Regarding Compounded Infoobject

hai
i knew about compounded Infoobject Theoritically .
I want to know 'how to map the compounded infoobject' and 'how to map the source system to source system-id' like that real time stuff ...
Still now i didnt use this Compounded Infoobject . So please tell me STEP-BY-STEP Process of doing all the stuff related Compounded Infoobject .
Please also send some documents or forums or weblog related to compounded infoobject to [email protected] now
I wll assign the points
bye
mohammed

Dear Chakri,
1. Create Infoobject which you want to use as main infoobject(ZEMPLOYEE)
2. Go to the Compounding Tab, and add the compounding attribute over there..(say ZSOURCE).
Thats it.. so when ever you use ZEMPLOYEE system will always propose to use ZSOURCE also along with that(In cubes, transfer structures..queries.. everywhere..)
if you want to populate the ZSOURCE value with loadinf system name always.. use one of the transfer rule to get it filled with system name '0logsys' ( this is like our sy-datum.. and other system fields but holds the loagical name of the source system.

  • Multiple Customers Number displayed due to compounded InfoObject

    Hi Gurus,
I have one Compounded InfoObject "CUSTOMER" (compounded with InfoObject ROLE). There are also few display attributes(like CITY) in CUSTOMER InfoObject.
If there are 2 role assigned to 1 customer, it will display 2 records.
    For Example-
Customer 12345 have two role ABC and  DEF. It will display two records with customer number as ABC/12345 and DEF/12345.
My requirement is to display only 1 record for 1 customer(if multiple roles are assigned), irrespective of the role. I can't change the Compounded InfoObject CUSTOMER as it is used in several reports.
I also want some display attributs of CUSTOMER InfoObject in my report.
Please suggest any solution for this situation.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Alok

    Hi Alok,
I think Rambabu's option is the best option. If you can't delete data of info privers which include characteristic' CUSTOMER' you can create a new customer defined characteristic.
Also you can delete master data of info object CUSTOMER with debug mode (you can get help from an abap consultant), but deleting master data with debug mode is very dangerous process and it can cause of SID consistencies.
Secondly you can't add display attributs of  'CUSTOMER' to Bex Query unless you add CUSTOMER to the query. Why don't you set them as nav. attr.?
However if you use WebI you can add display attr. to your report .
    Thanks&Regards,
    Oya.

  • (Un-) Displaying Values of an COMPOUND InfoObjects in BEX

    Hello,
I have a Mastadata InfoObject with one Attribute and
    one Compound:
    <b>Masterdata - InfoObject:</b>
    IO_MASTER, with masterdata, CHAR(30)
    <b>Attribute:</b>
    IO_ATTRIBUTE, CHAR(29), ...
    <b>Compound:</b>
    IO_COMPOUND, CHAR(29), ...
...which means logical Primary Key is:
    <b>IO_MASTER, IO_COMPOUND</b>
In BEX the Masterdata InfoObjects displays values with "/".
    For Ex. as:
    <<i>IO_MASTER Value</i> / <i>IO_COMPOUND Values</i>>
I want to Display only as:
    <<i>IO_MASTER Value</i>>
    How  ?
    Thank You

  • Change run for Compounding  infoobjects

    Hi Experts,
I need a solution. My question is that do we have any option like attribute change run for compounded infoobjects.Ex.Componding change run??.
Issue is that.I have Characteristic infoObject ZBOMM i.e for Bill of material. It has attributes and compounded infoobjects. The componded infoobjects are 0plant and 0material.We know these compounded objects acts as an primary key for ZBOMM infoobject. When the changes happen for attributes, because of attribute change run it over writes all attributes of ZBOMM which will be available for reporting. But when it comes to compounding infobjects (0plant and 0 material) it will retain the old data and also reflects the new changed data.this is shows double entry in reports.I want the old data not to be present as it happens for attributes.
Is there any solution for this problem?.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks and Rgds
    ACE

    Hi!
    Run RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN for 0plant and 0material.
    Hope it helps!

  • Text for the compounded infoobject not displayed in BeX

    Dear All,
I have two infoobjects 'Action' and 'Action Reason'. 'Action Reason' is compounded to 'Action'. Its values are:
    Action      Action Reason
      T3                  6
Each of the infoobject has its own text table. I have displayed both of them in Bex with the option 'Key and Text' set in the properties option.
After execution, it is displayed as:
    Action(key)        Action(Text)                     Action Reason(key)         Action Reason(Text)
    T3                    Rehire - Non Employee        6                                    T3/6
What is misleading is the last one -T3/6. Here it should display the corresponding text but it is not ? Can anyone tell me what should be done ? I have tried almost all the options.
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi
Have you tried changing the Action reason -- Display-- Text at Query properties.
Check back whether the Action reason text has enabled at Info Object level at BEx tab page.
reCheck the master data also for that info object.
    Hope it helps

  • Loading master data compounded infoobject

    Hello experts
I want to load master data into an InfoObject from a flat file, thus i want to define this infoobject as an infoprovider
In order to do that i use the "Insert characteristic as InfoProvider" option from the InfoArea but i get a message :
InfoObject PA_PAPRCT is not a basis characteristic; not used as data target
This InfoObject has a superior InfoObject defined as superior InfoObject in the compounding tab, is that the problem ?
Thanks for your help and happy new year
    Thibault

    Dear Thibault
Yes, PA_PAPRCT is not the basic characteristic.
Instead of this, use the superior object for this object.
Than you can load the master data for all these objects.
Hope now you will get the idea

  • To display value for field without its compounded infoobject value

    Hi Gurus,
I've added a new Navigational attribute(say A) to my report which is compounded to another object(say B).
When i execute my report I am able to see the values of my new field as B/A.
My requirement is to just show A in the report.
    How can I achieve this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Akhil Singh

    Hi Shrikanth,
What Rajendra means is that, in the WAD template properties, you will find the property 'Standard Actions of the Web Template(WEB_TEMPLATE_ACTIONS)' .
    Check this: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/14/31fa826d0bd540899b02888bf55df4/content.htm
In this, you'll find 'Action Before Rendering'. Here, there is an option to set the command. Here, you need to assign the command 'SET_PRESENTATION'. In that, under 'List of Member Presentations (MEMBER_PRESENTATION_LIST)', select the characteristic for which compounding value is not to be displayed and then in 'List of Member Presentations (MEMBER_PRESENTATION_LIST)', select 'DISPLAY_KEY_NOT_COMPOUND'.
    Hope this helps you..!

  • Compounding infoobjects with reference

    Good morning, experts!
I have created infoobject B as a reference of infoobject A. Now I decided that both have to be system-dependent, I mean, both have to be compounded with source system ID.
When I try to do this, I reach a deadlock.
When I try to change infoobject A, I get a message that I can save but I can't activate the object because of the references. The same happens when I try to change infoobject B.
Right now I have the modified versions with the compounding, but I can't activate either.
Is there anything I can do to activate both infoobjects with the compounding? Or I'll have to delete all references and create them again?
    Thank you very much,
    Isabela.

What u can do is that u can delete the data if there is any from the Infoobject A using SE14.. for P table and then check assigning the compounding attribute to it.. I hope this shud go thru this time.
    and then activate the object.
    Thanks
Do let us know after this is carried out..!!

  • Authorisations on Compounded InfoObject

    Hi
I have created an authorisation relevant InfoObject "ZMAT_PORG".  Which is effectively Material compounded with Purchase Org.  This object is in an InfoCube.
In RSECADMIN I have created an Authorisation Object which includes the above InfoObject.  I have assigned this Auth Object to a role, which has in turn been assigned to a test user.
For testing purposes, I wanted to restrict this user to only see data for Purchase Org-Material combination 1000/999999.
I then try and maintain such a value by double clicking on ZMAT_PORG in the Auth Object and then press F4 to bring back a list of entries in the master data table to select from.  As expected, in that list there are two fields - Purchase Org and Material.  I therefore select the entry 1000/999999.
However, only 999999 is displayed in the "Technical Character (from)" field. Ie there is no visibility or indication that there is a P-Org part "1000" to the value.
And when this test user executes the report, the data restriction takes place for Material 999999, but also for ALL P-Orgs.  Ie I see data for 1000/999999 and 1001/999999 and 1002/999999 and etc, etc.
How do I restrict data to the whole P-Org-Material combination?
Note:  I can't have separate Auths on P-Org and Material because a user can potentially see Material A an P-Org 1000 and Material B in P-Org 1001.
So I do need the authorisations to happen on the compounded object.
I have thought about creating another InfoObject that concatenates P-Org and Material in to one, but I am thinking that there must be a way to do auths on a compounded object.
So where am I going wrong?
    Thanks
    Anton

  • Display compounded InfoObject value in BEX selection screen

    Hi people,
    Problem in 7.0
I have Costcenter compounded with Plant and I am using Costcenter for Selections in the BEx varaible screen.
After running the report, in the selection screen value help, only the value of Costcenter is displayed, not the compounded value (So it becomes very difficult to identify from which plant  the costcenter is from)
What should I do so that the User sees as Plant/Costcenter in the Value help?
    Problem in 3.5
The above issue is not there in 3.5, but.......
I select COSTCENTER X from PLANT A and execute the report. In the report output, I do not see the records only for COSTCENTER X from PLANT A, but for COSTCENTER X from all Plants
why is this? Is it how this works or is it a bug?
Please help. I appreciate your assistance very much.
    Thanks,

  • Filter Web Template with URL Cmd: doesn't work with compound infoobject ?

    Hello all,
I've to filter the query contained on a web template with URL command, but it doesn't work.
The web template contains only one query, and on the free chars I have 0PLANT.
I call the web template adding to the normal url the following command:
    &FILTER_IOBJNM=0PLANT&FILTER_VALUE=33
where 33 is the code of the plant I want to filter.
The command is executed, I think, because the  result is "NO APPLICABLE DATA FOUND". The fact is that when I execute this query on the Bex filtering 0PLANT by value 33 the data exists.
May be because 0PLANT on our system is in compound with 0SOURSYSTEM ? In this case, what's the value I can use as filter ?
    Thank's in advance,
    Max

    Hi,
    please see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/59/edfe395dd76846e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    especially:
If the variant with ending 'EXT' is selected, the fully compounded value has to be entered in the external format, for example, 24.12.2000.
If the ending 'EXT' is not used, the fully compounded value has to be entered in the internal format, for example, 20001224 for 24.12.2000.
    and
In the internal display (see table below) you can easily determine the name of the characteristic and the filter value using the URL parameter &snippet_operations=%20 (see also Object Tag for the Properties of Web Templates). Call the Web application with this URL parameter. If you filter using the context menu, the parameters FILTER_IOBJNM and FILTER_VALUE are automatically added to the URL in the Web browser. You can then use the desired values with Command URLs in hyperlinks.

  • Display of Compounded InfoObject in Business Objects Variable screen

    Hi,
The Cost Center is compounded with Controlling Area in BEX Query and there is filter on that.  After running the query, in the select options, it will display Cost Center in the possible values in the selections.
When this query is used in BO Universe, the Variable screen in Webi report is displaying the Cost Center concatenated with Controlling Area.  But in BEx Query, it displays only the Cost Center, not the Controlling Area.
Can it be possible to just see the Cost Center (with out Controlling Area) in Webi Reports ? Can some one have any input ?
    Thanks,
    Mohan

    Mohan,
The BW Olap Engine (as used directly by BEx) can distinguish a compound object, and 'strip-out' the
prefix information. However, when this compound info (such as 0FISCYEAR - which is a compound object made
up of: 0FISCVRNT/0FISCPER, in the format : K4/200912 ) ... comes to BO WEbI via MDXINTERFACE + ODA
Layer, this 'intelligent' display is not detected. This feature does not exist in SAP OLAP BAPI.
As Ingo said on reporting level we can use substring or replace kind formuals but for prompts we have to wait until SAP tweaks it in next SP.
    Thanks

  • IP File Upload  -  Error in compounded infoObject value

    Hi Experts,
I am getting below error when uploading the file in IP
Value 3010/0150 for characteristic Org structure is not valid
Org structure (CHORGSTR) is compounded with 0CO_AREA. I have maintained CHORGSTR = 3010 & 0CO_AREA = 0150. Ideally the function should take 0150/3010 which is the valid combination. But the function takes i n reverse as mentioned above and throwing error.
I have tried to input CHORGSTR as a field in the file.
When I give the value through variable (manual input) I am getting below error
System error in program CL_RSR_FIPT_VAL2SID_PREFETCH and form BEFORE_TRANSFORM-01- (see long text)
From this error it seems the function takes CHORGSTR value in the file and search in 0CO_AREA field of CHORGSTR.
Could anyone help me how to resolve this issue ?
    Thanks,
    Gopi R

  • Issue with Compounded infoobjects in BEx

    Hey Everyone,
I have a small issue when running a report in BEx.  I want to be able to run a report against different Profit Centers, and have all values on the same line.  But, in some cases, I have the same Profit Center on different lines, because the Controlling Area is different (compounded with Profit Center).
    Example:
    Profit Center           Site            Value
    1000-103                1000           $100
    1000-103                1000           $200
    I want to see:
    Profit Center           Site            Value
    1000-103                1000          $300
I have set Controlling Area to NO DISPLAY in the query properties, and it doesn't display it, but still puts the same Profit Center on two separate lines, because it's compounded and because it does actually have a different Controlling Area.
Is there anyway to not have the Controlling Area influence my result, and have the same Profit Center aggregated with the other, so they end up on the same line?
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi ,
    try this:
    steps:
    1. Remove the Profit center from your report .
    2. Drag it again in rows where u want the profit center be.
When u r draging the profit center to  rows "Controlling area" will also come along with it as that was compounded.
    3. Drag "Controlling area" info-object to "Filter section" of query designer.
    4. make the Display properties setting of "Profit Center " as "Standard text".
That will solve the problem .
    Thanks
