Regarding - Notification Type Change

Hi,
I want to change my notification type G0 to M1, M1 to G0, M2 to G0 etc.....In SPRO Setting i had made the changes Allowed changes to notification type,
When i created & saved the Notification, in change mode how to change the notification type, if i want to change it, its their any other settings in spro i hav to do ?

As far as my experience in this respect is concerned, while remaining with the standard functionality, configure the Notification Types (In Category 05 General Notification) for all the Notification Types you want to change to some other Notification Type. Then configure the Allowed Change of Notification Type. Create Notifications via IQS1 and thereby change the Notification Type via IQS22.

Hi,
You can only change notification type of a general notification, that is a notification of category 05 (this rules out changing M1 to M2). The customizing must allow notification change - see customizing under 'Overview of Notification Type'. The notification must still have status outstanding for the change to be allowed.
The exit QQMA0029 is provided to allow some further control during the notification change procedure, it does not assist in making the feature available.

Regarding - Material Type Change

Dear All,
I want to change the material type. Eg. We have material code A (HALB). We have did not used from implementation. Now i want to use the material as a ROH,
but i am not able to change the mateial type, kinldy tell me the flow to change the material type. This material did not have any movement, any open PO`s.
This is very urgent.

Hi,
If you try to change the material type the system will give you the details of why it cannot be changed.
Please try MMAM and look at the rror log it will give you.
If it wil not allow the change then there is definitely some transaction somewher that will need to be deleted etc.
Let us know what the erro log say and we will try to help.
BE CAREFUL - Don't think that the informationmessage is stopping you. The system will issue a message telling you that you are changing the material type from X to Y, just press enter and the change will take place (or you will get details of any errors).

We want to change the Notification type - YWQN type to YCQN type in Quality Notification- 1111111. Is it possible or do we need to reject this QN and create another new qn of YCQN type. Can u please advise?

I am not very sure but In the customization of notification if you have maintained setting to change YWQN type to YCQN then you can change.

Digital Signature for QM notification status change

Hello experts,
I need your guidance regarding implementation of user digital signature for QM notification status change. Our customer has ECC 6.0 but they are not inclined to introduce enhancement package 3 soon. Now their requirement is that while QM notification status change they want to have a user signature pop-up to verify the user authorization to do so. But they don't want to do so by using digital signature via DMS status change.
I am really not sure if I have explained the situaion correctly or not as i am quite new to QM. But I am desparately looking forward to get your valued replies in this regard.

To fulfill the FDA requirement we have apply the logic to make sure that a digital signature is captured for status changes during task processing.
To map this requirement we have developed one custom table to store remark that will be displayed on digital signature remarks textbox. This table will have following feild:
STAT - System/ user status
QMART - QN type
SPARS - language
TEXT - character text.
Work with ABAPer to implement this, and after implementing validate following key point:
u2022     Validate that after successful digital signature that the signature cannot be overwritten.
u2022     Validate the locking of the User ID after customer specific number of unsuccessful signature attempts.
u2022     Verify that the digital signature works for each status.
u2022     Validate that if the digital signature is cancelled prior to successful entry that the system status reverts back to previous status and all processing authorizations allowed for that status still function properly.

Controlling same Notification Types against few Planner groups

Dear Experts,
We have four groups of Maintenance Team (Mec, Ele, Inst & Civ) which are controlled against four roles to create same Notification types. The control factor is planner group which are linked against their required role and it is working fine to create notification (IW21) for their specific group.
The problem which we are facing is, change mode of Notification, Mech planner group team can change the details of Notification in Elec group as
same Notification types are used by 4 groups. Is there any way to restrict for the change authorization (IW22) in Notification as four teams are following four differernt roles.

Check the values in Authorization Object I_QMEL. (PFCG tcode of the respective Role) See the picture below. Assume this is your role for Civil Notification type (CE). It should look like this.
Also, try by removing the values in TCD field in other authObjects of this Role.
One more possibility is
Some Role other than this specific Role is enabling the user for IW22. This role might have been assigned to all these 3 users. You need to trace this and remove or modify the role.
This problem is a typical one often seen to be associated with AuthObjects, This can be managed by investigation.
A last resort method can be to manage this through user-exit QQMA0014. This is possible.

Default PM Notification type to PM Order type

HI All,
Please any one let me know where I need to make setting to obtain the default Notification type from PM Order creation or change mode.
I have done some analysis i.e. I am able to obtain the default Order type for Notification i.e. when I click on create Order button in Notification creation or change mode (IW21 / 22). The pop-up window appears with default PM order type. To obtain the default value , we need make settings in SPRO i.e. Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Notifications > Notification Creation > Notification Types > Assign Notification Types to Order Types.
I required vice verse i.e. Default Notification type from PM Order creation or change mode. To obtain this I have checked any SPRO settings to make. Example: Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders > Functions and Settings for Order Types > Define Notification and Order Integration. But here the notification is immediately created, when we save the PM order. This is happening since the automatic creation check box (3 rd column) is checked in SPRO settings i.e. Define Notification and Order Integration.
I need the system to display the pop-window with default notification type, when I clicked on create Notification button in PM order create or change mode (Iw31/32). Please let me know where I need to make settings for this?

Hi Ramu,
Goto SPRO ->Maintenance and service processing ->Maintenance and service orders ->Functions and settings for order type ->Define notification and order integration.
Goto specific order type remove the check box in the third column.
Result:When ever you create the service order, notification is not created automatically.You have to goto IW32 goto create notification click on the icon then pop-up appears for the notification.Hope this solution resolve your problem.

Hello Srihari,
depends on what you want to do. If you onyl want to ensure, that no new notifications with these notification types can be created, you should change the authorizations of the users. We've made the same for PM order types, and it works very well (creation of new orders with this type is impossible - already existing orders can be displayed w/o problems). As far as I rememeber, you'll run into problems, when you delete the customizing settings for already used notification types, when you try to access old notifications of this type.

Whole notification type copy

Is there a way to copy the whole customizing for a certain notification type? That is: copy not. type Q3 to a new not. type Z3 with all screen, number ranges, profiles...

Yes it is possible to create new notification type, or you can copy from an existing one like Q3,
QCC0 --> Q-Notif --> notif creation --> notif type --> Define notif type
Now click on new entry and create new type.
Or just right to the new wntry buttoon, you have copy as button, click on that and it takes you to the new page, change the notification name and create new.
After that you need to check number ranges and all. And you must set the screen template so that you can use this type.

Availability Before and After Malfunction - Notification type M2

I want to know why in the notifications type M2 the fields Availability Before Malfunction, Availability after Malfunction and Availability After Completion of Task don't accept as value zero (0), if you has a failure that out of operation the system this value should be zero (0). However SAP version 6.0 don't accept this value.

this will help you to have a brief report ontechnical objects, if you see iw28 /iw29 report where you can generate report on these parameters.
for eample if your equipment was available 100 % to production after malfunction and system condition is operational, you can generate what all are the equipments available 100 % to production and which are operational ...like that you can have report for all break down technical objects.

QM01 - Add new fields under SUBJECTS tab for notification type Q2

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to add 2 new fields to the create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under SUBJECTS tab for Notification type Q2.
I followed the following steps to achieve this :
[ SPRO -> Quality Mnanagement -> Quality Notifications -> Overview Quality Notification Types -> Then I selected Q2 and then selected dcreen structure for extended view -> Double clicked on 10\TAB02 ].
Now I arrived on the screen where we have to define the custom screen area and screen number.
But here in this case (Q2 notification type) all the 5 screen areas are already occupied , so where can I add my custom subscreen ??

You can enter the more than two persons in but not on header screen. In operation you can make each seperate person responsible for each operation & that can be entered against each operation seperately. Also if operation is carried out by two person then also you can enter that in the form of split.
But it is not possible to enter two users in reported by field.
