Regarding Certification Details in Oracle Portal

Hi All,
I did OCA and OCP certification two years back. I have used weblink to see the history of my certification details with score card in oracle portal. Now i m hutting for the same link to see my certification details in the portal.
If anybody know how to see our certified details in oracle portal please forward me the same and its quite urgent.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Prabu

Hi Prabu,
There is currently not a way to view your certification history online. We are working on a system that will allow this, but the system is still several months out. If you need to verify your certification details for a 3rd party (or for yourself), you can send an email to [email protected] and request verification of your certification(s). If you need to verify for a 3rd party, simply copy the 3rd party on the request and ask that the verification team reply to all in their response. Your 3rd party will receive the information required.

  • CERTIFICATION DETAILS FOR ORACLE DATABASE 11gR2 (11.2.0.3) with Oracle 9i AS.

    Hi,
    My client is planning to upgrade from 10.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3 database(AIX 6L). Client having ORACLE 9I AS on different machine and connecting to 10.2.0.2.  I am trying to check the certification details for this. but could not able to.  Any references please?
    I gone through MOS certification, but could not find any thing related to this combination.
    I am in the way of checking further options as well..
    Regards
    DBA....

    Well, seeing as how AS 10g has been gone since 2009 Oracle Application Server 10g 9.0.4 & 9.0.4.x (Doc ID 295948.1) I'm not sure an older version would be supported.  Now, that's been superseded by an alleged lifetime support policy http://www.oracle.com/us/support/library/lifetime-support-technology-069183.pdf
    but that probably has a funny definition of who's life.

  • Need help regarding certification alternative to weblogic portal developnme

    Hi All,
    I was planning to give weblogic portal certification (1z0-110).
    But I found that the 1z0-110 certification is retired.
    Can anybody guide me to some other alternative.
    I am a JAVA developer who is interested in doing some server certification. I am not going for admin certification because I think that will not help me as a JAVA developer.
    Thanks in advance

  • Oracle Portal master details default value set up.

    Hi All,
    Using Oracle Portal to create a master details form.
    I have tried to set up the details table foreign key. I used the master table primary key as a default value for the details table foreign key.
    Does anyone know what the correct syntax is when I fill in the Default Value field on the "Formatting and Validation Options for Detail Row" tab?
    Also related to this: What should I choose from the drop down menu for the "Default Value Type"?
    Best Regards.

    Cape Town City Council.

    Hi Liviu & Paul,
    NOTE: The following is applicable to Portal version 3.0.8 and above .
    Well, if you want that the Detail table Foreign key should get the value of The Mater Table Primary key, then you need not do anything like setting the Default value for the Foreign Key of the Detail section. It works like this :-
    Operation INSERT:
    When you are INSERTing a master record and the corresponding detail records, just fill up the master form and need not worry about the Foreign key(FK) in the Detail rows. Fill up the other columns for the detail rows and choose the appropriate action for each of the detail rows i.e. INSERT and click on the SAVE button. If the FK in the Detail have been left blank, then while inserting into the detail table, the Primary Key (PK) value of the master will be picked up and inserted . However, if you specify any value in the FK column of the Detail, then the specified value would override the PK value of the master.
    Generally, what ppl do is make the FK in the detail of type Hidden.. so users cannot tamper with the FK values.
    Hope this helps.

  • Regarding Oracle Portal 10g

    Hi all...
    I'm currently working with portal related application.
    but I'm looking for exact steps how to configure jsp pages on Oracle portal.
    How to host those on portal server???
    Anyone who can guide me further..... ASAP
    Thanking you in anticipation..

    If you are primarily looking to build JSP/ Servlet based portlets use the Jdeveloper 10g which will build skeleton code for you. You can deploy the same like a war or ear file to 10g AS and access via Portal.

  • Sample  PL/SQL Portlet Source Code for Oracle Portal 9ias

    Hi, I'm a newbie of Oracle Portal technology, and I have a problem:
    I would create a PL/SQL portlet that realizes the following functions:
    1) Retrieve the username of the portal user logged from WWCTX_API.GET_USER function.
    2) Insert into an oracle db table two values about two hidden fields in the HTML FORM of the portlet.
    3) Realize the insert commit through the click on the submit button on the Html form of the portlet. I would redirect by the same button to an other page url also.
    I've never developed in Portal, and may be useful if someone could post me the source code of the SHOW MODE SECTION in the PROCEDURE SHOW of a SAMPLE PL/SQL PORTLET that realizes the upper functions.
    Thanks a lot....

    Hi
    Here's the code from Helloworld_Portlet example:
    procedure show
    p_portlet_record wwpro_api_provider.portlet_runtime_record
    is
    l_portlet wwpro_api_provider.portlet_record;
    begin
    if (not is_runnable(
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_reference_path => p_portlet_record.reference_path)
    ) then
    raise wwpro_api_provider.PORTLET_SECURITY_EXCEPTION;
    end if;
    Retrieve the portlet information.
    l_portlet := get_portlet_info(
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_language => p_portlet_record.language
    if (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW) then
    if (p_portlet_record.has_title_region) then
    Draw the portlet header and specify what links are available
    from that header (i.e. details, customize, help, and about).
    The has_title property is set at the page region level.
    wwui_api_portlet.draw_portlet_header
    p_provider_id => p_portlet_record.provider_id
    ,p_portlet_id => p_portlet_record.portlet_id
    ,p_title => l_portlet.title
    ,p_has_details => true
    ,p_has_edit => true
    ,p_has_help => true
    ,p_has_about => true
    ,p_referencepath => p_portlet_record.reference_path
    ,p_back_url => p_portlet_record.page_url
    end if;
    Draw the portlet borders.
    The has_border property is set at the page region level.
    wwui_api_portlet.open_portlet(p_portlet_record.has_border);
    Display the content of the portlet in the show mode.
    Use the wwui_api_portlet.portlet_text() API when
    generating the content of the portlet so that the
    output uses the portlet CSS.
    htp.p(wwui_api_portlet.portlet_text(
    p_string => 'Hello World - Mode Show'
    ,p_level => 1
    if (p_portlet_record.has_border) then
    wwui_api_portlet.close_portlet;
    end if;
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_ABOUT) then
    Display the about page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show About');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_EDIT) then
    Display the edit page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Edit');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_HELP) then
    Display the help page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Help');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_EDIT_DEFAULTS) then
    Display the edit defaults page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Edit Defaults');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_SHOW_DETAILS) then
    Display the details page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Details');
    elsif (p_portlet_record.exec_mode = wwpro_api_provider.MODE_PREVIEW) then
    Display the preview page for the portlet.
    htp.p('Hello World - Mode Show Preview');
    end if;
    end show;
    I think you need to add this:
    You can get the values of your html-form with this command:
    v_hidden_1 varchar2(256);
    v_hidden_2 varchar2(256);
    v_hidden_1 := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('name_of_hidden_1_in_html_form','p');
    v_hidden_2 := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value('name_of_hidden_2_in_html_form','p');
    You can get the actual URL with this command:
    v_url := p_portlet_record.page_url;
    Hope that helps.

  • Problem running Oracle Portal to Go (Oracle9i 1.0.2.0.0)

    I have installed Oracle9i Application Server WE 1.0.2.0.0 Standard Edition on Windows2000 Professional Edition. I am getting problems regarding running Portal to Go.
    The installer said that installation was successful. Moreover I have done the configuration tasks mentioned Oracle9i installation guide under post installation steps for Oracle9i.
    But Oracle Portal to Go is not running and returning error message. Are there some other tasks still to perform to configure the Oracle Portal to Go Standard Edition?
    Here it is a brief Description of what I have done with the installations process
    System: Pentium II 500 MHZ with 256 MB RAM and 15 GB Hard Disk so enough space available for installations.
    Windows 2000 professional was freshly installed
    All pre installation tasks are done like paging file size is 896MB
    Important Installation steps and points are as under (Standard Edition of Oracle 9i Application Server 1.0.2.0.0):
    I followed all the steps given in Oracle 9i AS installation guide
    On Windows 2000 Installer never asks for reboot before actually installing the Oracle 9i application server (Chapter 4 of installation guide: preparing system for installation: step5: page 5 of 25). So I manually reboot the system
    During installation when I reached Database Access Descriptor (DAD) for Oracle Portal. In TNS connect string field for Apache listener Configuration I entered the same name (abc) (chapter 4 of installation guide: installing oracle 9i Application server: step2, 3: page 10,11 of 25) as I was going to use for my Global database name later at database Identification steps (chapter 4 of installation guide: installing oracle 9i Application server: step 4: page 12 of 25)
    Note: In an other installation I left the same fields (TNS connect string) blank but of no use.
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    When installation of Oracle9i AS reaches 100% installer opens a command prompt and displays
    ORA: 12541 TNS: No Listener
    Enter user name:
    When I enter SYSTEM as a user name it displays
    Password:
    I entered manager as password and then it displays
    ORA 12560: TNSProtocol adaptor error
    And once again it asks for user name and password
    I once again enter system as a user and manager as password.
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    After 100% completion of the installation the configuration tools screen appears
    (Chapter 4 of installation guide: installing oracle 9i Application server: step 10: page 17 of 25) and the following tasks are performed
    Net8 configuration Assistant succeeds
    Oracle database configuration assistant succeeds
    When The Oracle portal 3.0 configuration Assistant Starts
    I hold the installation steps for oracle portal for a while and do some database configuration tasks that are necessary (may be some are not) for installation of portal.
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    For example
    Increase the table space size of Users (400 MB), and Temp (100MB) table spaces.
    Validated invalid PL/SQL Modules with ULTRP.SQL script
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    Installed dbms_job.sql package as it was mentioned in another guide (Oracle portal-to-Go installation Guide- Release1.0.2: Page 1: last line)
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    Stopped the database and listener
    And did some changes as was asked in Oracle portal-to-Go installation Guide- Release1.0.2
    Edited the init<SID>.ora file and set the following fields
    aq_tm_processes = 1
    job_queue_processes = 4 (2 were recommended in guide but I left the already set values)
    job_queue_interval = 30
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    Also I did the following too (though these are recommended for Internet file system)
    opern_cursors = 300 (in installation guide it is asked 255 but I kept the already set value)
    shared_pool_size = 52438800 (50M was suggested and this is more than that)
    processes = 200
    (Please let me know if I have made any mistake here)
    I started the database and listener
    Proceeded the installation of Oracle Portal as is described in installation guide for Oracle 9i Application guide 1.0.2.0.0
    And successfully completed the installation of Oracle Portal
    There were no errors reported on the installer however when I read the installation log some errors were mentioned at the end of the file
    Please see the attached log file.
    I also completed all the post installation tasks at the end of chapter 4 of Oracle9i Application Server installation guide 1.0.2.0.0 except the configuration of Oracle Internet file system (is it necessary for running Oracle Portal to Go)
    When I run the oracle portal to go the following situation is encountered
    Working: http://localhost/pls/portal30/admin_/dadentries.htm
    Error at: http://localhost/pls/portal30/portal30.home
    Error: The preference path does not exist: Oracle.Portal.Page (WWC-51000)
    (And this is the main source of confusion)
    Working: http://localhost/pls/portal30/admin_/gateway.htm?schema=portal30
    Working: http://et-wks-08:5555/invoke/wm.server.admin/adminPage
    Are there any other guides and post installation steps still to follow to successfully run this Portal to Go or it is sufficient?
    I can also send the installation logs of both Oracle 9i application server (installActions.log and installActions2001-05-28_03-50-56-PM.log) and Oracle portal to Go (install.log).
    If you ask, I can send you the installation guides that I have followed and the screen shoots of the error messages for a detail review.
    Moreover can anyone please tell me if this version of Oracle 9i Application server is ok or I must try some other version?
    Also advise any other if any successful configuration and installation options.
    Is it possible to run this portal to go with any other installation options/arrangements/configurations etc?
    Any help from anyone will be highly appreciated.

  • Custom DB authentication to an application from Oracle Portal not working.

    Hi All,
    We have a Portal customized and integrated to LDAP for SSO.
    From the portal, we have a link that takes to another custom application that requires another level of authentication. We have implemented this authentication as custom Database based authentication.
    When user login to the portal and access this link, he will be directed for authentication again. This custom application has been installed on a different OC4J instance while Oracle Portal is running in a different OC4J instance.
    Issue is though user details are being propagated to the custom application page, we are receiving an error saying authentication failed.
    In the OC4J instance specific for this custom application, we have configured jazn.xml to use custom authentication.
    Below is the code:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8' standalone = 'yes'?>
    <!DOCTYPE jazn PUBLIC "JAZN Config" "http://xmlns.oracle.com/ias/dtds/jazn-9_04.dtd">

    <property name="role.mapping.dynamic" value="true"/>
    <property name="custom.loginmodule.provider" value="true"/>
    </jazn>
    and in jazn-data.xml, we gave the role mapping.
    But the problem is when the link to the custom application is accessed, it seems like the custom autentication mechanism is not working.
    Can anyone throw light on this?
    Do we need to give the same configuration in the j2ee/home/config directory files also?
    Can we use both LDAP and custom DB authentication with in the same OAS setup. Remember as of now, Portal and custom application are running in different OC4J instances but within the same OAS.
    Any help in this regard will be highely appreciated.

  • Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6 with OAM 11.1.1.5

    Hi All,
    I have the following customer requirement.
    Oracle Portal 11.1.1.6 which is deployed on WebLogic Server 10.3.6
    Oracle Access Manager 11.1.1.5.0
    Oracle Internet Directory 11.1.1.6.0
    The customer wants to have Single Sign On for the Oracle Portal Application. This is my understanding about the Architecture.
    Oracle HTTP Server (with WebLogic Proxy Plug-in) talks to Oracle Portal
    Oracle HTTP Server (the same above with WebGate) talks to Oracle Access Manager
    Oracle HTTP Server has Oracle Web Cache
    Oracle Access Manager talks to OID
    Oracle Portal talks to OID with OID Authenticator
    When I went through the Oracle Portal documents, they give steps for Oracle Portal which is deployed on Oracle Application Server but not with WebLogic.
    My questions
    1) Do I need to configure OID Authenticator at myrealm of WebLogic Domain (which hosts Oracle Portal) to connect to OID?
    2) Is there anything more I need to do to integrate Oracle Portal with OID (Meaning running pl/sql scripts or any)?
    3) Kindly advice me about the flow of Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle Web Cache, Oracle Web Gate to OAS and Oracle Portal?
    Thank you

    ZoranZoran,
    What you are tryiing to accomplish is the different than what Somerset's. Yours is the Oracle webcenter portal vs. Somerset's is the Oracle Portal.

  • How to put links to E-Business suite pages in Oracle Portal

    Hi All,
    I am looking to create an employee portal using Oracle Portal 11g. One of the requirements is to provide some summary information on, say benefits in the portal and provide a link to the detailed benefits page in e-business suite from there (portal is fully integrated with EBS in our case). Can someone with experience doing this put light on the following :
    1. What is the simplest way to provide the links ?
    2. Is there any way to make them migration proof ? for example : my link now points to the DEV environment and in the production, it should point to the PROD.

  • Certification status of Oracle 10g server on windows 7

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to understand if Oracle 10g server is certified on windows 7, but I have found conflicting informations.
    Note 952302.1 "Is Microsoft Windows 7 certified to install/run Oracle Database Server/Client ?" says :
    "Microsoft Windows 7" certification will begin with "Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.x)". That means, Oracle Database 11gR2 will be the first Oracle Database product certified/supported to install/run on "Microsoft Windows 7".
    Oracle also planning to certify "10.2.0.5 Client" on Windows 7. Please refer following article for further information
    Note 1061272.1 Statement of Direction: Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Client (10.2.0.5) with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
    Note 1061272.1 "Statement of Direction: Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Client (10.2.0.5) with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" has only informations related to oracle 10g CLIENT.
    So far, so good: Oracle clearly says that only oracle 10g client is certified on windows 7...
    However, if I look for info in the "certification" tab in Metalink I found conflicting informations. I have build a matrix looking for:
    Product: "Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition"
    Release / version: All release / Versions
    Platform / Version: "Microsoft Windows (32 bit) > 7"
    Tier: All tiers
    And - surprise!- I see that Oracle 10gR2 is in the "Extended Support" status !
    The certifications detail says that Oracle 10.2.0.5.0 is required, and that "11gR1 database and client and 10gR2 database certification are not planned for Windows 7" !
    This is really a mess!
    Did you found some clearer documentations ?
    How can we shed some light on this topic?
    thanks,

  • Oracle Portal - Associated Procedures With Custom Item

    Dear Gurus,
    I need to ask a question, when i have a custom Item built using Oracle Portal 10.1.4.2.0. and we have two procedures associated with this item. I need to display this item in some place with the first procedure and in another place with the second prcoedure.
    What i want to explain is written as an example
    Custom Item Type asscoiated with two different procedures (News Custom Item Type with two different procedures "brief procedure" and "detail procedure").
    In one page i need to invoke the first procedure to display the item in Detail view and the second procedure to diplay the item in Brief view.
    How can i invoke different procedures associated with this custom item type or how can i apply different procedures on custom item type to gain different views.
    Please can help me or if you need a details i can presents more details.
    hint:
    i know something in Oracle Portal called ("Associated procedures"). and we use "related funbctions" attribute when we need to invoke a procedure to render some Custom Item Type.
    But i cannot do that and this question is very important
    Best Regards,

    I've sorted this now - silly me, I'd left a <blank line> attribute in the display properties...

    You may want to use ssoxoid.pkb package that comes with Portal/Login Server 3.0.9 which simplifies the configuration.
    Also, you will not have to run the external procdure listener. Please refer to the Login Server Admin. guide for more details.
    NOTE:
    the 3.0.9.8.0 version of ssoxoid.pkb is not good. You need to download 3.0.9.8.2 patch and get the ssoxoid.pkb file from there.
    Also, you may want to turn on debug for SSO Server to see debug msg.
    DEBUG
    ========
    You need to loginto the Login Server schema and run following commands to see debug msg.
    sqlplus portal30_sso/password
    TO TURN ON DEBUG
    1. Create debug proceure
    CREATE OR replace PROCEDURE debug_print (str VARCHAR2) AS
    PRAGMA autonomous_transaction;
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO wwsso_log$ VALUES
    (wwsso_log_pk_seq.nextval,
    substr(str, 1, 1000),
    sysdate,
    dbms_session.unique_session_id
    commit;
    END debug_print;
    show errors;
    TO SEE THE DEBUG LOG
    2. Try to login using portal login link
    and see the error msg from the log table
    select msg from wwsso_log$ order by id;
    TO STOP THE DEBUG LOG
    3. Delete the log
    delete from wwsso_log$ ;
    commit;
    4. Turn off debugging
    CREATE OR replace PROCEDURE debug_print (str VARCHAR2)
    AS
    BEGIN
    null;
    END debug_print;
    show errors;
