Regarding permanent fix of TREX search navigation links disappearance

Can anyone suggest me how to permanently fix the issue as given below:
The navigation links in the team room search automatically disappears in few days.I have to fix them in every 2-3 days.
By Navigation links I mean the links used to go for the next page e.g.
                       "1-10,11-20 > >> 50"

Resolved by appending NavMode=3 to Content link URL should launch in Headerless Portal window.

  • Navigation link disappear in IE but appear in Firefox

Hi, I'm a Mac newbie. I created my first website using iWeb'09 and save it on local disk. It's look and run nicely in Firefox on both Mac and PC. However, when viewed in Explorer on PC, the navigation link did not appear. In IE, when I clicked the index file, I got a message to allow running of ActiveX control -- I clicked yes to allow, but still no navigation link appear. Please help...

Although I didn't receive any response on this question but I have finally solved this problem (it seem that Apple has no moderator for this forum -- strange!). What I did was to turn off "display navigation link" under page inspector. I have to do this on every page. Then I made the menu using a text box and link the pages. I hope this would help for those facing the same problem.

  • 11G worksheet navigation links disappear during session

    Hi folks,
We are experiencing an issue with Discoverer 11G where on some PCs the Edit Worksheet navigation links are disappearing during a session. By navigation links, I am referring to the folloiwng: Worksheet Layout, Select Items, Table Layout, Sort, Parameters. The links are still clickable but the text is no longer visible to the user. Has anybody else come accross this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?
    Thanks

    Hi Gavin
Sounds like a recurrence of a Java issue that used to plague 10g.
Check out the Java versions on both the PC and server and make sure they are the same. You also need to ensure that the server version is compatible for use with Discoverer. You should find information on the latest certifications and Java on OTN.
    Best wishes

  • KM/TREX search through links, it it possible?

    Hi,
I'm asking for a search (using KM + TREX) in an specific folder (Folder A). This folder contains links below it. The search result is not bringing  files (file FB1 and file FC1) located in folders to which these links point to. Is there something that can be done or changed to bring these files too, without changing the search-from point?
    Folder structure:
    Folder-A
       Folder-A1
          File-FA1
       Folder-B1 (link to FolderB/Folder-B1)
          File-FB1
       Folder-C1 (link to FolderC/Folder-C1)
          File-FC1
    FolderB
       Folder-B1
          File-FB1
    Folder-C
       Folder-C1
          File-FC1
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Stephen,
I created a Resource Result Filter as follows:
    - Include Documents/Web-Pages:  checked
    - Include Folders: checked
    - Include Links (Not Applicable For Web-Sites): checked
    - Case Sensitive (Folders And Documents/Web-Pages):   unchecked
    - Item ID Mode (Documents/Web-Pages Only): include
    - Item ID Patterns (csv): *.*
    - Mime Type Mode (Documents/Web-Pages Only): include
    - Mime Type Patterns (csv): *.*
    - Minimum Content Size (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
    - Maximum Content Size (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
    - Maximum Age of Last Modification (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
==> Result: no documents were included in the index.
    and another one as follows:
    - Include Documents/Web-Pages:  checked
    - Include Folders: checked
    - Include Links (Not Applicable For Web-Sites): checked
    - Case Sensitive (Folders And Documents/Web-Pages): unchecked
    - Item ID Mode (Documents/Web-Pages Only): include
    - Item ID Patterns (csv): *.*
    - Mime Type Mode (Documents/Web-Pages Only): include
    - Mime Type Patterns (csv): *.*
    - Minimum Content Size (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
    - Maximum Content Size (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
    - Maximum Age of Last Modification (Documents/Web-Pages Only): empty
==> I have the previous result. When I search from Folder-A, the search doesn't bring me files from the link folders (Folder-B1 and Folder-C1).
    When I go to:
    Advanced Search
    Search Option
       Search Scope
         (o) Folders (and Subfolders)
and click on  [ Browse ],
it opens me a Navigation window to select the folder that I want to search from,
when I go to Folder-A, it doesn't even show me the link folders (Folder-B1 and Folder-C1). It seems to me that it ignores the link folders.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Geraldo.

Do you get the same error on both of you DAG Members?
I suggest that activate your other copy and then seed the content index on the new passive copy.

  • Navigation Link not working from save search result

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement in our application which is created from scratch, I have implemenetd save search  and its working fine, we have some navigation links in result. these links does not work from save search results moreover it works with normal search.
Can anybody help me out to achieve it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Madhu Omer

    Hi Madhu,
If you want to trigger cross-component navigation to an overview page, then the following conditions should be satisfied:
    1. Your last outbound plug calls method fire_outbound_plug( ).
    2. The collection passed in fire_outbound_plug( ) contains two entities - a navigation descriptor as the first entity and a root object of the object you want to navigate to as the second entity.
In your case, is condition 2 satisfied? You can create a navigation descriptor by calling the following method passing its two mandatory importing parameters as indicated:
    CL_CRM_UI_DESCRIPTOR_OBJ_SRV=>CREATE_UI_OBJECT_BASED(
        EXPORTING
IV_UI_OBJECT_TYPE = * UI object type of object to which you want to navigate *
            IV_UI_OBJECT_ACTION = 'B'            "for Display
If you keep debugging the standard outbound plugs, then you will see that at some location, SAP will surely be inserting this navigation descriptor object in the collection as first object in the collection when calling fire_outbound_plug( ).
If you still can't trigger navigation, please mention the BOL objects you are working with, the component you have created and where you have used it.

  • Some emails are there when searching, but do not show up in inbox for mail account. How do we permanently fix that? This is dangerous for businesses that rely

    Hi, and thanks,
I noticed that many dozens of others have expressed the same problem with Thunderbird, but it still continues.
For no apparent reason, sporadically, some emails don't show up in the inbox list of an account, but are actually there. If we're told later that someone sent one, and if we do a search at that time, it does come up!
We rely on this for business, and wouldn't know to search if we are unaware that an email has come in but simply doesn't appear in the list. We have actually lost significant business $ on 3 separate occasions, from clients who have said they emailed us, but we never responded! (That's really bad, and even worse because they also won't use us any more.)
Obviously, we of course would not want to have to check with the webmail host when we have Thunderbird. So...., how can we permanently fix this problem so it never, ever occurs??? We used to use Eudora before switching, and this never happened.
Some blogs say to delete one of the files in the system to re-index the inboxes, but again, that would not be the answer, because we wouldn't know to do that, nor when to do that, since some emails, without a warning or clue, occasionally simply don't show up in the list at all.
Please let us know the permanent and complete fix for this ASAP.
    Thanks so much,
    Les Pock

Lers, I have used Thunderbird for the best part of a decade and have only once experienced something similar to what you describe and it was a corrupt database.
So lets just back up a bit.
If you want mail to flow without issue the first bullet to bite is anti virus.
    * Scanning of outgoing mail is a total waste of time and an added risk for no return. You anti virus already certifies your machine clean.
    * Scanning of incoming mail is of extremely limited value. Thunderbird does not allow scripts in email, so there is no bug that will junmp out and start running even if your mail is not scanned and it contains a virus. The exception to that is attachments. But they are not dangerous either, unless you try and open them. Even then your anti virus should be monitoring the temporary folder on your computer and blocking any attempt to write the infected file, let alone execute the contents.
    * Scanning of your mail folder likewise is of limited value, but is more than often the cause of mail indexes not being updated. These days anti virus program appear to scan everything. Every file as it is accessed and opened. Thunderbird often has quite large files to store mail, up to 4Gb is not all that uncommon. Anti virus program take about 2 minuted per Gigabyte to scan files. So it can be the case that the anti virus is scanning while Thunderbird is timing out waiting for access to the appropriate files.
To make things more efficient exclude your Thunderbird mail profile folders from on access scanning by your anti virus program. The folders contain NO executable programs, and a weekly scan along with the rest of your computer with Thunderbird closed should be more than adequate. Perhaps scheduled for1am Friday. Gives Friday to deal with anything found and does not interrupt your use of the device.
A similar exclusion can also be beneficial for other data storage areas (databases especially)
Finally look at what processes run on your computer. there aerew by default about 40 when it is new and over time this grows with almost every security, office or game you install until your computer is so busy running background processes to check if the latest versions of XXXX has been released that it becomes sluggish and performance on most things is degraded (That common nugget of Windows computers getting slower over time is TRUE, but a large part of that is added processes and security software which is actually reducing performance quite extensively.)
BTW right clicking a folder, selecting properties and the repair button rebuilds the index non destructively as deleting the files as you mention also looses tags.

  • Issue while navigating through a search result link

    Hello Experts,
We are facing a strange issue in our IC Web Client UI.
After an account is confirmed, and a wild card search is done on the Product Search work centre, a number of results are displayed in the list view below ( which extend to more than one page). The search result has a particular field 'Generic ID' which is a navigational link, and further filters the search results when clicked on it.
The issue is, if the Generic ID is clicked from one of the serach result in page 1 or 2, it takes the control to the next stage filtered search result page 1. But if the Generic ID is clicked from any other page other than the first two, it takes the control to the next stage filtered search results page 2.
I have debugged both the scenarios but there's no difference in the behavior of both.
Any pointers to why this is happening or how it can be solved will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Richa

    Hi Prasenjit,
    Thanks for your inputs.
I've debugged the scenarios, but I've been unable to locate any pointers to the current page, or the one being navigated to.
An OSS in this case can't be raised as the link which is being clicked is a customization. Hence, anything after that would probably be because of the customizations made.
Any pointers to where should I concentrate while debugging to find the current page number?
    Rgds,
    Richa

After searching a little bit a have found that you need to create a custom page
For example this is a default page for Document Navigation

  • Navigation Link failes : _layouts/15/AreaNavigationSettings.aspx fails to load on subsites

PROBLEM: The navigation link in Site Settings will only works on the root site. Any sub site I get the notorious "Sorry, something went wrong An unexpected error has occurred."
When I look at the logs I see the following that relate to the correlation ID below.  Any ideas on how to get Navigation working?
This was caused when I migrated sites from one farm to another and only if I created a new site collection and replaced the root site with one from the other farm.
    What I've Tried:
I've done this on other site collections where I moved the sites but made them subsites and did not overwrite the root site and the navigation feature works fine.  Even sites where I
didn't do a migration it worked great.
I've tried the following found at this link which seems to be the most popular solution but I've had no luck.

    Hi Craig,
I understand you encountered the issue with navigation link in the sites after migrated to another one.
The issue might be caused by
Navigation links that were added by site owners as relative links in the old site continued to work, and links that were added and managed automatically by SharePoint continued to work as well.
Please try the script in the article below and see if it fix the link:

  • Outbound plug, confusing error message: no navigational link attached

    Hello,
I just finished the WebDynpro Quiz tutorial and deployed the application. Unfortunately when pressing the start button the application dumps and I get a stack trace
       com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException:
Cannot navigate via outbound plug StartQuizOut of view WelcomeView
because there is no navigational link attached to it
        at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.view.View.navigate(View.java:349)
indicating that there was no navigational link attached to my plug StartQuizOut. However the link is definitly there.
As sources are not provided I cannot debug into the class named in the trace.
Could someone please give me a hint. I think I did everything according to the tutorial, but I am stuck now.
    Regards,
    Sebastian Kamp
P.S. I searched this forum for "no navigational link attached"; there are some threads with a similar problem description, but no solution is provided.

    Hi Zita,
thanks for your answer. I kind of solved the problem. When following the Tutorial I ended up for some reason with two versions of/references on (?) the WelcomeView - one was embedded in the QuizViewSet, the other directly in the Quiz-Window - don't ask me how that happend. Anyway, both were identical except the navigation links. The embedded view had all the navigation links required, the other didn't. So eventually in despair I deleted this view.. and now it works fine.
    Regards,
    Sebastian
