Regarding my old account

Hello! I was contacted by my brother who found out I had an older Skype account. My username on that account is containing my social security number. I do not remember that I created this old account and used the birth number in my username. It is not desirable that my identity number is readily available, and my brother warned me that this is extremely dangerous to have open online. Since I can not change the user name of this account, or delete it, I urge you to ignore the guidelines and delete the account. Otherwise I'll have to take the matter further in the police, but I hope I can release this. Regards, Carsten Philip Vedvik

I have recently disputed the balance and open and close dates regarding an old unpaid charge off on my account from 6+ years ago.
I got an alert today that my EQ score had changed. The myFico alerts indicate that the specific account has be disputed by the consumer and my score has jumped 77 points.
Does myFico handle disputed (or ignore) items in the CR if they are marked as "disputed"? Or is there a chance that EQ got an answer back from the creditor in less than a week and the account was removed for some reason?
I guess I just don't understand that if the item was deleted from the CR why myFico's alert doesn't say "deleted". I have not heard anything back from EQ as of yet.
ThanksYes, certain aspects of a disputed account are removed from the scoring algorithm. This is why Mortgage lenders will not approve loans when there are accounts in dispute. I am looking to apply for auto financing in the next couple of weeks.  I am wondering if this is going to have a negative impact on me?  I didn't think that there would be any negative effect to disputing the account since the account is approximately 1 year away from dropping off, but I won't dispute the account with the other CBs if it is going to somehow improve my score (even temporarily) but at the same time hurt me by having something marked as "disputed"

  • Switched to shared plan-bill on old account sent to collection agency without notice!

On 9/16/12, my husband and I visited a Verizon store to upgrade our phones and enroll in a 2-year renewal contract, as we have done for years.  While speaking with an in-store representative, we were encouraged to combine our plans into a family shared plan. We took the necessary steps to do this and my husband moved his account to combine with mine.  From this point onward, we paid one bill together. We assumed my husband’s account was correctly closed and never heard anything else about it from Verizon.   We were therefore unpleasantly surprised to receive a letter from a collection company demanding that he pay a $135.63 charge from his old account that we previously knew nothing about.
I have been a loyal customer since 2003 and have never missed or even been late on a payment throughout this time.  To find out that there is a delinquent account sent to a collection agency which will affect my family’s credit is very disconcerting.  Further, to read stories from former Verizon customers saying that they too had received letters from collection agencies regarding unpaid bills that Verizon never alerted them about leaves me wondering whether the procedures for closing an account are being properly conducted.   In our case, the situation is even more frustrating since we are not former customers that Verizon had trouble contacting regarding outstanding charges.  We are current customers who would have been happy to make a payment had we been aware of it in writing.  A simple search would have shown that my husband’s phone number is still valid and is now part of my account in our shared plan.  We would have expected to have either received a bill addressed to him regarding a final bill that was owed on his old account (he used auto-pay while that account was active) or to have had the final charge moved to my current account, since I am now the primary account holder with both of our phone numbers under one plan.  It would seem surprising to send a bill to a collection agency when dealing with someone who is a current customer.
There is no issue with making a payment directly to Verizon as long as our credit is not affected.  We have written a letter to Verizon but have not received any response from them in a month and a half. Has anyone else successfully dealt with a similar issue?
    Thank you.

He didn't receive a hard copy because he had paperless billing set up (as well as auto pay).  We checked his email for any billing statements sent and there were none after the account was closed.  As SydneyK mentioned, since he only had paperless billing, after the account was closed there was no way to access it online and see that there was an outstanding balance.  In fact, the Verizon representative stated that his account would be "moved over" to mine, which to me implied that everything, including a balance, would be "moved" to the shared plan. We finally figured out what the outstanding balance was for - for the new phone he upgraded to when we went to the store to upgrade our phones and switch to the family plan.  They had charged his account for the phone, rather than my account/the shared account. Ugh.

  • How can I recover my old account?

Ive been trying to access an old Skype account of mine. I haven't used it in years, but its important for me to get onto it as i need to contact an old friend about an important issue and I no longer have their email or Skype name. the thing is my old password isn't working and the old email address to the account was deleted a long time ago. How can i go about resetting my password, I had never bought Skype credit with that account also. Is there a way I can reset the password?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Dear Readers,
For every post in this thread, the answer is the same: the only way to recover access to an old account is to contact Skype Customer Service directly.  You will need to be able to prove and/or verify your identity and that you are the rightful "owner" of the account in question.
This would be the same whether you have access to the e-mail address that was "registered" as the contact e-mail address on the account, or not; you must contact Skype Customer Service.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
As you know you must contact Customer Service, skip past Step 2 of the instruction and proceed to Step 3, Continue Support Request (the "button" appears at the lower right corner of the website page). You may also skip past in Step 4 where you will be referred back here to the Community; no need to do this as the Community is where you started.
A few more odds and ends details ...
      - G4pilut's advice stands and is absolutely correct!
      - Also, credit can not be transferred from one account to another; once you have restored access to the old account, you could contact Customer Service to request a refund of the credit.
      - Yes, the old account will continue to be seen on anyone's contact list where that account name had been added.  All your friends would need to do is remove the old account from their contact lists.
    Best regards,
    Elaine

  • I copied downloaded songs to a new computer.  These songs were downloaded with an old account that has been closed.  How do I open these songs now?

I copied all my music to a brand new computer.  I have songs that I purchased from iTunes in the list that are from a closed Apple ID.  I can't open them now.  What steps do I take to get them to work again?

If these tracks were purchased prior to the iTunes Store removing copy protection, the computer would need to be authorized to the iTunes Store account under which the tracks were purchased. If you remember the old account ID and password, you can try authorizing - go to the Store menu in iTunes and select the "authorize computer" command - and see if it will work. If it doesn't, or you know for certain that the account was disabled, you'll need to contact the iTunes Store and ask for assistance:

I have an old apple id that i havent used for years. For some reason i have updates on my mac i cannot do unless i sign onto that old account. It uses an old e mail account i no longer use or have access to. How can i get to do these updates?

    its very specific.
If you are seeing the old Apple ID with regard to this Mac, then it would seem that somehow you have incorporated the ID in the setup of this new Mac.
Iphoto i use never used imovie.
If you began using iPhoto without having Accepted it into your Apple ID, then that would explain why you are unable to update the app. If any of the iLife apps are used without Accepting them into your Apple ID, the ability to accept them will lapse and you will not be able to update them.

  • Hide the "Vendors by Old Account Number" search tab??

For some vendors we have, the previous account numbers are in fact real social security numbers (SSNs) from our prior system. Unfortunately they can be seen using the "Vendors by Old Account Number" search tab when pulled up on any containing the Vendor field.
Can this particular search tab (Vendors by Old Account Number) be hidden? The only search tabs we really need are Vendors(General) and Vendors by Address Attributes (Fuzzy Search).
    Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Go to the below path:-
SPRO > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Vendor Accounts > Master Data > Matchcode > Maintain Matchcodes for Vendors
And here you can remove the search help which you do not want.
If you do not have access to execute this, then your ABAP team should be able to do it.

  • Unable to Sign-In to iCloud Because of an Old Account

I just upgraded to Yosemite. My MacBook Pro asks for the password to an old iCloud account with an old email address I don't have access to and don't remember the password for. This old account is the only one my MacBook Pro recognizes and now it has been shut-down because of a "problem", probably because I tried to have the password sent to me by answering the Security Questions and it told me I got my birthday wrong. Of course, email verification goes to the old account.
iCloud is set up fine on all iOS devices.
How can I delete the old account and/or get my MacBook Pro to recognize the current account?

    Hello Jtfenwick,
It sounds like you change the Apple ID but did not sign out of your iPhone before you made the change. To resolve the issue, you need to change your Apple ID back to the old account and then sign out of iCloud to satisfy the prompt. When changing it back you your old account it will not ask to verify. Once you are done, you can change it back. For more information, take a look at the article below.

  • NONSENSE problem: can anyone help authorize iTunes 7.0.2 old account?

iTunes 7 is the right proof that perfect is enemy of good!
Used to live in Austria for 3 years where I purchased iTunes songs with an old Austrian account. Half a year ago moved to Sweden and changed my account, having cancelled the old one. Few days ago tried to listen my songs withe recently installed iTunes - bad surprise - I cannot do it now, because it asks for authorization for the songs which I legally purchased while in Austria! And I can't authorize half of my "Austrian" songs, because the old account and old email do not exist anymore.
What the heck is going on there in Apple!!!? Playing bad disappointing tricks on devoted users...

  • Re-routed to Old Account

Due to security and privacy issues, I have found it necessary to open a new account. This was done, using a new Skype name and with a new password. Whenever I go to the home page to send, receive, or add contacts, I keep getting sent to my old account which I thought had been deleted many months ago. How do I access the correct page, without my old Skype name, old picture, old contacts, etc., appearing instead? I want to once again enjoy using this site, but technology isn't allowing me to do so.

Hi, Crocspec11, and welcome to the Community!
Your report reads as if the old account was set to automatically sign in when Skype started and/or when your computer started.  Check these settings, and sign out of the old account (by the way, before you do, please review this FAQ article and ensure you can still access the account: 'Can I delete my Skype account?' ).  Un-tick the "sign me in when Skype starts" box.  Quit Skype (not just "close") Skype.  Re-start or re-launch Skype.  You should be able to sign on using your preferred account.
    Best regards,
    Elaine

  • ITunes will not let me access old accounts

I tried to connect either of my old accounts for my iPhone 4, but iTunes will not let me in.  When I ask for password recovery no email is sent to either account, but when I try to use either email address I get an error saying that both are still registered.  THEY CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!  I need to use either of these email for my current account.  How do I delete these accounts??  There is no help for iTunes online, just product support they want you to pay for!
Its stupidly hard to clear these old accounts out!  Please help.
