Regarding claims in ESS

hi experts,
i have configued the old claims functionality in the ESS everything is working fine now the users wants that all the payment must be donw through offcycle.
for this i have activated this BADI:HRPBSIN_SEL_PAYMODE but this badi is not triggering whenever i check in ESS and in the r/3 side in report "HINUUPDATE_STATUS" the offcycle column is blank .
plz help me what sud i do so that to make payment through offcycle why this badi is not working .
in the BADI i have written this codes:
for medical:
data:wa Type PIN_REIMB_PMODE.
move:'O' to wa-PMODE,
'SMED' to wa-REIMB_TYP.
append:wa to REIMB_PAY_MODE.
clear:wa.

Make sure you have done the basic HR settings for medical, Car/fuel maintainance etc.,
After this, go to claim specific spro nodes and define reimbursement types.
BTW, what is meant >> Only LTA is working but others are not working ?
What is the error messages your getting on the portal for other reimbursement types other than LTA ?

Regarding JDI and ESS

Dear all,
   We have scenario here where our client perform netweaver upgrade to 7.0 (2004s), as told by the basis, during his performance of the update, there's an option for him to choose whether to keep or upgrade the ESS, and he has choosed to keep the ESS version. fyi, they have done some modification to the ESS before. some how after the upgrade, the ESS seems to become standard instead of the previous customized version. And he claimed that he has upgraded the NWDI as well. from my understanding is, he need to create a new track in NWDI, and i shall manually change the codes ( pls correct me if i am wrong) . But the basis said that he did not create any new track and it is not necessary and he said that the new EP is using the old track as well..any idea if this can be done?? pls advice. thank you.

I've seen the log for System Infor fro their EP6 and EP7
and i took out one sample
in EP6 ( the one with customized ESS )

Can i jump into the conclusion that for EP7, it has been overwritten by the SAP_ESS 600?
if this is the case, what can i do to get the customized ESS to run in EP7?

Problem in standard workflow of claims in ESS

Hi ,
I am functional consultant and I am facing problem in standard workflow of claims WS18900023 .
When approver clicks on approve button it gives message that ' Validation is succesful 'and it does not get approved.
When approver clicks on Approve button it should say that request has been approved and that workiten should go from his inbox but this is not happening .That workitem still shows in his inbox with same status of to be approved .
Kinldy help in resolving this issue .

Hi Archana,
I assue that you have activated the BADI GET_NEXT_APPROVER.
Follow these steps.
=> Request for claims from portal.
=> Then in SAP run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_ACRP and check the request status. It should show as To Be Approved.
=> Then logon as manager and approve the request from UWL.
=> Now agian in SAP run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_ACRP and check the request status. It should show as Approved. ( If your maintaining Multi level approval process status will be Partially Approved).
=> Once it shows status Approved, Run the T-code HRPBSIN_AC_INFU, it will show the list of requests to be update in IT0015.

Regarding error in ESS integration with EP

Hi,
We are currently integrating ESS 60.2 (mySAP ERP 2004) business package with portal EP6.0 (SP14).
We were able to view the workset and all the pages like Employee Search, Personal Information etc.
But when we click on the links in that page, we are getting a javascript error stating <b>object required</b>.
Also, when we click any of the links we are getting an error stating <b>Personnel number not yet assigned</b>.
We have already assigned the personnel number in transaction PA30 for the user and we had also set the validity of user id.
Still we are facing the same problem.
Its very urgent.
Can anyone help us to solve the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Regarding claim creation through Web

Hi friends,
We have process like through dealer service call we can create claim call as a followup, but here the thing is that for suppose service call has got 1 line item of 2 quantity I should suppose to create 2 claims with each of 1 qty. or I should suppose to create one claim with 2 qty. But in present scenario I can create multiple claims, which should not suppose to happen. At present it is giving prompt with all the items and qty.details when I click create followup option. Is there any way to solve this like first time if I create one claim with 1 qty, next time in prompt it should display item with remaining qty. i.e. 1 only. Kindly clarify me.
Note: Through web we are using this process to create claim.

If the Machine product has a spare part which is failed and service call has identifed from the customer that both the quantity is for the same Machine product then one claim with two qty will work. If the same customer has raised a service call for two machine product's and one spare part each then two claim transaction each one qty is required. Currently in our project the dealer is allowed to raise a claim with two different line item and not same line item more than one qty. The business logic behind this is same spare part which is failed cannot be serviced again within 30 days time...

IMG -> Payroll -> Payroll: India -> Employee Self-Services (India) -> Advanced Claims -> Reimbursement Type and Request Type settings -> Maintain Attributes of Request Types .
Here you will have a field 'Number of requests'. Here maintain the number of requests you want to create every month.

Claim advance request ESS - Attachments

Hello experts
Actually we are uploding documents/attachments from portal while raising claims in HR ..now the issue is that the documents are stored in SAP ECC database and client want to divert to Content server ...we are unable to know where the documents being stored in sap database any help
Pls help me.
We are using the Advanced Claim Std ESS functionality/iView
also i spoke with our DMS guy he is saying he checked the DMS tables but the documents are not storing in those tables

Thanks for your response, i have already gone through this BADI, but i want to store the attachments into Open text server. But this badi is used to store in DMS, can u pls provide the sample code for storing into third party server like Open text. I have gone through the sap note but didnt found the sample code.

claims for India is a newly released service on which there is not much documentation. However, you can find help in

SAP ERP -> SAP ERP Central Component -> select 'English' Release 6.0 SR1, SP 11 -> SAP ERP Central Component -> Human Resources -> Payroll (PY) -> Payroll India (PY-IN) -> 'Employee Self-Service India' and 'Employee Self-Services (ESS)' -> 'Claims Employee Self-Service' -> 'Loans Employee Self-Service' etc.

Error in ESS claims Functionality

Hi all,
We are on track for implementing Standard ESS Claims Functionality.
While taking advance there is no issue but when we go for Claim Against
Advance it is throwing error as
1. LTC Block Start and End Year not maintained in V_T511K
2. There is no eligibility for any of the dependents for LTC scheme (SLTA:CA:LTC:20110326).
While debugging we have come across that while call function to
HRXSS_IN_CL_SLTC_ELIGIBLITY there is no begda maintained in parameter
ifd_edate = pds_reqdt-trnsd-begda but when we see in table V_T511K LCT
Block start and end dates are maintained. PLs guide .

I have configured advanced claims now and the same are available in ESS also. Now i am facing the following problem:
The requestor is able to view his claims eligibility & create request for a claim type from ESS. here the request phase & status are changing from new to 'in-process' & 'Approved'. we are using the standard workflow WS18900023 for whijch we have maintained the task id also TS18900010. The problem that i am facing now is that the approval workflow is not getting triggered and the claim request is directly getting approved. please let me know if anyone knows where the problem lies or have faced a similar problem and found a work around.

assuming you are using the WDA Services and the Launchpad Navigation technology:
Your user needs authorizations which are explicitely checked in Standard Implementation PTRM_NEW_HRESS_MENU_CL in BADI HRESS_MENU. Otherwise the Service is hidden. Check this implementation for more details to actually understand when exactly the service is visible and when it's not.
Another thing you should do is run Report POWL_WLOAD to update the POWL queries after doing anything that manipulates the Personalization Framework of a POWL Application.

Hi All,
I have to add a field to "Mileage Details" screen of "Create a New Claim" in ESS 1.0 and it is a Java Webdynpro. Can somebody point to any info about travel/expenses tables, customising them, customising webdynpro screens for expenses and so on.

There is DEFINE FIELD SELECTIION
Sm34 > VV_PT_FLDSEL_NAM
Ptarq> Customising> Service Specific Settings > Workinmg time >
layout of Web application > Define Field Selection
and add these fields to teh absence in which you want tpo appear using V_t554s_web
Also regarding the clocks times
Unfortunately there is no setting available, You can use feature
HRSIF for this functionality. Please read the feature documentation
and check customisation in V_PTRAQ_PROCESS.
Depeding on your requirement you can decide how to use
PT_ARQ_REQUEST_CHECK ie hours field or the clock times.
That means you need to clear the time fields which are derived
from the work schedule and keep it empty since these fields
are hidden in your front end and no option for the pernr to modify
or correct the times.
