Regarding RSKC

Can you kindly let me know how do we omit at rskc tcode of characters or spacing.
Can anyone kindly let me know on it. If had a document on it also helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please check this article for example and details on  RSKC.
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6011adef-e7d8-2b10-36a6-c22bda357b2a?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
On your second question, cube is in addtive mode and hence it is adding up the key figures value.
Do you see a problem there?

  • Special characters  in RSKC

    Hi there,
I have some special characters that I need in my BW to be accepted both in lowercase and uppercase. It is special eastern European letter that are contained in my customer data (names and addresses).
When I enter a lowercase character in RCKS it is automatically converted into uppercase. Is it sufficient to enter the character in uppercase for the load to accept both lowercase and uppercase of the character?
    Kind regards, Torben

    Hi Torben,
RSKC accept capital letters. But you can force the system to accept lowercase letters. For it you need to check 'Lowercase letters' in the infoobject maintenance screen.
However, ODS and cubes will not accept these lowercase letters if you feed them as infoobjects' key values. The most flexible way to keep texts with lowercase letters in infoobjects' texts and show them in queries as attributes or texts of IOs.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • € currency sign not acceptable in RSKC

    Hi BW experts,
I tried to add the u20AC currency sign in transaction RSKC but the system converted it to # when execute button is it.  The system also produces an error message 'The input field contains prohibited characters (already deleted)'.
There is an OSS note 1159373 (Euro character not loaded during file upload) which explains the cause of this error.  This note applies to a unicode system however my BI7 system isn't set as unicode.  My BI7 system is currently on support pack 18.
I do not want to use ALL_CAPITAL in RSKC as it has caused a lot of issues previously.  Is there another way to fix this problem ?  I currently have text data with u20AC in them.
    Please help.
    Many thanks,
    Anthony

    Hi Anthony Tan,
The blog below says that there are no invalid characters in the texts of master data..
        https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3955. [original link is broken]
if it is the characteristic text for an infoobject but not master data ... and if you are unable to handle write this in the field routine
    DATA: L_S_ERRORLOG TYPE RSSM_S_ERRORLOG_INT,
             G_ALLOWED_CHAR(300) TYPE C.
    IF G_ALLOWED_CHAR IS INITIAL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'RSKC_ALLOWED_CHAR_GET'
    IMPORTING
    E_ALLOWED_CHAR = G_ALLOWED_CHAR.
    ENDIF.
    concatenate G_ALLOWED_CHAR '@u20ACabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz' into G_ALLOWED_CHAR.
    do.
    if not text co g_allowed_char.
    shift text+sy-fdpos left.
    else.
    exit.
    endif.
    enddo.
instead of text use ur correspondign object...
    try this it works...

  • Transaction RSKC

    Hello,
What is the significance of entering the 'special characters' in transaction RSKC?
Could someone pls help giving an example?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Suraj

    Hi Suraj,
There are some limitations for BW regarding special characters like &*^%"!@ and many more, to allow these special Characters into BW system they are to be prior defined in the system..otherwise it will result for Invalid Characters Errors and the loading will not proceeded...
If the Invalid Character error comes then we will fiind out the spl character and enter in RSKC and it inturn stores in the Table RSALLOWEDCHAR , by this it allows the spl character into BW system..
check this blog for more details

  • How many special charcters in RSKC

    Hi Guru,s.
Could any one tell me, how many special characters  we can enter in RSKC, which have been asked in the interview.
    Regards.
    Harry

    Anyway, just a personal comment...
(Starting from my multi-years BI experience) I'm sometimes involved in some recruiting interview in my company, but, onestly, asking how many special characters you can put in RSKC transaction (instead of asking what is the purpose of this transaction) is really a stupid question (maybe good for a BW version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire...)
All my sympathy to all BW novices !

  • RSKC special characteristics

    Hi Guys,
The Maximum number of allowed special characters in RSKC are 72. If it exceeds more then this what can we do?
    Thanks and regards
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh,
You can manually correct the incorrect records through PSA & you can upload from PSA to rextected cube.
    OR
You can goto RSKC --> type ALL_CAPITAL --> F8 (Execute)
    OR
Run the report RS_ERRORLOG_EXAMPLE,By this report you can display all incorrected records of the data & you can also find whether the error occured in PSA or in TRANSFER RULES.

    HI,
Apart from the Standard charectors which SAP allows you can include up to 72 charectors in RSKC.
    Hope this helps......

  • Invalid character RSKC

    Hi,
I tried a load to BW from R/3 due to some invalid characteristics.I am not able to
add these special chsarateristics to rskc as it is already full. Can somebody
tell me how to extend the number of characters in RSks. Also can somebody
tell me about the relevent tables for  RSKC.

I think its not the correct way.
I suggest to set ALL_CAPITAL string in the RSKC to admit all character.
See this blog if you have some other doubts on that:

  • What is the capacity of permitted extra characteristics in RSKC?

what is the capacity of permitted extra characteristics in RSKC?  If  i allow more than
that characteristics how can i will give?
If any one please give me answer.
    thanks.

    Hi,
If you are in very urgent need of Avoiding unwanted characters then go for the RSKC.
Otherwise it is always advisable to go for a routine, as the system may be used by some other fellow also who might require that character that you are placing in RSKC right now.
Or you can also go for some preprocessing of the data for the unwanted characteres if they are massive in your data.
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Soumyadeep.

  • ALL_CAPITAL in RSKC

    Hi,
If I've ALL_CAPITAL maintained in RSKC, then does this include '#' sign also?
Because I know ALL_CAPITAL means all special characters, is '#' also included as a special character?
    Regards,
    Vikrant.

Yes, but look at OSS Note 173241 'Allowed characters in the BW System'!
    Anyway
"The value that only consists of the single character '#' is not allowed because the initial input is masked with '#'."
    Hope it helps!
    Bye,

  • Transaction Code RSKC

I have given certain character in Transaction code RSKC, which is a maintenence of permitted extra character in BW.
But doing data load, I am seeing that it is not working. And my data load failes because of these foreign characters.
Kindly let me know what should I do, or what should I look for.
    Regards
    Kamlesh

    Hi,
Few Characters like ! comes as First Character in the Value then the RSKC will not work eventhough it is maintanined.  Use PSA EDIT or ABAP Code to eliminate the first charecter in that case.
    Thanks,
    Saru

  • ALL_CAPITAL is not working RSKC T -CODE

    Hi Experts,
Iam facing an error which says INVALID CHARACTERS for one of the field.
the field data type is CHAR(60) in both R/3 & BW.
There is no error  in data packets when this field contains only numeric.
    for example of values -  021,  035, 458634,  ....
The data packets are showing error when the value of this field is a combination of numeric(0,1,2..) & Character (a,b,c...).
We tried RSKC also with value ALL_CAPITAL also but its not working.
    Can anybody help .
