Regarding Including custom parameters in SQ02

I need to add a custom select parameter in SQ02, I have done it by adding in selections tab in SQ02.
However I am not able to connect this parameter in data fetching,

If I understood your problem correctly...
When you create a user decision a screen will appear.
In the decision tab under Title you can give your custom text.
Even if you want to give some variable (value of which will be determined at runtime) you can give that as well.
Like you have created a container for BOR objects MAT_DETAIL, in that object there is a field MATERIAL.
You can define your custom text as below:
Title: Would you like to create new material or display material &
Parameter 1: &MAT_DETAIL.MATERIAL&;
In Title you can give as max. as 4 &(ampersand). And each & will be replaced by each Parameter at runtime in same sequence.
In parameters you use to select the container defined by you earlier.

Place to store custom parameters (properties) in swing application

In a relatively simple swing application, I was wondering how should I handle choosing of custom parameters like database userid and password. I think for a simple application I can use xml file for setting the userid and password. But that leads to some doubts.
1. The xml file cannot be included in the jar distribution beacuse otherwise the user will not be able to change the settings.( We don't expect the user to unjar the file, change the settings and repackage it). So where should the xml file be put ?
2. In my program, I should be able to read the xml file based on the relative path (which ideally should begin from the location where the jar is stored). How would I achieve that.
That said, if there is some other way, easier or more suited for this kind of functionality, please let me know.

How can I include Customer Hierarchy in Customer master IDoc -DEBMAS06 ?

I am generating Customer master IDoc using basic message type DEBMAS06. But when I include customer hierarchy data while creating customer master, it is not included in any of the segments. The segment containing the data from KNVH is not included in standard.
How do I include this hierarchy data in the IDoc? If I create a segment, under which basic segment should it be included and how to update the data in the segment?
Can anybody help?

You can use LSMW :-
1) Create a project , sub project and an object.
2) execute it from 1 st screen to enter the object.
3) You will find proces steps.
4) In Maintain Object Attributes choose Program Name RFBIDE00.
or I-DOC or the way you want the input to be.
5) You can proceed from there following the instruction..

How to pass custom parameters to the Notification message body in a process

We are migrating from ORACLE workflows to Oracle OWB process flows as part of upgrade to Oracle 11g R2. Earlier in workflow notification mesages we could attach custom attributes (eg X_NAME) and reference the custom attributes in the notification message body (&X_NAME) to dynamically build the message body as per the custom attribute values.
I tried to add a cutom parameter X_EMAIL_ID to a OWB process notification activity and trying to pass it to the notification message body by giving the value "This message is from &X_EMAIL_ID" in TEXT_BODY. But when I get the notification message it shows only "This message is from" and it does not show anything about X_EMAIL_ID.
Please advise Please help us if anyone have used any workaround to dynamically populate the TEXT_BODY in a notification activity based on custom parameters.

Thank you for your suggestions. When I try to bind the variable to the notification activity parameter TEXT_BODY I get this error - VLD-10035: The value of parameter TEXT_BODY in a NOTIFICATION activity must be a literal value, bindings or expressions are not allowed. It looks like the text_body can have only literal values. Could you please advise if you received any such error or how could you resolve them.

You can use the sold to party field fiield for your requirement.
Press f4, you will get a pop up to select customer depending on various selection criteria including customer name.
If can enter the customer name, which will sort out the sold to party number whihc you can use.
If this is not wat is required you have to copy the transaction and create a new Zreport.

Using Custom Parameters

Hi, I have been asked to ensure that the isolation level is set to read uncommitted when a business objects query is executing. I have had a read around the forums and it appears that this should be possible by using the custom parameters in the universe but I have'nt been able to get it to work. Using XIR2, I have a universe set up pointing at AdventureWorks on SQL Server 2005 and the report is based on this. The parameter I have set is called ConnectINIT and I have given it the value of "SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED". In order to test the results I have created an object ('Isolation Level') that contains the select statement
(select transaction_isolation_level from sys.dm_exec_requests where command = 'SELECT')
so in my report I am expecting to see this object return 0 for all rows if the isolation level is 'Read Uncommitted'. However it is returning 2. The sql generated by Business Objects is:

my understanding was that these parameters only worked with Oracle not with SQLServer. I am open to correction.

Hi Ganga,
This is the question of customer exit....you will get very good links on the forum itself...but i can give you some hint:
1. fing out the package or program name for the transaction(by gng in the setting)
2. go to se84 and in the enhancement->customer exit tab...with the help of pkg name got above find out the various enhacement for this tcode.
3.find out the appropriate one by putting in the break point.
4. You can get an exit with a screen exit where you will create your own screen(with the custom field if.....then you have to append them in the table) or with the std fields.
5. there you will get the fm exit for PBO and PAI as well.

Include customer tables : TDMS HCM

Hi,
I'm using the PA & PD Scnerario. I would like to include client table "HRP9508". But when I execute the activity "Transfer Selection Criteria" I've the next warning "Table HRP9508 is not registered as being released".
To include this table I execute the next activities in the DEV system and transport to PRD system :
Define Customer Table Transfer,
Define Tables for Customer Table
Transfer and Table Transfer Status.
But after do that, the warning shows again.
Anybody had tried to include customer tables with TDMS & HCM (because I think the process to do it with TDMS and ECC is different).

just for information. You said that you had maintained the following:
Define Customer Table Transfer,
Define Tables for Customer Table
Transfer and Table Transfer Status.
For your self-defined infotypes you need only maintain the last table. This is described in the documentation though........

or if it is in a package called css
jQuery.sap.includeStyleSheet("css/custom.css","MyCustomCSS");
MyCustomCSS is just an alias to call the css file

DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL doesn't include function parameters

Sometimes, when I call DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL to get the DDL statement for a function (which we always do to ensure we're starting from the source that's actually in production), the returned text doesn't include the parameters. Other times, it does, and I'm not able to see any pattern.
I was going to just make a function and show the output, but that did show the parameters. Then I tried calling GET_DDL while logged in as SYS as SYSDBA on my development database, and I still did not get the parameters, so I don't think it's a permissions issue.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?

It's really difficult to show you exactly what I'm doing when I can't consistently reproduce the problem, as I described.
But here, I'll try.

...I am not able to determine any consistent reason for this. In our production database, I can log in as myself and get the parameters for a specific function, but another user (that our automated process uses) doesn't see the parameters. In my development database, I log in as myself and I do not see the parameters, but I still don't see them when I log in as SYS AS SYSDBA.
For what it's worth, if I recreate the function on my development database, then subsequent calls do show the parameters.

But now i have created my own custom select box and want to add it on a given jsp page.

but how should i embed it in javascript, so that i will be able to add it on the give jsp page.

when the jsp page is loaded for the first time it contains a select box containg names created by a taglib.but there is a feature i want to add wherein though javascript the name selectebox will keep on coming on each row i want to add. and this is row addition and deletion is being handled by the javascript. there i encounter the bug how to interact the javascript with taglib so tha with each row addition i will have populated taglib created select box on each row.

There is no validation for the values that can be input so you can put anything in the value field. For example, try "BUK" and
then a value for a company code you know does not exist.
When you run a transaction with that it will default that value.
