Regarding LSMW Transport

Hi Friends,
How LSMW is transported to other environments,whether it will be transported using transport request, then how to create a transport request for LSMW,kindly inform the process ASAP

Hey,
Use IMPORT & EXPORT Option, that's easy to transport to the another system. We no need to follow the TP Sequence.
Steps: Goto Extras -> Export Project - Save in Local.
Goto the Production or Quality System to import.
Goto Extras -> Import Projects -> Select the file from local.

LSMW - Transport

Hi Guru's,
I created a LSMW in the development client and i was able to load data. I transfered the LSMW to Quality environment and it looked like it transfered okie. All the mapping, source fields everything looks just as in developments.
I started to load the data i was able to get to the step Convert data then i got a error message stating
Syntax error in program /1CADMC/SAP_LSMW_CONV_00000003
in include /1CADMC/SAP_LSMW_CONV_00000003
in line 27
For type "C", a maximum length specification of 65535 is allowed.
So i went to SE38 called up 1CADMC/SAP_LSMW_CONV_00000003
It looks like in development the program automatically changed the length of the fields but in Quality it's not.
I wonder if i transported it correctly - can someone please tell me how i can transfer the LSMW correctly?? or how i can ix this current issue?

from what i gather is, ur Transport has moved in Quality system . However, the character Conversion si still aint working fine in Quality system where as it works fine in the development system.
Kindly do the following checks:
-> Test the LSMW in dev to ensure it works fine there
-> Ensure the lsmw transport as mentioned in the post above is done correctly
-> Chcek if the Dev and Quality systems are of the same version

LSMW transport problem !!

Hi ,
I have transported a LSMW project.but in test and production system the LSMWs are NOT working fine.They are behaving strangely rather.
One LSMW is picking up the screen for another !!!
I chekced the tables and they are fine in all the 3 systemthe programs used by the LSMWs
are not the same (these are system generated programs).
Any idea why this is happening and how to fix this ?

Dear,
In LSMW application tool bar, click USER MENU, and check GENERATE READ DATA PROGRAM and GENERATE CONVERT DATA PROGRAM.
Then in the main screen execute these two steps could fix.

SNP-- LSMW-- Transportation Lane

Hi,
When we are doing LSMW for Transporation Lane creation in APO SNP, system unable to recongize the Pop-Up screen, due to that its not updating record.
It showing all values after converted data, but, when system unable to feed the value to populate the sub screen.
Kindly guide to overcome this problem.

Hi Venkat,
LSMW does not recognize pop up, to avoid the pop-up you need to check the flags fix trsp duration and fix trsp distance and enter a value for both (dummy value in case you dont require any of these fields), the pop-up generate proposal will not appear.
But I think creating transportation lane using BAPI is a better and faster option in case you have got large number of lanes.

4.4.2.2.3     Importing Vendor Master Data
Use
The purpose of this activity is to import vendor master data via LSMW using Batch Input.
Prerequisites
You have imported the LSMW project BP_AIO into your system.
Specifying LSMW Project Details
1.     Access the activity using the following transaction code:
Transaction Code     LSMW
2.     Confirm the information message Welcome to the Legacy System Migration Workbench.
3.     On the Legacy System Migration Workbench screen, enter the following values:
Field name     Description     User action and values     Notes
PROJECT     Name of data transfer project      BP_AIO     More than one subproject can be assigned to a project.
SUBPROJ     Specifies the name of the subproject     MM     A subproject can have an unlimited number of objects
OBJECT     Object name. An object corresponds to a business object.     VENDORS_FINAL     An object is assigned to a subproject
4.     Choose   Continue. The LSM Workbench: BP_AIO MM, VENDORS_FINAL screen is displayed.
You can change the default view from display mode to change mode. To do this, choose Double Click=Display.
Specifying an External File
If an external file has already been specified, only change the file name of the existing file. Do not add or create any additional files.
1.     In the LSM Workbench: BP_AIO, MM, VENDORS_FINAL screen, start the process step Specify Files and go into change mode, if you are in display mode.
2.     In the LSM Workbench; Specify Files (Change) view, go to the structure item Legacy Data - On the PC (Frontend). Double-click on the object file entry that is located directly under Legacy Data - On the PC (Frontend). The File on Front End: Maintain Properties entry screen is displayed. Enter the following values:
Field name     Description     User action and values     Notes
File     LSMW data file name     Specify the path and name of the external data file or browse for the external data file
Name     Object type     Specify the name of the object type
File Contents          Select the radio button
Data for One Source Structure
Separators          Tabulator     Check file for separators, if necessary
File Structure          Choose Field Names at start of File
File Type          Select the radio button
Record End Marker (Text File)
Code Page          Select ASCII
3.     Choose Continue, save your file settings and choose Back.
Assigning a File
Omit this activity if an external file has already been specified and assigned.
1.     To assign an external file, double-click on the process step Assign File.
2.     In the LSM Workbench: Assign File view, select the first line highlighted in yellow and choose   Assignment. The file you have specified in the previous step is assigned. Repeat this for each entry highlighted in yellow until you have assigned the file assigned to each structure.
Importing Data from Files
1.     To import the data from the assigned files, double-click on the process step Import Data.
2.     Choose   Execute without entering any values. Go back to the Process Step list
Converting Imported Data
1.     To convert the imported data, double-click on the process step Convert Data.
2.     Choose   Execute without entering any data. Go back to the Process Step list.
Creating Batch Input Session
1.     Double-click the step Create Batch Input Session.
2.     In the Batch Input interface for Vendors screen, choose Execute, confirm the messages which are displayed. If a batch input session was created successfully the message Session 1 session name VENDORS_FINA was created is displayed.
Running Batch Input Session
1.     Double-click the step Run Batch Input Session.
2.     On the Batch Input: Session Overview screen, select the session you have created in the step before. If the batch input session was created correctly, New is displayed in the column Status.
3.     Choose Process.
4.     In the dialog box Process Session vendors_Fina, choose a processing mode.
5.     Choose Process.
6.     In case of foreground processing, select Enter till the data is imported.
7.     In case of background processing, the system message 1 session transferred to background processing is displayed.
8.     In case of errors, solve them and run through the process again.
Possible problems might be:
     Configuration does not fulfill the master data requirements (CATT and manual processing of the transaction would also fail)
     External master data file is not stored as tab separated file
     Other data inconsistencies
Result
You have created vendor master data.

Regarding LSMW upload for General Tasks

I am trying to upload a task header & item data i.e.PLKO & PLPO.
For that I am using the standard LSMW object 0170 which is called <b>Routing</b>. But at the time of creating Batch Input session i am getting error
No profile with entry tool for task list A 1 in session MPLAN_LOAD.
So can anybody explain what is this all about.
Or is there any convinient way apart from BDC to create General task along with multiple operations.

You can try to load data using the IDOC method
Message type : ROUTING_CREATE
IDOC method works well for many complicated loads.

in their production system.but if i look into it one z transport layer was defined and if i search for F4 i am not able to find that Trasport layer. how can it be possible to That package without existing Trasport layer.

problem is regarding SAP SPI provided by HP .
i am working on CRM 2007 upgrade project .in CRM 4.0 SPI package is present.
but in this i am confused.
as All dictionary objects , FM are starting with customer name space i.e Z---
even package they are using is ZSPI for which Transport layer is ZLPO.
but if i search for F4 i am not able to find ZLPO.
and comment in FM is

so shall i go for manual creation of these object .

Regarding table transport

dear all ,
i have copied a table and activated and used it in a program and transported both program along with tables to quality
. i got error RC = 8.(some domains and data elements not activated). i have again checked and activated all fields and data elemnts and domains , assigned it to a new request and transported again.
i got the same error. RC = 8.
what might be the problem and any altenate solutin becouse there are more than 200 fields in these tables,any help wud be gratefull.

With complex developments you have to be very accurate about your transport requests, so that all relevant objects make it into the next system in the landscape.
1) import transport request(s)
2) if RC = 8 or worse, scan the transport logs for all errors
3) correct the errors in DEV, create new transports containing missing objects, etc.
4) go back to 1)
Sometimes there are circular dependencies between objects, then it can help to import all relevant transport requests again at once. If the number of transports becomes too large, you can combine all objects in those transports into a single one via tx SE03.

In case of stock transport order at the time of Goods Issue system takes material price from PO because of the condition type P101 has the value 'Internal price'.Is there any way to change this like,at the time of GI system will adopt the PO price(We are giving price manually in stock transport PO) & what is the effect of any price difference occur between material price & PO price.

the step of start idoc generation its showing that 'no partner exists with the name type'.and how to create lsmw file port.

Regarding STOCK TRANSPORT ORDER - (351 to 101)

Dear Freinds,
Stock transport order (STO) is created by user for 100 eas in plant 2000.
supplying plant 1000
receiving plant 2000
now goods issue against this STO has been done by supplying plant 1000 with movemen type 351 for 100 eas
but actually only 50 eas are shifted from supplyng plant 1000 to receiving plant 2000, so goods receipt document with movement type 101 for only 50 eas has been posted in plant 2000.
further recieving plant dont want to recieve the remaining 50 eas.
here the situation is that STO is in open status for 50 eas. we need to close this STO.
recieving plant dont want to recieve more quantities where as supplying plant cannot cancel the good issue document-351 for 100 eas.
how to close this STO please assist in this regards..

Hi,
In this case first you have to cancel the material document created for movement type 101 for 50 no's. and cancel the material document created for movement type 351 for 100 no's.
Now you can do the 351 movement for 50 no's and do the 101 for 50 no's.

LSMW Transport Request

Can we Transport the LSMW project from one client to another (DEV ---> QAS ---> PRD). Can it be possible or I have to creat LSMW project on Same client ( Production). Please correct me.

In detail... U can go to extras---> export project.After that select the project,subproject and object which u wanted to export.In case of recording type LSMW u will also have to select the corresponding recording used and then export into ur system.
Now for example after exporting from DEV if u need to import to ACC then open ACC server and go to tcode LSMW and go to EXTRAS---> import projects and select the file that was exported to ur system from DEV. Now select the necessary project, subproject and object and recording ( if necessary) and click on import.
Note: if there is already existing project,subproject and object with same name in ACC, it will be over written.

Problem regarding xi transport

Hi ,
I have individual SLD for each development DQA and production .
Let me start by what I know about initial SLD setup for transport.
If I am to transport from development sld to QA sld.
Do the technical and busniess system in development ( Td Bd ) sld have to created in QA sld as well so that qa sld has Td Bd Tqa and Bqa and then export from development sld and import in qa sld.
or
QA sld can have Techinal system and business system (Tqa Bqa ) and these can be specified in as transport targets in business system in development sld.
and then just export from development sld and import in qa sld.
or
development sld has both Td Bd and Tqa Bqa and so does Qa sld Td Bd
Tqa Bqa and then export from Development sld and import into qa sld.
Kindly do not post any link to some weblog as I am not able to open them here .
Besides chances are I have already gone through those links .

This is a confusing thing and it really isn't spelled out well in the documentation/notes.
You need to have all of the Bus and Tech systems in all SLDs. The SLDs essentially should be identical. For most of the Bus and Tech systems you can export and import them, but you can't do this for the XI entries which you'll need in all SLDs as well. You have 2 options here:
Option 1:
1) Make sure all SLDs have same model version and content version.
2) Fully backup all SLDs.
3) Switch the SLD for qa and prd to the dev SLD temporarily so that the XI entries are made in the dev SLD.
4) Setup an SLD bridge from qa and prd to dev SLD to send auto-registered qa and prd Bus and Tech systems (R/3) to dev SLD.
5) Full export of dev SLD. Import to qa, import to prd.
Options 2:
1) Make sure all SLDs have same model version and content version.
2) Fully backup all SLDs.
3) Full export of prd SLD. Import to dev.
4) Full export of qa SLD. Import to dev.
5) Full export of dev SLD. Import to qa and prd.
I use option 2 and it has always worked fine for me.
I would also recommend going to 1 or 2 SLDs for all systems to simplify things. If 1 isn't possible (usually because you want to separate PRD from other systems) then try to go to 2 SLDs, 1 for DEV/QA and one for PRD.
