Regarding Routing..

Hi Friends,
can u tell me teh step by steb process for routing, when i create a routing in one material, it asks sub components, like that i created 5 components .Once i created a routing for a single material, how it ll relate to the workcenter..
   plz clear my doubts...

Hi,
thanus kodi
For creation of routing BOM structure is must and use BOM header material for create the ROUTING.Therefore it ask for sub component, may be you not maintain the BOM.
STEP1) Create the bom first ( CS01 )
STEP2) Create the work center ( CR01 )
STEP3) Go for creation of routing
3.1) Material ( give BOM header material)
3.2) Give plant
3.3) Enter
3.4) Header details screen appears ( give status and usages)
3.5) Select the operation overview button.
3.6) In that srceen you assign the work center
3.7) Then select the component overview button and assing the materials to respective workcenter
3.8) save
still you face problem plz goto this link

    Hi,
I am making a report in which i have to display the stock during the routing i.e. in CA03 we get to know which are the operations are implemented on a material. the requirement is if there are 50 pcs of material are in 1st operation and only 10 materials are able to reach next stage of operations ,then how many pcs of a material are left among them? i want to know which are the tables used for these qtys as i am checking that in CA03  the values are in structure and i want to know in which tables these quantities to be present.
plzz help me out as it is really urgent and help will be definitely rewarded.

  • Routing not selected

    Dear Gurus,
I am having a problem regarding routing selection.after configuration.i execute co01 to create production order.in that i find that pp master data is copied to production order.i created manual planned order by md11.in accout assignment i gave unknown.after creation of planned order.i am trying to convert to production order.,in that i found error that no routing for same material.i checked the date also.it is also valied date?why the error is coming during coversion to prodn order.the error message is "No default value maintained for op. generation for order type ZAFS (mat.TEST222)"
please give me solution for my problem

    Hi Guna,
In ur case while creating prod order system could not  not find any valid routing.
Please check routing validity, lotsize, usage, status with erspect to order qty and date.
If u create order without routing u have to maintain  "default values for the generation of operations for order type  in plant " at  OPJG
Thatz why you are getting error message.
    Please check and comeback

  • Route Pattern complete

    Hi experts,
I have question regarding Route Plan - Route Pattern. We have variable numbering plan and problem is interdigit timeout T302. If its short - lets say less then 5 seconds, customer has to hurry up to dial - otherwise he will wait to long after dialing the last digit. What we have done is to make route pattern with # at the end (for example we use pattern 0664! and 0664!#), so user is able to dial # after the last digit. This is working fine but it makes everything complex (and it´s much more work - and also a new source of error!
Is there any other solution to handle this?
    Thanks a lot
    Klaus

That depends on your numbering plan, maybe you can use @ special character http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_callmg/4_1/sys_ad/4_1_3/ccmsys/a03rp.htm#wp1050300
Look if you can use international dial plan http://www.cisco.com/kobayashi/sw-center/telephony/callmgr/locale-installer.shtml

  • Questions on route

    Dear friends
Friends could your please explain me the following questions regarding Route
    Where all Routes are used
What are the impact of Change in Route
What all things are dependent on Route
    Regards
    Prakash
Edited by: Sprakash on Mar 11, 2009 12:46 PM

    Hi Prakash,
    1) Where all Routes are used
Routes are basically used for Transportation module. The Route basically helps us to determine the Freight rates which will be applicable for a particular material. But you can define the Route in the IMG nodes present in Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution. In Documents, Route is determined in the itemlevel of the Sales Documents but at the Header level of the Delivery Document and the Shipment Document.
2)What are the impact of Change in Route
As I said before the Change of Route may affect the Freight rates or the No. of days required to deliver the goods at the Customers place. The Route is more significant at the Delivery Document rather than in the Sales Document, since the Shipment Document is based on the Delivery document and the Vendor payment (Transporter) also depends on that.
3)What all things are dependent on Route
I would rather explain the data required for the Determination of the route by the system.
The system uses the following data to determine the route for the order:
-Country and transportation zone of the shipping point (departure zone)
    -Shipping condition
    -Transportation group of the material
-Country and transportation zone of the ship-to party
As far as I know the Route basically is used only for the freight charges determination.

  • How is NTP reply routed when requesting router uses loopback as source address

The Cisco NTP Best Practices White Paper and DISA STIGs recommend setting the NTP source address to a loopback interface (e.g. "ntp source loopback0").
But this only seems to work if the requesting (NTP client) router is the default gateway for the NTP server.
Specifically, the NTP server will attempt to reply to the requesting router's loopback-based source address (taken from the NTP request packet).  Since that address will always be non-local from the perspective of the NTP server, the NTP server will encapsulate the reply in a Layer 2 frame addressed to its default gateway.  If the gateway was the source of the original NTP request, that should work.  But in most other situations that gateway won't know how to reach a loopback-based address, and will discard the reply.
I have verified this in tests with routers running both 12.4 and 15.1 releases (and NTP debugging enabled).  When the NTP source is a loopback address, NTP replies never reach the requesting router.  With the default NTP source address (i.e. based on the exit interface) everything works fine.
Obviously, you could employ workarounds, such as static routes or injecting loopback addresses into your routing protocols.  But that seems uglier than leaving NTP source addresses at their defaults.
Why is this "best practice" so commonly advocated without mention of some significant caveats regarding routing?  Am I missing something?
    Thanks,
      Mark

    Michel:
Thanks for the response.  Actually, I understand what kind of routing workarounds could allow NTP to function in spite of this "best practice."  But I am mystified as to why a Cisco "NTP best practice" paper (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk869/tk769/technologies_white_paper09186a0080117070.shtml) and various security policies would call for setting a loopback address as the NTP source when that practice will often cause more problems than it solves.
The stability of a loopback address is nice when that address is used to uniquely identify the platform for a routing protocol or syslog.  A loopback-based source address can also simplify ACL management, since that address won't change if an interface or link failure forces the router to send traffic from a different interface.  But I keep seeing security configuration guides/policies that call for also using a loopback address as the source for two-way protocols, such as FTP and NTP. That just doesn't make sense to me when you balance the routing implications against the limited security benefits (stable device identification, simplified ACL maintenance, and obfuscation of device addresses).
I was hoping to learn that some obscure command might allow me to control which NTP exchanges use the loopback-based source address.  For example, the loopback source address would work fine on outgoing NTP broadcasts (and probably in replies from NTP servers).  But I would prefer that NTP client requests use a source address based on the exit interface. That way replies can be routed back to the client without cluttering up routing tables with routes to loopback addresses.
So far, it looks like I'll need to chalk this up to poor coordination between the network security and network administration communities.
    Thanks again,
      Mark

  • Issue Forwarding Port 7000 on RVS4000 Router

    Hi Everyone,
I have recently replaced a WatchGuard Firebox SOHO 6 with a Linksys 4 Port Router Mod: RVS4000 because the WatchGuard was becoming unstable.
I set up the new router with all the settings from the previous equipment, which included forwarding port 7000 to a specific IP.
This port broadcasts images from a surveillance software installed on a computer with a static IP (the computer runs on Vista).
In order to view the broadcasted video on another computer, I use a proprietary software not a web browser.
So far, I tried single port forwarding without being able to view the images and range port forwarding with the same result.
I spend over an hour with the Business Tech Support from Linksys without success. They even remoted into the device and found nothing suspicious.
Currently the router runs on firmware version 1.2.11 and the Tech Support people suggested upgrading to a newer version.
I'm concerned to do so because I in read other postings that I can run into a bigger problem (i.e. bricking the router).
Finally, other ports are being forwarded (i.e. port 3389 RDP) and it works fine, so at least I know the forwarding feature is working properly.
Can someone shed some ligh as to what to do next?
Needless to say, everything was working fine with the WatchGuard Firebox and no changes in equipment, IPs or other software/hardware have been done.
Thank you in advance fro your help.
    danielk

    Greetings,
That sounds peculiar that some ports would get forwarded but others not, you might want to check and see if your ISP is blocking the ports if your going through the internet to this security application.  If everything is local, then you should try to follow the advice of upgrading your firmware to the latest version, in order to avoid "bricking" your router do the following sequence, before you upgrade:
do a backup of your configuration (optional)
Reset router to factory default settings from the GUI.
    Upgrade to latest firmware.
Reset router to factory default settings again from the GUI.
    Configure everything again manually *RECOMENDED*
This somewhat ilogical sequence of events prevents the IOS from being corrupted and has worked in many cases I have dealt with regarding router "lock up" issues.
Besides that the only thing else I can think of is find out if there are any more additional ports required for this application to work properly and check to see if your using the exact protocol  UDP or TCP for the ports that are being forwarded.
    Regards.

  • Performance of layer 3 switches when they are acting like a router

    Hi everybody
I want to know what are the performance differences of layer 3 switches when they are acting just like a router with lots of route entries in their routing table in compare to when they are acting in layer 2?
The layer 3 switch in our case is “WS-C3750X-24T-S”
I guess there is a difference between these two situations:
when the switch is acting in layer 3 and just routes packet between different VLAN (in routing table we just have entries for connected interfaces and nothing else)
when the switch is acting in layer 3 and also has to do routing based on static routes or routes learned via a routing table
I think in situation 1 the switch performance is just like when it is acting in layer 2 but I don’t know about situation 2. Does anyone know about this?
    Thanks a lot

    Hello.
Actually there is no difference unless you reach a capacity limit of routing table and other TCAM entries.
Also you need to note that some IOSs do not support full (but stub only) EIGRP functionality.
PS: see details regarding routing capacity.

  • No internet - self assigned ip problem?

I have an Intel imac (OSX leopard, 10.5.8 )and an ethernet modem connected direct to it. The lights are on as usual on the modem but i cannot get the internet. When I look at the ethernet status in network in system preferences it says I have a 'self assigned ip'and may not be able to connect.
I've tried using the mac assistant which tells me I have an ethernet connection but says that both the internet and server have failed. This assistant also advises on ISP status and having run the test a few times it tells me sometimes that the ISP is ok and other times that it has failed. I have tried running the ethernet to an airport express too. Again this lights up as it should (solid green light) but still provides no internet. I've tried connecting to this wireless network with the imac and with an ipad too. Both find the network and connect to it but neither can get any internet from it. Any advice anyone can provide would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Ive been having a similar problem myself. Heres the situation:
Everything runs smoothly with Airport. No issues there. Ive had to invest in a couple home plugs in order to get better wireless signal at my other accomodation. Was fiddling around trying to set up the ethernet connection but it doesnt seem to want to connect beyoun Network settings. ISP, internet and server all fail.
Im completely stumped as to why this is happening when my mac is able to freely connect wirelessly to the same network. I took into consideration it may be a problem with the homeplugs but ive tried a direct connection into the router via ethernet with the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Load Balancing Solution

    Folks:
I need to implement a load balancing solution pretty soon and I would like some ideas regarding topology, design and methodology.
    This is what I have:
1.) Two 7600 Aggregation routers with 4500 L2 server farm switches hanging off of them in a looped topology.
2.) Load balancers (either an ACE module or an ACE appliance).
3.) 4 vlans with a cluster of DNS servers in one, a cluster of DHCP in another, and 2 application server clusters in the 3rd and 4th.
What I need to know is what approahes I can take regarding routing methodology, L2 adjacency, general approach, connectivity, etc.
I know this is a loaded question, but if I can get 2 or 3 complete solutions from the folks on this board, that would be awesome!
Im about to board aplane, so I cant respond to queries until about 3 hours or so.
    Thanks!

    vip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
    port xx
    prot tcp
    url "//site.com/*"
    advance-balance arrow-point cookies
    no persistance
    add service server1
    add service server2

    advance-balance arrow-point cookies
    no persistance
    add service server1
    add service server2
    add service server3
    add service server4

  • Unable to Access My "secure" home wireless network

Airport works fine when finding unsecure networks requiring no password to log on, such as in public areas. But it won't work thru my secured wireless network. I use a D Link wireless router. Air port "sees" the network, but it requires a log on to gain access for the first time. I'm positive I have the right password. I've spent a lot of time with the ISP here in Kuwait, and granted, MAC isn't their strong suit, but they keep pointng back to the problem being with the computer. I can plug into the router with a cable and everything is fine and I can access my neighbors unsecure network thru his router...thanks neighbor. Any suggestions?
Mac Book Pro 17"   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

I was having similar problems few things.
    1. Check to make sure drivers are up to date for Dlink. I would double check your settings for your router.
    2. This is more of a question. Do you have a lot of people that come over to your place and use your appartment? I was having problems with my Linksys Router and I decided to setup a Mac filter instead.
    3. Hard reset the router.
    4. Check D-links website see if the have any information regarding router problem.
