Regarding Operation in Descrete

Hi Expert,
I want to know in SAP Assign to Video clip to Operation.. when user doing operation that time ya before operation he wants some information about that operation some Design.. Customer want to show the video clip on that time. not huge 1 min to 5 min.
I t is possible in SAP, Descrete Mfg here..

Hi,
I doubt whether this is possible in SAP.
However, YOu can try with following option :
Go to ROuting / Production ORder display in CA03 / CO03---> GO to next screen -> Go to Systems Menu-> Choose Services for Object in that one small pop up will open in that you can Create Attachment in which you can attach file etc.
I doubt whether it can contain video clip as well or not.
However, you can check for the same.

Regarding operating system spooler

I do wanna to know what exactly is operating system spooler?My doubt is that if the operating system spooler and spool workprocess are on the same server,then it is local access method.Otherwise it is remote access method.
Say if am using front end printing and the application server is at America,the spool work process will be at America and the printer attached to front end at India.How do u think it becomes localaccess method?don't u think it should be remote access method(As the AS is at America and printer connected to frontend at India?)

Front end printing makes use of local OS environment and not of any server where SAPLPD is working. It is same as printing a document from your PC. Spool Work Processes lie on the application server but it doesnopt affect fron-end printing. Also in case of remote printing theprinters are attached to a seperate server where SAPLPD will be running. Spool is fired via SAP application server(where your spool processes are running) and then is dispatched to the server where SAPLPD is running and this server then directs the printer to print the spool. This is what remote printing is actually. In case of local printing no such server with SAPLPD needs to be specified. Just compare the configuration of your LOCAL printer and other remote printers in your system via SPAD. Also the device type that is used normally is SAPWIN(for Windows)which points to the driver for lour local windows printer. In case of your remote printers you will notice that there is an entry for derstnation host which is exactly the server where SAPLPD is running.

Doubt regarding Operational Config Params

I am running a coherence cluster and in my tangosol-coherence-override.xml file :
1. While configuring WKA I am not able to use any other port other than 8088. Any way I can specify my own port.
2. And my replicated cache errors while starting up when I configure it using the services tag.

1. When you say that you can only use port 8080 when configuring WKA, do you mean this is the only port you can specify in the WKA list or the only port you can use for your cache server?
First, you can confifure WKA in your tangosol-coherence-override.xml like this

2. You really should not need to do anything with the services section in your overrides file - in fact your tangosol-coherence-override.xml does not need to have a services section. All the settings for the services are configured in your cache configuration file. I think this was pointed out in your other post.

What is my operating system in regards to my printer installation?

When trying to install the drivers and software for your printer from the HP website, it is required to know both your operating system and your system type.
To determine if you have Windows or Mac, below is the icon you will find that is often referred to as the Start Button.

PLPO Is task-list operation/activity master, contains data regarding operations....there is no field by which i can link the operation with the frequency.
We have some tables of maintence package master....that also don't have the linking field.

Operation Mapping issue in PI 7.1

Hi there,
I am working on PI 7.1 sp7, and have lots of interfaces running on it.
There is something strange regarding Operation Mapping in Interface Determination, the thing is that when i try to assign a IM to the Interface Determination i could see it from the display table BUT i am not able to get it to the I.Det screen, so the mapping between sender and receiver interface is lost.
However, if i import any scenario from other XI system and navigate to the IDet, i could see the operation mapping with the IM in it.
Do you guys have ever experienced something similar? Could this be something related to caches?
FYI:
Cache notif in ESR and ID is ok (green)
SXI_CACHE is ok
CPACache is ok
Cache connectivity test is in yellow status ("Cache notification from Integration Directory not yet started or being edited")
INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI destination test throws 500 error but the response body is 'The WebApplicationException log ID is [26D8F0DDA80400560000015D000DA0E801028B1CD8907B66].
and i think it should be ReqID not found.
Could you please help me on this?

I think this error is documented in note #1286212 Binding rec0 is not found in the brick error in mapping.
The solution is as following:
(http://<server>:<port>/rep)
-> Administration.
-> Repository (tab)
-> Java Web Start Administration
-> Re-initialization
Repeat this action on the Directory tab.

What does operating concern means in orgaisation structure?Is that related with SAP FI Configuration?

If you go to SPRO - Controlling - Profitability, there you will find all set ups regarding operating concern. It is highest organizational unit. You assign companu code to controlling area and then controlling area to operating concern. Thus we can say it is higest organizational unit in CO.

PM order: operation short text mandatory for active operations only?

Hi experts,
a quick question regarding operation short texts in the PM order:
I would like to make short texts in PM order operations mandatory.
When I set the short text to "mandatory" in the "operation list customizing" field selection (Tcode OIOPL), all of the operations in the order shown in the operation list (standard 0010 to 0170) get the short text field marked as mandatory.
This means that a short text is expected even for operations which are not used/active, which is a pain if I only want to use operations 0010 and 0020...
Does anyone know of an OSS note that fixes this?
Or is there some other customizing that needs to be done?

Hi,
There is no fix for this as its not an error as such. The screen processing does not distinguish between active and non-active operation lines. So if short text is mandatory it will be required on every operation line. OIOPL is not suitable for marking fields mandatory for that reason - ok for hiding fields or making display only.
Consider the exit as suggested.

Opera TV Store doesn't load - Bravia TV

My tv is connected to the internet (finally, it took forever to get that figured out), and i have access to all the apps. However, the Opera TV store never loads up. I get the splash screen, then the progress bar that goes on and on forever - but the actual store doesn't load. I've done a power reset. This is the only app that's being problematic. It's bumming me out bc I really want hulu (why it's not standard and Crackle is, is beyond me). Help? Model name KDL-40R510C

Error while deploying RPD in OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.3)

Hi Friends,
At times while deploying RPD in OBIEE 11g, I am getting an error, "_*Supplementary information regarding operation: DOMAIN, UNEXPECTED_ERROR;/tmp/zipped-directory.zip (Permission denied)*_".
We have installed OBIEE over a LINUX machine. I tried to locate this file in the server but was not able to find any such thing. This error happens at random and I am unable to predict the occurrence of this error.
Can someone guide me how to resolve this issue?

Error in replacing the default repository of BI server with a new one

Hi everyone,
This is my first post to this form, i have just started exploring oracle BI Enterprise edition.
I am naive to Oracle BI, sorry i do'nt know much about the installion and configuration things, i installed Oracle BI to explore the Development things.
I am currently creating a repository by using bi administrator tool. I am following the following tutorial

As I was doing the necessary prerequisite setups for the deployment of SAMPLEAPP core application.
I have done the following steps
1. Copying Files into Appropriate Locations
2. Creating Main SampleApp Oracle Data source
3. Deploying Weblogic Server Users and Custom Apps (Please note that i can'nt find BI_Server1 so i have done this step on Admin Server)
4. Deploy Custom content folder location in WLS (Again the Admin Server was selected by default as there was'nt BI_SERVER1)
5. OBIEE Configuration Edits and Starting (Please note that i have done the setting for PHYSICAL_TABLE_NAME as
PHYSICAL_TABLE_NAME = "XX - System DB (ORCL)"."Catalog"."dbo"."S_NQ_ACCT"; (I do'nt know with which value to replace XX, so i putted 09 as it was in the tutorial.
I am getting error in the following step
6. Setting the default rpd and webcat paths through EM
I have selected SampleApp.rpd for repository file option and given path for webcat selection after pressing APPLY button i get the error when i click on ACTIVATE CHANGES.
The error is as following
Supplementry information regarding operation:JEE_SERVER:ETS-HO-SDGN37:Adminserver;Unexpected error; error acquired during setting configuration values.
After getting this error i am not able to login to the Oracle business intellegence page as well while the Administration and EM are able to login normally.
Kindly someone help me in the regard, as i am unable to solve the issue.

To transfer your information from your old iPhone to your new iPhone, you are going to want to do a few things:
1) Backup any information on the old iPhone to your computer. You can use Windows Address book or Outlook (2003 or 2007) to backup contacts and Internet Explorer to backup your bookmarks. You will need to import any pictures you have taken on the iPhone to your computer (they do not sync) or email them if you would like them saved. Sync your old iPhone with iTunes so that it will make a backup of your text messages and other preference information.

2) Take your SIM card out of your old iPhone and put it into the new iPhone. This takes all of your ATT account information to the new iPhone so that you will not have to run through a full activation again. You will have to run through a mini-activation, but all of your information will already be set up.
3) Connect the new iPhone into your computer. As part of the mini-activation process, iTunes will ask you if you want to restore your iPhone from the backup. If you say yes, then it will use the preferences from your old iPhone and put them on the new iPhone. You can then sync any information (contacts, bookmarks, photos, etc.) that you backed up on the computer from the old iPhone to the new iPhone.

4) Once you are confident that all of your information has been transferred from the old iPhone to the new one, you can restore the old iPhone and that will put the software back to factory settings.
