Regarding Jobwork Processs in SAP

Hi Experts,
Consider a Scenario where the customer is sending the Material for EXAMPLE- Tiles from Europe, which needs to be Polished & we are sending them to get polished & after polishing we are sending them back to the customer .
Kindly let me know the process flow ,how to map in SAP.
What will be the Movement type used in both While Inwarding the Material & While Outwarding the Material ?Also while sending the material for polishing the Material code is supposed "A" & while sending it back  to the custmer the Material code is "B". What will be the configuration with tax Structure & Excise Structure ?.
Regards.
Rohan Sawant.

Hi
This you can configure this way,
1. Create a new order type for jobwork
2. craete two materials for this scenario one material for inword one material for outword.. to bringing the customer material inside we need to treate as customer returns, so craete two materials and bring first materila with Ren item categry 351 movement type..it should not relavent for price and billing..
3. after creation of REN dellivery for first material
4. goto change mode of sales order and enter 2 line item with other material(outgoing Material code) use item category as normal Tan and u can maintain pricing delivery and billing..

  • Template doc regarding Gap analysis of SAP BI -MM

    Hi Gurus,
Can any one send a template doc regarding Gap analysis of SAP BI -MM

    HI,
    Gap Analysis:
In simple terms: Gap means small cracks. In SAP world or in Information Technology world, gap analysis is the study of the differences between two different information systems or applications( ex; existing system or legacy system with Client and new is SAP), often for the purpose of determining how to get from one state to a new state. A gap is sometimes spoken of as "the space between where we are and where we want to be."
Gap Analysis is undertaken as a means of bridging that space. Actual Gap Analysis is time consuming and it plays vital role in Business Blueprintstage.
A through Gap Analysis will identify the gaps between how the business operates and its needs against what the package can can't do. For each gap there will be one of three outcomes which must be recorded and actioned,
    1. GAP must be closed and customised software can be developed
    2. GAP must be closed but software cannot be written therefore a workaround is required
    3. GAP does not need to be closed.
A point worth mentioning here is that at time people confuse between user-exits and Gap Analysis. User exits are standard gate ways provided by SAP to exit the standard code and we can write our own code with the help of ABAP workbench, its not new functionality which we are trying to build in sap but its slight enhancement within the same code.
Gap analysis is start point of Realization and once business Blueprint is finished we have to find the realization of sap system for client requirment and there will be certain gaps when compared to system fit. Those gaps can be closed either by re-engineering of business process to fit with SAP or we have to use USER exits in case of small deviations or complete enhancements with the help of ABAP to fit with the SAP system.
The Gaps can differ from company to company. Most commonly, however, missing functionality is industry-specific.

  • CUP - Issue regarding creation of New SAP ID in CUP.

    System :  SAP GRC 5.3 SP 12..
We have requirement where in we need to design a workflow for creation of New SAP ID.
The Naming convention followed for SAP ID is FIRST LETTER of FIRST NAME and LAST NAME with maximum 8 characters.
    For Eg
JOHN SMITH would have SAP ID as JSMITH
JERRY SMITH would  have SAP ID as  JSMITH01
The requirement here is when user fill the REQUEST FORM for NEW User ID there is field where in the requestor need to put the desired SAP ID,
Can a validation be set OR Logic be written so that user can put the SAP ID as per the naming convention..?
Also , any other solution as to how the situtation can be handled in CUP...
    Regards.
    Ajit

    Hi Ajit,
Yes, you can maintain the user ID in the Active Directory. User id will be now auto populated in the request form, from Active Directory when  we data Source is LDAP -Actice directory. So when user login to end user form to create a request, It's all information( user details + manager details ) will fetched from Active Directory.
It is not possible to change userid in later stage of approval in the request.
You can have security as final stage and guide them to create user manually as per naming convention.
Make auto provisioning OFF in CUP
    Kind Regards,
    Srinivasan

  • Regarding RFC Communication from SAP R/3 to SAP J2EE Engine 6.40

    Hello,
We have an application deployed in SAP J2EE engine 6.20. From SAP R3 (SAP R/3 version is 6.4C), We are communicating to the application deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 using RFC protocol. EJB module (Deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20) which is being invoked from a Function Module using RFC protocol has the same name as the Function Module name. We were able to communicate to SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 this way.
Currently, I have deployed the same application in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40.  I have followed the same procedure which i have used while depolying and working with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20. But, it is not working, and i was not able to communicate to SAP J2EE 6.40, the same way i did in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Please let me know whether the procedure for communicating to SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 has changed in comparison with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Also,Any pointers regarding RFC and JCO implementation in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 willl be helpful.
    Thank you.

  • Regarding InfoCube restore in SAP BW system ( on IBM i )

    Hi All,
Need your advise for restore of InfoCube ( logical data corruption in PROD).
So I have query regarding the restore of an infocube from BW system. Business need restore one of the infocube into production bw system, due to some issue. How I can achive only infocube restore on DB2 on i for SAP. SAP BW expert can advise about best approach from SAP BW way. Thanks in advance.

    Hello Raja,
please check first if you can rebuild the cube from any internal source (DSO, PSA or other cubes) of your system. Well, it's more likely that you do not have all the data available anymore.
Another relatively easy way is to create a clone of your current BW system based on the last DB backup (you have to use a different SID and/or a different host). After configuring the clone, RFC and transport configuration you will be able to transport that cube or to load the data again from this new remote data source. This requires to have enough disk capacity to hold this BW clone.
After all, this work will not be covered by SAP's Develoment Support but is consulting (e.g. as offered by Volker).

  • Regarding function changes in sap backend system

    Hi Team,
I would like to check if we can alter functions and its actions/permissions in SAP back end and transport it across landscape.
This is needed as we customize the rule set and its difficult to validate the risk analysis changes directly in production when its made via nwbc.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Anil

    Hi Anil
If you maintain a Function definition then you are updating those tables (Function to Action (transactions) and Function to Permission (Authorisations) tables). So the answer is YES
If you are asking if you should maintain directly in Production Vs Transport then the answer would be DEPENDS - what is your company process
If you are asking if you can maintain the SAP delivered rule set (activate via BC SETS) then the answer is DEPENDS. Again, it comes back to your company business process. You would then need to consider how you manage any future recommendations from SAP if they update their rule sets
But again, those tables is where you store function definitions so of course you can maintain them.

  • Regarding JDBC Adapter in SAP XI

    Hi
I have done one scenario in SAP XI using JDBC Lookup it is working fine thanks for all who were helped me ......
I need a clarification on following
    What is
    Generic Lookup API
    Special Lookup API
and while i am  configuring i have given
    Persistence : Local
    Confilct Resolution : Redo
In what situation we will give  Presistence : Local and in what situation we will give Persistence : Database means i need to know where we will use LOCAL and where we will use DATABASE
and what is the difference between REDO and ERROR...........?
In Message Protocol we have two protocols
          XML SQL Format
          Native XML Format
what is the difference between these two
I have gone through some blogs which i got in my previous posts but i am not able to understand clearly..... can any one clarify my doubts please........?
    Best Regards
    Ravi Shanakar B

    Generic Lookup API
In the case of generic access, before executing the lookup, developers first need to both build the payload that the adapter expects and parse the result payload themselves.
To access an application system generically, developers use the SystemAccessor class. For generic calls, developers of a method must pass a stream with the payload, which is then sent to the adapter. The result of the call is a payload object, which you can use to both read the payload as a stream and parse the payload.
The generic lookup API is part of the mapping API (see LookupService class in the Javadoc documentation). For more information about these APIs, see SAP Developer Network at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/javadocs
You can obtain the schema to call an RFC by simply importing the RFC into the Integration Repository. (See Importing IDocs and RFCs.)
    Special Lookup API
For access using the special lookup API, developers do not require any knowledge of the structure of the payload. Instead, they pass the API string commands that are to be executed in the application system called.
Currently, there is one special lookup API for the JDBC adapter. To use this API, developers use the DataBaseAccessor class instead of the SystemAccessor class.
The special lookup API is part of the mapping API (see the getDataBaseAccessor method of the LookupService class in the Javadoc documentation). For more information about these APIs, see SAP Developer Network at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/javadocs
    XML SQL Format
Table values can be inserted, updated, or deleted in one or more tables. In the database, stored procedures can be called using transfer parameters. In the case of synchronous queries, results from database queries or return values of stored procedures can also be transferred.
    Native SQL String
An arbitrary SQL statement is expected as the message content. This statement is transferred unaltered to the database for processing

  • Archiving: Regarding Archive File in SAP.

    Hi,
Description: Once a Archive Write Program is run, the data from the DB tables is written to a Archive file.
Problem: Could anyone please explain me, <b>where exactly is the Archive file stored And where exactly can archive files be created by SAP. </b>
Analysis: From my analysis it seems that archive file is stored on the Application serever. Are there any other places an Archive file can be created.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raghavendra Goutham P.

    Hi,
    Thanks Gopi for your reply.
I have done some more work on this, The Archive file creation will take place depending on the customisation in Transaction AOBJ, where logical fiel name is specified. Depending on this Logical file customisation in FILE transaction, the Srchive File creation location is determined.
Anyone can provide their valuable inputs on this topic.

  • Regarding XK02 transaction in SAP ECC 6.0 Version

    Hi All,
I am working with an object which calls a transaction <b>XK02</b> to modify the name and contact details fields in  Version <b>SAP ECC 6.0</b>.
The problem is that, when the transaction is run manually and saved or when an SHDB Recording is created, the data is getting updated.
But when the transaction is called from a program or when the SHDB Recording which is already created is run, the data is not getting updated in Version SAP ECC 6.0.
The data is getting updated properly when it is done in Version SAP 4.6b.
Central Address Management System is used here.
Can anybody please help me in this regard?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vaitheeswaran.

    Hi Prabhu,
The call transaction statement is running smoothly. The SY-SUBRC is 0 for this.
The thing is, there is a Check Box at the end of the screen called 'Use Central Address Management' when the SHDB is created.
If this is checked, the contact details are stored in ADRC and LFA1 tables and only in LFA1 if not checked.
In the new version SAP ECC 6.0, the data should also get populated in the ADRC table.
There is a slight change in the logic in SAP ECC 6.0 version.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vaitheeswaran.

In the output i have multiple line items, the data will carry upto 3 pages.
Now In the output First page data is printing correctly.
In the second page all the windows are carried forward to print all the data correctly except in MAIN WINDOW.
In Second page in MAIN Window i have ITEM HEADER which i want to print on every page as it is printing in First page of output, but i am not been able print ITEM HEADER though i am able to print all the ITEM DETAILS correctly on every page.

    Hi Shaik,
If you are only printing Item Details in the Main Window, why don't you create a saperate window just above your main window for Item Headers.
Hope this should solve your problem or Please elobarate your query.
    Thanks,
