Steps To Create Custom IDOC
1.Create Segment Type (WE31)
Go to Transaction code WE31
Enter Segment type, click on Create
Give Description
Enter the Necessary Fields & Data Elements for those Fields.
Save the Changes.
2.Create Idoc Type (WE30)
Go to transaction code WE30
Enter the Object Name, select Basic type and click Create icon
Select the create new option and enter a description for your basic IDOC type and press enter
Select the IDOC Name and click Create icon
The system prompts us to enter a segment type and its attributes
Choose the appropriate values and press Enter
The system transfers the name of the segment type to the IDOC editor.
Follow these steps to add more number of segments to Parent or as Parent-child relation
Save it and go back
Go to Edit -> Set release
3.Create Message Type (WE81)
Go to transaction code WE81
Change the details from Display mode to Change modenAfter selection, the system will give this message The table is cross-client (see Help for further info). Press EnternClick New Entries to create new Message Type
Fill details
Save it and go back
4.Assign Idoc Type to Message Type (WE82)
Go to transaction code WE82
Change the details from Display mode to Change moden After selection, the system will give this message The table is cross-client (see Help for further info). Press Enter.
Click New Entries to create new Message Type.
Fill details
Save it and go back

How to create a quick toolbar ribbon in Acrobat?

In Office 2007, I find that the ribbon (i.e., quick access toolbar) is extremely handy.
I use it whenever I open the Office 2007.
In Acrobat 9.0 which came with both CS4 and CS5, I don't see the ribbon.
Is there anyway to create the ribbon?
I recently purchased Nitro PDF. It came with the ribbon. Why not with Acrobat?

The ribbon is a design/ui that Microsoft designed. Some people like it. Obviously the company that created Nitropdf fall in that category. Adobe doesn't. Generally, they try to make their applications work the same on all platforms using a similar interface. I frequently use my mac in an office that many of my co-workers have access to. I'd like to know of a quick way to lock my screen without putting it in sleep mode or using the screen saver/expose feature. I have the Lock Screen icon in my menu bar but i'd like to know how I can assign a quick key to quickly activate the "Lock Screen" function.

How to create uncompressed Quick Time from my sequence?

I edited a sequence from a Quick Time Movie conversion. I have to send a file of my sequence in the highest quality for TV. How can I export it without compressing it?
The sequence Settings are: Vid Rate: 25fps, Frame Size: 1024x576, Compressor DV-PAL, Pixel Aspect Square.
The Audio is 48.0 KHz, 16-bit Integer

If you converted the DVD to DV/PAL, how did you end up with that screen size? 1072x576? That's not the DV/PAL resolution preset.
I used a tutorial and selected 720x576 (DV-PAL) for Frame Size.
is the FOOTAGE that size? If so, why is your sequence not?
the original filming was done in HD.
That is moot. The original filming was then burned to DVD...and you ripped that. Far from ideal conditions. HD, compressed (highly compressed) to DVD, then ripped to DV? Compression on top of compression. I'll be amazed if it passes muster for broadcast TV.
If it was shot in HD, why didn't you get the actual source footage?
What can I do with what I have for it to play on TV please?
Get it properly formatted to 720x576. Might have an online editor work on this too...someone trained to deliver shows to networks, and who knows how to read network specs.

Assumin your instance number is 00
ABAP Port : 8000
JAVA Port: 50000
What is to be undwerstand here is the role of your port here, if you want to acess any Xi component residing on the Java stacj you will use 50000, since SLD and rwd are on the java stack you cannot have different port to acess them.
similary for ABAP Stack 8000 is used.....
inaddition to this you will also have the trfc Port for IDOC communication port,
you can check the abap port by SMICMgotoservices......
the default <ABAP_HTTP_Port> is 8000

Error encountered while creating a Ratings Quick Poll

Hello,
I tried creating a Quick Poll by selecting the "Rating" option. I attached a sample .txt file I had uploaded, added a question and other details and clicked save. The system returned an error stating that the provided document could not be rated.
Could somebody please help me create a Ratings Quick Poll andl et me know what type of documents I can rate and how to go about the whole process?

Hi Farsheed,
You always link a rating with a document. A link to the document in question is always displayed in the quick poll iView. You define a question but no answers. A rating scale is displayed in the iView as you defined in the configuration of Content Management.

1) If you want to create Quick Poll in Knowledge Management then you should
have 2 roles assigned to you i.e. eu_role and content management.
2) To assign those roles go to User Management and assign to your User or can ask the Sys Admin to do it.
3) You will see New Worksetu2019s assigned to you in the Portal
a) Content Administrator and
b) Home
4) Go to Content Management ? Quick Poll Administrator
5) You will find a New button. Click it
6) Give the Following Details
a) New ? Give some name to the Poll you are conducting.
b) Campaign ? Create a New Campaign or use the existing campaign.
c) Question ? Post some Question
d) Responses ? Give one response per line like yes, no, canu2019t say.
e) Result Availability ? Select the appropriate radio button.
7) There are different options to beautify the Poll create, check the Tabu2019s above the poll create.
You can change the Image, Layout, Result Display, Participants, Schedule and Comment.
8) Now that you have created the Poll, you have to activate the Poll.
9) Go to Content Administration
10) Go to Portal Content ? Right Side panel you click Portal Content.
11) Under that you will have a folder u201CContent Provided by SAPu201D. Click it.
12) Find u201CEnd User Contentu201D .Click it.
13) Find u201CStandard Portal Useru2019su2019. Click it
14) Find u201CIViewsu201D. Click It.
15) Find u201Ccom.sap.km.iviewsu201D. Click It.
16) Find u201CQuick Pollu201D. Double Click it.
17) It will open the Quick Poll Iview, in the property category change the
u201CCampaign to be usedu201D as the name the campaign which you have created while creating the poll.
18) Come back to Content Management
19) If already a poll is running it then stop it and start the poll you have created.

Hello SDNers,
I am in the phase of creating Quick poll IView for portal frontpage/Homepage(newly created role).
My concern is, how can I make Quick poll more beutifull like setting the background color of QP or something more innovative.
Other concern would be, I want to provide the Quick poll IView in only frontpage just below to detailed navigation position. Will it be possible ?
Finally when I created the Quick poll using Quick poll administration in Content management, >>>> then created the KM QP IView under Content administration by assigning the compaign Name to be used >>>> assigned to desktop inner pages.
Now, the QP IView doesn't allows me to vote. Only it shows the results
Please, provide me solution where I went wrong ? Appreciate your time and valuable inputs.

There is no standard way to capture the user ids of the users who have participated in the poll. Users who have participated in the poll will know by checking their quick poll dashbord.

I have a problem here, we create a quick poll through the quick poll administrator, then we stat it but the users aren't be able to view this created polls :s. In the Quick poll iVews always appear a message "No quick poll is currently available".
