  • REGARDING SAP UTILITIES

    Hello everyone,
plz. tell me in Device Management, What is Third party Billing?

    Hi,
This is in case of a deregularised industry...
There are two terms distributor(can be electrical distribution company) and supplier( a vendor/contractor assigned to look into a specific areas)..
if the supplier performs billing with his charges sends the bill to the customer, then it is a third party billing...
if the distributor performs the billing + puts the supplier charges and sends it the customer, then it is called the consolidated bill and the process is called consoildated billing...
the distributor can send a separate bill and the supplier can also send a separte bill(Third party billing)...
    Reward if useful

  • Oxford FireWire Bridge Utilities

This is a general external hardware question that didn't really fit in any particular listed category. If the moderators think it belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it appropriately.
    My problem is as follows:
Due to an embarrassing faux pas - completely my own fault - I have inadvertently rendered an external FW 400/800 drive enclosure useless, by trashing the firmware of its Oxford 912 bridge-board.
The good news: 1. I have located several Java-based Oxford utilities that are designed for one of the following actions: updating, uploading and cloning the firmware to a board, 2. I have a few of these enclosures with working firmware.
The bad news (and there's a lot more of it than good news): 1. I cloned the firmware from a working device, but the updater and uploader don't seem to be able to upload it to the non-working enclosure, 2. Oxford is no longer an independent company, but exists as part of a larger firm that bought them out. They are all but useless in being able to help me with a bridge-board that was discontinued years ago (as it is a PATA-to-FW board), 3. Nowhere on the web have I been able to find proper instruction for the use of these utilities, 4. The "Cloner" utility seems like the right choice - but I don't want to risk screwing-up one of the working enclosures by not having the proper instructions. These are potentially very powerful utilities, and the risk of damage is great (which is how I trashed the now non-functioning enclosure).
If someone out there in the ethers has some knowledge regarding these utilities, and how I can use it to revive my enclosure I would be VERY grateful!
    Thanks!

I appreciate that you took the time to reply, but why waste your time?
The answers to your questions are simple: 1. you can't put a PATA drive in a Mac Pro. 2. You can no longer buy PATA to FW800 enclosures. 3. Due to floods in Thailand the price of any drive is 3X too much, and I have a significant number of good-sized PATA drives that make for excellent Time Machine drives. 4. The 912 bridgeboard is a PATA, dual-drive, FW 400/800, RAID 0/1 board, and the OWC enclosure is a finely made, Mac Pro/G5-style aluminum enclosure that shouldn't be wasted. 5. It's my time to waste.

  • Domain/lib class path issues

    Hello,
We are migrating one of our applications from Web Logic 8.1 to 10. The new instance is going to have 2 managed servers, under the web logic domain, hosting the server EAR as well as web WAR respectively. Now the application has certain jars that need to be available for the startup classes in both these modules. As Web Logic provides a feature to place the jars in the domain/lib so they are visible to both the applications, we have included the jars in the domain/lib directory. However, when the startup class loads, it is not able to access any of the classes that are part of the jars in the domain/lib folder! Instead, we are presented with a NoClassDefinitionFound error!!
I am writing to see if any one has any insight on what could be causing this and if this is doable in the first place!
    Thanks,
    SG

You are facing the problem of classloaders.
What is inside the ejb classloader, cannot be accessed by a sibling classloader or a parent classloader.
Thus, u need to package the home and remote interfaces inside the WAR.
As regards the utilities used by ejb and servlets, place them at a common location: the servers classpath. Again, exercise some caution. If u place the utility classes in server's class path, then the ejb and servlets can access theese utility classes, but the utility classes cannot access the servlets/ejb classes (ie, utility will be in parent class loader and it cannot access the classes in its child classloaders)

  • OS X from a Linux admin's perspective

I was tasked with getting an rsync daemon running on a lion box for backups from linux machines.
    Problems:
1.) The rsync version shipped with lion is buggy and outdated.
2.) Updating it requires a workaround solution using macports (which requires xcode.)
3.) Downloading xcode requires that I create an account on the "App Store" and find the box, hook up a monitor/keyboard/mouse, and enter my credit card information.
4.) The xcode install made me hunt down and kill some "itunes helper" process before it would continue.
5.) The installer just locked up for no apparent reason.
6.) It didn't lock up cleanly; I had to kill a few processes to be able to get it restarted.
7.) Command line invocation of xcode programs still resulted in an error that no Java runtime was installed (I confirmend that a java runtime was in fact installed.)
This is not a troll. I like apple stuff, but they seem to be totally failing as servers.

"Did you have a question?" <-- funny... useless, but funny.
Anyway, valid concerns Jarl, and while I can't answer to all of it I can share some notes.
The App Store issue is bad, both for servers and anyone who cares about things like that being forced on you. A lot of can't use it even if we wanted to. No real idea what to tell you there, but as far as I can tell you can move your XCode install to another machine without license issues. In fact, a lot of apps seem OK like that. That's how I get them on my machines which don't have App Store access.
Regarding outdated utilities: this is true and there is no default package manager for OSX either. However, you can use something like macports. I think even pkgsrc works for OSX.
However, my recommendation would be Homebrew. I find it much simpler than things like macports, but still very powerful. Its based on Ruby and its very easy to write your own package installers if its catalog does not have the program or the version that you want.
Xcode4: You can run xcodebuild from a command line, but I have not found a way yet to configure everything about a project without the GUI, and some of the application testing tools need a GUI. There is no technical reason for this, its just a glaring omission in XCode for now. I used Apple's feedback page to tell them what I expect from XCode and suggest that for any developer who wants this fixed. Still once you have a project set up, you might be able to then stage the build to other machines for building with xcodebuild on the command line.
I don't have tremendous time to deal with this, so I just use make files most of the time on OSX. If XCode really behaves badly, then I just install the GNU toolchain from a package system so I can get the code built.
One ugly solution you could try is to run VNC on the headless servers and export the display to a desktop machine, so you can use XCode and other tools that way from a single machine with a head. At least it keeps you from having to go put a head on your servers.

  • SharePoint Provider-hosted Apps - Expired OAuth Client Secret - Token Request failed

    Hi everyone,
in the past days, we have encountered authentication problems with our provider-hosted SharePoint apps.
The apps are not deployed through the Office Store, but through the specific organizational app-catalog of the SharePoint tenant of our customers.
Because the apps are provider-hosted, we had to register the OAuth client id and client secret properties of the app for accessing SharePoint resources from our app through the /_layouts/15/appregnew.aspx page.
Now, the OAuth client secret of our app seems to be expired and this causes the app to stop working.
    The exception stacktrace is:
"Token request failed. at Microsoft.IdentityModel.S2S.Protocols.OAuth2.OAuth2S2SClient.Issue(String securityTokenServiceUrl, OAuth2AccessTokenRequest oauth2Request) at OurProjectName.TokenHelper.GetAccessToken(String refreshToken, String targetPrincipalName,
String targetHost, String targetRealm) at OurProjectName.TokenHelper.GetAccessToken(SharePointContextToken contextToken, String targetHost) at OurProjectName.TokenHelper.GetClientContextWithContextToken(String targetUrl, String contextTokenString, String appHostUrl)"
We have already found this article regarding replacing expired client secret in SharePoint apps: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn726681(v=office.15).aspx
We have followed the provided steps, generated a new client secret and added it to the web.config file. The old client secret still stays in the file as "SecondaryClientSecret". Then, we executed the PowerShell script in order to register the new
client secret in our SharePoint tenant. Afterwards, the authentication works as expected.
The question is, whether we really have to do the steps for ALL of our customers if the client secret expires again? If the client secret is expired, do we have to execute the PowerShell script on all of our customers' tenants?
Maybe there is something we failed to notice...
Thanks for your help. Feel free to ask for further information if something is missing.
    Best regards,
    Dustin

    Hi Utilitas,
There is no easy way to batch updating Client Secret for each tenant. You may need to execute
the PowerShell script to update it as the above you post.

  • Neo2 defaut FSB frequency , live update and core center issues

    Hi,
This is the point : i bought a brand new 915P Neo2 last week,
out of the box results : Windows XP SP2 install is OK right
now, Graphics Card is working properly but the system is
    still unstable !
--> I decided to install MSI core center but while running
      pc freezes !
---> tested MSI live update, packets download is working
but the tool is still unstable and pc freezes .... while testing system...
---> tested a small utility (third party) from intel website
to compute P4 target and actual frequency
this tool reports that my p4 is running at 3.24 Ghz,
I double checked and found that defaut FSB was set to 810 Mhz
even after hardreset and bios safe mode, CPU is running at 203 Mhz * 16 = 3248 Mhz
I really dont understand why reset value has been set to 203 Mhz ?? why not 200 Mhz
    so MSI 915 P  defaut setting is 1 % overclocking strategy ?
the bios setup is not really taken into account ??
have you ever pointed out this problem with defaut frequency ? is this a problem ?
what is your opinion regarding MSI utilities ?
I have a lot of random pc freezes, too many for this board !
    all advices are welcome !!

I don't usually recommend bios updates, but you should seriously consider it if you can get the board to run stable.
Test your ram with  Memtest86. This should give you an indication if you can do a flash from DOS, plus it will test the ram for you.
Try setting your FSB to 201. On the 865/875 boards that will hold the setting. 203 is typical of MSI and other manufacturers, but it really isn't high enough to be considered overclocking, and certainly isn't high enough to cause problems. But it keeps them in the race with the others when the reviewer's determine which board is best by looking at the decimal places.
You don't list your power supply data. Power and ram are the usual culprits, with heat being another.

Here is a post I recently assembled for another similar question:
With the newer Intel Macs, you have to run a Classic emulator such as SheepShaver, which requires you to extract the Mac ROMs from your older Classic Mac and then install Mac OS 9.
A related program is Chubby Bunny, which comes bundled with all of that included (google the term "Classic-On-Intel v 4.0.1 chubby bunny").

  • Regarding runtime error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR and exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB

    Hi All,
I am loading a COPA cube from a DSO.
There are about 15million records to be loaded. every time i try loading the data, 1 or 2 Data packages gets stuck and finally it leads to a runtime error DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR with exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB.
When i checked in SM21 transaction code, i got the following message
    10:41:52 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     BY  O Deadlock occurred
10:41:53 BTC  018 500 AMRUKV                     BY  4 Database error 60 at INS access to table /BIC/FCSDV

In transaction code ST22 i got the following message:
    Runtime Errors         DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR
    Exception              CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    Date and Time          18.08.2008 10:41:54
    Short text
SQL error in the database when accessing a table.
    What happened?
The database system detected a deadlock and avoided it by rolling back
         your transaction.
    What can you do?
If possible (and necessary), repeat the last database transaction in the
hope that locking the object will not result in another deadlock.
Note which actions and input led to the error.
For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator
You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage
termination messages, in particular for long term reference.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
in  procedure "WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
The database system recognized that your last operation on the database
would have led to a deadlock.
Therefore, your transaction was rolled back
         to avoid this.
ORACLE always terminates any transaction that would result in deadlock.
The other transactions involved in this potential deadlock
are not affected by the termination.
    How to correct the error
Database error text........: "ORA-00060: deadlock detected while waiting for
         resource"
        Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/FCSDVD_C02 ]"
Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
        keywords:
        "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"
        "GPD3UMZD6V4YAKZAIWAOCYLV07Y" or "GPD3UMZD6V4YAKZAIWAOCYLV07Y"
        "WRITE_ICFACT"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
        1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
        (Unconverted)".
        3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
           In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
        Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
        4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"WRITE_ICFACT" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
        RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:
Can anybody suggest on what can be done?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards

    Hi ,
This is a table space issue....
u will be getting a Dump...as DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR check in ST22. in this DUMP if u scroll down u will find the table for which this is failing. Actually this is like some of the table related to the DSO is not having sufficient space to cary out the transaction. hence it is failing.
U can also see in DB02--> Deadlock....u will see that there is a deadlock for this table. So find the table from ST22 and ask ur basis team to increase the space for this table....
This can be solved only by increasing the space of the table...no other solution....ask help from ur basis team.
    Thanks

  • I have some questions regarding setting up a software RAID 0 on a Mac Pro

I have some questions regarding setting up a software RAID 0 on a Mac pro (early 2009).
These questions might seem stupid to many of you, but, as my last, in fact my one and only, computer before the Mac Pro was a IICX/4/80 running System 7.5, I am a complete novice regarding this particular matter.
A few days ago I installed a WD3000HLFS VelociRaptor 300GB in bay 1, and moved the original 640GB HD to bay 2. I now have 2 bootable internal drives, and currently I am using the VR300 as my startup disk. Instead of cloning from the original drive, I have reinstalled the Mac OS, and all my applications & software onto the VR300. Everything is backed up onto a WD SE II 2TB external drive, using Time Machine. The original 640GB has an eDrive partition, which was created some time ago using TechTool Pro 5.
The system will be used primarily for photo editing, digital imaging, and to produce colour prints up to A2 size. Some of the image files, from scanned imports of film negatives & transparencies, will be 40MB or larger. Next year I hope to buy a high resolution full frame digital SLR, which will also generate large files.
Currently I am using Apple's bundled iPhoto, Aperture 2, Photoshop Elements 8, Silverfast Ai, ColorMunki Photo, EZcolor and other applications/software. I will also be using Photoshop CS5, when it becomes available, and I will probably change over to Lightroom 3, which is currently in Beta, because I have had problems with Aperture, which, until recent upgrades (HD, RAM & graphics card) to my system, would not even load images for print. All I had was a blank preview page, and a constant, frozen "loading" message - the symbol underneath remained static, instead of revolving!
It is now possible to print images from within Aperture 2, but I am not happy with the colour fidelity, whereas it is possible to produce excellent, natural colour prints using its "minnow" sibling, iPhoto!
My intention is to buy another 3 VR300s to form a 4 drive Raid 0 array for optimum performance, and to store the original 640GB drive as an emergency bootable back-up. I would have ordered the additional VR300s already, but for the fact that there appears to have been a run on them, and currently they are out of stock at all, but the more expensive, UK resellers.
I should be most grateful to receive advice regarding the following questions:
    QUESTION 1:
I have had a look at the RAID setting up facility in Disk Utility and it states: "To create a RAID set, drag disks or partitions into the list below".
If I install another 3 VR300s, can I drag all 4 of them into the "list below" box, without any risk of losing everything I have already installed on the existing VR300?
Or would I have to reinstall the OS, applications and software again?
I mention this, because one of the applications, Personal accountz, has a label on its CD wallet stating that the Licence Key can only be used once, and I have already used it when I installed it on the existing VR300.
    QUESTION 2:
I understand that the failure of just one drive will result in all the data in a Raid 0 array being lost.
Does this mean that I would not be able to boot up from the 4 drive array in that scenario?
Even so, it would be worth the risk to gain the optimum performance provide by Raid 0 over the other RAID setup options, and, in addition to the SE II, I will probably back up all my image files onto a portable drive as an additional precaution.
    QUESTION 3:
Is it possible to create an eDrive partition, using TechTool Pro 5, on the VR300 in bay !?
Or would this not be of any use anyway, in the event of a single drive failure?
    QUESTION 4:
Would there be a significant increase in performance using a 4 x VR300 drive RAID 0 array, compared to only 2 or 3 drives?
    QUESTION 5:
If I used a 3 x VR300 RAID 0 array, and installed either a cloned VR300 or the original 640GB HD in bay 4, and I left the Startup Disk in System Preferences unlocked, would the system boot up automatically from the 4th. drive in the event of a single drive failure in the 3 drive RAID 0 array which had been selected for startup?
Apologies if these seem stupid questions, but I am trying to determine the best option without foregoing optimum performance.

    Well said.
    Steps to set up RAID
Setting up a RAID array in Mac OS X is part of the installation process. This procedure assumes that you have already installed Mac OS 10.1 and the hard drive subsystem (two hard drives and a PCI controller card, for example) that RAID will be implemented on. Follow these steps:
    1. Open Disk Utility (/Applications/Utilities).
    2. When the disks appear in the pane on the left, select the disks you wish to be in the array and drag them to the disk panel.
    3. Choose Stripe or Mirror from the RAID Scheme pop-up menu.
    4. Name the RAID set.
    5. Choose a volume format. The size of the array will be automatically determined based on what you selected.
    6. Click Create.
Recovering from a hard drive failure on a mirrored array
    1. Open Disk Utility in (/Applications/Utilities).
    2. Click the RAID tab. If an issue has occurred, a dialog box will appear that describes it.
    3. If an issue with the disk is indicated, click Rebuild.
    4. If Rebuild does not work, shut down the computer and replace the damaged hard disk.
    5. Repeat steps 1 and 2.
    6. Drag the icon of the new disk on top of that of the removed disk.
    7. Click Rebuild.

What you put on those volumes is of course up to you and easy to do.
A system really only needs to be backed up "as needed" like before you add or update or install anything.
/Users can be backed up hourly, daily, weekly schedule
    Media files as needed.
    Things that hurt performance:
    Page outs
Spotlight - disable this for boot drive and 'scratch'
SCRATCH: Temporary space; erased between projects and steps.

Disk drives are the slowest component, so tackling that has always made sense. Easy way to make a difference. More RAM only if it will be of value and used. Same with more/faster processors, or graphic card.

Regarding the internet breech as seen on the news.  What advice is Apple giving to its computer, iPad, and phone users?

That does not affect any OS X client or iOS, and there is no action for you or Apple to take.
Ignore hyperventilating popular media outlets that thrive by promoting fear and discord with entertainment products arrogantly presented as "news". Learn what real threats actually exist and how to arm yourself against them:
The most serious threat to your data security is phishing. To date, most of these attempts have been pathetic and are easily recognized, but that is likely to change in the future as criminals become more clever.
OS X viruses do not exist, but intentionally malicious or poorly written code, created by either nefarious or inept individuals, is nothing new.
Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don’t want it any more.
If you elect to use "anti-virus" software, familiarize yourself with its limitations and potential to cause adverse effects, and apply the principle immediately preceding this one.
Most such utilities will only slow down and destabilize your Mac while they look for viruses that do not exist, conveying no benefit whatsoever - other than to make you "feel good" about security, when you should actually be exercising sound judgment, derived from accurate knowledge, based on verifiable facts.
