Regarding digital Signatures

Hi Friends,
In SAP HR( Recrutment ), i have generated an offer letter in smartform, based on the approving manager his digital signature should be printed, how to get the desired result?
is there any other settings we should do.

Regarding Digital Signatures and Seed Values

Hi
First let me explain my scenario i had done so far and then i will explain the problem i am facing.
Scenario
I had created an intercative form with 4 Text Fields along with two signature fields(So that the form has to be signed by two persons let it be User1, User2).
The first two text fields (TextField_1 and TextField_2) will be filled by the User_1 and then User_1 will sign in the First Signature field.
The next two text fields (TextField_3 and TextField_4) will be filled by the User_2 and then User_2 will sign in the Second Signature field.
This is my scenario so far i had done.
Problem i am Facing
The User_1 will fills the value and sign the form and later when the user_2 fills the data and signs the form, the first signature is showing an question mark and exclamatory mark indicating that form had undergone some changes.
Solution type needed
I want a solution in such a way that whenever the user_2 signs the form the status of the signature field_1 should not be changed any more.
According to my frequent search i got some information using of Seed Values will be use full...
Plz suggest how to achive this and also the usage of seed values for the digital signatures,

I have put the released strategy at the last stage of status network, yellow warning is coming saying that "you must make digital signature for this status".When i press twice
error message comes "Current digital signature process has been terminated"
Please helps where i am wrong

When user enters the signature how can i get that digital signature in webdynpro application .In which format it will be returned .

Digital Signatures in Adobe 8 Professional

I have 2 questions regarding digital signatures in Adobe Acrobat Professional
1.) Is it possible to digitally sign a document multiple times without having to resave the document each time you sign? This would be really helpful in dealing with contracts in adobe where multiple signatures are required.
2.) If you email a pdf with digital signatures is it possible for the recipient to delete these signatures? Or to not be able to view them?

Regarding #1, the short answer is no. Every time the file is digitally signed it necessitates it being saved. That's what allow "View Signed Version" and signature roll back to work.
As for # 2, it depends on the version of Acrobat. Versions 6 and 7 allowed anyone to remove a signature as long as it wasn't a certifying signature. In the case of the certifying signature on the signer could remove. Beginning with version 8 you can only clear if you have access to the digital ID that was used to create the signature.

Invalid Digital Signature in Adobe Rader 9.0

Hi there,
Need help regarding Digital Signature on PDF doc.
I have a pdf file with 2 different digital signature.
If i'll try to open pdf file in Adobe reader 8 both signs are showing as valid signature with green mark.
but if i'll open pdf in Adobe reader 9 first sign is showing as invalid signature with red cross.
Can you someone pls help and let know the resolution for this error.

I am talking about same file but with 2 different signatures.
(on different location of the page, one is on left side of page and another on right side of the page)
If you can share you email so i can send you the file or let know , how i can attach the .pdf here. (i can attach picture file, html file, video etc. but can't attach .pdf)

Issue in Digital Signature Logs in DSAL Transaction

Hello,
Please help me resolve one of my issue regarding digital signatures in sap.
As per my company requirement we want that logs should be generated in DSAL Transaction in SAP.
We are using SIGN_SIGNATURE_CREATE bapi for creating the digital signature of the user.
Now when this bapi runs and returns the digital signature successfully then also we are not getting any
success logs in DSAL transaction.
So please let me know what are the necessary configurations required so that we get logs in DSAL transaction
weather digital signatures successfully generate or if some exception occured.
Please reply ASAP.

Are you sure the Digital Signature Log isn't updated? Make sure you select the correct Application and Signature Object in the selection screen of DSAL. At least interface IF_DS_RUNTIME updates the log, even for non-standard strategies/applications/objects.
Update: I checked the function module SIGN_SIGNATURE_CREATE which isn't a BAPI and it's not even released. It appears to be a low level API, I suggest you look into using IF_DS_RUNTIME instead.

Digital signature hiding!

Hello Guys,
I have a question to ask you regarding digital signature. In my workflow, there will 3 or more than people has to digital sign in one PDF. And when we see all the signatures in the document, it looks like document is filled with signature. So I would like to ask if it is possible to keep the digital signature hide?
If possible, please let me know, how it is possible...

I think i understood what you mean. But i have a question that why do we need do 'Clear the signature from the signature Navigation panel'.
Why can't we able to insert invisible signature once we done with first one? (without doing clear the signature)
The reason to ask this question is that we have no idea how many people may check one file. some times may be 1 person or some times may be 3 or more. So in this case it is better to have a direct option for multi invisible signatures.
So is there any way to do this?

Hi Aasma,
The standard BI Publisher is part of EBS applications.
Most of the EBS reports(R12) are based on BI Publisher.
If you check the responsibility 'XML Publisher Administrator' you will see all the templates used in the application.
Your technical team should already know this.
On the other hand OBIEE would need separate licences.
But for you BI Publisher would do.

Regarding Adobe Digital Signature

I am using Digital Signature in my application.
I have two signature field in my form.
SignatureField1 will be signed by the First person and then he/she will send that form to the Second person to be signed in the SignatureField2.
The Second Person will open the form and how can he/she validate that signature in the SignatureField1 is signed by First Person Only.
Is there a way of providing Public key of First person to the Second Person for validating the Signature of the First Person.

Digital Signature in XML Report

Hi Friends,
In Oracle EBS R12, I have a custom XML report developed and running fine.
There is a requirement to add the feature of Digital Signature in the output of this report. Please help me with the detailed steps to achieve this.
PS: I have tried a few links from Google and Article notes from oracle support. But, no success.
If anyone has implemented this successfully, some hints would be of great help.
The XML report is form-16 of employees.

Second digital signature invalidates the first one

Hello to all,
I'm having some troubles adding a second digital signature to an already digitally signed PDF. The library that I'm using in order to handle the PDFs is an open source one, so I'm programmatically editing the PDFs. The first PDF I produce, PDF1 (the PDF with one signature), has a valid digital signature. The second PDF I produce, PDF2 (the PDF with the two signatures), has the second signature marked as valid, but the first one as invalid with the following error:
Error during signature verification.
Unexpected byte range values defining scope of signed data.
Details: The signature byte range is invalid
I've read and applied all the "best practices" on PDF digital signature, so I'm adding the second signature in incremental mode and I'm sure that the second PDF has no changes in the first part, this because if I make a binary comparison of PDF1 and PDF2, the first part of the PDF2 equals PDF1. So if you remove the incremental part from PDF2 (after the first %%EOF), you obtain PDF1 again with the valid digital signature. So the problem seems to be in something new in the incremental part of PDF2 that makes Acrobat Reader X thinks that the first digital signature is invalid.

I'm not sure if this helps, but I found something unusual with your PDF2. Just at the beginning of the second incremental update (with the new signature), the first object is added without a carriage return. This make the last line of the previous update looks like this:
%%EOF3 0 obj
May this leads to incorrect parsing and then invalidates the signature? Not sure about that, but as far as I can read offsets, your byte ranges are correct.
