Regarding Displaying of outbound Idocs in XML format

Hi every1
i want to display my IDocs in XML format. I am using T.Code WE34, after that.... what i have to do. Please let me know whole procedure, because in SAP Library I am getting information about only Inbound; and i want to know about outbound Idoc. please reply me its urgent.

Follow the procedure
IDOC to XML Convertion using ALE Interface
1) Send an outbound IDOC data(MATMAS) to a flat file(XML) on client1(SENDER).
Create File Port (WE21) of XML Type for outbound file.
Specify the Physical directory and file under the Outbound File tab
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for sender ->receiver system.
Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
You can use this program RBDSEMAT (t/code BD10) to generate IDoc MATMAS file(s).
_ Then you can FTP the file(s) to receiver system.
2) Upload the flat file as an IDOC on the inbound sytem
which is Client2(RECIEVER).
Create File Port (WE21) for inbound file.
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for receiver -> sender system.
Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
You can use this program RSEINB00 to upload IDoc MATMAS file(s).

press Enter & Save
it will ask Request
if you want new request create new Request orpress continue for transfering the objects
B) goto Tcode SALE
Select Assign Client to Logical Systems-->Execute
000--> Double click on this
Give the following Information
-Client : ERP 000
-City :
-Logical System
-Currency
-Client role
Save this Data
Step 2) For RFC Creation
Goto Tcode SM59-->Select R/3 Connects
Click on Create Button
RFC Destination Name should be same as partner's logical system name and case sensitive
to create the ports automatically while generating the partner profiles
give the information for required fields

Connection type: 3
Description

save this & Test it & RemortLogin
STEP 3) Goto Tcode BD64 -- click on Change mode button
click on create moduleview

save this & Press ok
select your just created modelview Name :'MODEL_ALV'.
goto add message type
Model Name : MODEL_ALV
sender : ERP000
Receiver : ERP800

save & Press Enter
STEP 4) Goto Tcode BD82
Give Model View : MODEL_ALV
Partner system : ERP800
execute this by press F8 Button
it will gives you sending system port No :A000000015(Like)
STEP 5) Goto Tcode BD64
select the modelview
goto >edit>modelview-->distribute
press ok & Press enter
STEP 6) goto Tcode : BD10 for Material sending
Material : mat_001
Message Type : MATMAS
Logical System : ERP800
and Execute
STEP 7)goto Tcode : BD11 for Material Receiving
Material : 100-300
Message Type : MATMAS
and Execute --> 1 request idoc created for message type Matmas
press enter
Here Master Idoc set for Messge type MATMAS-->press Enter
1 Communication Idoc generated for Message Type
Now go to the physical directory and check your idoc converted as an XML File.

    I want to be able to get the same output result into a string than the XML file IDoc port type with DTD activated.  I have created a FM (based on SAP "OWN_FUNCTION") assigned to an IDoc port of type ABAP-PI that executes the following processing steps:
    1-Extract outbound IDoc information to get the sender & recipient mail addresses (EDP13 / EDIPHONE tables).
    2-Convert & Transform IDoc data into XML string using FM IDX_IDOC_TO_XML.
    3-Prepare and send e-mail with XML attachement using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
    I cand generate the e-mail with the XML file attachement but FM IDX_IDOC_TO_XML does not convert the IDoc with proper formating and DTD.
    What should I use to accomplish the IDoc conversion to XML w/DTD into a string?
    Should I use XSLT tools ?
    How does that work?

    If you want to pick the IDOC in an XML format, you can do that from WE60 transaction. Here a XML of the IDOC MATMAS05 that I could generate out WE60 transaction. If the XML format is required at design time to pass on the middleware consultant, how can I use the function module.

  • Standard funtion module to fetch IDOC in xml format

    Hi Experts
    I am not from ABAP background, am working in SAP PI. I have a queay regarding standard function modules in ABAP.
    I am wrote a java code to fetch IDOC by making a call to the ABAP standard functions. (passing an idoc number and fetching the idoc)
    The IDOC that i am receiving is in Flat format, but I want to fetch the IDOC in XML format.
    Is there any Standard fucntion module to fetch the IDOC in xml format?

  • IDOC  to XML format

    Hi all,
    i have created one program where if u will press the push button, it will create one idoc by taking some fields from my program.
    i need to send this idoc to one directory in sap application server as a XML file.
    here, while creating partner profile,
    when sender = xlg100 ( this logical system is w.r.t client 100)
             receiver = mes   ( this logical system is w.r .t destination directory)
      message type = zloipro01
    but while sender = mes
                 receiver = xlg100,
    what message type i should  give here?
    can anyone give me any real time documents for idoc to send as xml format?
    or anyone can explain step by step procedure for this process?

    Hello everyone
    can anyone let me kno all the procedure to make our idoc outbound and convert it into XML file,  is there any standard program or any other method if i am using we21 then what thing i have to do. is it neccesary for us to go to tc we60 and change schema of our structure or not, i don't want to use XI, please tell me whole procedure if possible, waiting for your reply.

    Step 1 – Analyse Hierarchy Levels:
    Analyse the data relationships being processed in the interface. Define the appropriate hierarchical Parent-to-Child relationships.
    Navigate to transaction code WEDI
    Transaction WEDI displays the IDOC main menu. This allows navigation around the various development and control areas to create a customised IDOC.
    Step 2 – Create a new segment:
    via wedi : Development - IDOC Segments or Transaction code WE31.
    • Enter segment name and click on Create.
    ? The name of the segment type must start with Z1 , and have a maximum of eight characters.
    • Enter description and enter the relevant field names and data elements.
    ? The segment should represent a structure in the program so for each field in the segment a field name and a data element must be defined.
    • Save the segment and enter Person Responsible and Processing Person .
    • Go to Edit and Set Release.
    • Repeat this procedure for each new Segment in the IDOC.
    Step 3 – Create a new IDOC Type
    via wedi Development - IDOC Types or Transaction WE30.
    • Enter segment name (starting with Z), click on Basic Type and then Create.
    • Create as new, enter Person Responsible and Processing Person and enter description.
    • On ‘Create Basic Type’ screen decide where segments should be inserted and go to Edit/Create Segment.
    • Complete relevant fields in the Maintain Attributes screen:
    • From the relevant segments created in Step 2 enter the Segment type and if mandatory segment.
    • The Minimum and Maximum number of segments to be allowed in the sequence. (One minimum and one maximum if segment is mandatory).
    • The Parent Segment and Hierarchy Level will be automatically created depending on where in the IDOC tree you decided to create that particular segment.
    • Repeat this process for each segment needed in the IDOC type, deciding whether to add the next segments at the same level or as a ‘Child’.
    • When IDOC created return to initial screen. Go to Edit and Set Release.
    • Go to Transaction WE60 to view the IDoc Type you have created.
    Step 4 – Create new Message Type
    via wedi Development - Message Types or Transaction WE81.
    • Display/Change and click on New Entries
    • Create a new Message Type and Save.
    Step 5 – Link Message Type to IDOC Type
    via wedi Development - IDOC Type/Message or Transaction WE82.
    • Display/Change and then click on New Entries.
    • Enter Message Type, Basic Type (IDOC Type) and Release (46C) and Save.
    Step 6 – Create an entry in EDP13 via transactions WE20 and BD64.
    The partner profile for the Idoc must be set up and generated in the transaction BD64 and transaction WE20.
    • WE20 – Add Message Type to appropriate Partner Type, Enter Message Type, Receiver Port and Idoc Type and Save.
    • BD64 – Create a Model View, Enter Sender and Receiver Ports, Attach Message Type. Go to ‘Environment’ on Menu and click on Generate Partner Profiles and generate (not save) profile.
    Step 7 – Populate the custom IDOC via ABAP Program
    See Test Program ZOUTBD_IDOC_TEMPLATE, Appendix IV.
    • Create an Internal Table for each segment type, this should be exactly the same structure as the segment type.
    • The control record is filled into a structure like EDIDC. The message type and the Idoc type for the Idoc must be populated into the eddic structure.
    - PERFORM populate_Control_structure USING c_mestyp
    c_SEGMENT_type1.
    • The data segments are filled into a structure like edidd-sdata; sdata and the segment name are populated into the edidd structure.
    - PERFORM transfer_Parent_data_to_seg.
    • The standard SAP function module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE is called to pass the populated IDOC to the ALE Layer.
    - PERFORM master_idoc_distribute.
    • NOTE: This function module is only called for stand alone programs and Shared Master Data programs (SMD). It is not called when using extensions or output determination.
    • The ALE Layer handles the sending of the IDOC to the receiving system.
    • Error Handling (see Step 7b).
    • Commit work.
    Project Specific
    Step 7b – Error Handling• Analyse which fields in the interface are mandatory for the receiving system and who needs to receive error notification.
    • Declare a structure of type ‘MCMAILOBJ’ for sending instructions.
    • Enter values for the internal table based on structure ‘MCMAILOBJ’
    • For selection processes, on SY-SUBRC checks and where fields are mandatory for the receiving system; insert Function Module ‘MC_SEND_MAIL’.
    • Enter values in the following parameters: -
    MS_MAIL_SENDMODE = ‘B’ (Batch Mode)
    MS_MAIL_TITLE = 'Mail Title'
    MS_MAIL_DESCRIPTION = ‘Error description’ (e.g. MATNR not given)
    MS_MAIL_RECEIVER = ‘Name of Receiver’ (To be determined)
    MS_MAIL_EXPRESS = ‘E’ (Express Delivery)
    MS_MAIL_DLINAME = Leave Blank
    MS_MAIL_LANGU = 'E' (Language)
    MS_MAIL_FUNKOBJ_NAME = Leave Blank

    Note:
    It has to be determined separately for each interface how these errors and mail notifications are to be grouped – dependant upon the number of errors that are potentially likely. One possible approach is to send an email for each reason for rejection and include all the records that failed for that reason in the mail notification. Another possible approach is to send an email for every failure.
    When error checking for mandatory fields it is common SAP practice to reject a record on its first failure (irrespective of subsequent errors in that record)
    Step 7c – Send status mail
    • Append to table I_MCMAILOBJ details of the time the interface was processed, how many Idocs were created and how many of these produced a status of 03.
    • Select the user to receive the mail from ZINT_RECEIVER, using the name of the program as a key (SY-CPROG).
    • Use function Module ‘MC_SEND_MAIL’ to send a mail to the user containing the contents of I_MCMAILOBJ at the end of the interface processing.
    Step 8 – Test the population of the custom IDOC
    via wedi IDoc - Display IDoc or Transaction WE02.
    • Enter your message type and execute.
    • Status should be green, double click on one of the Idocs you have created to view its contents.
    • If a problem has occurred click on Status which will give you a description of the error.
    • Drop down Data Records arrow and this should list the data in the IDoc in the correct hierarchical structure.
    • Click on each individual segment and view the content to check that the correct data has been read.
    • If you have UNIX access by using AL11 you can view the file that you have created.
    Note:
    For some interfaces it may be valid to send an empty file to SAP. This empty file is converted to the custom IDOC format expected by SAP. This custom IDOC will contain dummy information. In the inbound processing code, if the dummy information is identified then the processing of the IDOC is considered to be complete and the IDOC should then be assigned a successfully processed status of 53, even though it has not been processed at all.

  • Receive idocs from SAP in XML format

    Hi everyone.
    Currently, to receive idocs, what we're doing is, we create an external RFC server, and listen to invocations of the RFC IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS and IDOC_PROCESS_INBOUND. However, this leads us to receive idocs in EDI_DD/EDI_DD40 and EDI_DC/EDI_DC40 formats.
    Is it possible to receive idocs in XML format via the RFC Server interface?

  • IDOC to XML

    Hi All,
    In partner profile, i have set XML port for outbound IDOC. IDOC in XML format is generated successfully on App. server.
    when I view this file using AL11 I see its shows only the control records not the data records.
    I also see one xml tag <SERIAL>20110831085519</SERIAL>. 
    Is this id contains the data ?
    How to view contents of this Id ?

    Hi Michael,
    i suppose you r using a message mapping?
    And u have a problem if the source field is empty?
    Use function "exist" to ask if field exist and may be ask for the string lenght > 0. Only in that case (function if) map the field. Or use a XSLT mapping.

  • Converting IDOC to XML

    Hi,
    I have an application where i have to convert an IDOC to XML format so that it can be handled by webmethods.
    I want to know how to convert IDOC to XML. I have seen that in SAP there are two port types, XML and XML HTTP. Are they used for posting an IDOC in XML format at defined port.
    When i tried to generated a test IDOC with port type as XML, it has created an xxx.XML file in application server but i an unable to display it.
    1). Can any one pls. tell me how to convert IDOC to
    XML??? What are the different methods ( if available)
    2). DO i need to have any extra component for this??
    3). what are XML and XML http ports are for.
    Pls. help me as this is very urgent.

    Hi,
    Does xxx.XML contain no data? Or you are just not able to display it (try opening it in notepad).
    1 - You are doing it right. Using XML port should be enough.
    2 - You don't need anything additional.
    3 - XML port gives you an option like a file port (you get the idoc in an XML file) for batch type interface. XML http will let you post the XML data realtime to an web server that accepts XML messages.
    If your partner system can take http messages, you can use http port to send the IDOC directly to that system, else you can create the XML file and send it in batch mode.

  • Convert Idoc into xml string

    Hi,
    We have Idoc to web service scenario. The real problem, web service has only one field named "STRING"
    I need to pass Idoc into xml format as shown below to this STRING.
    e.g.
    <ZQM_NOTIFICATION><QMNUM>000000006471</QMNUM><QMART>Z2</QMART><MATNR>000000000007515116</MATNR><MATKTX>0.89 BRONZE R2400 HT - BS900 -PNEUM</MATKTX><MAWERK>HL</MAWERK>.......</ZQM_NOTIFICATION>
    How can I achive this via mapping?

    Good question my friend,
    Follow below process:
    - Input t-code IDOC
    - In selection screen, select 'Analyse IDOC field values
    - Press F8
    - Input your IDOC number
    - Check mark on 'Also evaluate empty fields
    - Click on 'Output in internal form' : this is very much important thing
    - The execute
    - You will see all the data
    - Then go to 'List'>Save/send option from where you can achieve your purpose.

    I got IDocs from vendor in ASCII Format, like that:

    My Question: whehter there is an adpater or a function in XI7.0 that can input such IDoc in ASCII Format without ContentConversion?
    Otherwise, I must ask vendor to provide me IDoc in XML Format.
    Any hints would be appreciated!

    thank you for your suggestion!
    Just now, I called the customer. They used seeburger adapter before. Now they can use Seeburger Adapter to read IDoc ASCII Format.
    But they want to discard seeburger in the future. Therefore it is not neccessary to integrate Seeburg adapter into XI.
    Have you heard anything about fileport in SAP?
    Can I just transfer flatfile to SAP internal folder and SAP picks files and convert them into IDoc-Schema automatically?

    I need to send a payment file to file bank in MT100 XML format and in return i will get a confirmation message from the bank in the XML format. Can any one pls tell me how to configure this using Idoc's.
    I am new to Idoc's and have no idea in configuring the Idoc. Are are any standard Idoc for this and how to develop and configure this.

    Hi Raju,
    Hearty Welcome to SCN.
    My suggestion is first make sure you understand the concept of interfaces completely and then you start working otherwise there might be lot of issues. And you are saying new to IDOCs do follow my suggestion.

                      I am new to idocs, please anybody can help
    regarding to create outbound idocs when i run F110 program.
    when  i run F110 with parametrs company code and payment method, automatically it will create idoc and send it to partner system.
    i think i have to use pexr2002 and message type payext.

    Follow the steps:
    1) Do relevant Settings for payment program ( FBZP).
    2) Example: For the house bank you have to set the EDI partner profile no. and the EDI partner profile and EDI compatible payments methods.you have to attach the payment methods to the house bank EDI profile. And check generate
    EDI immediately in we20.
    3) Create the partner profile for bank with message type " PAYEXT", partner
    type " B". AND THE IDOC BASIC TYPE AS " pexr2002".
    4) when you run the payment, the IDOC will be generated.
