Regarding Default warehouse

Dear all,
I have to set a default warehouse for the sales flow for a particular user only..How to set that.......I tried setting that in the document setting and the user defaults...But it s takin t automatically as the warehouse set at the General settings.
According to my scenario i cannot set the warehouse for the individual items.So kindly suggest me a way for this.....

In SAP Business One, the user can set 3 priorities for determining the
default warehouse in documents:
The 3 locations in which the default warehouse can be set are:
1. Administration => General Settings => Items tab page
2. Administration => Definitions => General => Define Users => Defaults => Defaults tab page
3. Inventory => Item Master Data => Inventory Data tab page
The warehouse will appear automatically in documents according to the
following priorities:
1. If an item is defined with a default warehouse in its Item Master Data, this warehouse will be displayed
automatically in sales and purchasing documents.
2. If an item is not defined with a default warehouse in its Item Master Data, SAP Business One will
check if a default warehouse is defined in the Define Users window in the Defaults window (of the user who is currently logged in).
3. If no default warehouse is defined in the User Defaults window, SAP Business One will use the default
warehouse defined in the General Settings window, under the Items tab page.

Hi Experts,
In my recent Implementation Project I realised that there should be provision of capturing and using different default warehouse for Sales,Purchase and Production.
For example in manufacturing company
1. Default ware house for Purchase process should be QC ware house for raw material.
2. Default ware house for Production process should be RM ware house for raw material (components).
3. Default ware house for Production process should be QC ware house for Finished Good (Parent Item).
4. Default ware house for Sales process should be FG ware house for Finished Good (Parent Item).
I hope the idea is clear, I am looking for 3 different set as default warehouse for each item in Item master Inventory tab.
Internally when a user create a document than default warehouse is to be picked up from this setting !

I guess the indicator "Exclusive" in the accessess of the access sequence can meet the requirement if I have note misunderstood the issue.
Press : F1 help on Exclusive Indicator -
Indicator: Exclusive condition access
Controls whether the system stops searching for a record after the first successful access for a condition type within an access sequence.

SAP remove the default values when modify the default warehouse at SO lines

Hi All,
Whenever I change the default warehouse field at SO lines, all the default dimension values will be removed.
Is this normal for SAP operation?
Any setting to prevent it to remove all default values?

Cancel default warehouse for item

Dear All,
We would like to cancel a default warehouse for items. We don't need any default warehouse at all. Is there any way we can do that? I know if we setup another default warehouse, the old one will no longer be the default warehouse. But the problem is, we don't need any default warehouse at all. Thanks.

Default Warehouse Qty Question

We have a Crystal Report 2008 report that is used for daily, monthly and yearly total items sold and total items returned and any date range that is pulled the last column "In Stock" needs to give current inventory qty in the default warehouse.
Currently we get correct output only on the warehouse we define on ({OITW.WhsCode} in "123"). The warehouse "123" defined and {OITM.OnHand} - {OITW.OnHand} subtracts the defined Warehouse from the onhand qty if I understand this correct... Issue with this is if there is one item with qty in the "123" warehouse and another item with qty in the "return" warehouse it will only give me the correct qty based on the warehouse that is defined; the other qty output will be the default warehouse plus the other warehouse qty which is incorrect.
Question is: how do we get the current qty in the default warehouse only. There are four warehouses total... Is there a formula that we could create that would give us the correct output based on the default warehouse? Any advice or help would be appreciated!

Default Warehouse on a Sales Order

Is it possible to default a warehouse depending on the BP selected on a Sales Order? I know you can default warehoue depending on the User.

Hi,
There is no built-in function by system like user default. You may use FMS for the goal. A UDT is needed to define BP default warehouse.
Try:
SELECT T0.U_WHS FROM dbo.@BPWHS T0 WHERE T0.CardCode=$[$4.0.0\]
In this example, @BPWHS is the UDT to define default warehouse for each BP by U_WHS field.

How to create a BOM without default warehouse on 8.82

Hi Expert,
I have several item will make on 2 warehouse at same day for ship to different area. original I created to 2 different item code and 2 BOM for those 2 warehouse.
on forecast, I set those 2 item code , after MRP running, 8.8 will let me know those 2 warehouse recommendation on PO & WO.
on 8.82, MRP can set to run on different warehouse. so I set all item "default warehouse" to none. then run MRP for second warehouse with 1st warehouse itemcode. but I got a message show " Production Orders and inventory transfer request were not recommended for 6 parent items due to components that are required from 2 warehouse demand has not been included in this MRP run ( for example, item **** in warehouse WA )."

Default warehouse for sales representative

We have webtools & several licenses to use for our representatives in the field. We would like to have them place orders for us, but assign a specific warehouse to keep up with their inventory that they have on hand. How do I assign those sales representatives to a particular warehouse so that when orders placed by them on their customers will show product leaving their warehouse?

Setting default warehouse by territory

Hi, hopefully someone can assist with this problem I currently have.
Depending on the territory, our product is shipped from a different warehouse. Each of our customers has an assigned territory - Is it possible to allocate a default warehouse based on the territory?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Standard B1 system warehouse is based on location.
Create a user defined field in warehouse,Create a list of values for territory in UDF,
For example East,West,North,South,North West etc.,
Note :
Create UDF in Tools --> User Defined Fields ---> Manage User Fields --> Masters --> Warehouse

Default warehouse while consignment fill-up

Hi all
I have a basic query here.
When one carries out a 'consignment fill-up' ,e.g. document type 'KB' , then it picks up a warehouse per default,[ even before Transfer order comes into the scenario ] what factor or parameter tells it to pick this specific warehouse up and not any other warehouse. ? I wanted to know what supplies the sales document type with warehouse information ,even before it gets saved.
(shipping condition of customer master ?)

In the customer Master, you can specify "Delivery Site".
Delivery Site is assigned to Warehouse.
If the end-user has entered the article, qty and delivery Site at line item item.
mySAP would the look at Delivery Site at line item first then check the assignmed warehouse.
You assign Warehouse to Site under Enterprise Structure.

To Default Warehouse In Sales Order Based On GOP Results

The Business requirements are
During the import or manual entry of sales order,based on customer ship to address the warehouse field in the sales order should default from gop results.
Gop can show you the availability from the ATP inquiry form attached to sales order.But how to default or populate the warehouse field automatically.
No standard functionality is there.Enhancement request has been raised.Can anybody suggest any workaroounds.

Take out the defaulting rules for Sales Order Line and the regular gop setups,the during scheduling it calls for the assignment set specified.and the warehouse field is populated.

How to setup the default warehouse in Sales Order Lines

I have 3 organizations in one OU like A, B, C.
and I created a new sales order type for A, the shipping from warehouse is also setup C, but when I create SO, in order lines, the default warehose is A, how to change to C?

You can write a simple pl/sql logic to get the correct org id. I am assuming that you have two responsibilities in the same operating unit and one should default with A and one should default with C. Both use the same order type.
When the resp that is responsible for org A, will have org A from order type.
For resp that is responsible for org C, you can create a pl/sql logic where you read the current responsibility using fnd_profile.value('RESP_ID'). If the resp_id is responsible for C then return organization_id of C.
You can find example code for order line entity for attribute tax code.

Regarding default select clauses executing during OWB Mapping execution -

All-
While observing the statements executing during an OWB(11gR2) Mapping execution,by monitoring the session using SQL Developer
Iam finding the following statements executing multiple times and possibly consuming more of the mapping execution time:-

These statements have no relation to be business logic being implemented.And seem to be generated by OWB default settings.
Can anyone please let me know how to reduce the frequencey of the above mentioned statements or if possible remove them from the OWB mapping execution.

these statement are required to set the runtime audit data. Usually, they do not really impact the performance of a mapping so there is not need to bother about them.
What causes performance problems is usually the business logic part of the mappings.
You may purge old runtime metadata manually. Look at the script
%ORACLE_HOME%\owb\rtp\jrtaudit\owbsys\purge_audit_tables.sqlDocumentation is included.

Default warehouse not setting to only defined warehouse

When you do not auto add new warehouses to all items and have strict warehouse controls on the items. if only one warehouse is defined on an item it is not automatically the default on documents instead it is warehouse 01 even if 01 has been deleted.
If the first warehouse added to an item could be the auto default on documents that would be great.

IIRC, it works the same in Leopard and SL. Once you set the options to defaults, it only applies to the current window and any new ones you open for the first time. Any previously opened windows retain their previous settings. The only global way to reset everything to zero is to blow away the hidden .DS_Store files associated with every folder that's been opened. That's left as an exercise.
