Regarding Controlling Analysis

I'm working on BI scenario Controlling Analysis.
Does it work the same way with each other?
A: customizing extractor and replicate datasources of the SAP ERP source system (RSA1, modeling--source systems).
B: RSA1--DataSources,  choose SAP R/3 --> AC ---> AC-IO and replicate metadata.
Another question:
create InfoPackage in RSA1modelingInfoSource, choose 0ACCOUNT and create infopackage, there is a message:
There are no hierarchies for this InfoSource in source system
what does it mean?
Thanks.

Hi Shen
If you see 0Cost Element and 0GL Account will have the hierarchies. Cost Element and GL Account carries its hierarchies from R/3 FICO Modules. However, 0Account is a combination of Cost Elements and GL Accounts. Hence, it does not have hierarchies.

  • Template doc regarding Gap analysis of SAP BI -MM

    Hi Gurus,
Can any one send a template doc regarding Gap analysis of SAP BI -MM

    HI,
    Gap Analysis:
In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world or in Information Technology world, gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information systems or applications( ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and where we want to be."
Gap Analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that space. Actual Gap Analysis is time consuming and it plays vital role in Business Blueprintstage.
A through Gap Analysis will identify the gaps between how the business operates and its needs against what the package can can't do. For each gap there will be one of three outcomes which must be recorded and actioned,
    1. GAP must be closed and customised software can be developed
    2. GAP must be closed but software cannot be written therefore a workaround is required
    3. GAP does not need to be closed.
A point worth mentioning here is that at time people confuse between user-exits and Gap Analysis. User exits are standard gate ways provided by SAP to exit the standard code and we can write our own code with the help of ABAP workbench, its not new functionality which we are trying to build in sap but its slight enhancement within the same code.
Gap analysis is start point of Realization and once business Blueprint is finished we have to find the realization of sap system for client requirment and there will be certain gaps when compared to system fit. Those gaps can be closed either by re-engineering of business process to fit with SAP or we have to use USER exits in case of small deviations or complete enhancements with the help of ABAP to fit with the SAP system.
The Gaps can differ from company to company. Most commonly, however, missing functionality is industry-specific.

  • Discussion regarding Risk Analysis Practice

    Dear all,
I would like to get from you all comments and opinions regarding the following approach as a previous step before performing risk analysis:
    - Is it right to define our own Rule Sets and include the different elements that define the client's SoD matrixes (risks/functions/transactions) we want to analyze using CC ?
    - Or should we map client SoD matrixes with the standard/predefined rules as much as possible and do the modifications required?
    Thanks in advance. Regards,
       Imanol

Project experience has shown that it is faster to start with the ruleset deliverd with GRC Access Control and modify it according to the specific implementation. That's the approach outlined in the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80c094de-90aa-2910-02b8-e31a6f5ff0c2">Access risk management guide</a>

  • Issue : Regarding Control Record

    Greetings Guru's,
We are going to be running our first payroll of the year in SAP at the end of this month. However the employees have been hired as of 01/03/2010. The payroll control record is in period 3 (01/03/2010 - 31/03/2010) and it is in correction mode.
What do I do with this record when we want to run the payroll for period 04/2010 ? Do I just delete the 03/2010 record (as there has been no payroll run at all) and then recreate it for 04/2010 with the earliest retro date set as 03/2010 ??
    Any help will be appreciated...

    Hi
If you want to run payroll for 01 - Apr - 2010 to 31 - Apr - 2010 the exit payroll for march 2010 if there is no employee left for payroll run and then Release payroll for April 2010. it will help you.
After this if any retro will perform for March 2010 and you don't want this then set Arely Per. Retro date  as 01 04 2010  in Infotype 0003 for the employee.

  • Question regarding tranisent analysis and piecewise linear voltage export data

    howdy,
My work with mulitism focuses on the analysis of equivalent circuits. I approach this through a transient analysis over a custom voltage input which I run through the PWL and export the data through excel for analysis, matching up the time of the transient analysis with the voltage through the circuit. Allowing me to observe the I-V performance.
The problem is the the exported data is usually an array of hundred of entries. That may or may not align with the discrete values of my custom voltage input and allow for direct analysis between real world data.
Is there a way to lock the time step (significantly reduce the number of interations) over the transient analysis to allow me to always export the same voltages. I.e only the voltages specified in my custom piecewise power source.
The reason I am interested in doing this is to generate data which directly matches up with the specified custom voltage input and that matches up with my real world experimental data and would not require me to pick through hundreds of iterations at varied voltages and cherry pick the points that compare to my real life measurements for analysis.
    many thanks.

SPICE simulations doesn't have a fixed delta time, if the signal is changing rapidly the SPICE engine will slow down and take more samples and if the signal is constant it will automatically speed and take fewer samples.  You cannot control the SPICE simulation sampling.  One suggestion is to export an .lvm file instead of an Excel file because Multisim will convert the data to have a constant delta t which may be better for you.  You can open the .lvm file with Notepad to view the format.

  • Urgent very urgent help regarding sales analysis and purchase analysis.

    Respective all experts,
when i see a sales analysis and purchase analisys for a particular month or year i see only amount before discount and tax and that is not a actual net amount that includes tax amount also i want the total gross amount with including tax amount and net amount in sales and purchase analysis. And how will i enter more fields in form settings menu of sales analysis and purchase analysis.
    Awaiting all expert advise,
    Regards
    saisakshi.

    Hi,
For system reports like sales analysis and purchase analysis, they are hardcoded. There is no room for you to add anything if you cannot find it from the report.
If you need to customize it, you need to create your own report.
    Thanks,

  • Regarding Control Step

    HI friends,
Can we send some user friendly messages using control step (throw alert ) mechanism.
E.g I have to process 1000 records then in the sending step of BPM if i have to insert some text message to Moni then can i use control step so that after every message is sent i get some message at the moni .
Is there any other better way to do it.
    Regards

If you have mapping in your scenario, it'd be simpler if you just inputed some trace into AbstractTrace object (using .addInfo(String message) method).

  • Regarding Control for Returns for Excisable Stock post 6 months

    Hello All,
If I am selling an excisable stock to my customer today and if the customer returns this stock after 6-7 months. Is there any way which I can control the same in the system. Please let me know if there any user exits to control the same.
    Regards
    Atul Keshav

Which control you require ??   Do you want system not to accept this returns ??  Please elaborate your requirement clearly.
If you want system to prevent creating return sale order for the sales made which was not less than 7 months, you have to try with user exit User exits in the program MV45AFZZ - USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT where you have to call VBRK table and check the field FKDAT

  • Regarding Controlling in PS

    Hi ,
I really want to know,in the project profile we have Controlling tab.Why do we have a separate Controlling tab if we have Controlling area in the Organization tab.
    Thanks and regards,
    Jomy

    Hi,
Organization tab consists of default values for organization assignment of the project. This means when you create a Project using a particular profile, the organisation data will get defaulted/copied from this tab. You need not re-enter this data in application mode for project objects like wbs.
Controlling tab consists of various profiles, keys which will govern/control the execution of project throught its life like cost planning will be done based on planning profile. Budgeting, Investment, Settlement have appropriate profiles where you define parameters related to that.
    Hope you are clear.

  • SAP Standard Regarding Control File

    Hi experts,
Can you guys please guide me regarding this
Changed the control file location 1 of the control file out of 3 to archive log files location.
Placing the control file to the archive log location is that a Sap Standard? If yes please Provide any SAP document suggesting above
    Regards
    Ricky

    Hi Ricky,
It is recommended that place the control files on different physical disks.
The reading/writing of the control files doesn't cause very much performance.
For example, if you already split the online redologs, archivelogs and datafiles in different physical disks, you can distribute the control files like this:
    control_files='/oracle/SID/origlogA/cntrl/cntrlSID.dbf','/oracle/SID/sapdata1/cntrl/cntrlSID.dbf','/oracle/SID/saparch/cntrl/cntrlSID.dbf'
It's just a example, you can use it as a reference.
If you want some document, goto service.sap.com/instguides and find the guide for your products, in section 'Preparation and planning', you can find the information about controlfiles distribution.

  • Regarding control breaks

    hello folks,
ON CHANGE OF event is for?

    Hi
    ON CHANGE OF
    Syntax
ON CHANGE OF dobj [OR dobj1 [OR dobj2] ... ].
      statement_block
    ENDON.
    Effect:
The statements ON CHANGE OF and ENDON, which are forbidden in classes, define a control structure that can contain a statement block statement_block. After ON CHANGE OF, any number of data objects dobj1, dobj2... of any data type can be added, linked by OR.
The first time a statement ON CHANGE OF is executed, the statement block is executed if at least one of the specified data objects is not initial. The statement block is executed for each additional execution of the same statement ON CHANGE OF, if the content of one of the specified data objects has been changed since the last time the statement ON CHANGE OF was executed.
For each time the statement ON CHANGE OF is executed, the content of all the specified data objects is saved as an auxiliary variable internally in the global system. The auxiliary variable is linked to this statement and cannot be accessed in the program. The auxiliary variables and their contents are retained longer than the lifetime of procedures. An auxiliary variable of this type can only be initialized if its statement ON CHANGE OF is executed while the associated data object is initial.
    Note:
This control structure, which is forbidden in classes, is particularly prone to errors and should be replaced by branches with explicitly declared auxiliary variables.
    Example:
In a SELECT loop, a statement block should only be executed if the content of the column CARRID has changed.
    DATA spfli_wa TYPE spfli.
    SELECT *
           FROM spfli
           INTO spfli_wa
           ORDER BY carrid.
      ON CHANGE OF spfli_wa-carrid.
      ENDON.
    ENDSELECT.
The following section of a program shows how the ON control structure can be replaced by an IF control structure with an explicit auxiliary variable carrid_buffer.
    DATA carrid_buffer TYPE spfli-carrid.
    CLEAR carrid_buffer.
    SELECT *
           FROM spfli
           INTO spfli_wa
           ORDER BY carrid.
      IF spfli_wa-carrid <> carrid_buffer.
        carrid_buffer = spfli_wa-carrid.
      ENDIF.
    ENDSELECT.

  • Regarding control recipe destination

    Dear all,
What is control recipe destination is it the end user or otherwise similarly for a person in shopfloor how does he view Pi sheet and how he will enter details of various parameters in it and how he will close the PI sheet.
What will happen in CO53 and what do we do in CO54 , please give in detail
    regards
    venkat

    Hi Venkat,
Control recipe destination is  the process control system or the line operator to whom the process instructions are transferred to be carried out. When processing the order, you can generate one control recipe with the process instructions for all phases, for each control recipe of a process order.
You then assign the control recipe destination to the phases of the master recipe, by maintaining the process control data in the process instruction overview. This section describes the assignment of a control recipe destination to a phase.

  • Need help configuring Oracle for admission control&analysis(diploma thesis)

    Hi, board team!
I encountered your site by searching for professional Oracle-Boards.
The threads I found on this site are all very helpful and very professional!
Sorry, for my bad english. I will try to explain everything in a very detailed way, so that you will hopefully know what i mean.
But let me explain what's my problem.
I am a student and now I am writing my diploma thesis (Analysis of Capacity mechanism in Oracle) and I have to set up an Oracle 10g Database. I managed to install Oracle using the Universal Installer. In my opinion it's a very helpful tool!
But I have difficulties configuring the Database.
The Database has to determine comparable results. I generate 3 different types of users. Each user has its own characterisations (IO and CPU consumption). The consumption for each user is always the same! (When a certain user connects to a databse the transactions/queries will be always the same).
To determine this Resource-Consumption I programmed an infinite loop (written in PL/SQL) -> infinite and equal queries.
Unfortunately the results are not comparable. The longer the loop is running the more different the results are. The results are not significant.
I think this is because of the Redo-Log-Buffers, which grow with every Transaction. (I'm sorry for wrong estimates, but I'm just a newbie with Oracle and database-systems).
After that I tried to shut down the databse after EACH measurement and finally restart the database. Now the results were all about the same.
Are there any solutions to make it more efficient?
    What would you do?
After the measurements, I will write them into a Table (for each user: IO- and CPU-Consumption).
If one of the three users connects to the databse again, there will be an analysis algorithm, which queries this table and collects the measured values and the actual system-utilization (V_$-table). Therefore i will write a small program in PL/SQL. The analysis-Function is a "Black-box". I just use the functionality and submit User-consumptions and system-utilization. The function returns a value (0 or 1; 0=deny, 1=allow).
I thought to implement my small-program with the Trigger-functionality or VPD. The PL/SQL-procedure will be called after a user logged on to the database. The significant values will be queried and submitted to the "black-box" (programmed in java). The submission to this "black-box" should by implemented with Java RMI or Java Beans.
    Are there any better possibilities?
    Thanks for your support!
Now i will install Windows 2003 Server and Oracle 10g r2
