Regarding BOM item return(KITs Return)

Can any one please help me:
Basically a BOM item (TPH77500--- Not Batch determined) hold 3 components TMD7710, TMD7711, TMD7712.( all the components are batch determined)
I have completed the Oto C for the above BOM item with a qty of 2. When I am trying to return 1 qty of the BOm item, It is populating its components with qty 1, butduring delivery it is saying the error log as below;
1. Document is Incomplete:You cannot Post Goods Movement for the material TPH7750
2. The batches are not defined for the delivery item TPH7750.
I have checked in the path edit---> Incompleteness Log, In that It is giving adescription:as per the status Group D8 in the Incompleteness Procedure L1 The Batches /valuation Type is not completely allocated.
but the BOM item is not a batch determined material where as the components are Batch determined.
Can any help me how I can rectify the above one so that I can check the KITs Return Process and the KIt's Component Return Process.

Hi BadariNath,
Assume the bom item is not maintained "batch management" in MM. Pls ensure "Batches /valuation Type" is not checked in Incompleteness Procedure.

I have a requirement to overwrite the BOM components with the new components.The program should just overwrite the existing components.The program is not required to check the existing components it should just overwrite with the new structure to the existing BOM.

Changing a Material BOM
In the standard system, you use the following function modules to change a material BOM:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN
CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
Open BOM: CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
This function module is used to open a BOM for changes. The BOM is imported with the relevant valid-from date and is locked. Provided that no error occurs opening the BOM, the result returned by the module is the BOM header data, a table of BOM items, and a table of object dependencies.

BOM usage (BOM_USAGE)
Valid-from date (VALID_FROM)
Change number (CHANGE_NO)
Revision level (REVISION_LEVEL)
Indicator FL_NO_CHANGE_DOC (do not write change documents)

Maintain BOM Items: CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN
Once you have opened a BOM successfully (without errors), you can use this function module to process the individual BOM items.
You can:
Create new items
The fields for item node and item counter must be initial when you create a new item.
Change items
From the table of BOM items, select the item you want to change, and transfer the changed data. The fields for item node and item counter must contain a value, because these are the fields used to uniquely identify an item in a BOM.
Delete items
From the table of BOM items, select the item you want to delete, and set the deletion indicator. The fields for item node and item counter must contain a value.
Maintain object dependencies
If you want to change or delete a local object dependency for a BOM item that has more than one dependency, enter the internal name of the dependency.
You cannot use the external name that you entered when you created the dependency to identify the data belonging to a local dependency.

You cannot change the item category of an existing item.
You can only change each item once in one session (between when you open and close the BOM).
If you see the error message "Item cannot be changed" in the log, the following reasons may apply:
The item is not valid on the valid-from date entered, because it becomes valid at a later date.
Object dependencies are allocated to the item, but the change number you used to open the BOM is not active for object dependencies.
The item has already been processed with another change number on the valid-from date entered.
Close BOM: CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE
Once you have made your changes, use this function module to close the BOM. This saves the changes, unlocks the BOM, and writes the log.
The BOM is only saved if at least one item was changed successfully.
Please note the following points when changing BOMs:
There is no function module for changing header data.
The same restrictions apply as for creating a BOM.
You can only process one alternative or variant. If you do not enter an alternative when you call function module CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN, the function module opens alternative "01".

REGARDING BOM ITEMS

Dear PP Experts,
Can anyone tell me, what is the use of 'INSERT' function in the BOM - EDIT menu.
When i used it the system inserting the many lines in the item screen. I want to insert the only one line below the line which i selected.

As per your answer after entering the item in the inserted line & enter, the item is going at the last line of the BOM not in the inserted line . The item number showing is correct.

To stop delivery if one of the BOM items not available. -- how?

I have BOM items
Item Description
10         abc
20         def
30         xyz
Items 10 and 20 are available in a particular date but item 30 is not available. Then save the document.
user does not know items are available or not then they will go VL01N.
There are empty deliveries with out items also but they are saving delivery.
Now they want stop in delivery if there is no items available, the system should not save the document
This is my requirement.
Please let me if you have any queries.Kindly help in this regard by suggesting suitable ideas.

I have a requirement regarding BOM items.
Client requirement is such a way that they have so many BOM items.
Example:
10 monitor
20 CPU
30 key board
When every it deliver these like this they so so many BOM items they use so document types different item categories.
At that time 10and 20 are available 30 is not available. Just they save the document. They will order number another user.
Based on the order number another user will create Delivery it is main 30 item is not available Empties in deliveries (reason is its group delivery.)
But they are able to save the document now they want if in deliveries no item system should not allow save the document.
please through some light on what basis we can stop saving the delivery document

Returns BOM - Item Category

Hi All,
For Returs of BOM Material, what could be the Item Category. For Forward Moement the Item Category group is ERLA.
Main item category = TAQ
Sub Item Category = TAE
For Returns what will be the Item category for the same.

Item Category for returns order and delivery

Hi,
We are using BOM. As we know basing on the Item cat group ERLA, LUMF there are 4 different item categories TAQ,TAE,TAP,TAN respectively for main item and sub items. Now my business wants to do return process for a BOM item which has been already delivered and invoiced.
Please could any body tell me what would be the item cat for BOM item in return process?
Is there any SAP standard item cat available for this?
Can we configure an Item cat for the same?

Hi Revan,
In standard procedure there is no item Category assigned for the returns of ERLA or LUMF material. You may have to define new Item category similar to REN but with the structurescope defined as 'A' or 'B' as per the requirement.

After upgrade SP-Crawl Error: The SharePoint item being crawled returned an error when attempting to download the item.

Hi All - After the upgrade, I am getting SP-Crawl Error for certain links. I check the Crawl component has proper permission.
Google is showing some article like

If I am browsing on site such as Ebay or any shopping site, and click on an item, when I return to the search page I am once again at the top of the page and have to search down for where I was in the list of items.

This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Difference MBRL - ME21N with items specified as return items

Hi Gurus,
can you please help me to understand the difference of these two return processes.
We are using ECC 6.0 and want to implement a "standard" process for returning goods to the supplier if they don't meet our expectations.
So now i have implemented the whole customizing for doing this with ME21N and now i found the transaction MBRL, wich also allows to creaty SD-Deliveries. And now i am wondering where is the difference.
With ME21N i found one big disatvantage - i can not refere to another document, like a delivery schedule or former purchase order.
For information i would be very grateful.

thanks for your reply.
So for me it seems that ME21N (PO creation) has no advantage for returing goods to the supplier. No reference to previous document, additonal step in the process to create a PO.
With MIGO (Return Delivery) or MBRL you can refer to another document and you can also create SD-Deliveries.
So my question is more general - why does SAP provide the possibility to return goods within the ME21N when there is an easier and faster possibility. For me having another document (purchase order with item specified as return item) just means having additional complexity.
But maybe I am wrong and there is an advantage i am not able to see at the moment.

The SharePoint item being crawled returned an error when attempting to download the item.

I get this error when I run full crawl.

I did make sure that the crawl account has full read access to the web application. I am able to access the page and site just fine from a browser. I am not sure what is causing the problem.

Credit Memo for Service items that are returned

Hey Friends,
I'm trying to create credit memo for a service item that is returned. I sold one laptop with one year extended warranty and now I want to RMA both the laptop and extended warranty.
What are the setups to create credit memo - when I do the RMA, it's only has one line because the extended warranty is non-returnable. I ran Main Billing program but nothing happened. After running autoinvoice, I was able to see the credit memo only for the laptop and not the service item. Ideally they should be in the same credit memo and not separate.

How to get the latest and valid BOM item entry from STPO

hi,
may i know with what condition we can get the latest and valid BOM item entry from STPO table?
i have STLNR and IDNRK as a input. But i realized that it would return multiple entry due to the combination of valid-from and valid till date.
can i use stlnr,idnrk and stpoz (with the latet counter) to get the latest and valid BOM entry?

Field: RC29P-MENGE
But RC29P is structure, i am looking for table to get the data, is there any function module can return directly or do we have separate table, please let me know.

Hi Satya,
In a CO project, I used the function BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_GETEXPLOSION to read the BOM for the material, the MENGE is under fieldname QUANTITY on table explosion_list.
And, also used another two BAPI's which gather more detailed information BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_ITEMIZATION and BAPI_COSTESTIMATE_GETDETAIL.

There is the requirement for the procedure & configuration of returnable & non returnable gate pass for any material going out for repair or for refillment in our company.Also tracking its billing documents which can include service + replacement of any spares.With print out of the document.

4. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Maintain Print Indicator for GI/Transfer Posting Documents
5. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Maintain Output Types, for the Output types WE01, WE02 and WE03, ensure the foll:
a. Default Values: Dispatch Time is 3 or 4 as per reqmt. and Tr medium is 1
b. Print Parameter is 7
6. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Printer Det->Pr Det by Pl/StoLoc, maintain the Output device for all your Plants
7. Go to MN21, for Tr Type WE, Print Version 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
Now the settings are ready for Printing Material doc
8. While doing MIGO, ensure that in General Tab, you get "3 Collective Slip" beside the Print Indicator and you tick mark the field.
9. Now depending on the setting in 5a, the Matl doc is printed. If it is 3, you have to print it using MB90. If it is 4, it is printed immediately.

this part will come in ur process part
if ur using ur own part then agin u have to issue it to the vendor
or if its been used by the vendor then u have to pay charges manually

Delete a range of bom items

Hi experts,
I need guidances and solutions on my problem here.
I retrieve bom level using function 'CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2'. Then it returns all levels of bom components, but here i need to do a checking.
Loop at table of bom return by function 'CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2', if the matrt = ZHLB and matkl <>WP100 at level 1, then i need to delete all the sub bom items at the following levels(level 2 and level 3) belongs to it.
How can i do a checking on this and delete all those related bom items?

u can do by using the table STAB output.
