Regarding reversing a SAP note

Hi all ,
I implemented SAP note 921164 ( for MB51 performance improvement) .System suggested few other notes to be implemented as a prerequisite and I did the same. Right now , I want to cancel all the SAP notes implemented and implement only 921164 again. Is it possible to do the same ?
When I go to transaction SNOTE and click on "Cancel SAP note implementation", it doesn't work ; as any note I click on it says - This note has been installed as a prerequisite , so cannot be reversed. Any clues on how to go about reversing the effects of such inter-dependent SAP notes ?

Hi,
In fact you can't directly reverse a payment document.
first you need to reset in FBRA and then it should be reversed in FB08.
Any way for your question, please find my answer.
if you want to reverse a reversal document, go to FBR2 and enter your document no.,company code and fiscal year.
select the generate reversal posting check box under flow control. it will be reversed.

Hi Gurus,
We have prepared a program with SAP NOTE 175842 for reversing stock posting.My client has done GR in march 09 and quality peoples have posted to unrestricted stock in same month.Now because of some reason stores person want to cancel GR. So we have reversed the posting for the lot in April using the programme.Now when stores person try to cancel GR in month of march system is giving error "Deficit of SL St.in QI prev. 14.800 MT ".Because we have reversed the posting from unrestricted to quality in april and we are trying to cancel GR in March system is giving above error.
Is there any settings such that in stock reversing program we can enter the date, so that on a particular date we can reverse the stock.Because in current situation we can enter lot no. only or is there any other solution to overcome this situation

Yes system will not allow you to cancel GR for March when Reversal stock posting was done in April.
Because it will consider the status of stock when GR was made.
Which movement type you have used for reversal From Unrestricted to Quality.
Was it the activation of 08 & then 322.
If it is so then cancellation of GR will not take place through original GR document(as it is in unrestricted), It will give error msg if you give reference of same.
Even GR can not be cancelled based on 08 inspection lot as 08 is not wrt PO.

Clarification on SAP Note 961897

Hi,
We are currently on SAP BASIS 620 --> SAPKB62052.
With regard to the SAP Note 961897, it has been mentioned that the problem mentioned in the note has been solved in SAP BASIS SAPKB62062, I understand that, if our SP is below SAPKB62062, then we should implement the note corrections.
But, If we go and see the correction instruction 803799 relevant for 620 release, it has been mentioned that the correction instruction is only valid for SAPKB62055-SAPKB62061.
Just to try out, I also downloaded the same note through SNOTE and the note has become grey and says this note can not be applied.
1 --> Is that means this note need not be applied for SAPKB62052.
( means the reported problem is irrelevant for SAPKB62052)
(or)
2) --> or the correction instructions for SAPKB62052 is not yet released and we should wait

Hi,
I understand it in that way.
You SP level is too low to be able to implement the note correction.
You have first to update at least to SP 55 before being able to implement the note correction.
That is one of the reason, to import regularly Support Packages.

INI file preference not being followed - Regarding SAP Note 1409494

Hi,
Following SAP Note 1409494, it seems like there is a preference over locations of INI files.
I have setup on my Citrix servers, the environment variable (SAPLOGON_INI_FILE) pointing to a central location of INI file.
The problem is that in the same server there is the BW logon pad that requires a different set of configurations, therefore a second INI file.
When I try to use the first option on the note (command line parameter /INI_FILE) pointing to a second INI file, it uses the one on the environment variable.
Is that the way it's supposed to work???
Is there a way to bypass this?

I guess you are talking about <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1034932">note 1034932</a>. It is currently being changed, what it will basically say is:
If you put the jars somewhere in /usr/sap and later on upgrade the engine you will actually loose the entire folder and will have to copy the jar files again.
As a permanent solution you could define an <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ee/0618d0899001408d821096c85ff8a2/frameset.htm">HTTP Alias</a> on the engine (not an application alias but an http alias) which will point to a folder on the file system outside the /usr/sap folders.
After that just set JavaGuiCodeBase for the applet to whatever you chose for the http alias name.

Sadly it's not available until 4.5B, and only then as an add-on.
Back in the bad-old-days a note had to be applied manually by a developer, following the instructions in the note, looking at the context code around the changes and trying to type everything in without making mistakes.
And you have to check for dependencies as well.

Doubt regarding SAP Note application

Hi,
I have found SAP note 1051619 which needs to be applied in our R/3 4.6C system.
As per the note the corrections are delivered in Basis support package SAPKB46C55.
Our Production system is at support package SAPKB46C53.
At the moment we are not in position to apply the support packages due to certain business constraints.
The note mentions of corrections that are be applied.
However, we are confused of the language used regarding the validity of the note.
The corrections mentions of,
Valid to Support Package
46C 46C-SAPKB46C54
Please advise if the corrections can be applied to our system which is at Basis support package level SAPKB46C53.

Yes, this means that you may apply this correction, if you are on 46C, and your support package is not higher than SAPKB46C54. In other words, this is from SAPKB46C01 to SAPKB46C54, and so includes your SAPKB46C53.

Issue regarding Web Application Designer (WAD) in SP25 / SAP note 1558066

Dear all,
we recently applied SAP NetWeaver BI SP25. After the update we encountered severe issues in WAD and applied SAP note 1558066, this means I deleted from RSZWMDITEM all records having MDITEMNAME TARTITLE and afterwards updated metadata.
The situation improved a lot, i.e. now I can open web templates or close WAD, but I still cannot drop Web Items in layout tab. I am able to include Web Items in overview tab, but again in layout tab I cannot change the sorting or remove Web Items.
Did anyone come across similar issues and find a solution?

Regarding your query, to use the transaction SFP you have to install and configure ADS (Adobe Document Services). Can you please check whether you have done the necessary configuration or not?

Hi,
please look at the item SOLUTION in the SAP note (immediately before the header data).
There you can find all actions to do, actions before SNOTE, actions after SNOTE, ...
But there are more problems if your notes need other related notes, which will be downloaded automatically.
Look into all of them before implementing the SAP notes for manual actions!

Regarding SAP note 214604

hi all,
please let me know a small thing...i have to apply an OSS note (214604) for inbound delivery workaround. the note involves creation of some z entries in some tables and some source code modification.
Please let me know if i use SNOTE for applying the note, will it create the table entries itself or will the entries have to be created manually first and then the note be applied for source code modifications.

Go through the text of the Notes for the pre-requisites and manual steps you need to perform.
