Regarding Receiver Determination

Hi Everyone,
      Would anyone clarify, in <b>Receiver Determination</b> under <b>Receiver details</b>
<b>"Party"</b> and <b>"Service" values are" * "by default.</b>
<b>why these values are * ?</b>
Regards,
Varun Reddy.K

Hi Varun,
      Specifying Receivers
You can specify receiver parties and receiver services. To specify the receiver in more detail, you have the following options:
&#9679;     Select the receiver from the Integration Directory
&#9679;     Specify a constant value for the receiver
&#9679;     Determine the receiver dynamically from the message content
To enter the necessary details, use the following:
&#9679;     The party editor for specifying the receiver party
&#9679;     The service editor for specifying the receiver service
To call the relevant editor, in the Display/Edit Receiver Determination editor in the Configured Receivers frame, call the Input Help ( ) in either the Party or Service column.
Defining Conditions
You also have the option of specifying the conditions to be applied when forwarding a message to the receiver(s) in a receiver determination.
Generally, a condition relates to the contents of a message; if a specified condition is fulfilled for a particular payload element (the corresponding element has a certain value, for example), then the message is forwarded to the specified receiver(s).
&#9679;     If you want to specify a new condition for forwarding the message to a receiver, in the table in the Display/Edit Receiver Determination editor in the Configured Receivers frame, choose Insert New Condition () and call the condition editor by using the input help ().
&#9679;     If you want to specify a new condition for forwarding the message to multiple receivers, in the table in the Display/Edit Receiver Determination editor in the Configured Receivers frame, choose Insert Line After Selection ( ) and call the condition editor  by using the input help ().
In the condition editor, you can select an element from the message payload and specify a value with which the value of this element is to be compared at runtime.

  • Regarding receiver determination problem in IDOC-XI-XML file scenario

    Dear All ,
    In IDOC-XI-xml file scenario , I have configured SLD , IR . But in ID , after file adapter , reciever agreement configuration when I am doing receiver determination configuration I am not able to insert mapping program in configuration overview of receiver determination as I am not getting "New Specific" option in mapping .
    Can anybody suggest what could be the reason behind this .
    Thanks in Advance
    Prabhat

    Hi PRabhat,
    In RCVR determination, you need to select the party & service (as appropriate) save the obeject
    then refresh the configuration overview of recr det.
    then you can see the partner/service
    then you can open it & add the necessary objects.

  • Question regarding Receiver Determination and Differente Namespaces

    Dear sirs,
    I have the following scenario:
    I have a mail account read by a sender communication channel IMAP4 in namespace http://a. The message is sent to a receiver communication channel type XI delivering to an ABAP Proxy at the same namespace. Everything works fine here.
    I need to split the route: Reading the same mail account and depending on the message received send it to an ABAP Proxy of namespace http://A or namespace http://B. The receiver determination does not allow to configure destinations of different namespaces.
    Please someone could give me an idea how to solve this issue?
    Thank you in advance.
    Fabio Purcino

    Hi,
    I have already two receiver agreement and two mapping programs but I'm not able to set these programs on interface mapping  because it's on a different namespace.
    I attached a image of my interface determination configuration.

  • Receiver Determination Understanding Question

    Hi Guys,
    I have a question regarding receiver determination in a scenario where I have to send Orders Idocs to multiple Suppliers. For each supplier I would create a new partner with a corresponding communication channel. Since I have one Business system sending the orders idoc I have to set up receiver determination to work correctly. Are there any documents for this kind of scenario?
    Regards,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    Why do you need any document? Its very simple, you can create it.
    1. Create one Receiver determination.
    2. Add as many receiver services in that single receiver determinaiton as you want.
    3. Create interface determination and receiver agreement for each receiver services.
    Pls reward points if it helps you!

  • Some PI questions regarding RFC and  receiver determination

    If we import the design objects in one customer system from another customer system , and in the original system there is an imported RFC ,
    This RFC has been created in the new SAP customer system.
    My question is do we have to import the RFC again , as it is already in the imported design objecs.
    My second question is , di we need to create a receiver determination for the answe in a synchronous send step of the BPM ,
    Thanks

    My question is do we have to import the RFC again , as it is already in the imported design objecs
    Yes....the RFC/ IDOC should be imported from the system to/ from which you will send/ receive the data.
    If the RFC was in system1 earlier and now in system2.....then you have to delete the RFC imported from system1 (if it is not used) and then import it from system2
    My second question is , di we need to create a receiver determination for the answe in a synchronous send step of the
    BPM ,
    Irrespective of sync/ async send step.....you should create Receiver Determination....which will have BPM as sender and the TO_SYSTEM as receiver.....not separately for response....just once

  • Regarding where to find namespace when create receiver determination

    Hi all :
          Could you please tell me how to find or how to create namespace , as it is needed when create
    receiver determination .  Thank you very much!

    HI Sony,
    Do you mean how to select the Namespace in the Receiver Determination ?
    You have to use the Name space of the Sender Interface in the Receiver Determination. The Namespace should create in Integration Repository after importing the Software Component from the SLD.
    You can get the namespace from the Search help in the Receiver Determination.

  • Regarding using context object in Receiver determination.

    Hi All,
    I want to  implement a scenario where with following requirnment .
    i have one sender and multiple receivers.
    i have to retrive some feild value and based on the its value i have to route the message in receiver determination step by writing the condition.
    for this i have a source structure , from that i read one feild , based on that feild i do lookup.(the value of destination which i am getting is at intermidiate stage not in request message)
    If i define Xpath or context object it shows the request message in the contion editor , but i dnt  have the destination in request message.
    is there any way i can  assign the Xpath for the intermidiate MT which i have created to store the destination value.
    Please dont give me the link which point to help.sap page ..i have gone through it and it says that request msg only can be assigned context object.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    In your case Enhanced receiver determination will work.A typical usage case is if you do not yet know the names of the receivers at configuration time. In this case, you can define a mapping program, for example, which reads a list of receivers from a table or from the payload of the message at runtime.
    For configuration check the link

  • Receiver determination step in the BPM and multiline container

    i have made a file2file scenario where:
    there is a BPM,
    the BPM has a send step which contains a receive step,
    a transformation that mapps the incomin message to two messages(Split-messgae case),
    and then a FORK step which sends the two messges to through 2 SEND steps to the intended receiver services.
    It didnt work......and i followed a blog->  /people/sudharshan.aravamudan/blog/2005/12/01/illustration-of-multi-mapping-and-message-split-using-bpm-in-sap-exchange-infrastructure   ............... which suggested to have a
    "receiver-determination" step in the BPM before the SEND step.... it says that this
    "receiver-determination" step will put the message in a MULTILINE container..
    i m confused bout this step ........ can anybody explain.....
    please help

    HI,
    In receiver determination step selctthe multi line container element.in container editor create the one element with type as receiver and select the check box.
    A Receiver Determination step returns set of receivers configured for the output abs interfaces in the directory and puts it into receiver which is a multiline container receiver element

  • File name based routing in Receiver determination

    Hi experts,
    I have a requirement to do receiver determination based on file names which are dynamic.To put it clearely, i will be having two files in my source File location and i need to route it based on the file name to two target systems.
    The file name are like Month(changes everymonth)_TargetSys1 and month_targetSys2.
    I dont need any conversions ,so i am not using any IR objects.
    To pick files i kept *.txt in sender channel, and in receiver determination  condition i was trying to use context object called 'Filename'.But it doesnt work asthe file name changes every month.
    Is there any option to take substring from the input file name (say targetSys2 from month_targetSys2.) and put it as a condition for receiver determination.
    There is not DT or structure of the incoming file , as there are no modification to be done with the content.
    Regards,
    Anika

    you need to have the structure in case you want to route it via the xpath.
    Else another option is to code the enhanced receiver determination and using a java mapping with dynamic configuration read the filename and then dynamically create the receiver determination.

  • Multiline Check in Receiver Determination

    Hi All,
    Can anyone explain me the exact functionality of the multiline checkbox in receiver determination.
    Lets say I have the following input message
    <node1>
           <value>21</value>
    </node1>
    <node1>
           <value>22</value>
    </node1>
    <node1>
           <value>23</value>
    </node1>
    I want the receiver to be determined only if the value is 23, does multiline has anything to do with this.
    Regards,
    Varun.

    Hi,
    In conditional receiver determination when you check multiline that signifies that you are expecting
    1. the values of the field to be multiple and selecting multiline you consider the bunch of the values to be in one array of string.
    2.And when you put the condition to check for a specific value it checks in the whole array whether ant element of the array matches with the condition.Like the condition(23) IN the array or not.
    So your query is similar.You can do with this.
    cheers,
    Abhishek.

  • BPM step Receiver Determination

    Hello Friends,
    the operator "Receiver Determination" - how can be used in BPM? Is there any weblog or example for that?

  • Multiline in receiver determination

    Dear all,
    my payload is like this:
    <item>
          <WERK>PLANT_A</WERK>
          <RCODE>99</RCODE>
        </item>
        <item>
          <WERK>PLANT_A</WERK>
          <RCODE>0</RCODE>
        </item>
        <item>
          <WERK>PLANT_A</WERK>
          <RCODE>0</RCODE>
        </item>
    Only if WERK is like PLANT_A  AND RCODE is 99 then he should send
    the message else he should ignore it automatically.
    So in this message are three recipes in one message to the same plant,
    but only one got an error.
    I also marked multiline in XPath editor, but he does not send a message, but
    stop the complete message.
    My conditions
    /rfc:PROCESS_MESS_GET_RETURN_CODE/MSHD/item/WERK = PLANT_A   AND
    /rfc:PROCESS_MESS_GET_RETURN_CODE/MSHD/item/RCODE <> 0
    I also tried:
    /rfc:PROCESS_MESS_GET_RETURN_CODE/MSHD/item[WERK='PLANT_A']/RCODE='0'
    with operatro EX, but it also doesn't work.
    Is it possible with a normal receiver determination or do I have to use the extended version?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Chris

    Thanks for your replies.
    I finally made it like this:
    /rfc:PROCESS_MESS_GET_RETURN_CODE/MSHD/item[RCODE>0]  EX
    AND
    /rfc:PROCESS_MESS_GET_RETURN_CODE/MSHD/item/WERK =  "PLANT_ID"
    This seems to work even with multiline payloads

    Chris

  • Dynamic Receiver Determination [W/O using BPM] Sync interface

    I have been exploring options w.r.t. performance sensitive service interface.
    This has following issues :
    1. Gets a org code looking up instance and route the msg. accordingly to an RFC and get response back.
    2. Prominent answer would be Enhanced receiver determination step but that doesnt work in sync case.
    3. Classic Receiver Determination needs the condition to be evaluated in source msg. which is not going to happen.
    4. Use BPM i designed one but performance its not all acceptable it has a round trip of 10Sec.
    are there any ways to overcome this ?

    Hi Bujji,
    can you explain the point 1.
    <i>1. Gets a org code looking up instance and route the msg. accordingly to an RFC and get response back.</i>
