SAP Report Painter for Other R/3 Application Components.

    I am creating Reports using SAP Report Painter tools avaliable in SAP.But the standard options provided for tables while creating our own library only belong to FI/CO area. can I create a table for other sap application compnents like MM or SD. Can I create a report for MM SD area using Sap Report Painter.

I dont think it will possible to Generate reports for SD/MM based on the tables Like G* , but using Statistics tables like S* u can generate reports for them.

SAP Report Painter (Drill down)

Hi, SAP Experts,
I'm Henry. This is my first post on SCN.
I'm trying to solve a problem on drill down report of report painter.
I don't have much experiences. I really need your help.
The problem is that I developed one report painter (Balance Sheet) and one query (Line item report by account code).
I put the query on the report painter as drill down report. So, when I click a row on the report painter,
It should go to the query and see appropriate data on it.
However, somehow, company code is NOT copied to the query. Therefore, the result is the query shows all compnies data.
*My client has several compnay codes.
<Example>
[Selection field on the report painter (BS)]
   *Table: FAGLFLEXT
   1. Company code: "A1"
   2. Fiscal Year: "2014"
   3. Fiscal Month: "3"
[Selection field on the query (Line item report by account code)]
   *Logical DB: SDF
   1. Company code: blank (This is the problem. I need to know why the company code isn't copied)
   2. Account code: xxxxxxxxx (The account code is copied from the report painter. This is no problem.)
   3. Fiscal Year: "2014" (No problem)
   4. Fiscal Month: "3" (No problem)
   *After clicking a row on the report painter, I can see all companise data on the query. The query should give only one company which is selected.
If you have any solution or knowledge, could you please share it with me?
If you give me some advice, I would really appreciate it.

SAP Report Painter - SAP tables for report items and hierarchy

Hello,
can you pls. help me with an information about the list of SAP tables for Report Painter, particularly the tables where the report items/positions and report hierarchy are stored?
for example, for the Report Writer report items and report hierarchy can be found in T8* tables.
What are these tables for Report Painter?

SAP Report Painter - How to show currency key in header

I've created a new report painter report against table Faglflext. Basic key figures are extracting Local Currency (HSL). This generic report will be used for various company codes that have different local currencies. In the report header I've specified a General Text Variable with Variable name currency but no data is displayed. The data in the columns are however correct based on company code selection.
Please advise how I can show currency type in header.

You have chosen HSL in the column definition which means to display the values in comp code currency
If I have understood your requirement correct, you want to display the currency of the company code in the Header text or some where as a text, based on the company code given in selection parameter
Thats really not possible!!
However, one smart thing you can do is to
1. Go to GRR2
2. Choose your report and Menu Extras > Report Text > Title page or Header
3. Enter a Text saying that
"This report displays the values in comp code currency... Currency of comp code 1 is USD, comp code 2 is SGD, Comp code 3 is GBP, etc"
Hence, the users would come to know the currency in which it is executed

SAP Report Painter

Is there a maximum on the number of cell formulas that can be created in formula builder within report painter ? I have created 999 cell formulas (last one is Z999), and when I create 1 additional, it becomes Z000. Now I have 2 Z000's. Creating one more becomes Z001 (already have a Z001 - first formula created). How does report painter know which Z000 or Z001 to use ? Is there a way to change the maximum number of formulas ? 'Couldn't find any OSS notes that relate to this....

Hi,
If all cells in a particular row has same formula, and if you have given individually different formula, then you can avoid such multiple formula with a formula in the lead column itself. It would be noted as Y001 and so on..
This way one can minimise the number of cell formulaes (i.e. Z000 etc)

SAP Report Painter - GRR1

Dear SAP Expert
Can you help me on below issue?
I developed one CO-CCA report (TC: GGR1)
Data is OK but now I am facing issues in format.
Format Group              0                   0
Lead Column              Jan                 Feb
Sale                          10,000           90,000
GP                               4,000           30,000
GP Margin %              40.00             33.33
The requirement of this report is to view values in scaling of 000 (Thousand)
While executing this report user is using column format scaling in 000 and decimal 0
Implication on report
Amount values are OK (Sales and GP)
but Calulated GP margis is almost showing ZERO due to 000 scaling format option.
I am looking for solution where I can format only selected special rows with decimal 2 format and scaling 1 format
Please assist and advice.

Its clear to me that you have understood my requirement and reached near to solution.
Option 1 Change formula by adding 000 - I tried but it will not meet my requirement.
Option 2 Hard Code the scaling option in form defination itself (GRR2) - I checked GRR2 but could able to find option for hard code, can you please assist on this?
Additionally I noticed when I selected row like "GP MARGIN %" and right clicked then I get option NUMBER FORMAT when click this option I get window box option NUMBER FORMAT with sub heading "GP MARGIN %" as FACTOR and Decial Scalling - I selected this scalling but i think it is not getting applied. Possible reason due to column number format leading the settings.

Scaling factor problem in SAP Report Painter

Hello,
I am designing reports using various scaling factors for column representation.
The Scaling factor of 10 million is not working. It is observed that the scaling factor is working fine till 1 million i.e. 1,000,000.
If the scaling factor is increased to 10 million (or above) i.e. 10,000,000 still the figures are scaled at 1 million only.
Please let me know if any other settings have to be made to make this work as it is required in our reports to show figures in 10 million / 1 crore format. Attach below are the steps of a sample report to clarify the issue. Thanks.
Details:
Transaction: GRR2
Report name: ZFRPT5 (Fixed Assets note)
Report Group: ZB05
Path for setting the Scaling factor in the Report:
Formatting => Columns=>Numeric format=>Scaling factor.
Selection parameter (on execution): Fiscal year

formate group "0"
coloumn formate
coluoumn width - 17'
Right margin - '0'
Numerical formate
scaling factor - '1'
Decimial placesses - ' 0.00'.
these are the settings for scaling formate. you will get 1 millions as per this settings
please check.

Report Painter is a tool through which you can create your own reports
The T-Codes as GR51, GR52
and to execute the reports you have to you T-Code GR55.

Difference (doubled) in report painter.

Hi,
I am using report painter to generate reports. However, I found there is a row of data doubled as the orginal. E.g. the entered data is "20", it will show up as "40". From the advice gained from my superviour, he said it may be a problem about SAP report painter and may be able to find solution online. However, I can't reach the solution on the internet. Can anybody help me on this issue? or anybody have face this issue too? How can you solve this problem?

It is due to the selection of finacial statment item. It cannot directly select a G/L account, but have to select also the finacial item with '#'.

Hi all,
I am having this report s_alr_87013549 - here I can select by Projects and get the cost elements. I want to use this report as a base for my custom report, which should give me the same result as the above report with Project, WBS, Network activities for each line level..My questions are,
1. Do I have to define my own library? with columns I need or use the library that the S_ALR report is in??
2. I am having trouble in understanding characterics, key figure cocncepts - also info structures - to define a report with rows and columns like this - what shld i do>??
Project name|WBSElement|Network Activity|NetworkActivityElement|CostElemt|PartnerObject|actualCOSt|PlanCost
These columns should be there in my report...
Finally - can i have more than 4 columns in my report??
Please provide Expert advice....I will be really thankful...

Error in generating a report group in Report Painter

I created a report in SAP report painter using transaction code GRR2. I attached the report to an existing group ( 15 reports already in the group), when I generate the group in transaction code GR55 thereu2019s an error message u201CSyntax error in GP40V42F6QG4OQVI4Q93F6FE3QK500, row 97,644 (-> long text)u201D. Please help me on this error.

There's no error when I generate the same report in a new created group as well as when I generate the existting report group without the new created report.
Information on where terminated
    The termination occurred in the ABAP program "GP40V42F6QG4OQVI4Q93F6FE3QK500"
     in "FILL_RANGES_FROM_SET".
    The main program was "GP40V42ERDE7HBU91TXFAHVA6B0500 ".
    The termination occurred in line 92457 of the source code of the (Include)
     program "GP40V42F6QG4OQVI4Q93F6FE3QK500"
    of the source code of program "GP40V42F6QG4OQVI4Q93F6FE3QK500" (when calling
     the editor 924570).
