Regarding MOS settings

How can one restrict a by viewing his/her particular SR from others in MOS atleast can an Admin has this functionality ?

By default, access to SRs which are created under certain CSI number will not be visible to those with different CSI number (except for Oracle support).

  • Doubt regarding  ALE SETTINGS in IDOC scenario.

    Hi Friends,
            I have some doubts regarding ALE settings for IDOC scenarios,  can anyone  please clarify my doubts.
    For exmaple take IDOC to FILE scenario
    The knowledge i got from SDN is --
    One need to do at the  R3 side is  --- RFC DESTINATION (SM59)  for the XI system.
                                                       --- TRFC PORT  for sending IDOC  to the  XI system
                                                       --- CREATING LOGICAL SYSTEM
                                                       --- CREATING PARTNER PROFILE
                   at the XI side is  --- RFC  Destination ( For SAP sender system)
                                           --- CREATING  PORT  for receiving IDOC from the SAP sending system(IDX1).
    1. Do we create two logical systems for both Sender ( R3 system ) and Receiver( XI system ) in R3 system itself or in XI system or in both systems we create these logical systems? Is this a mandatory step in doing ALE configurations?
    In IDOC to IDOC scenario-------
      2.  Do we craete two RFC destinations in XI system? One RFC DESTINATION for the Sender R3 system and another RFC DESTINATION for the Receiver R3 System? and do we create RFC DESTINATION for the XI system in receiver R3 system? If not.....y we don't create like this........Please give me some clarity on this.............
      3.  If we use IDOC adapter ,since IDOC adapter resides on the ABAP STACK ,we don't need sender communication channel ,for the similar reason----
    y we r creating receiver communication channel in the case of FILE to IDOC scenario?
      4. Can any one please provide me the ALE settings for IDOC to FILE scenario,
                                                                                    FILE to IDOC scenario,
    IDOC to IDOC scenario individually.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ramana.

    hi,
    1. Yes, we create two logical systems for both Sender ( R3 system ) and Receiver( XI system ) in R3 system itself and
    it is a mandatory step in doing ALE configurations
    2. We create 1 RFC destination each in R3 and XI.
        R3 RFC destination points to Xi and
        XI RFC destination  points to R3
    3 We need to create Communication Channel for Idoc receiver as the receiver channel is always required but sender may not be necessary
    4. ALE settings for all IDOC scenarios are same  as follows....
    Steps for ALE settings:-
    Steps for XI
    Step 1)
         Goto SM59.
         Create new RFC destination of type 3(Abap connection).
         Give a suitable name and description.
         Give the Ip address of the R3 system.
         Give the system number.
         Give the gateway host name and gateway service (3300 + system number).
         Go to the logon security tab.
         Give the lang, client, username and password.
         Test connection and remote logon.
    Step 2)

         Create a new port.
         Give the port name.
         Give the client number for the R3 system.
         Select the created Rfc Destination.
    Step 3)
         Goto IDX2
         Create a new Meta data.
         Give the Idoc type.
         Select the created port.
    Steps for R3.
    Step 1)

  • BOXI 3.0 - Strange behaviour in infoview regarding regional settings

    Requirement: Currency to be shown in Brazil format (##.###,00)
    We have a requirement where all financials in reports should be in a Brazil format (##.###,00).
    As the report is built in Deski (.rpt) therefore u201CPreferred Viewing Localeu201D setting in infoview will not work (works only for .wdl- webi reports).
    We followed below steps in Deski report to meet our requirement:
    Tools -> options -> Language -> Unsupported Language -> Portuguese(Brazil)->checked the option u201Dmigration forcedu201D.
    It worked perfectly when run in deski.We published the report in infoview but didnu2019t see any change in format, it was still showing us in English(US).For testing purpose we published the copy of same report and could see the changes. But after refreshing few times the formatting got disappeared.
    Please help how to get the desired behavior in infoview.
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Pallavi

    Hi Seb,
    Thanks seb.
    But the problem is we have reports for country UK,AUS,US ..etc as well in our repository.If we change the regional settings the format will change for these reports too.We want this format only for Brazil reports ..so this solution won't work in our case.
    Why is Unsupported Language settings not working in infoview (we have applied this settings in Brazil reports only)...or is there anything that i have missed in settings?

  • Regarding Techincal settings.

    Hi,
    When we create technical settings, what is the use of one step & two steps.
    can any one explain me in details what is the use of those two radio buttons.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Ramana,
    The technical settings for a table is maintained, to define the behaviour of the table based on Buffering options, amount of records stored etc.
    To have detailed view on what technical settings are and how to maintain the same, go through the links given below..

  • [BO XI 3.0] - Strange behavior regarding language settings

    Hello,
    I found strange behavior  BOE in infoview portal. We have Desktop intelligence documents published in repository and when we open report (first time) in infoview we have right format for date and numbers e.g. dd.mm.yyyy, 123.123,00.
    When we close this report and open once again the format is en-US e.g. mm/dd/yyyy 123,123.00 and this is wrong. We log out and log in and open this report but no change.
    If we restart services in cmc (deski services) then the first time is report ok and when we open again this report the same error.
    SW:
    Windows server 2003 sp2 - english (regional settings - slovenian)
    BOE premium ( BO XI R 3.0 => the same problem in BO XI 3.1)
    CMS database => Oracle 10gR2 (nsl lang SLOVENIAN_SLOVENIA.EE8MSWIN1250)
    Language settings in infoview we check => use browser locale and slovenian
    Thank you for reply!
    In BOE R2 works fine...
    Regards,
    Gregor

    Hi Gregor,
    Try the following option.
    Find the file i8ln.xml in the location
    "<install directory of BO>\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\scripts\"
    Take a backup of the file and make the follwing changes.
    Find the following code in the file
    activate_languages>
    <state value="0"/>
    <State value="0" cs_lang="Bulgarian"/>
    <State value="0" orig_lang="" cible_lang="Bulgarian"/>*
    <State value="0"/>
    </activate_languages>
    Replace it with:
    <activate_languages>
    <state value="0"/>
    <State value="1" cs_lang="English (Australian)"/>
    <State value="1" orig_lang="" cible_lang="English (Australian)"/>*
    <State value="1"/>
    </activate_languages>
    Save the file.
    Restart your Desktop Intelligence servers. It might take a bit of time to pick up the changes.
    Note: If you start Deski after this change, and go to "Tools > Options", you will see a disabled language button with "English(....)" written on it.

  • Some clarifications regarding Aironet settings

    Hi,
    i need some clarifications regarding configuring Aironet stand-alone AP (in this case AIR-LAP1131AG).
    Under Security->SSID Manager:
    what is the purpose of Network ID?
    Under Guest Mode/Infrastructure SSID Settings - what is the purpose of Set Infrastructure SSID?
    and Force Infrastructure Devices to associate only to this SSID?
    Cheers,

    Assign a Service Set Identifier (SSID) to each VLAN configured on the AP. SSIDs enable endpoints to select the wireless VLAN they will use for sending and receiving traffic. These wireless VLANs and SSIDs map to wired VLANs. For voice endpoints, this mapping ensures priority queuing treatment and access to the voice VLAN on the wired network

  • Regarding the settings for Acknowledgements ?

    In the Application ACKs where and how we done the settings in XI server and ABAP side.
    I followed the below link
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f6d2d790-0201-0010-9382-b50b499b3fbe

    Hi,
    Application acknowledgments used to confirm that the asynchronous message has been successfully processed at the receiver. Acknowledgments can be used only together with async messages.
    So the configuration of ALE AUDIT is the acknowledgment for IDOC communication.
    ALEAUDIT is pretended to be used for Application Acknowledgements, in the case of Idoc to File, you can only send back a Transport Acknowledgement.
    The AleAduit sent in the case of Idoc to File if the file is posted successfuly is not actually a App Ack, and that is why we get the info Ack not possible.
    But, as the R3 might expect this Idoc, XI still sends it back to the Source R3 system.
    I guess this is the only logical conclusion.
    Refer below setp by step guides.

  • Regarding - SPRO Settings

    Dear All,
    What is the SPRO setting for sub-contract challan in ECC 6.0 for split valuation?
    Regards/ Shankar G

    Hi Shankar,
    Following configuration reqd.
    1)In global setting we have to define Valuation category( Say P-Procurement) & Valuation type( Int. / Ext)
    2) Active split valuation in MM
    3) Assign valuation type to category in customizing
    5) In Material Master enter valuation category in accounting view & choose price control V
    6) Extend Material Master view for both valuation type
    7) valuation category to be active /assign for plant
    8) In local definition Define Valuation category to Valuation area.
    No special steps reqd for in configuration for Subconteact process
    Then for every transaction (Valuation relevant) may be GR, GI, and Phy. Inventory you must mention valuation type during transaction to get your material valuated separately.

  • Regarding Server Settings

    Hi All,
    After making changes in BDC in DEV Server, I released the request.But, the problem is Data is coming correctly in our system. But, Data is not coming correctly at customer side.Server and client are same.How can i resolve this problem?Is there any settings problem.Points will be awarded.

    Hi
    Just ask your client to try with the same data as u have used.
    if this is not solving the problem, then ask them to use the user-master settings as being used by you. This because, some fields like DATE and PRICE WITH DECIMALS etc will depent on the user-settings.....
    For details on user master settings, just have a look at transaction SU3.
    Hope this helps u in solving the problem

  • Technical question regarding network settings

    There does not seem to be much "answered questions" on this forum -- more like a gripe  forum - but I'll give it a shot:
    I occassionally do file transfers between my mac and pc, using a connected ethernet cable -- and have had no problems with this until after I did a successful transfer today.  Then I was not able to do another.  I looked at my Local Area Connection settings - Details - and noticed that the Autoconfiguration IPv4 address that was once there, was no longer there.  This may explain why the mac was not able to 'find' the pc -- but I'm not sure.  Looking at other sites on the web, it appears there should not only be a Autoconfiguration IPv4 address (which was there before, because I took the IP address 169.254.xxx.xx address from there before) - but there also should be an Autoconfiguration IPv4 'enabled' [yes] setting there also, which also does not appear in my settings.  I suspect I must have inadvertantly changed a setting when I did the last transfer, but do not know what or how to correct it.  Thank you!

    Some questions if you do not mind:
    #1 What kind of cable is it?
    #2 Is this cable connected directly to the two computers or do you have a cable for those two computers connected to something else?
    #3 If you have a cable for those two computers connected to something else, what is the band and model of that something else? For example I have my computers connected to a Linksys E4200v1
    #4 Regardless if this cable connected directly to the two computers or do you have a cable for those two computers connected to something else, do you know how to setup a Static IP on your computer?

  • Email I received regarding changing settings by Dec. 2

    Hello,
    I apologize if this has already been asked and answered, but I'm new and unfamiliar with all the terminology.
    I did find this thread, which might apply to me, but I'm not sure: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-net-Email/Problem-with-new-settings-for-Windows-Live-Mail/td-p/...
    Anyway, I received an e-mail today saying that I need to change my POP3 settings in my POP3 clients. It said I need to change the settings to SSL in order to continue to use an external mail client. Supposedly if I don't change the settings by Dec. 2, 2013, then I won't be able to use a POP3 client to access and send mail.
    This was disturbing, as I need/want to continue to use Thunderbird (and another client called JBMail). I followed the instructions, attempting to change the settings, but they didn't work.
    I use Thunderbird for incoming mail and JBMail for sending mail. My current settings are: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net, port 110; and outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net, port 25, use SMTP AUTH
    I've used these settings for years and haven't had any trouble except when I've been in a hotel. Then sometimes I've had to use port 587 to send mail.
    Now, in the other thread referenced above, a respondent said that new settings don't apply to "yahoo portal email."
    However, based on the email I received today, it sounded like I need to change my settings. The e-mail says:
    In order to better protect your email and personal information, we are requiring that you update your Verizon Yahoo Mail settings to SSL before December 2, 2013 in all devices that you use to access your email account. Once updated, you will be able to continue to access your accounts through an external mail client (MS Outlook, etc.). If your
    settings are not updated before December 2, 2013, you will only be able to access your Mail account from the Verizon
    Yahoo portal.
    I'm not so worried about receiving mail. I can probably forward mail to, say, a Gmail account, and then download. But I am very concerned about being able to send mail.
    I send many emails a day and really need to be able to use a mail client. I intensely dislike web-based email.
    I hope this hasn't been confusing. I'm just trying to find out if the letter really applies to me. If it does, then I need to figure out a way to get the new email settings to work.
    Thank you for any help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    " I've been reading through the threads and see that I'm not the only one having problems getting the settings to work. Does the problem like with Verizon or with my email client? I was thinking the problem was with my software, but now I'm thinking maybe the problem is Verizon's. I live in central New Jersey. If anyone else reading these messages lives near Princeton, NJ, are you able to get the settings to work?"
    AFA JBmail I am not familiar, if you could post a screen shot of the configuration page I am sure someone can help with the proper sending configurations
    OR please let us know if this is the version you are running http://www.pc-tools.net/win32/jbmail/ ... the setup window does not appear to have SSL as an option ... .
    If a forum member gives an answer you like, please give them the Kudos they deserve. If a member gives you the answer to your question, mark the answer as Accepted Solution so others can see the solution to the problem. Thanks !!!
