Regarding file transfer SAP(SD)

hi everybody
I would like to know how files transfered from non SAP implementing to newly implementing SAP(SD)

Dear Shaik,
<b>If you are not using SAP XI</b>:
You will have to develop a custom program/LSMW to transfer the data from your legacy system to SAP system (SD Module in your case).
There are two ways by which you can achieve this.
1. Run your program/LSMW as a batch job with some frequency (Lets say daily, weekly etc).
2. Execute the program/LSMW in foreground (Manual).
<b>If you are using SAP XI</b>:
You will have to develop an interface to transfer data through XI from legacy system to SAP System.
Reward points if this is helpful.
Regards,
Naveen.

  • File Transfer SAP to MQ series

    Hi experts,
    We are having a SAP program which creates a file abc.txt. We want to push this file from SAP to a destination which is an MQ series directly. Please lets know the steps for this. Please provide any documents if any.
    Regards
    Vimal

    Hi,
    Here are the options:-->
    1. You can send the file thru FTP to MQseries destination
    2. Create a RFC function module and read the data and send to MQseries destination
    3. Using OPEN DATASET you read the file and write to a MQseries drive.
    You need more info let me know.

  • .PDF file transfer(SAP XI ) along with file name to SAP R3

    I would like to transfer a .PDF file along with its file name to target system.I need to have target structure like,
      <Target>
        <field1>
        <Field2>
    /Target>
    Field1should be mapped to file name( i can do this by using dynamic configuration and a UDF).
    Field 2 should me mapped to .PDF imae (.ie) i need tp pass the whole image to one target field
    How can i do this.
    Please suggest.

    Hi as mentioned by you the structure is
    <Target>
        <field1>
        <Field2>
    </Target>
    Field 1 Contains The dynamic File name UDF
    Just make This File name which is sent Thru Source side as "Filename.PDF" to be passed to the target end
    For example If the File name is XYZ
    Field 1 has XYZ--
    Pass The Field 2 as "XYZ.pdf" (i.e. File name Followed By .pdf as extension(Field1.pdf))

  • How to transfer file from sap server to PDM server using open FT??

    Hello Sap Guru's
    I want to Trasfer a file with all supplier information from SAP server to PDM server(Thirdparty) system Using Open FT ..How can I transfer ???
    Please let me know the answer??
    Thanks In Advance
    Preethi

    Hi Preethi,
    I think it is not possible to transfer a file from SAP to PDM using open FT.
    Using RFCs, we can do the transfer.
    Other option is the file can be downloaded into UNIX. And from there using a shellscript we can transfer the file from UNIX to PDM or if your PDM has the option to grab the file from UNIX that will also work.
    Hope this helps.
    Please reward if helpful.

  • SAP PI ftp FIle transfer one to one with the same filename

    Hello all,
    maybe sombody ask the same in this forum, but couldn't find any topic regarding these.
    Okay:
    We have a scenario which have to pick up a txt file from a folder and to deliver to another folder
    outside. The file transfer itselfs isn't a problem and works propertly, but we need the same file-
    name for the outgoing file. Unfortunaltey we have huge different filenames..
    So, my question would be, what for possiblities we have to sure, that if we can deliver the
    file which the same filename as we have in the orginal (source) filefolder.
    e.g. file named in source called TEST.123 in the destination should be also TEST.123.
    The next file called TEST123.abc should be also in the destination TEST123.abc.
    Thanks

    Hi friends.
    I don't know about if you need still any help. But i think it will be useful for another people who have encountered that problem and looking for the solution.
    The solution is pretty simple for case if you are going to some file by scenario FTP - to - FTP without interface mapping. I was able to create simple example ant put it on my site to let you use the portable short instruction with screen shots and highlighted marks that help you understand it more clear. Indeed you don't need any udf if you wish to repeat that example in your real scenario. Link is HERE
    Shortly you have to do the next:
    1) for the sender adapter in tab "Advanced" switch on the check-box "Set Adapter Specific Attributes" and check that "File name" is switched on as well.
    2) for the receiver adapter you have to repeat step 1 as well. Plus you have to change setting on the tab "Processing". On that tab you need to change "File Construction Mode" into "Create" and than you have to switch on the check box named as "Overwrite Existing File".
    That's it.
    Thank you, i hope that is help.
    Sincerely, LukCAD.

  • Regarding the nomenclature for include files in SAP

    Hi Group,
    I am presently enhancing a tool for the upgrade thing .The tool is used to derive all the effected objects,so, for that i need to know the nomenclature for include files in SAP.e,g all the include files for table maintenance generator starts with LSVIM.so, we don't need to analyse that include files,so in the similar fashion i need to know nomenclature for include files....
    Thanks,

  • How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?

    Hi Guys,
                 Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
                Any Logic  or Code for how to do is welcomed.
                        plz help me urgently.
    Thanks,
    Gopi

    Hi,
      directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
    Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

  • Error no. 4 in SAPGUI during graphic call or file transfer.

    Hi,
    In the landscape there are still 46b sap version, i have some functional queries that when i executes go to the sap graphic screen and it throws with no output. I understand that that it works in ECC version but not for 46b.
    This issue is related to SAPGUI, as i have the latest sapgui installed 710 that works well for ECC.
    But if i input the parameter in sap 46b system , and execute to get the graphic chart i get this:
    The Generation of Graphs for Stock Movements in the MC49 Transaction.
    When you call a hierarchy graphic, the following error messages are displayed
    1. 'Too much data in a table or too many tables defined
    2. E4: error writing to XC pipe: child #1 ( id: STAT ); reclen12
    3. Error no. 4 in SAPGUI during graphic call or file transfer.
    I have also look in to note 316232, 361222, 96885. for this but  this says to upgrade the sapgui,which is already in.
    What is the solution for this.
    Regards,
    Chetan.

    Take a look at this thread.  This may provide you some guidance as it appears that Error has been encountered before.

  • Downloading a file from SAP (tcode FDTA) onto the disk drive of the server

    Hi,
    We are using the transaction FDTA to download a file to the server. This server is the same one on which the SAP system is hosted the download we have to specify the destination path as
    server1\folder1\filename.txt.
    The file is downloaded successfully every time.But we need to know which userID was used by SAP to download the file. For this we have switched on the Windows feature of Auditing. This gives us the username which has created the file on the drive.
    Here it gets complicated, as each time we see a different username. Sometimes it is the user using which we logged on to the windows OS (terminal server from where we fire the sap logon pad) and other times it shows the user as sidadm.
    We need to know how this file transfer process takes place or if there is someway we can ensure that only one userID is always associated with the file download.
    Regards,
    Rohan.

    Hi,
    Thank you Markus and BAIGSA. But the user that i see associated with the file (we get this information via Windows auditing) is the user which is used to login to the terminal server.
    Now to explain in detail we first login to the terminal server with domain user ID (userA for e.g.). From there we are able to access the SAP R/3 as well as the OS of the SAP systems. So after I login to this terminal server I open the SAP logon pad and logon to the SAP system from where I fire the tcode FDTA mentioned above.
    It seems the user I used to logon to the terminal server (userA) is associated with the file (as seen in Windows auditing) and not the sidadm or the SAPserviceSID user.
    Is this happening only because I am using a terminal server to hop onto the SAP system?
    Regards,
    Rohan.

  • Getting error in file transfer from one system to another system

    Hi All
    One of my client (User) wants to transfer his file from  SAP R/3 System SAP XI system. He is using a customize t-code ZFIR0325 (Trial balance report transfer to Hyperian System). When user execute the  program he is getting error "File Transfer Failed due to Network chk with Admin"
    I checked with Network team but they said it is okay from their side. We also check for authorization but there is no issue regarding authorization.
    Name of File Path of Aplication Server, XI destinaion and XI directory entered by user is correct.
    We also put authorization trace in XI System to RFC User (In file transfer from one system to another system this RFC User is geeing Used) but no authorization issue was found.
    Please help me to resolve this problem. I any detail require I will provide the same.

    Firstly, no one in the community can answer on how a custom transcation code and a program associated with it behaves.
    If there are no authorization issues in the system, you have to look at the exact error message. Look if your XI system is allowed to receive files from the SAP system.
    Unfortunately, you should do some more home work before putting your question here. If everything is fine and configured correctly, then the issue might be with the program.

    Hi ,
      Coule you check whether data is there in your internal table or not , because i created a sample program and it worked file.
    Also check whether you have access to modify the file ,i.e. check if the file is read only , try writing to a new file .
    Do revert back with the observations.

  • AutoCAD files using SAP XI

    Dear All,
    1. Is it possible to transfer AutoCAD files using SAP XI?
    2. Will the file adapter serve the purpose?
    3. If yes, are there any performance issues that need to be looked at in transferring AutoCAD files?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

    Hi Ashwin,
    It is possible to process CAD files.
    It is possible with File adapters only. the performance could be analysed based on the size of files as well as for 2-D drawings in Auto CAD it will take less volume of file size but normally 3-D drawings consumes lot of space.
    there is one similar scenario to process image files in below link. This will give you step by step Idea about it.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10dd67dd-a42b-2a10-2785-91c40ee56c0b
    To open a DWG file in CDESK u need to have the Autocad s/w installed on ur system this is because when u tell SAP to open any type of file first it saves its original copy in a temp folder and to store any dam type of a file u need to have the application that supports that type
    of file
    there is some s/w called EI viewer I dont know much functionality of it but i guess its required for the drawings involving 3D view
    thanks
