This is shreenivas finished my OCP in Advanced PL SQL 11g exam. want to finish the Oracle OCM certification
can you please let me know the process of finishing the OCM certification .

Just to be clear, the OCM certification is in the DBA certification track, whereas what you just completed with the Advanced PL SQL exam is a developer certification track. There is no developer-level OCM. If you want to become an OCM, you must become an OCP in the DBA track first and then pass the 2-day hands-on course and take two qualifying courses from Oracle. Regarding OCMS installation and verification by using Oracle Communicator

Hi all,
I am new to this installation.
I am installed OCMS in windowsXP and TimesTen as database.
While Instaling the OCMS I created 4 test users with test.user as prefix.
Now i am trying to connect to oracle communicator using the username and password created at the time of OCMS installation but i am not able to login into that.
Please help me to solve this.

Can't get a PDF certified Acrobat 10

Hi all,
I have a question regarding PDF certifcation (using Itext from Java.)
We are receiving valid revocation information when using Acrobat 10:
The selected certificate is considered valid because it does not appear in the Certificate Revocation List (CRL) that is contained in the local cache.
The CRL was signed by "Getronics CSP Organisatie CA - G2" on 2011/09/26 09:15:18 +02'00' and is valid until 2011/09/27 09:15:18 +02'00'.
Click Signer Details to get more information on the source of the revocation information.
Acrobat 9 says it can't check revocation with reasons like: "expired or not yet valid" or "BER code error".

Can you point me in the right direction regarding CSP debugging?

Oracle 11g , Administrator OCM certification

Hi,
I have completed OCP certification in the developers track by clearing in the following exams : 1Z0-007 , 1Z0-147 and 1Z0-146.
I wish to become an OCM in DBA track for Oracle 11g.
Going by the steps mentioned in the Oracle certification website, I saw that the path to become an OCM would be as :
1> OCA : Clearing 1Z0-007 / 1Z0-051 and 1Z0-052 exams.
2> OCP : Clearing a certified hands on course followed by clearing 1Z0-053 exam and submitting a form as proof of clearing hands on training.
3> OCM : Clearing 2 of the certified courses , appearing for the OCM exam , submitting a form as proof for clearing the certified courses and submitting the required application kit.
Since, I have already cleared the exam 1Z0-007 , do I have to clear it again as part of becoming an OCA or will the previous clearing of this exam suffice ?
also , do I have to clear 1Z0-051 exam.
Please note , I have cleared 1Z0-007 around February 2010.

Since, I have already cleared the exam 1Z0-007 , do I have to clear it again...No, the one exam will serve for both certification tracks. Exam results do not expire.

ACE OCM counters increasing

Hi,
OCM(outbound connection Mgr) Counters are increasing & we have found that ACE is reseting client connection. I have found following bug. Currently we are running A2(1.1a). Anyone there hit by the same bug. Your experiences on this are appreciated.

Hello Akhtar,
You've probably noticed that the "Drop [out of connections]" counter referenced in the bug is not shown in the output of your commands. This means that this counter is currently at zero. It will only be shown if it has a non-zero value. Therefore, this implies that this counter is not going up.
Also, from the output you supplied, nothing looks alarming to me that would indicate the cause of the resets. Here is how I would recommend you proceed:
If possible, upgrade to a newer software release. The release you are on is quite dated now and there have been hundreds of software fixes since that release. Further, the A2(1.x) software train will no longer have any maintenance updates. Upgrading to A2(2.3) may be the quickest solution for you if you are hitting a bug on the ACE.
If you cannot upgrade, or you upgrade and the issue persists, then you should gather the following information:
Get a showtech from the context in which the VIP resides
Start a capture of the ACE tengig port(see not below)
Run some test connections to replicate the RST
Stop the capture
Get a second showtech
Now you will be able to look at the connections in Wireshark, and compare your two showtechs to see what, if any, error (or Drop) counters increment. If necessary, please open a SR with Cisco TAC for expert analysis.
NOTE: In order to do the Tengig capture, you would need to configure SPAN on the Supervisor. The source interface would be Te/1. So for example, if your ACE is in slot 3, then the source interface of your monitor session would be Te3/1.

OCM exam issue

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask my query but i have searched extensively on oracle website but didn't get any information on that.My query is
I was in talks with oracle executive for the past one month and finally booked my OCM 10g exam in India for 25th and 26th of October 2010.I didn't get any confirmation from oracle regarding the booking of exam till today 22nd of October 2010.I was given a confirmed date of exam by executive. The exam is in some other city and i have to take a flight to reach there.The oracle executive who took the payment from me is not picking up the phone nor replying my phone calls for the past 1 week.I called another executive at the local oracle office. He confirmed that such exam is not being conducted on 25th and 26th.The oracle executive knows my cell phone number and is not picking up my calls. When i called from some other number, she picked up the call and started giving me excuses. At the last hour, i have to cancel my flight. I can't say how much mental tension and harassment i have received apart from financial loss. I am shocked that these kind of people do exist in sales department of a renowned company.The sales executive didn't bother to book the exam even after taking exam fee but confirmed me the dates.I was not even given the 2nd point of escalation to discuss this issue.I have all the mail communication with the oracle executive and want to escalate this issue. Could anyone please let me know the department within oracle that looks into this kind of issues?

- As in most countries, but perhaps particularly in India and some other countries, there exist a small number of dishonourable individuals who will happily part people from their money and not give the required service in return.
I would not advise putting full details on the forum , but if you get no satisfaction from the previous email address for oracle education india (give them chance to respond .. and remember it is the weekend ) ... then write full dates and phone numbers in an email to the ocpfraud_ww@oracle cc'd to [email protected] just in case there is an extreme case of incompetence or fraud going on.
- However some aspects of your post do worry me ..... for example if i was booking an Oracle OCM exam .... (which i cant 'cos i've not attended pre-req courses and i'd fail the thing anyway) .... i somehow wouldn't expect to be talking to an Oracle executive about it. I would also wonder why you've just needed to register with OTN yesterday ... there can be good reasons for this ..... but for an OCM candidate it is high probability indicator that something is wrong.

Order Change Management(OCM) in SAP

Dear All,
OCM is applicable in MTO Scenario.
Kindly let me know the steps involved to activate OCM n how to proceed

Order Change Management is applicable for MTO/MTS Scenario,
First:-
In WorkScheduling View of Material Master (FERT/HALB or Any Defined for Production) you need to maintain "Overall Profile"
This Overall profile should be configured in SPRO > PRoduction>Shop Floor Control > Operations>Change Management for Production Orders-->Define Overall Change Profile.
Process of OCM follows this way:
Create a Change Number CC01 with Release Key
In Object Types select/tick "Actv", "object", "MgtRec",
You get the Change Number by Saving .
Use this Change Number to Change BOM or Routings
Then Release the Change Number useing Release Key till then you don't find the Change of BOM in Production Order.
Then go to Oder Change Process T Code :- COCM
Tick Change Number and Select the Change Number & Execute
Select the Production Order, click on Procurement element icon you get another screen select and execute again.
You get an Pop-Up screen. "Determine changes, Check changes, Change Original Order.
you see the changes in BOM for Production Order i.e. after COCM.
Then Confirm the Changes in Production Order then New changes will be Active in production Order.

OCM for Java EE no longer current?

Is Oracle Certified Master for Java EE still a current certification? I only ask as this is available for JavaEE 5, but not 6. I am concerned this is now a defunkt cert

This certification is currently being evaluated for upgrade to a new version. At this time, I cannot give a definitive answer about whether or not there will be an EE 6 version. We also do not have any info on retirement of the EE 5 version. I don't expect that this certification will retire terribly soon, as it is still getting a good amount of traffic. I'm sorry, I realize that my answer is not very informative or helpful, but that is the only info I have at this time. If you are interested in this certification, I would recommend that you go ahead and go for it. Even if we do end up retiring the certification path, the certification remains valid. It remains on your list of certifications in CertView and you can continue to use the OCM logo.
If you are worried about getting 1/2 way through the path and having the path retire, I can tell you that we typically provide at least 3 months notice for a retiring exam/certification path. This path may require extra time because of the length of time that it takes to complete this certification path. Whenever this certification path is set to retire, we will make every effort to contact all candidates who are working on the certification at that time, so always be sure that your email address is updated and correct in your Pearson VUE profile.

WHAT IS ORDER CHANGE MANAGEMENT(OCM)

CAN ANYBODY EXPLAIN ME WHAT IS OCM , HOW TO USE IT.

Order Change Management ( OCM) is used for tracking changes made to the Production / Process Orders.You can see the Change Management records after activating OCM in Order Header Screen--->
Go to (Menu)--->Change Management.

OCM Database version ?

Hi,
I'm currently preparing the OCM exam.
I had a look to the version I have to use.
In the page : http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_org_id=&lang=&p_exam_id=11gOCM, we can read that the database version is 11.2.0.
But we haven't the last number which is very important for us, for example, in 11.2.0.1 there's no private interconnect bonding, and in 11.2.0.2 it has been implemented.

Hi Laurent,
Although I have completed the 1-day 11gOCM exam ony, which was on 11gR1 (11.1.0.7) and the 2-days 10gOCM (10.2.0.1) I am pretty sure the 2-days 11gOCM exam has been developed on 11.2.0.1.
On the other hand, I suggest to take a closer look at the topics of the exam, the Grid and the RAC ones in particular... None of them says anything about interconnect configuration as such.
Even if the environment turns out to be 11.2.0.2, in my humble opinion this kind of difference between the releases should not make to much difference or trouble.
