I have One Doubt.
When I Stared SAP GUI Window Through Logon Pad, Iam Getting 001 Client As Default Client.
But I want to Display 100 Client as Default Client in that Place.
Please Help me

I Did This Through SU01---> Selected Default Profile
--->>Extended Maintenance Radio Button.
Changed 'login/system_client' From 001 To 100.
Then Click on Copy Button. It Asked For Save, I saved it.
But Later I Logon in to the window means iam getting 001 Client only.
If i Went for SU01 Later Means 100 Client is Displaying in 'login/system_client' .
Please help me

How can I ensure that Printing Defaults are reset on the clients?
Hi,
we have a setup with a Windows Server 2008 print cluster and a mix of Windows XP and Windows 7 clients. On all clients the users are local admins.
When the install a new print queue the Printing Preferences at the client is set to the "correct" values, meaning the values that we have set on the server. But if they change the settings (e.g. from Black/White to Colour) the setting is kept even after
the application is closed.
Either things have changed over time or the issue is caused by letting the users be local admins, but I beleive that the settings where previously set back to defaults once the application, from where the settings where changed, was closed.
Can someone please tell me how to ensure that users do get the servers Printing Default forced on to them and that settings changed within an application is lost when closing the application?

What follows it's not exactly what David asked for (application-aware reset of printing defaults).
I ended up here searching for a way to refresh printing defaults on clients without having users to remove/add printers manually. I hope this helps someone.
A viable solution might be to create a login vbs script deleting -> adding all network printers currently installed on the user profile. Default printer setting is not affected.
Tested on Windows 7 x64 clients and 2008 R2 print server.

Can the lifetime of default route (in RA) to the client be renewed?
The question is that why the "lifetime" for the "ipv6 nd ra" is set maximum 1800sec? It equals to just 30mins.
If this timer is expired, how to renew the RA to the client? If the renewal is not possible, the client will loss the default
route information forever. What is the solution for client not loss the default route (except the manual configuration)?

It's not really a lifetime at such. A non zero value means this router can be considered as a default-gateway.
From RFC 4861:
Router Lifetime
16-bit unsigned integer. The lifetime associated
with the default router in units of seconds. The
field can contain values up to 65535 and receivers
should handle any value, while the sending rules in
Section 6 limit the lifetime to 9000 seconds. A
Lifetime of 0 indicates that the router is not a
default router and SHOULD NOT appear on the default
router list. The Router Lifetime applies only to
the router's usefulness as a default router; it
does not apply to information contained in other
message fields or options. Options that need time
limits for their information include their own
lifetime fields.

Send 10g reports directly to the default printer of the client machine

We are using Oracle DS10g and Forms & Reports service 10g. When the user clicks on the report button I want to send the report directly to the default printer installed in the client machine. In this case the printer name may vary and I cannot parameterize the DESNAME parameter. How do i know what is the default printer? Any clue as to how can achieve the desired result?
ThanksIf you use webutil in your shop. You can use the CLient_win_api_environment.read_registry to get the default printer. In the run_report_object, desname gets set to the default printer.

RMI call back - How to refer to the client project from the server project?
Hi, I am working on an RMI assignment which basically needs me to use the RMI call back for the server to notify the clients.
I have 2 projects , one for the client and another for the server.
In the client project, I have a client interface and the main client class implements this interface.
In the server project, I have a server interface and a class that implements this interface.
I can use the server interface in the client project's code by adding the server project in the path of the client project. it lets me use the server interface in the code if I put "import.." statement.
But the issue is I can not do the same to access the client interface from within the server project's code. Since that will be a circular reference, the compiler does not let me use the client interface from within the server's code. This is putting me in a great difficulty and I am stuck here. What should I do so that I can use the client interface and the compiler won't complain?

Regards.. jsLet me explain what I tried: I manually generated stub class of the client using the Eclipse IDE as mentioned in my previous message. The StockMSClient_Stub.class got created in my client project.
The common project has the 2 interfaces - one from the client and one from the server.
I have added reference to the common project from the client and server projects to use the interfaces.
With the above mentioned in place, when I run the server project, the registry binding of the server objects is very fine. But I am getting error in the applet at the line where I am passing the client object to the method provided by the server interface. when i start external debugging the rfc request comes in over client 011 but when the abap code is called the client ist suddenly 001. can i see exactly when this change is happening. somebody already refered me to there following notes.

The client againt which you are synchronizing cannot be seen in the inbound container received in the middleware. You mentioned that the client is on SP9. What does this mean. Are you on MI2.5 SP9 or MI 7.0 SP9. If you are MI7.0 SP9 then you need to be upgrade to either MI7.0 SPS10 or SPS11. If you cant upgrade then you have to wait until this fix is released in the next patch on SP09. If you are on MI2.5 SP9, then i am afraid you are on a very very old SP.

URGENT : Reading a cert sent by the client

I am using Apache/Jserv with JSSE 1.0.2 and JDK1.2.2
No problems if I connect to a https site and retrieve the content through a servlet.
When someone connects to my servlet through https protocol, then the client needs to send his certificate to my server. Then I need to read the contents of the certificate in my servlet code.
Once I get the certificate I can use X509Certificate class to extract all the information.
But how should I get certificate sent by the client in my code.
Please help me...I am very sorry for the delay...
I have solved the problem.
Here is the solution for this problem.
I have used Oracle's implementation of Java SSL. The following three
files http_client.jar, javax-ssl-1_2.jar, jssl-1_2.jar
should be in CLASSPATH.
In httpd.conf add
(1) SSLVerifyClient require

verify client certificate - typically a file called CA-bundle.crt. */

That means the result cache is disabled. You need to set it to a non-zero value. That is the maximum ammount of memory, in bytes, the database will allocate on the shared pool to dedicate it to the result cache for all requests.
By the way, OCI_RESULT_CACHE_MAX_SIZE is optional. By default the sessions will have the maximum size they can occupy on the cache determined by CLIENT_RESULT_CACHE parameter, the client (OCI) side parameters override that.
result_cache_mode MANUAL
Another thing to consider is RESULT_CACHE_MODE in MANUAL, that will cause only the statements with the RESULT_CACHE hint on it to be cached on the result cache. You can also set result cache to mode FORCE on specific tables with alter table command.

I know that there is Oracle Database server software but what is this Oracle Database Client. Is there any need to Install it on client machine as client mostly access the database use application software mainly develope in Java or C# etc. So, what is it need.
and one more question regarding SQL *Plus. Is it client process or server process as I learnent that it is client process and if it is. Is it can be part of Oracle Database Client. and can we seperately install the Oracle Database Client on machine on which DB server is aslo Installed.

Danish KamranCertainly you are not mentioning the Oracle version, it is very important. Whenever you post a question reference the oracle version. There is a disk known as the oracle Client (10gR1, 10gR2 and 11gR1), this disk contains all required software to setup a client environment. If you are working with clients such as Java or C# you must have either the jdcb client driver (Jjava) or the ODBC software to access the database, this is included in the Oracle client disk.
Instant Client
There are other options for the client, you can install the instant client, this option allows you to install only the drivers without the Oracle utilities, this is particular useful if you are deploying third party applications and you don't want to install the complete client disk.
SQLPlus
SQL*Plus is a client application that runs on the client side, when you open a session it requests an Oracle server process to be executed on the server side. Once the session has been successfully setup then you can issue SQL commands from the client side. You should be aware that even if you launch SQL*Plus from the server side you will be working with two processes, one for the client and the second one for the oracle server. This connection mode is also known as dedicated server, but you should be aware that there is another connection mode known as shared server, I won't explain it since it already goes off topic.
