Now i want learn some related area in SAP which relates to PHP Development.
Can anybody sujjest any technology in SAP which will be suitable for me to get started and will have good future!

maybe start with <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/e9/bb153aab4a0c0ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm">BSP (Business Server Pages)</a>, go through the <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BSP">Wiki</a>. This should give you enough information for a start. Once you got a grip on BSP, try to expand your knowledge to MVC development, which is the foundation for Web Dynpro ABAP, the future standard UI technology.

Dear all,
I would like to search OSS documentation which mention that SAP does not support business area anymore? anyone knows the exact OSS number for thatstatement ?
Because as far as I remember, SAP does not recommend business area. SAP advised customer to use PCA or new GL instead.

Check OSS Note 321190. Here is one section:
To meet the changing requirements, we will focus the further
functional developments in Financial Accounting on the profit
center entity. With General Ledger Accounting (new) in Release SAP
ERP 2004, you can create financial statements for profit centers.

o The business area will be retained in the present form. The data
and functions will continue to be available. In the context of the
use of classic General Ledger Accounting, business area accounting
(Customizing OB65 for business area financial statements, SAPF181
and SAPF180) will continue to be supported to the known extent;

Accounting is not planned.

I am looking for software to create PHP website's, i've heard about BBEdit but i don't know if it is the best or someting. Can someone give me any advice on this topic ?

Indeed, OS X is one of the best environments for PHP Development. There a variety of tools and each one is best suited for the kind of developer you are and for what you are looking for.
I would say that BBEdit is best suited for someone who wants to do some quick PHP editing and not so much of a huge development.
If you want something for heavy-duty professional PHP development, I suggest you have a look at PHP Eclipse here:

I use it a lot and by far is one of the best PHP Development environment around.
On the other hand, if you are looking for a tool you would like to pay for, I suggest you have a look at Macromedia Dreamweaver MX on http://www.macromedia.com/dreamweaver.

Query regarding future developement tool used to customize siebel apps

i am girish.
i am a siebel developer, working in areas of siebel configuration,Siebel EAI,WORKFLOW,Scripting.
i want to know how would future oracle applications will affect my future.
currently i am working in siebel tools which is specific to customizing siebel application only.
in oracle applications which will be rolled out in 2008, i would like to know that the developement environment for customizing siebel applications would be siebel tools or JDeveloper?
or siebel tools will be the environment for cusomizing siebel and fusion mw will come into picture only for SOA, Integration only?
should i start learning java even if i am not working in fusion middleware?
is JDeveloper going to be the tool for future developement of Oracle CRM Applications.
please explain ?
it would help me in getting ready for the future?

The Applicataion strategy for Fusion Applications is being planned.
As of now, you will need to use Siebel tools for Siebel integration work, and Oracle JDeveloper will be the unified design-time environment for all development related to Oracle SOA Suite and Fusion Middleware.

What are the SAP backup for SID (SAP DB), Master & MSDB?

Dear Experts,
I'm trying to do backup via tcode DB13 for full backup. Somehow there are 3 database option for me to choose, which are Master, MSDB and SID (SAP DB).
I just wonder what are they.
My concern is which of the above options consists all the customizing data in IMG.
Please advise.

Data is in SID (sap db) but if possible you choose all three in one go. Otherwise take backup of SID

What are the SAP inbox tables.

i want to know what are the SAP inbox tables.
if i have click on SAP inbox for perticular user, retrived 37000 entries and give short dump "Time Out" . i want to know from which table retrived the records and display into the SAP inbox(SBWP).

Intercompany 1.1 is supported on SAP Business One 8.82 and Intercompany 2.0 is supported on SAP Business One 9.0.

In ESS we are getting SAP GUI screens instead of web screens??

Hi,
How the problem has come up---
We have transferred the production data and OS into test server and changed the test server IP address to production IP address after shutting down the production server.
Which means that now ITS/ESS will be pointing to the new copied server. After this when this new server was shutdown and old production was started the ESS/ITS points back to the original production server.
Now the problem is that When we execute any transaction from ESS we are getting SAP GUI screen instead of Web screen.
Can somebody tell me why this is happening.
Any pointers to this will be highly appreciated.

Developer Denied Permissions to Open SAP MII Workbench even with permission

Hello,
I have recently added a developer with the following permissions in UME:
SAP_XMII_Super_Administrator
SAP_XMII_Administrator
SAP_XMII_Developer
SAP_XMII_User
We are using SAP MII 12.1 Patch 6 (build 96). Netweaver 7.1. We are using Windows Vista for OS and Internet Explorer 7 for our browser (even has the Java Plug-in disabled). We are using Java 6 version 20 for our JRE.
He can see the MII homepage and can navigate to Data Services -> SAP MII Workbench. However, when he clicks the link, he gets an authentication dialog box with the following following fields:
SAP MII Server Name: ______________________________
Port: 53000 (which I find odd that it initially is set to 53000 when he experiences this problem; our port is 50000)
User name: __________________________
Password: ________________________
He enters the information correctly (even sets the port to the correct setting which is 50000) and he gets the following error: Connection refused: connect
He can activate the workbench on my machine (I believe our labtops are analogous) so that leads me to believe he might have a conflicting process. Any help/suggestions would be great!

I have encountered the same error in the past. It results from blocking the Java components.
After launching the Workbench, I get a Warning pop-up with the message that "Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern". The warning then asks if I want to block the components. In my haste I never read the warning and kept clicking on "Yes" which leads to the exact same result you encountered.
The solution for me was to click "No" and allow the component to run.

Meanwhile, if you have access to SE80 only, then you can only develop Webdynpro ABAP Applications. The step by step procedure to create a WD ABAP Application go through the below links for detailed explanations and step by step procedures.

Unable to create a Relational Connection to SAP Netweaver BW Infoprovider

Hi Experts,
I'm tring to create a relational connection to SAP Netweaver BW Infoprovider: Information Design Tool
And have mentioned all the parameters needed for the connection correctly.
Current version is BW 7.4 and IDT 4.1
But m getting the error which is returning from the host due to failed RFC Connection which I have not understood.
Please guide me how to resolve this error and what is the reason behind this error. .

Hi,
Check the attached wiki link to setup RFC connection.If this not already setup then ask your basis team to setup RFC connection.Before creating the IDT connection test the RFC connection in sm59.

if you set the manual call back then add higlighted parameters in the IDT connection.

In my view FICO, SD, MM all the modules do need the functional exposure. Why don't u consider taking up the XI or EP for that matter. It is more exciting and there is world of opportunities available in these new technologies.

go to Help --> Check for Update and get the SOA extension (it will download and install automatically). This then extends JDeveloper with all teh SOA editors

One issue regarding PPDS OP.confirmation from Legal Non-SAP system

Dear Experts
we met a BAPI function issue regarding PPDS Operation.confirmation from Legal Non-SAP system.
scenario is as following:
we want to build the interface between PPDS and non-SAP system, regarding OP. and order confirmation inbound processing.
now we input simulated inbound date and test using BAPI: BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CONFOPRMULTI
but we find a problem, even we set different value for fields ‘ duration’ in function. after call BAPI, It didn't reflect the 'net duration' or 'remaining duration', these fields not changed through check in Tcode:/SAPAPO/RRP3 for single operation.
In the meanwhile , but it works for fields 'confirmed Yield' and fields 'confirmed Scrap' for single operation.
my questions is that: if we need to synchronize the operation confirmation( including confirmed yield,confirmation scrap, duration)，do we use the correct BAPI for this or do we need an additional BAPI, please hints.

Hi Kevin,
Yes you use the right BAPI.
you have to use table OPERATION_CONFIRMATION.
You cannot just set the duration. You have to trigger time event confirmations.
The field duration according to the documentation currently not supported.
You need to use CONFIRMATION_TYPE
0100 Start of Setup
0150 End of setup
0200 Start of processing
0300 Partially complete
0350 Complete
Not sure if all confirmation types are supported by the BAPI.
You can also set start and end time but not sure either whether it is supported or not.
