SIR I PURCHASED A NOKIA ASHA 310 MODEL , I WANT TO USE ONE SIM FOR ALL PURPOSE I.E FOR OUTGOING , INCOMING ,MMS , SMS AND GPRS, EDGE AND ANOTHER SIM ONLY FOR INCOMING SMS . I WANT TO PERFORM THIS ACTIONS BY USING SETTINGS IN PHONE. IS IT POSSIBLE OR NOT . PLEASE ANSWER ME AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE

as your device is a dual-SIM device, i would presume that yes you can do that. basically for the first SIM, make sure that your MMS is activated and so is your data connection, and for the second one (with a different network carrier), that your MMS / data plan is deactivated.

just bought a nokia asha 310 and must say not really impressed with it and need lot of help.

In the Nokia Store, is Nokia Transfer offered for your model? I do not think it works with the Nokia 310. One solution would be to buy Microsoft Outlook for your computer, sync that with SkyDrive to grab the Lumia content. And then with the Nokia Suite to forward it to your Nokia 310.

Nokia Asha 310 software update and improvements

Can you add these features if you build the new software update for nokia asha 310 ?
1. Add Nokia Internet Radio.
2. Add Inbox view features for messages
3. Select , copy, paste , text in browser, applications, message like other s40 phones.
4. Support to swf file. Phone has flash lite but not support the swf file .
5. Video player interface is not good please place the video controls in bottom.
6. Password protection option in message , contacts, gallary.
7. Add feature phone shows all notification into the notification bar.
8.Sound on off option in camera.

I had the same problem when I had to select one (key) option from several from an pre recorded menu of options. The keypad would lock up in a few seconds and I had to quickly press the lock button on the side of the phone to unlock the keypad, by that time I had lost track of what the automated message was saying - very frustrating and not user friendly at all. There should be something that Nokia can do to deactivate this auto keypad lock feature. Thanks.

Nokia Asha 310 Screen Problem

Hello and good day!
I recently purchased (about 2 weeks ago) a Nokia Asha 310 White and observed that when i turn the screen in landscape mode during web navigation or typing in QWERTY mode the left side seems to fade to black very little, especially when the background is white. Just the left side fades a little bit to black.
Are all these screen the same or is it just mine?
If you need a photo to understand the problem, i will try to make one.

While not being sure about the warranty policies, if your screen is not broken/cracked, it should be honoured under warranty. Although, their decision might be having some valid reasons, you should still ask them as to why that particular component is not covered in warranty as its not externally damaged due to any of your doings.
If your phone has no water damage, I'm unsure as to why Nokia Care rejected to service it under warranty. Maybe visiting another Care Center nearby might be helpful.
Screen Cost, I don't have a proper idea, but the simple (non-touch) display of my 6500 cost me 1800. So this larger and touch based display might have that cost.

Skype for Nokia Asha 310

I cant download skype for this version of Nokia Asha 310. I know video calling is NOT supported in this phone, but sending messages / im's should be possible. I had downloaded java version of skype (and skype lite) from some mobile sites, but does not seems to work. I can't SEE my contact list . Just I can log-in, then the screen freezes... Can anybody help me.
And, I'm thinking about buying a new mobile for using skype-video calling, Could anyone out there be able to suggest me some LOW COST phones??

Unfortunately there is no Skype application for the "Series 40 Asha Touch" operating system and devices building on it. You can have a look at Skype To Go to make use of the Skype calling rates while on the go though.
If you are looking for a low cost Skype enabled phones have a look at the Nokia Lumia series starting from 520 via 620 to 720.

Pls let me know if it is possible to read ebooks in Asha 310?
If yes, what formats does this support like .txt or .pdf or .epub etc
If not, then is it possible to install any app (third party is also fine) which will help support reading books in phone.. where can I find this app?

In the Ovi Store. However, bear in mind the Nokia 310 is short of heap memory (RAM) which does not allow to read big files and it is complicated. If you do not need Dual SIM, have you considered to go for Nokia Belle like the Nokia 700?

Nokia asha 310 software update trouble

I have downloaded a software and when i begun to install,it showed Delete some items. So i deleted everything frm my phone, but it again showed same message. As there are system files that are taking too much memory and i am unable to delete them so i can't instal the software.

Performancewise I would say this phone is somewhere in middle of Asha 305 and Asha 311. It's smoother to use than Asha 305 and big thanks for that goes to the capacitive touch screen (Asha 305 has resistive touch screen).

Nokia (Asha) 303 uses my credits even when I am co...

Dear all,
I bought Nokia (Asha) 303 a couple of years ago with the wish to browse the internet whenever I am close to WiFi network - which is both in my office and at home.
But, whenver I connect to internet, via the Nokia Browser, it consumes my credits like crazy. So much so that I am unable to use internet at all. For example, a couple of minutes ago, I paid ~ 8 CHF (like 8 USD) just to download the new version of Nokia Browser.
Is this the way it should be??? I doubt, because both my wife and my daughter are browsing carelessly using their devices - which are not Nokia 303.
I was playing with settings, and have:
WLAN search on;
WLAN first; and
Packett data - when needed.
Anything else I should do?

How can I remove .nrw files from my NOKIA Asha 200...

When I am connecting my NOKIA Asha 200 with my PC by data cable, I am watching almost 50 nos. *.nrw files inside the Image folder. I tried to delete all those file, but I was unable. Is there any one, who can tell me how to remove those files from my phone memory?

Back-up your data and then Factory Reset your phone ...(Menu-->Settings-->Restore Factory settings-->Settings only.. followed by 12345 which is default security code, unless set by you) .. When the phone reboots, check whether these .nrw files are now converted to .jpg .. If so, you should be able to delete them now ...
