Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Start first with these please:
KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password using the password recovery question
KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." is encountered when attempting to reset a BlackBerry ID password
KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
KB28111 Unable to reset BlackBerry ID password when using a BlackBerry hosted email address
KB28232 BlackBerry ID reset email is not being delivered to the associated mailbox
If you have forgotten your BB ID credentials AND have non-BB access (e.g., Outlook, webmail, etc.) to the email account that is currently configured to your BB ID account, then those instructions should allow you to recover access to your BB ID account.
However, if you do not have access to that email account, then your challenge is much greater, and you have a choice to make depending on your circumstances:
If you have no AppWorld records that you require to retain (e.g., purchase records for apps), then simply abandon the BB ID and create a new one. To do so, however, does require a device WIPE:
KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
But, if you do have AppWorld records that you must keep, then you require human intervention. To receive that, you must ring up your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. Further, you must convince BlackBerry to provide you with a solution -- which likely will either be resetting your current BB ID so that you can again access it or having you create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase records over. Note that I have no idea if they will be willing to do this, but there is no other way that I know of to retain your prior AppWorld purchase records.
Good luck!

I have forgotten the master password/ admin password. I have gone into 'system preferences' and 'security'. It says that the 'FileVault' is turned off so does that meant that our files (including photos) will not be deleted because it is turned off?

"OK, restart your computer, hold down Command-s and type in the following:

  • Root Password Recovery Question

    Hello all,
I have a question regarding root password recovery in Solaris 10.
The Server is a Sun Fire T1000; it has no CD-Rom drive, as well as no USB ports. One of our data architects who is the main user of this server has locked himself out of root (he also never created any other user accounts).
Now I know normally for root password recovery you use the solaris cd to boot into single user mode to take care of this but that's not an option currently. I was wondering if there is a way to put the hard drive as a slave in another Sun Fire T1000 server and then mount it and modify the shadow file removing the encrypted password. I've done this in other Linux OS's and it has worked but I didn't know about Solaris.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is for a project my company is working on and they have a presentation coming up in around 4-5 weeks.
    Thank you!
    -Mike

Well I tried making the locked out hard drive a slave on another server of the same type. But I couldn't seem to mount it, I even tried the "touch /reconfigure; init 6" to reconfigure devices but it just didn't seem to find it. I tried mounting everything in /dev/dsk but nothing was successful.
Anyone have any other suggestions on commands that might work?
I put a purchase order in for a USB to SATA converter, and got a hold of a different Sun server which has USB ports but no SATA, only IDE. As soon as I get it i'm going to try to mount it like a USB external hard drive. I believe when mounting USB it doesn't care if it's a jump drive or a external hard drive it should still mount it correctly. Hopefully this will allow me to modify the shadow file.
Thanks in advance if anyone has any other suggestions.

  • Can't sign in, forgot password, forgot recovery answer

    Hello BlackBerry staffs,
My name is Sanjaya, and I am having a problem with signing in to my blackbery ID. what's happening is that I am switching to another phone, so I give my current Z10 to my young sister. She wants to edit the name and replace the email with hers. In order to do that, I need to sign in to my ID. Unfortunately, I have forgotten my BlackBerry ID password. I thought I remember the answer for the recovery question, but it doesnt seem so. However, I believe that te answers I've tried are closed to the real one. Can you please help me through this? Thank you very much

    Hello Pak Sanjaya
    Welcome to the Community
For your kind information, we are not BlackBerry staff, but volunteer whom enjoy to help with other members here
Regarding your issue, we can't use different BlackBerry ID in one device. Hence, if you want to change it with your sister one, you need to wipe your Z10 first, then she can use her BlackBerry ID on it ( she had made an BlackBerry ID for sure).
Don't forget to backup your device first, in case there are some data that you still need.
    Cheers.

First, remove your personal information from your post.  That's not needed here.  This is a public forum, and it is unwise to provide your personal data online.
Second, here's how you reset your password and/or security questions.
How to reset your Apple ID password.
Go to iforgot.apple.com and type in your Apple ID, then click 'Next'.
Verify your date of birth, then click 'Next'.
You'll be able to choose one of two methods to reset your password, either E-Mail Authentication or Answer Security Questions.
If neither method works, then go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
    A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.
How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'.  This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or  there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
    Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
    A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
    Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.
