Regarding Planning Email notification.

Hi Experts,
I am testing Hyperion planning 9.3.1 workflow to give some demo to clients. I am getting the e-mail notification for the flow but I am not able to find URL in email notification for URL to check Status. Can any one help me what is the mistake. Below the mail content

Sorry for the delay response.
I tested the same whether my mail box blocking URL by sending Test mail having URLs, but i am able to get the mails with url. Only the mails having Planning workflow URL are not coming.

Urgent: Regarding Sending Email Notifications

Hi all,
We have scenario in which we have to search those users who has not accessed their accounts from last 2 years and then send them an email notification and after one month of notificatio we have to search those users who have been notified but yet not accessed their account and delete those accounts from LDAP.
For this we are using JNDI to search users. Now we are facing two problems:
1. The users email ids are in the form of List. When we refer this list in To address of Email Template then it gives us an exception: Saying that service not responding, No recepient addresses while in case of hard coded values it runs successfully. I think this is due to that it requires a semicolon(;) seperated list to send email notification. Thats why we thought that we have to use some looping to send the notifications to one user at a time. But if there is any other solution, please suggest.
2. For the scenario of the users to be deleted, how will we come to know whether after two years the users have been notified successfully??
This is really urgent. Please suggest any idea regarding the above issues.

The way to do it would be to put your human task inside a while loop. This while loop would set a variable to the approver's userid and would continue till all the four approve it. In your human task you need just one approver and that would be the variable which the while loop sets.
If you do it this way, then you can use the OOTB notification tab in the .task and select the 'Assignee' as the email notification receiver and you won't have to worry about getting the email ids as well.
As for the current approach which you have, that is of using the sequential approvers in the human task, I haven't tried it, but just try setting the notification tab in the .task to 'Assignee' and event 'On Assignment'. That should do it as well.

Hi,
Do you know how to set the email notifications language ? I'm talking about the email notification you receive when you submit datas on workflow.
I tried to change my internet parameters to change the language to english, but this does not fix the issue.

Email notification sending problem

Anyone can help me regarding my email notification sending.
I have a program developed in netbeans which sends an email notification. Using the jar file generated when building/compiling the program, i created a batch file to run the jar. When i tried transferring the jar file to another pc, the program runs but the email sending does not. Im wondering which i need to check on for the file to run in another pc.

What are the symptoms of 'email sending does not'?
Have you access to the mail server on this second machine?

When a planning unit is promoted from user A to user B then the email alert mechanism fails but if user A rejects a planning unit to user B then email notification functionality works.

Delay sending email to controller regarding FF_ID login notification

We have just donde the configuration for SPM and we are experiencing some delay (about 5, 7 minutes sometimes) regarding email notifications to controller when FF_ID login is done.
Anyone of you have ever experienced this? Is there something that can be configured or depends on the system load?

Hi,
It depends on the backend background job frequency which is scheduled for email. Suppose the job is scheduled to run at the interval of five minutes and the login is done just after the completion of job, then mail will wait till next job gets triggered. Check the job schedule.
Let us know if there is any other reason and solution....because it is just my understanding but not my expereienced analysis.

To stop email notification for a user regarding PR release in workflow

Hi All,
I am new to workflow.
I need to stop an email notification for a user who receives it for PR release.
I checked earlier posts which stated some send email steps in workflow and extended notifications.
But I am not aware of any of this things.
Can you all please help me in resolving this? As i hardly know anything about workflow.
How can i check where this email notification gets triggered or from where it picks the user id?

Identify which workflow is for PR:
Go to T Code SWI2_FREQ
Select the appropriate date range
Work item Type should be (Sub-)Workflow
Execute
You will get the list of ALL workflows triggered during the given time interval
Hopefully, the developers in your system have maintained the correct Work item text and you can identify the PR workflow . Pick the WSxxxxxxxx number from the "task" Column for the PR Workflow
Go to SWDD and analyze this workflow, check for steps which are sending the emails.
(simplest possibility)
Once you find the step, see if this can be blocked for a given user or not (or will it block for everyone).
Reach there and give us the details of the email step and we shall work out a way.
BTW - did you try to ask for the Functional and Technical Specs for this ?
It should contain some details to help you.

I have a two Proxy services proxy service A and Proxy Service B
Proxyservice A takes the XML request from the consumer and puts the message in JMS queue(queueA) and gives an immediate acknowldgment. Proxyservice B picks that message from queue and invokes the provides, if we get any binding fault or remote fault 5 retries are made (Proxy service XA enabled) and message is put into error queue( if we get any business fault the message is put into undelivered queue. So whenever the message is put into the errorqueue an email notification must be sent to the sustain team. and the message must be moved back from error queue to the queueA so that the message is not lost. I could put my message into the error queue. Can any one help me in providing the steps required for email notification and steps required to move the message from errorqueue to queueA

you must configure an email "alert destination" and raise an alert each time a message is written to the error queue.ie you can set an alert for each request count of one.

SAP BPC 10.0 Netweaver : Workstatus email notification sender is the User how to change it ?

I've just set up email notification for Workstatus. I works fine but I've noticed something that won't be accepted by my customer :
I Had created a BPC Service User SMAIL to send email notification. But it is useless since the email notification sender is always the user who actually made the workstatus change.
This is very strange because this means that SAP can send emails IN NAME of Users. By default the email used is the user's email set up in SU01 and if the user has no email the sender mail adresse is : USERID@DEFAULTHOST
Default domain defined in SCOT transaction for SAPCONNECT.
I think that this situation raises a security breach ; to my opinion SAP should not be able to send emails in the name of users.
Do you have any idea to change this situation in order to make all notification emails send by one unique System User as BPCSERVICEMAIL for instance.

The answer to your question #2 is that we won't have SSIS packages in BPC7NW since all SQL server based functionality won't be there in Netweaver version. If you use migration tools to migrate from BPC5.x to BPC7NW, it can convert SSIS packages. However any custom SSIS code would have to be converted manually. EM sending Email Notifications to late

Hello at all,
On a test instance with Oracle 11gR2 with Enterprise Manager Database Control I try to activate the Email Notifications in Enterprise Manager, so that I can use them for monitoring.
So i configured following settings:
Under Setup -> Notification method I gave him a valid mail address with a vaild SMTP server. The test mail was send successfully.
Under Preferences -> General i gave SYS a valid mail address to receive. The execution plan i let in standard configuration, so everytime at everyday i will get an email, when something happenes. the test mail was send successfully too.
Now i created an own rule to test the configuration:
I went to Preferences -> Rules an add an rule. Name and description I named "test" and set "database instance". At availabillity I activated all checkboxed, so i should be informed when the instance goes down, comes up, getting an error, when the error is fixed, when agent is not available, when agebt is available again, when there is a metric error, when the metic error is fixed, when a blackout starts and when it ends.
Metrics, policies and jobs ther wasn't defined anythind in standard, so i let it so and set nothing here.
I activate the checkbox for sending emails to sys and sending repeat emails every 15 minutes 3 times at all.
Now, to test this notification i logged into my testserver and killed the listener process, to see, what will happened. After 1 Hour waiting i didn't get any email, so i restartet the listener. after the listener was startet my outlook was fluted by emails from the server, that the listener was down. But why i didn't get them earlier.
I checked the procedure with the database to, here i get it down by "shutdown abort" and "shutdown immediate". But i get the mails, that the database is down, when its up already. And thats to late!
When I want to use such email notifications for productive servers and someting is going wrong, for that a notifications is configured of course, I want to get the mail directly, when that happened and not, hen the problem is fixed!
For example, here an email from testing, where the listener was down, that i've get at 13:01 :

In the document i read much about directories like: $ORACLE_HOME/oes/admin. My problem here is, that i haven't such directories so i think i'm not using oesmon.
Should i have to use this?

Email Notification API in OIM 11g

Hi,
I would like to send an email in my schedule task.The schedule task is written using 11g APIs.I am planning to use tcEmailNotificationUtil for sending emails.But tcEmailNotificationUtil class expects tcDataProvider and I couldnt get the handle to this,as my schedule task is extending TaskSupport and not the SchedulerBase task?.Is there any way to solve this problem?.I will be happy if i get a sample code to send a email notification using 11g API.Thanks.

SRM 7.0 OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND - static link in Email notification possible

Hello SRM Gurus,
i have a special question regarding OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND and the link in the Email notification. Is it possible to customize table /SAPSRM/C_PORT_C to provide a static link to the SRM Portal and not use the logic to generate this link.
Background: We have a Federal Network Portal in use for HR and BI. But we are planning now to change the concept to a central portal. So we do the Upgrade to SRM 7.0 with a stand alone Portal but we are getting the SSO Ticket from the Producer Portal over a special static link (e.g. http://producer.portal.net:50000/E_SSO?to=https://srm.portal.net:50201/startsrmportal.
For a interims solution i would provide in the offline Emails a static link to go to the SRM Portal with the SSO ticket from the producer portal. I know that is no standard way for the moment, but we need that to provide SSO to the Managers for there approvals. At the moment they get an Login Page with Username and Password. An that is not acceptable for the Managers
My question is now, could i provide a static link in the offline Emails and override the generated link. Or must i do a modification of the OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND Report? We only need this interims solution for 4 month until the new central portal is ready so that we can move with SRM in. A quick solution would be nice.

We are using Solution Manager 7.1 SP 10 and would like to use the "new" email notification with the new standard actions. Nevertheless, it seems that is doesn't work.
Based on what we read, we should not need to create anything anymore as described here Pep Up Your ChaRM - Part 1: HowTo Create a Smart e-Mail Action as we have now 2 actions already created in standard :
But when we try the SEND_MAIL_CHANGE_MANAGER one with the following action definition :
with schedule condition :
and start condition :
SCOT / SO16 / BP are properly configured based on the following thread ChaRM: Approval Settings - Email Functionality in Change Request
No email are triggered when for instance the status is in "validation". Are we missing something ?

Of course, I have the corresponding YMCR actions created.
As it is "scheduled automatically", don't I have some kind of WF or jobs to plan ?
I assume that is not activated by default once you are in SP 10, isn't it ?
Based on the TJ30 table, my manager should received an email once the RfC is on "To be approved" or "Being implemented" status....which is not the case today...
As I am using the same user for testing the flow, I am wondering if it doesn't come from that but I doubt it.
And again, I wonder if there is not configuration to activate for these 2 actions, don't you think ?
