Regarding Invoice No 1003 in SAP Demo Database

Hi
In sap Demo Database SBODemo_US, for Invoice no 1003,
for an item A00006 Price is given as 786.60. Choose Goto Menu and further choose Gross Profit, it displays the base price and Sales Price(770.87). How can the price be different at two places?
If it is how it is calculated?

Hi Janakiraman,
unfortunately we don't have an upload storage here in the SDN. At this point we have two options:
a) you could upload the screenshots to a website that provides storage and then you can paste the url to the screenshots here
b) we can route this through our support channel. You can send a message to our support team in the <a href="http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/support">SAP Business One Support Center</a> in our <a href="http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo">SAP PartnerEdge Portal</a>.
Please use the method that works best for you.
Thanks,

  • SAP DEMO Database for SAP b1 Version for HANA

I was wondering if anyone can Help. I have installed the SBODEMO database on SAP B1 version for SAP Hana. V9.0 PL4 and then upgraded to PL9HF (901.00 to 902.001) the SBOCOMMON upgraded ok but SBODEMO database failed on the pre upgrade checks with "Parameter type error in stored procedure SBO_SP_TranasctionNotification and refers to Note 134078. I logged it with SAP and they have said uninstall the SBO DEMO database and then reinstall. Can anybody provide details on how to do this as there are no uninstaller just for the DEMO db as it was installed during the SAP B1 server installation.

    Hi Nathan,
You can uninstall using uninstall.bin typically located in /opt/sap/SAPBusinessOne. If you deleted /opt/sap/SAPBusinessOne or the uninstall fails you can use the command shown below.
    //Check for B1 rpm files
    rpm -q -a | grep B1
    //remove B1 rpm files
    rpm -q -a | grep B1 | xargs rpm -e
After uninstalling I would recommend deleting the directory (rm -rf  /opt/sap/SAPBusinessOne).

  • Query regarding Business Partner Address in SAP B1?

    Hi Friends,
WHile i extract SAP datas for my ETL Product,I found some issues..Hereby i m telling the steps to reproduce that in Demo database of OEC Computers..
1.Open SAP B1 Business Partner data
    2.Open C40001 Business partner data..
3.Open Addresses tab of that Business partner
4.Click Bill to Address..And u can c no datas is present for that BP 'C40001'.
5.And Open OCRD in Sql Server.. And u can c Address as      '208 Hollywood Av'and ZipCode as '28989'.And it's present in XML of that Business Partner data but not shown in UI in Address tab..
6.Where these datas are present in Business Partner UI..How can i view those in UI?
Please give me a clear information for that..
    Thanks in Advance
    regards
    Sooriyakala.P

    Hi Sooriya,
I was able to reproduce the issue in our demo database.
This is most likely just an anomaly in that specific database, maybe created by manipulating the database directly.
The actual data of the BP Addresses grid comes from CRD1. The third shipping address for BP 'C40001' actually seems to have the same information as in OCRD.Address.
The Address field in OCRD is just a convenience shortcut that should duplicate whatever is written to the single billto address for that customer. You're right that the field should be empty as there are no billto address rows in CRD1 for that customer.
I'm pretty sure you will not be able to reproduce this in a real live database. However, there are other issues to watch out for with BP addresses. For instance with SBO 2004, there is a issue regarding updating the name of a billto address. If you do it with DI API (or with DTW), you will end up with two billing addresses. This cannot be done in the client, as it is against the validation rules. The nasty part is that DI API does not currently support removal of BP addresses. It's no fun doing it manually for 4000 customers

  • Demo Database UK - upgrade problem

    Hi
    I downloaded a demo database for UK - SAP B11 v8.8 PL10.
When I try to upgrade to SAP B1 v8.8 PL12, 15,16,or 17 I get the following warning and the upgrade fails:-
Check skipped as no metadata from the common database.  Common database version differs from the company database version.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ian

    Dear Ian,
I assume you are facing an issue described in SAP Note [1343074|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1343074] (Upgrade Wizard Precheck: Fix table structure check). As it states in the note above,
If the warning message "Common database version differs from company database version" is displayed, choose one of the following solutions:
    -  Confirm the warning message and continue the upgrade process. The company database structure check will be skipped.
    -  Upgrade the company database with the common database of same version.
    hope it helps,

  • How NOT to do Direct grant on "Demo database" Method filter

    Hello,
When I add a new user in BPA, on the 5 step of the wizard
The "Demo database" is checked under the"'Direct" assign AND is greyed out.
I do not want the user to have this filter.
What is worse is that I cannot go in after user creation to REVOKE this filter either.
Q1 : How do I revoke this filter?
Q2 : What is causing this behaviour (of auto grant) to happen ?
    This happens
    Thanks in advance
    regards
    Sanjiv

    Hi Sanjiv,
I have been working on ARIS and i havnt faced the problem that you have mentioned. we can easily assign any filter to any user and not just only one we can also assign more thn one filter.
As you said you have raised it to Oracle, have they acknowledge it as an bug in Oracle BPA?
Please provide me with your mail ID and i will send you procedure to create user and assign filter.
It is possible that there is a Bug in Oracle release or may be you have missed some thing while performing the procedure.

  • Sap Demo environment in a box?

    Hello.
I'm looking for a very easy sap demo environment in a box (single server / vmware image). It's not to show a lot of sap backend related features, we only need to connect with sapgui / browser to show something.
    So I'm looking for a
    1. ECC 5 with some data to show /PO /SP /GR55 for example.
Not a lot of business stuff. Only to show one transaction with excel integration
    2. Enterprise Portal.
Should be possible to import an iview and show some other EP default iviews. Don't need business data in the portal.
Is there a way to get something like a preconfigured Portal + ECC? Also a automated installer with a demo configuration would be great. Do you know a partner who can provide something like that (germany)
    Thanks in advance.
    Danny

The sneak previews will be you best bet.  It really doesn't take a genius to install either of them.  First install the ABAP side,  then install the java side.  There are some weblogs which will walk your thru the entire process.  And if any problems come up, most likely they have been seen before and solved right here on SDN.  Just search the forums.
    /people/sugree.phatanapherom/blog/2005/08/01/a-visual-installation-guide-on-sneak-preview-sap-netweaver-04-java-edition
    /people/sugree.phatanapherom/blog/2005/08/17/a-visual-installation-guide-on-sneak-preview-sap-netweaver-04-abap-edition
With these systems, you will be able to demo the Excel integration(transaction code DWDM) as well as the portal frontend.

    2. The solution
Ok, we see here that all datavolumes could be read but that the logvolume is somehow broken.
What is necessary to do now is: recreate the logvolume.
But what about the data in the logvolume? The logdata would only be needed if the last shutdown of the database was NOT sucessfull. So we better check this in the krnldiag.err file:
    2008-03-01 00:23:44                          ___ Stopping GMT 2008-02-29 23:23:44           7.5.0    Build 032-123-111-699
    2008-03-01 01:07:37                          --- Starting GMT 2008-03-01 00:07:37           7.5.0    Build 032-123-111-699
    2008-03-01 01:07:43    31 ERR 11000 page0io_ Illegal file format
    2008-03-01 01:07:43    31 ERR 11000 page0io_ blocksize wanted: 8192, blocksize found: 0
    2008-03-01 01:07:43    15 ERR 11000 vattach  dev0_vattach returned FALSE
2008-03-01 01:07:43    15 ERR 20014 IOMan    Attach error on log volume 1: Could not open volume
    2008-03-01 01:07:43    15 ERR 20017 Admin    RestartFilesystem failed with 'I/O error'
    2008-03-01 01:07:43    15 ERR 20010 Admin    ERROR 'disk_not_accessibl' CAUSED EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN
From here we see that the last shutdown before the error occured was indeed successful and that the error occured right the next time the database was started. So the logvolume cannot contain any data changes that are not yet in the data area.
Therefore it is safe to recreate the log area.
How can that be done? Up to MaxDB 7.7 there are only two ways to create the logarea and the logarea files:
    1. create a database
    or
    2. recovery with initialization.
From MaxDB 7.7 onwards a *clear log' will do the same - but here we are on MaxDB 7.5.
For this problem only option 2 is feasible: RECOVERY WITH INITIALIZATION.
Although this is a standard DBA task, the customer told me that there is no experience available on his site he needs a step-by-step description how to perform this recovery.
Even more: the DBMGUI tool is not installed on this machine, so he needs a explanation for the dbmcli.
    Here we go:
    1. bring the database in ADMIN mode:
    dbmcli -d <DBSID> -u control,<pw>
    dbmcli on ... > db_admin
    2. connect to the Utility Session
    dbmcli on ...> util_connect
    3. perform a complete data backup
    dbmcli on ... > backup_start <medium_name> DATA
(this is needed because we want to recover the current data area)
    4. perform a recovery with initialization:
!!! ATTENTION THIS IS THE POINT OF NO RETURN! MAKE DOUBLE SURE THAT THE BACKUP TAKEN IN STEP 3 IS OK !!!
    dbmcli on ... >  db_activate RECOVER <medium_name>  DATA
After this db_activate has been sucessfully finished the database will be online but in HISTLOST-state.
Now a new backup is required to be able to perform new log backups again.
    That's it sofar.
Anyhow it's HIGHLY recommended to use the DBMGUI tool which can be downloaded in SAP Service Marketplace or here in the SDN download area.
The whole process of backup/recovery is of course fully described in the [MaxDB documentation|http://maxdb.sap.com/documentation/].
    P.S.
The <medium_name> is the name of the backup template to be used for backup or recovery.
To display all available mediums use the
    medium_getall
    command.
If a new medium should be created (for the backup of step 3 this is recommended to avoid the overwriting of any existing backups) the following command can be used
    medium_put FULLDATABACK /tmp/fulldatabak file data
The medium_name here is FULLDATABACK. The backup will be written to a file  - the file will be /tmp/fulldatabak (the complete filename has to be put in here).
The medium can only be used to perform complete data backups.

  • SAP DB database username and password

    Hi!
I'd like to connect to the SAP DB database by using the Database Manager application. The DB instance was installed with sapinst.exe and I've never got any username and password.
    What can I do?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards,
    Igor Barbaric

    Hello!
"control - control" was fine for a DBM user, but now I need an SQL user. I tried in SAPDB SQL Studio with SAP<sysid>DB and SAP<sysid> with the password entered in the installation process, but it doesn't work. In DB Manager -> Configuration -> Users I can see only default DBM users CONTROL and SUPERDBA.
However, when the SAP system is up and running, in Information -> Sessions I can see 8 sessions of SAPDEV user. This is obviously an SQL user which SAP uses to connect to the database, but I don't know it's password.
Is there some other default SQL user or a way to find out or change the SAPDEV's password (ofcourse, then I'd have to change it in SAP too, or otherwise it couldn't connect)?
    Thanks!
    Kind regards,
    Igor Barbaric

  • Activation sap demo content

hello, I am trying to activate SAP DEMO CONTENT..se activate all the objects but the Source System SAP_DEMO is not created. Is necessary create it before? as it is created?
    regards
    Carlos Trujillo

I know Voodi. I managed to resolve the issue by doing the following:
    1. Created an SAPDEMO system manually
    2. Re installed the Demo content cube
    3. Followed note: 370397 and created content for the cube 0D_DECU
    4. Created infopackage manually and uploaded data (Not sure why the system did not create the IP while activating.
    Cheers
