Regarding proxy

Dear Team,
We are using Internet through LAN proxy and connected in domain
To set proxy -> IE->Tools->Internet Options->Connections->LAN Settings
I click on Use a proxy server for your LAN square box, the below IP address and Port fields will be enabled.
But in my case not enabled
I checked with advance options-> click advanced
<loop back> entered in automatically and 127.0.0.1 ip typed in the above IP address field
Please give solutios to us.

Maybe I misunderstand your point, if you configure the group policy in you domain controller, you can get the related settings in client side:

Why you want SOAP UI to test Proxy to SOAP scenario? no need, trigger proxy program in ECC,it will send data to SOAP receiver.
You required WSDL for receiver structure, i hope you have compledted your development.

Regarding proxy generation for 1:n mapping

Hi Experts,
I am using 1:N mapping for a file to RFC scenario. I have one file at sender side and 3 RFCs in the receiver side. These RFCs belong to a BI system. Now I need to generate proxies for these. I am not getting the proxies in SPROXY. How can do this. How can I generate proxies for these 3 RFCs.Please help me.

If u r thinking about both multimapping and use of server proxy, then u have to use BPM.
If we import the RFCs in external definition , can we generate proxies for RFC.
Yes, but this would not exactly mean that you are generating proxies for RFC. It would just mean that you are generating proxies for an interface which has same structure as that of RFC. Therefore RFC at receiver end won't be called.

Can somebody clarify the following? I need urgent clarifications/
1. Can Proxy service only be a Web-service, i.e. WSDL dependent?
2. What about Business Services? What are the different ways you can host your Business Service?
3. How does the client connect to Proxy Service generally?Is it using the endpoint URI or the hostname/port info or by some method call?
Finally can somebody share code samples for use cases that use already developed transport providers like TCP, File etc.? I tried to use a file as input to the Proxy Service, but how to specify XSL transformations to the XML data that are in the file, as a stage in the Proxy Service pipeline?

1. No it can be any kind of request: binary, text, xml...
2. ALSB support a lot of different transport/protocols:
EMAIL, FTP, FILE, HTTP, JMS, EJB, TUXEDO. In ALSB 3.0 we will add support for ERPs: SAP, SIEBL ..., MQ native and SFTP
3. It depends on the transport. For example for file, the client drops a file in the file system, for http it opens a http connection to the URL http://host:port/address etc...
4. TCP/Socket transport is provided as a sample transport in ALSB 2.5 and 2.6. You can look in the weblogic92/samples/servicebus folder. You can also write your own transport if you like. There is a public SDK.

Regarding proxy service

Hi,
Can a proxy service with "wsdl web service" as the service type be routed to a proxy service with "any xml" as the service type. In other words, can a proxy service based on wsdl be routed to any xml based proxy service?
Another doubt : Is "any xml" proxy service same as local transport proxy service.

This is possible. I am not sure if the message will keep the soap-envelope or not when sent to the business service.

Keep getting error regarding proxy server. Try to reset to no proxy and it won't reset to "no proxy"

I cannot get on a website using Mozilla. I cleared my history the other day and since then I can't get on Mozilla. I called my internet provider and had to reset the proxy for Google Chrome and Internet Explorer and they reset but I try to reset to no proxy and it resets to manual proxy and I uninstalled and restalled Mozilla but it still won't work. Not sure what else to do.

Regarding proxy and adapter

In the doc, it is said that for SAP WAS > 6.20, we can develop interface and use proxy. So why we still use SOAP adapter when connecting to web service, Is it a must?

Proxies are interfaces which will get executed in the application system. They can be created only in the system from message interfaces using the proxy generation functions.
You can use proxies for systems with WAS >=6.20
XI will communicate in native language with SAP systems via proxies. Proxies uses XML - SOAP based communication for both ABAP and Java Proxies
Proxy generation generates classes and structures for the interfaces and data types written in WSDL. The range of commands in the Integration Builder is restricted to a suitable WSDL subset for system integration."
The WSDL are generated for the Message Interface created, so Proxies use the SOAP protocol, Proxy is not a substitute for SOAP but if you want to perform some operations in R/3 then it is helpful to use ABAP proxy.
ABAP proxy generation gets the WSDL description for message interfaces from the Integration Repository (WSDL Web Service Description Language) by using http. In WSDL, data that is transferred using messages is described using XSD (XML Schema Definition Language).
The Integration Builder does not support the full range of WSDL (for message interfaces) and XSD (for data types) commands; this is not the case for WSDL in the Web service infrastructure, however.
Proxies are used only when sender/receiver and SAP XI understand XI message format. The one most important difference between a proxy and adapter is that the adapter converts the sender/receiver format to the XI message format but where as proxy does not need to do that as they natively understand the XI message format.
For a webservice you should use eitehr a SOAP adapter or HTTP adapter. If your interfaces are going to connect SAP then I would rather suggest to use proxies. If they are externally located and if they are third party interfaces then we can go for webservices

Problem with socket connections through a proxy server.

People,
I set the system properties to use a proxy server so my application can fetch data from servers located outside my local network:
System.setProperty("socksProxyPort", port);
System.setProperty("socksProxyHost", proxy_addy);Then, when I attempt to stabilish a connection:

I appreciate any help since my available Java documentation is quite obscure regarding proxy servers.

I have an small confusion regarding Proxy services in OSB. Do we have to create a Proxy service from some wsdl file only or can we create a proxy service without a wsdl in OSB and If yes then how to invoke it from BPEL process.

Proxy error- unable to find software component version for namespace-

Hi all,
I need help regarding proxy.
I am using SAP standard package for one integration PI 7.0 to SRM.
Here we need to use the datatype enhancement for adding some fields. So I create one extension_datatype in the datatype enhancement and add the fields .
( I am using Inbount interface, where I am adding the new fields in PI)
Now when I go to SRM system and Run SPROXY system to regenerate the Proxy. So that It can reload the New fields.
Then it reloads and We activate the same.
Now at one place when I clicked the data type enhancement object its giving the error that unable to find software component version for namespace" . I did not understand why its giving the error. I added the new fields in the existing running datatype enhancement. and reload the reproxy.
I have one more datatype enhancement object in the same software component and in the same name space but its not giving the error.
Please help , how to resolve it asap.

1.the datatype enhancement object may not be activated in the same software component .
for this try these -
after creating your data types and designing part. First close all the developement objects windows.
then click on your sw component which you have created and activate it very first.
then you will be able to activate all other objects
or when you start activating your data types a new window with list of the objects which you want to activate opens
in this new window you can see your sw component as the very last object select it first and activate it
2. update the cache in both system
i think these 2 reasons.u try it.

ABAP Proxy Activsation Error

Hi:
I am tryign to activate an ABAP Proxy in an ECC backend, and I get an error 'No Vendor Specified' with no further details, and the activation is terminated. Has anyone seen this, and what needs to be done to fix this.
BTW:I am using SAP PI 7.0(SP13) as the middleware and ECC6.0 (Basis SP16). I can see and generate my proxies and all objects. All my dictionary objects can be activated individually, and the Messages. However, its only the proxy that does not get activated.

STEP1:
1.TCP\IP connections
1.1.LCRSAPRFC
1.2.SAPSLDAPI
2.Settings are to be done in SLDAPICUST transaction
3.Http Connection: -
3.1.PI_INTEGRATIONSERVER
Purpose of LCRSAPRFC:
In order to get the interface details in SPROXY transaction.
Purpose of SAPSLDAPI
To connect to SLD and get the respective business system name maintained in SLD,
Purpose Of SLDAPICUST
Next Execute transaction SLDAPICUST to maintain the SLD access data.
Purpose of PI_INTEGRATIONSERVER
Create a destination of type H in transaction SM59.This connection is used to send the message to the Integration server
Check all these connections are there or not in ECC.

I am unable to apply updates

Hello, Jeff.
I have the most up-to-date version and am NOT using a proxy, yet I run into this same issue. I'm able to apply updates and otherwise interact with my installed apps but they are unable to connect and verify my subscription which of course just rubs salt in the wound as I would MUCH rather be using a standalone application rather than this buggy cloud version.
Please advise how I can address this issue.

Error handling at JDBC Receiver

I am currently working on PI 7.31. This is regarding proxy to JDBC scenario using insert statement in the JDBC receiver. I would like to know is there any feature in JDBC receiver which allows the process to continue even after any data error in the insert statement by skipping the error records and finally collecting all error records and sending through alert configuration to the administrator. Currently process stops whenever any error happens in insert statement at JDBC receiver.

I would suggest you to go with SP.
By default, PI will handle the transaction and in case of any errors it will rollback the entire statement. So u can allow SP to handle the transactions by asking ur DB team to create a SP with a try/catch statement and in case of any errors while performing DML operations catch those exceptions and log those erroneous records in some exception log table and continue the SQL process.
Eventually, either using SQL mailer or some windows services u can send a consolidated mail to the stakeholders. Just check with ur DB team since these are very normal stuff so i am quite sure ur DB admin would certainly help u on the same.
