Regarding SAP System component classification

Hi All.
I have a particular requirement. If we take a SAP system, a system can consist of multiple components (PI_BASIS, SAP CRM, SAP HRM etc) in the system landscape which we can see through the system->status->SAP System Data->and click on the Finder button. Alternatively, we can see it in CVERS table.
Here my requirement is, how to find out for which SAP Component a particular system is used, ie whether the system is particularly used for SAP SRM or SAP CRM or for SAP BI etc. Awaiting suggestions.

How to execute one sap gui script in different SAP system component versions.

Hi Experts,
I am having a task to write a script which can be executed in different SAP systems , explained as below.
I have created a script to do password reset for mass users in one system (TC6) & it's working fine. But when i load same script in other system(QR5) to do the same activity , the system unable to execute the same script.
One thing i found that by comparing in the two systems that the screen-ids in QR5 system is different than TC6 system.
My question
1-> why it is different even though the scripting language is same.
2-> How can i overcome it & make a common script for all the systems.
Please help me to resolve this.

From the above it's clear that the screen IDs in both the systems are different as the program-me name is different for the same TA (SU01) in both the systems.
Now can you please advise how i will go with both to handle in one script (I can't put a check condition to call different scripts for the specific systems as in my landscape there are more that 100 systems).

Wrong Component Version for sap system

Hi All,
I upgraded CRM 7.01 to EHP3 / NW 7.40.
But in System -> Status Component version is SAP System Component version is EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 and not SAP CRM ABAP 7.01 EHP3.
The upgrade was successfull and APPL component is at 7.40 04.
I need to correct SAP System Component version. This made some confusion for my college.
Is any body has the same problem.

                I have to create or change the existing invoice in sap system by using the idoc. Idoc has been extended to meet customer requirements. for creating i am using BAPI_INQUIRY_CREATEFROMDATA2 and for changing i am using BAPI_CUSTOMERINQUIRY_CHANGE in the same function module Z_IDOC_INPUT_INQUIRY_CREATEFRO (standardd one: IDOC_INPUT_INQUIRY_CREATEFROMD)
         It is working fine for the creating but it is going into dump for change by giving error messge fm is not called properly. I am passing same all parameters to the change bapi like i have passed for the Creating bapi. please help me out in this.

1) How to publish service from non-SAP systems?
Publish Service is nothing but making WSDL of that service available. For that you need to Publish the WSDL of the web Service to UDDI. For Non SAP system, Lik .net , Java they have there oun APIs to do so. U can search on net to get it.

Once you discover the services, you get the WSDL of that Service. Then You can import this WSDL in IR and you it.

Regarding Transfer of HR data From SAP System to Non-SAP System

Can anyone Please help me how i can transfer HR Payroll Data from a SAP system to a Non-SAP system. If it can be done by using Bapi's Please send me some notes or code the way how it can be done,data can be transfered through IDOC wht wud be the IDoc format and the message type etc.Please help me out in this, if some one have done it or got any idea pls send it across. One issue regarding PPDS OP.confirmation from Legal Non-SAP system

Dear Experts
we met a BAPI function issue regarding PPDS Operation.confirmation from Legal Non-SAP system.
scenario is as following:
we want to build the interface between PPDS and non-SAP system, regarding OP. and order confirmation inbound processing.
now we input simulated inbound date and test using BAPI: BAPI_MOSRVAPS_CONFOPRMULTI
but we find a problem, even we set different value for fields ‘ duration’ in function. after call BAPI, It didn't reflect the 'net duration' or 'remaining duration', these fields not changed through check in Tcode:/SAPAPO/RRP3 for single operation.
In the meanwhile , but it works for fields 'confirmed Yield' and fields 'confirmed Scrap' for single operation.
my questions is that: if we need to synchronize the operation confirmation( including confirmed yield,confirmation scrap, duration)，do we use the correct BAPI for this or do we need an additional BAPI, please hints.

Yes you use the right BAPI.
you have to use table OPERATION_CONFIRMATION.
You cannot just set the duration. You have to trigger time event confirmations.
The field duration according to the documentation currently not supported.
You need to use CONFIRMATION_TYPE
0100 Start of Setup
0150 End of setup
0200 Start of processing
0300 Partially complete
0350 Complete
Not sure if all confirmation types are supported by the BAPI.
You can also set start and end time but not sure either whether it is supported or not.

you can assign a user in the service of your web dynpro application.
Call transaction SICF and open the service to your web dynpro application.
Within the tab "logon data" you can enter a user/password.
You should not assign a dialoug user.
For productive environment, have a look at all the other options like SSL
and maybe you have to do some more configuration to make it secure!!!
Keep in mind, that all "internet" users are working now with the same SAP user/authorization.

Clarification regarding data upload in to SAP System

Hi All,
The requirements goes like this.
There is a file in the Application Server in which there are many records.
Each record will have to create two Idocs based on two particular fields.
For example, If A, B, C, D are the fields
One Idoc shold have A,B,D fields and another Idoc should have A,C,D fields.
Now, the problem these Idocs should get updated in SAP.
The requirement is so confusing that the Idocs are posted and again updated in the same SAP System.
How to achieve this scenario ? Is is possible to create an Idoc and update the records in the same SAP System.
Do we need to use LSMW along with this in this scenario??
If so, does this LSMW map the same record to two Idocs as mentioned in the above example scenario.
Please provide me with your valuable suggestions...

ERROR MESSAGE sap system manager:work process restarted, session terminated

i am a beginer in SAP administration, users are getting this error message and i have done all my research and not able to resolve this issue. Here are the details
SAP Version :ideas 4.7
Database :Oracle
OS : windows 2003
Module user is working on MM
user working on it is a Super user with all the permissions
SAP is configure to run under the European date and decimal format.
I have never done any database administration on it, it is a new install and has been rarely used.
User creates a RFQ and when he tries saving it , seems like for the first time after either restarting the macine or restarting the service it might work and at time it might not, this is a very sporadic error and most of the times it crashes out with the message "sap system manager:work process restarted, session terminated" and kicks the user out of the session.
Below are the details of the error message from ST22 :

The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLCLSC" in "EXECUTE_SELECT".

Receiver File Adapter - Create File on another SAP System

I am working on a project that includes this requirement: PDF files to be copied from a third party company via SFTP to a directory on our ECC system.
We have worked out the sender side config, and the transfer of the files into PI works fine via SFTP.
However, the PDF files are ending up in a directory on the PI system and not on our ECC system as expected.
The receiver communication channel is set up as follows:
Party = blank
Communication Component = communication component of the ECC business system
Adapter type = File
('Receiver' is ticked)
Transport Protocol = File System (NFS) (etc)
Target directory = /tmp (using this temporarily for testing)
I would have thought using the ECC business system would mean the files would end up on that system, but instead they end up on the /tmp directory on the PI system.
We are not permitted to use FTP between our SAP systems, so I can't go with that option.
I've searched for help on this and only see conflicting and vague statements about whether the NFS protocol can or can't be used for transfer to another SAP system in the landscape.
Any suggestions and help on the above, and the best method of transferring the files to the end SAP system would be very appreciated.

remember that NFS means that it is referring to a file system on PI server.
What you could do is mount a space on SAP PI onto SAP ECC so that ECC will be able to access the files on SAP PI.
Guess that should solve the problem.
