Regarding restriction on the size of attachments

Hi Team,
I need to restrict the size of the attachment when we create a shopping cart to less than 1MB.
I am able to restrict it, but it is working fine only for a single attachment.
When I attach more than one attachment(total size more than 1MB) I can throw an error message to the user but when he deletes the attachment making the total size less than 1MB the message is still there.
Please share your experience if worked on the same.

Hi
try to do with BBP_CONT table and BBP_DOC_CHECK badi validations and find the attachmnet for each sc or item.
Note 848909 - Size of the table BBPCONT is very big.
Note 1030777 - Follow-on note to 848909. Size of the table BBPCONT is big

  • Restrictions on the size of blog entry

    When I publish a blog entry 200 words about it is appeared properly. But if I write a great article, I see only a blank space on the blog page. But on the front page of the blog in summary form, everything is fine. Does anyone know what is the problem.

    You might take a look at your System Profiler description of the machine.  Select "About this Mac" from the Apple menu, then click the "More Info" button (at least that's what is says in Tiger).  Or you can just launch System Profiler from the Utilities folder.
    In either event, you will open to a Hardware Overview like this (except yours will be for the laptop)
    Hardware Overview:
      Machine Name:          Power Mac G5
      Machine Model:          PowerMac7,2
      CPU Type:          PowerPC 970  (2.2)
      Number Of CPUs:          2
      CPU Speed:          2 GHz
      L2 Cache (per CPU):          512 KB
      Memory:          5 GB
      Bus Speed:          1 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:          5.1.4f0
    (Note, if you post, do not post your machine's serial number, which will be in the display.)
    That being said, my TiBook from 2003 now has a 160G Hitachi Travelstar in it, which was the largest IDE little drive I could get at the time.  If your machine is in that time frame or newer, you can put in pretty much anything they make now.  Of course, if it is truly a MacBook, then the SATA laptop drives are getting very big.
    You can get some more information at this OWC link which will allow you to see how big an IDE drive you can put into a G5 PowerBook.

  • Is there a limitation on the Size of Attachments to SBO Documents?

    Hi, Experts.
    Is there a size limitation to the Attachments that you can Attatch to an SBO Document like an Activity?
    Does this depend only on the Hardware Specifications, or does SBO also limit the Size of Attachments?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Marli

    Hi Marli,
    There is no limitation on the size of attachment. Otherwise also, SBO stores only the name of the file and copies it to the attachment folder. Since, in SBO, only the name is stored, therefore the size of the attachment does not matter.

  • Since upgrade, I can't now tell the size of attachments added to email and the attachment link from the icon doesn't work properly. How can these be addressed?

    Since the upgrade to mozilla and to windows was installed on my computer, when I use my hotmail account with mozilla, I now cannot tell the size of attachments. Previously you could see the size of attachments but now when the cursor passes over the attachment, this works on Internet explorer but not Mozilla. Also, the icon for attachments often doesn't work, nor the "send as an online document" nor the "No thanks" icon.

    The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
    Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
    If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
    "Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
    You need to remove the checkmark on "Always use private browsing mode" to leave Private Browsing mode or chose the "Remember History" setting.

  • Limit the size of Attachments in Portal

    Dear Group,
    I have a question. We're on SRM 7.0 + EP. In SRM 4+5 it was possible to limit the file size for attachments. Now in SRM 7.0 is not possible in the same way. This is a huge problem as users upload big files which are then sent-out by mail to the approvers. This causes lot's of traffic and some of the attachments even exceeds the file limit for the e-mails. We could easily switch off the send-out but this not what the clients wants to have.
    I know that there is a badi around which can be implemented but I wonder if there is a customizing in SRM which can be used to limit the file size for attachments to a Shopping Cart.
    Any Idea?
    BR Jens

    Hi Krishnan,
    If you look at most of the major documents (FI line items, purchase order, invoice, delivery, etc.) there will be a little dropdown icon in the upper left corner of the screen beside the "Display Document:" title and below the execute button.
    That icon is the 'Services for Object' button. Clicking on it will display a small popup window with several options including one for creating attachment, create note, create external document, etc.
    We want to limit the file size of the attachments to 2mb.  How can we set that limit.
    thanks,

  • Why does Mail change the size of attachments

    I have been trying to send som JPEG files to a client.  These files are no more than 450 kb.  They were made in Adobe Illustrator CS5.  The file sizes on my Mac are below 450 kb, yet when I attach them to an e-mail the size plummets to 31.3 kb, making them totally unusable for my client.  I do not see any setting in Mail that would affect the file size of an attachment.  I've attached files before with no problem.  I do not know if this is because it's a JPEG.  Unfortunately JPEG is the file format that they need.  So to get arounfd this I've uploaded them to my server... but it would be so much easier to just be able to attach them to an e-mail.
    Does anyone have a reason why this is happening?
    Thanks in advance!

    Steve626 is onto it. Follw his directions.
    "If so, when you attach the picture file to the email message, look in the lower right of the mail message window and there is a pop up window that lets you specify the size of the pciture file attachment. "
    Load the image into the message then look for the "Image Size" Bottom right hand corner.
    Works for me on my Mail Version 4.6 (1085).
    cheers

  • Is there a limit to the size of attachments sent by Apple Mail 6.2

    Sometime when I send an attachment with my emails it goes to by draft mailbox instead of being sent out.  What's the deal with this? Is there a size limit that Apple imposes on me.com or cloud.com account?

    There is generally a limit set by ALL ISPs or email account providers on attachments.  By default (for most anyway) it's 5MB, but some have been known to have more and some can even have unlimited, but the receiver of your email may have a lesser one in which case it won't send through anyway and bounce back to you with a 5.x.x error indicating attachment size blocks.  Because of this, most ISPs in the world have tried to standardize on what's currently considered as a "manageable file attachment size".
    Also, according to iCloud info, their limit is 20MB for the entire email (message body and attachment).

  • How to increase the size of attachments?

    Have also tried to put in the BPM Object that represents the file as separated but the problem also remains.
    Someone would tell me how can I increase this size?

  • Limiting/controllong the size of the attachments

    Hi,
    I have developed a PDF form(which contains a SUBMIT button), and an application that processes it. As the PDF may contain files attached, the problem I face is: is there a way to limit or control the size of the complete PDF(including the attached files) that the user tries to send?
    I imagine it exits, but I'm not able to find it.
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    My research shows that there is no way to limit the size of attachments to a PDF. I suggest you enter it as an emhancement.

  • Calculate size of attachments FI documents

    Dear all,
    I need to calculate the size of attachments FI documents. Can I calculate the weight of the attachments in BD? What table stored? And the most important: is there a formula or mechanism to calculate how the base will grow in the future according to documents containing attach?
    Were using standard functionality SAP-DB (not external like IXOS).
    Thanks!

    RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL
         Export to function the server address,
         The function returns the files.
    GUI_GET_FILE_INFO
         Export to function the files (addres + file name), example: folder/file.txt
         The function returns the size
    The base will grow regarding the files and the size... if you have a day average you can foresee.
    If you don't have a average and the user can upload any number any time, create a program that calculate the size and sends a message (like e-mail) after the server have X megas. And you can create a job to this program to send automaticaly an alert e-mail.

  • What does not affect the size of the classfile

    Hi
    does inclusion of extra whitespaces affect the size of the classfile (that gets created after compiling).
    does inclusion of java comments increases the size of the classfile.
    are there any other things that when included, does not affect the size of the classfile.

    Madhu_1980Shouldn't you be worried about getting your program working by using the right constructs rather than constructs which result in a smaller .class file?
    Are you restricted on the sizes of your .class files?

  • How to restrict the Number of attachments

    Hi All,
    I would like to restrict the Number of Attachments,
    I found many threads on how to restrict the size on the attachments.
    Is there any standard way(profile or setup) to restrict the number of attachments
    Other Option is
    When the user try to add attachments, I need to get the Entity, PRIMARY key and
    query FND_ATTACHED_DOCUMENTS count and through an error message.
    Not sure how easy it is.
    If anybody tried this requirement please share the logic to achieve the same.
    Thanks,
    With Regards,
    Kali.

    Hi All,
    I have achieved using the below logic, in the ProcessFormRequest,
    String eventParam = pageContext.getParameter(EVENT_PARAM);
    if("oaAddAttachment".equals(eventParam))
    String pkValue = pageContext.getParameter("PKEYID");
    String attachmentCountQry = "SELECT count(*) FROM fnd_attached_documents WHERE entity_name = <EONAME> AND pk1_value = "+pkValue ;
    //Execute the query and get the count,
    int attachmentsCountInt = executeQuery(attachmentCountQry );
    if(attachmentsCountInt >=2)
    throw new OAException("Add only 2 attachments");
    With Regards,

  • Restrict the size of attachements,Badi

    Hi All,
    Is there any badi that checks the size of the fiiles that we are attaching to the attachements in SRM, I want to restrict the files which are more in size than the allowed limit. As well, is there badi to restirct the count (number of attachements )of the attachements that we are attaching to the attachements in SRM?

    Hi Lokesh,
    I think the BADI BBP_ATT_CHECK will be very useful in your case.
    Also have a look at the following OSS Note:
    Note 728058 - 3.5-4.0: Additional checks for attachments
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
