Is it like that there is no OCA for Developer track and other thing i want to know is that Internet Developer Track is the latest track in Forms Development are or there is new one available

Could you please explain what is the difference between beta exam and the normal one.Q) What is the difference between a Beta exam and a production exam?
A) Beta exams are used by Oracle to test new exam questions with the participation of a live audience. I see that 1Z0-146 is the final paper for OCP (Advanced PL/SQL programmer). Can I not get a OCA certification in 11g?You can get the "Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate" certificate if you pass (1Z0-001 or 1Z0-007 or 1Z0-047 or 1Z0-051) + 1Z0-147 exam.

I would like to go for Oracle 11g certification in Developer track. I've already given 1Z0-051 paper.
Is OCA 11g certification in Developer track now available. And if it is not currently available, I believe when it is going to be released the first paper is going to the be same (1Z0-051) and I could give the second paper and get the certification.

There is no certification exam for Reports.
Forms Certification is obtained by achieving PL/SQL OCA and taking a relevant forms exam to achieve Forms OCP.

What follows should be taken as IMHO. It is your time/money/expense to choose as you will.
If you take older version exams then you have not demonstrated initiative to to study using more modern exams with more relevant topics taking on board more recent features.
Hopefully as Pearson has is already identified one Oracle DBMS 12c exam (1z1-060) in its offerings (not currenty bookable I may add); and as 12c RDBMS is on the soon to be in production in 2013; and because of the indicator of ISBN-13: 978-0071820288 ....... 1z0-147 and 1z0-007 should finally be retired in 2013, IMHO not before time.
( 1z0-147 is more 9i (or 8i) than 10g ... in fact possibly inappropriate for 10g )

Most useful (and difficult too) certification -for developer

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that - i need to recommend to my management about a very useful certification - one that marks a quite high level of skill too. and this is for Development track -not on DBA track. The release is at least Oracle 10g . Which one would fit this need? They flatly tell me that ocp is just so easy and they want to find a better one.
Is Oracle expert on Pl/sql the one that is best choice based on this need? (we don't use oracle application developer so , while I know there is a certificaiton there, it is not relevant to us).

OCA in developer track

Hi,
I am an OCA in DBA track by completion of the exams 1z0-007 and 1z0-030. Now I want to take up OCA in developer track. I believe that the exams to be taken up are 1z0-007 and 1z0-147. Could anyone please confirm if I am in the right track to go for the exam 1z0-147?

According to Oracle Certification Program, in order to get Developer OCA (Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate)you should give on of belowe listed exams

Making changes at different stages of Development Track

This is a general question. I was wondering what Configuration needs to be imported into NWDS at different stages of Development Track with let's say 3 run time systems, dev-test-prod, defined per track. When i start the development i will import _dev configuration and add DCs, But not sure which configuration to be downloaded at the other sages. Post activation modifications, post release modifications etc..

DJ My question was in the context that, i have followed the scenario 3 tutorial for Development of techno and appl described on help.sap.com. In this tutorial i never came across a scenario where i need to import configuration back after i have, lets say activated the changes or may be after releasing the changes. If one comes across such a situation what configuration one needs to import from sld?
Hope i make myself clear? My apologies for the confusion.
Also what happens if one uses the same system for both dev and test, does the component get deployed multiple times on the same machine? I am squeezing in this question here, not sure if should do that or start a new thread.

Query Regarding Oracle SQL Developer

Hi Guru's,
There is a confusion regarding Installing SQL Developer, whether i need to install Oracle Software on my machine so that i use SQL Developer from my machine or i use SQL Developer without installing Oracle Software as i check the documentation for installing SQL Developer it gives info for installing SQL Developer JDK need to be installed and the correct path need to be initialized. May be this is stupid question but i want to clear my doubt.
Any suggestion for the same. Thanks in advance.

OCP Certification-Forms Developer(1z0-141)

Hi,
i am planning to take my OCP exam on Developer track(1z0-141). i don't have any idea about the book i need to refer.kindly let me know which book would be recommended for the exam(1z0-141).

The following book is for 1z0-131/1z0-132 but is still probablly useful. However it is difficult and expensive to get hold of and any second hand editions may be without the cdrom:
Oracle Certified Professional: Building Internet Applications I & II Exam Guide: ISBN: 9780072193336
I believe the current oracle recommended training course is :
Oracle Forms Developer 10g: Build Internet Applications
I had a quick glance and could not seem to see a self study kit for this course.
Checking out the examination objectives is of course useful, and the contents of the recommended training course is also worth a look.

Regarding Oracle 9i database track validity

I completed my OCA on Feb 23 2005 and have cleared the ORACLE9I DATABASE: FUNDAMENTALS II paper on Feb 26 2005 and since then I have not appeared for the final paper (Oracle 9i Performance Tuning - 1Z0-033).
Now I am planning to appear for the last paper, but am bit concerned as there is a long gap since I appeared for the last exam.
Can you help me to confirm that to complete my become Oracle 9i OCP, I just need to appear for the last exam (i.e. 1Z0-033)

From your earlier reponse I understand that the Forms and PL/SQL developer certifications are not specific to a version in the way the DBA certification is..Correct for 9i, 10g, and 11g (but NOT for Developer 6i).
If my understanding is correct, then for the Oracle PL/SQL developer certifications (OCA/OCP), can I prepare with _{color:#0000ff}9i{color}_ SQL & PL/SQL topics/books for the exams 1Z0-001/1Z0-007/1Z0-047 & 1Z0-147 & 1Z0-146 (as the changes across the Oracle versions are at the database front & not related to PL/SQL as such)? Could you please confirm this for me?It should be OK to use this reference. However, I would recommend you refer to the exams links and make sure you cover ALL the topics under "Exam Topics" section (especially new features) before appearing for the exam.
