Regarding Prepayments,Authorization and capture of funds

Hi..
I have questions regarding the authorization and capture of funds in 11.5.10.2 when the Prepayment concept is used. I have read in OM manual that the authorization and capture happens in AR while creating a receipt.So how can I know that they happen immediately one after other in AR ??? i mean can I look into any columns of particular tables gets populated when authorization happens and some particular field is populated when capturing happens???
Mainly when prepayments are used does the authorization and capture happen in AR only one after other immediately?????

Hi,
when you create the batch-input session, you could set a user-name with the good authorization.
You could ask anybody to call your batch-input in SM35, the authorization of the transaction inside your batch is check with the username set in the batch.
So how did you create your batch-input session ??

Authorize and Capture Payments with BC?

Does anyone know if in BC you can have all charges set to authorized or be authorized and then process the charge
using the CRM tool once you know the final price and weight of the product?
We have a store that sells products by weight and we need to finalize the weight after the product has been ordered, hence authorize and then capture methods.
I know PayPal pro facilitates this, but does BC provide a way to do this in the system?

I am not too sure if this can be done since BC doesn't save credit card details from the customer and for this process to work they must have a copy of the credit card details in their server.
Why don't you use Get A Quote first then when you have calculated the exact weight add the shipping price to their orders and notify the customer that you are awaiting payment from their end.
I don't know if this will work for you. But that's my thoughts

SCCM 2012 R2: Build and Capture - Windows 8.1 prompting for network

I have upgraded my SCCM 2012 SP1 (CU2) to SCCM 2012 R2 and I am attempting to Build and Capture Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Everything is perfect except for the OS prompting for a network selection during the process, if I click "next" on that screen
the Capture finishes without incident. The same is true of the Deploy as well...
Is this a bug from my upgrade?

When capturing with MDT 2013 on VMware I do not see this, naturaly, since the "machine" only has one network adapter.
But when deploying to a Laptop I get the wireless Setup screen...

We aren't using MDT but what we did was create a package called Windows 8.1 - Compnents. In it placed a file named "32Bit-Unattend.xml" and 1 named "64Bit-Unattend.xml".
During the capture in the "Apply Operating System Image" I put a check in the box "Use an unattended or Sysprep answer file for a custom installation". The package was Windows 8.1 - Compnents the File name was "32Bit-Unattend.xml".
I did the same for 64-bit and used the 64-bit version.

Help regarding BI Authorization

Hi Experts,
I am working for first time on BI analysis authorization and I am having below queries to be clarified. Can you all please clarify my queries and help me.
1. In the project, we will not use HR and will therefore have to do local maintenance of authorizations in each system (for data access, we will also use a central identity management system). This will for sure affect the possibility of the automatic generation of authorizations. My first question is: can it still be used at all (can we load some data via flat-file or maintain some master data in BI)?
2. Is the concept of having queries linked to PFCG roles to be used at all in BI 7 (according to SAP standard), or is the thought that InfoProvider authorization should be used instead via 0TCAIPROV?
3. Is the following a correct way to do authorizations in BI 7, or if there is something that should be changed to comply with standard?
- Make the following characteristics authorization relevant: 0COMP_CODE, 0SALESORG, 0PLANT
- Activate the technical content for analysis authorizations: 0TCA*
- Create authorizations in RSECADMIN, where we link a authorization object to a characteristic value (for instance, assign object: "XY" to characteristic=0comp_code with value=1010)
- Link the authorizations just created to PFCG roles (for instance create a PFCG role "XY access" which gives access to company code 1010).
- Create PFCG roles for "Report User" and "BW Developer" which have access to read respective create/change/delete rights of queries.
- Create PFCG roles with certain queries linked to them.
- Assign the PFCG roles to BW Users.
4. Does the BI 7 authorization concept enable the use of user groups, or should authorizations be assigned on a user to user basis?
5. What happens if I make a characteristic authorization relevant and then include this characteristic in a query and do not do any restriction on this characteristic (i.e. I do not provide any auth values to the system), will I then get an authorization error?
6. If automatic generation of user authorizations is used together with for instance SAP HR and loaded daily, does this mean that any other manual authorization assignments will be deleted/reset upon the next automatic generation?

- Create PFCG roles with certain queries linked to them.
- Assign the PFCG query roles to users.

Here are some insights/replies to the list of questions you supplied. BW Security can be complicated but the trick is NOT to allow the requirements to allow it to be complicated.
1) Are you sure you dont mean the IdM system will assist with role-based access assignments? If that is the question then, yes. For the data access (linked to roles via S_RS_AUTH : Analysis Authorizations) you could employee a flat-file load to DSOs and variable security on the authorizaiton relevant charactistics.
2) Yes, you will need to have authorizations to queries/reports via S_RS_COMP/S_RS_COMP1 still maintained in the roles. The InfoProvider (data access) will be maintained in the Analysis Authorization (S_RS_AUTH). You need to have both in order to successfully pass the auth checks from query/report to data.
3) Fundimentally (BW Security 101) sounds correct but again it typcially depends on the implementation and requirements on how you setup the anaylsis authoriations along with the roles.
4) No sure what you mean about "user groups" Analysis Authorizations can be assigned to "Users" or "Roles". You could always assign roles to user groups via SU10 or via IdM solution.
5) Depends on how its used in the query. If the query is dependant on a value to render the report (included in intial SQL stmt) then you will get "No Authoriation". If its setup as a free characteristic or drill-down, then you wont get authorization error until a statment checks values for authorization.
6) Depends on how it was implemented. refer to #3

Administrator Account Disabled after sysprep and capture task sequence in MDT 2010

We are currently migrating from Windows XP to windows 7. As part of our migration we have 5 base Images (for different areas of the business)
Here is what we are doing:
Create a reference machine with the source files for windows 7 Pro x86
Install applications as part of the Task sequence to build a reference machine.
Make the updates to the machine - required for the build.
Run the Sysprep and capture template to take the capture of the Reference machine.
Import the Capture into the Operating system folder within MDT2010
Create a task sequecne to deploy the image.
Deploy the Image for Testing.
Deploy the image to a machine
Update the machine with the defects
Re Capture the deployed machine and call it ver2.wim
re deploy ver2.wim
Testers test
Defects logged + additional user settings to be captured in the build
Re capture and sysprep runs says the capture has been succesful however after a reboot the administrator account is disabled.
We cant seem to capture anything from here on in. Nothing has been changed in the unattend.
Autologon is set to enable the administrator account and the password is set to blank as this is then handled by policy when the machine is joined to the domain - we have not enabled the unattended join to the domain at this point in time but it will be
for deploying the image.
Have we got our image strategy wrong? does the same rule apply about sysprep running more than 3 times on a single machine if it is captured and redeployed after a sucessfully sysprep to the same hardware or even different hardware.

    One of the things Sysprep/WAIK do is disable the adminsitrator account.
    You mentioned that you are setting the autologing to the administrator account and that you are setting it with a blank password, you can add a simple command in to sysprep's xml to reenable the account:

Aperture 3 and Capture NX 2

I'm evaluating both trial versions of Aperture 3 and Nikon's Capture NX 2. I shoot with a Nikon D90, and I'm trying to develop a consistent workflow which might use the best features of both Aperture 3 and Capture NX 2. I also tend to shoot a lot of RAW pictures which are stored as NEF files. While my trial version of Capture NX 2 can display pictures in my iPhoto library, in it's browser, the program doesn't see the Aperture Library and therefore doesn't display any of the pictures in the Aperture Library. Has anyone else seen this? I'm still trying to decide the best workflow and would be interested if others have successfully integrated Aperture 3 and Capture NX 2 into their workflows.

That's exactly what you would expect to see when you try open the Aperture Library with Capture EX 2.
(BTW you know this is the iPhoto 08 forum, right?)
Aperture is a database. If you want to process Raws with NX then you'll need to either process them before importing to Aperture or use an app like Catapult ( http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31765/catapult/) to use it in association with Aperture.

SCEP Build and Capture

Is it a best practice to install SCEP together with its definition updates during build and capture? If yes, will the definition updates get installed during the "Install Software Update" step?

Yes they will get updated, I normally don't include it in the image though but if you decide to do check out Chris Nackers post on how to install SCEP in a Task Sequence and update it as well, it is also great when deploying SCEP in the TS.

Questions about iMac Core i7 Photoshop and Capture One performance.

Hello Everyone,
I am in the market for a new Mac and was thinking about the iMac Core i7.
Now my question is, how the performance in Photoshop is for that machine ?
I work on 24 Mpix raws and occasionaly on 30-40+ Mpix raws from Medium Format cameras.
My files quickly get up to 100 layers and I only work in 16 bit, so I am a little bit concerned if such an iMac would meet my expectations and the files get 1, 2 or 3 GB big. I would definately pump as much RAM inside as possible to get more speed.
What are your experiences ?
And the other thing I would like to know is how Capture One performs on that machine regarding tethered shooting and Batch Processing files into Jpegs ?

If I am going to buy that iMac i definately would buy some Kingston Ram, not the apple one way too overpriced.
I am also concerned about the R/W speed of the iMac. What are you experiences with FW drives as Raid-sets ?
I also can't wait for CS 5. The 64 Bit version would definately speed up things and photoshop could finally access more than 3 GB of RAM and hope this will end my concernes about scratch disks.
@Wade: Partitioning the internal hard drive and using the second partition as scratch disk is not good. The needle of the drive would go crazy skipping between partitions.Never have the scratch disk on the same disk as photoshop. Also it would decrease your hard drives lifetime.

OnLeadSelect - What kind of logic do you want? There are many different things that you could do inthe OnLeadSelect
onFilter- Generally you use IF_WD_TABLE_METHOD_HNDL~APPLY_FILTER to perform the filter operation.
In the onFilter itself you probably just have one line of code:
wd_this->table_method_hndl->apply_filter( ).
In your WDDOMODIFYVIEW you probably have this code to capture the table_method_hndl object:
if first_time = abap_true.
* Get reference of the table view element
l_table ?= view->get_element( 'TABLE' ).
* Get reference to the Filter & Sorting API
wd_this->table_method_hndl ?= l_table->_method_handler.

Please it is urgent
Can you give me list of T.Code to Check User Authorisatiosn and Obects for the Particular Transaction code.

Hi Sunder,
You can use PFCG tcode to check the object of particular transaction code.
Execute PFCG and create temp role. Enter tcode in Menu and go to Authorization and click Change authorization profile and here you will get all the object related to that tcode.

Credit CARD Authorization and authentication

we are taking following input from user
credit card number

card expiry date(Month and Year)
Card Holder Name (As appear on card)
how can we do Master card Authorization and authentication

Credit Card Authorisation means - When you swipe your card at any merchant outlets, it depends upon the merchant aggrement with the Acquirer Bank the transaction will taken plance either online or offline.
Below the merchant floor limit , merchant will authorise the transaction and the same will be send as settlement at the end of the Day by merchant to Acquirer Bank.
Online means, the transaction will be acquired at merchant outlet and the transaction message send to acuirer bank- if the transactions belongs to acquirer bank then, Acquirer will approve the transactions and the response will be send back to the merchant to approve the transactions.
If the transactions not belongs to acquirer bank ( off_us transactions ) then the transactions will be sent to service provider ( VISA / MASTER CARD / DINNERR CLUB etc ).. then Payment Gateway will route the transactions to the Issuer and Issuer will approve / decline the request and send back the response , in the same way the acquirer bank will receive the resoponse and forward the same to the Merchant to approve or decline the transactions.
The question which you had asked is simple - but it is too big, because, I can give you the answer in one line as well as in depth more techincal in 1000 lines too..
