Is it possible to do SNP Run, without PPM's and PDS?

In my project manufacturing has got outsourced, here my client has got implemented, DP SNP & GATP,
till now i haven't heard abt PPM's PDS in the project,
Since iam a new to SNP, I Want to know the possiblities of implementing SNP without PPM's and PDS

Deployment with "Refer to last SNP run" deploy

Hi guys
I'm running the deployment over /SAPAPO/SDP94 in the planning map. Demand is there, stock is there (and production, no STOs or other orders). ATD issue/receipt is standard.
When I run the deployment with procedure "Refer to last SNP run", nothing happens - nothing is deployed.
When I run the deployment with procedure "Real-time", everything stays unchanged (because I did the SNP heuristic seperately before), but now the system is at least deploying accordant to my expectations.
Because I want to run the SNP heuristic and the deployment normally on different days, "Real-time" is no option for the productive system.
What could be a reason for that?

Thank you for the answer.
All the points are fulfilled but the Deployment "Refer to the last SNP run" is not creating any confirmed distribution demands.
I did 2 trials:
1. SNP Heuristik (Network / Multilevel) -> deployment with procedure "Refer to the last SNP run" -> no deployment (no basis for TLB)
2. Directly deployment, but with procedure "Real-time" -> confirmed distribution demands -> deployed quantity for TLB available.
Actually standard should be point one, because SNP and Deployment running on 2 different days.
I suppose because the product can be deployed to different locations (actually just one has demand), but even when I lock the transportation Lanes to the other locations, isn't the deployment proposing anything.

Scheduling Lines from SNP Run

R3 by MRP Run system automatically cretes Scheduling Lines (Procurement)
Same thing is possibles in APO also after SNP run?

SNP run also generates Schedule lines required the followin is mapped
1. PIR is Ciffed to APO
2. Scheduling Agreement is Ciffed to APO.
IN Case of Sub contracting Schedule lines
1. PIR should carry the production version
2. Sub contracting PPM should be ciffed to APO
3. Scheduling agreement should be ciffed to APO

Hi Mac,
Go to SE38 , select same payment programme and give your ID in your payment run and select the Print Cheques option . This will not process the payment run again but will allow you to print your cheques.

Issue regarding consecutive run for an Interface

i have an issue regarding an interface
if this Interface is a initial run for the file, you have to populate all the data of the people. That is , unlike other interfaces where we send only the latest record, in this interface we need to send all the records of the employees. in a employee has 10 records with different dates, we will pick up all the records greater than 1999 and pass it. whereas if there is a change in one field, then we will send all the record of that file. And If it is a consecutive run then you have to populate changes only. the following algorithm can help you in this
if intial_run EQ 'X'
transfer IT_FINALDATA to XI.
else
Declare a 2 more internal tables similar to IT_FINALDATA...for our below example let us assume that
         DATA: IT_CLUSTERDATA type standard table of IT_FINALDATA.
         DATA: IT_COMPAREDATA type standard table of IT_FINALDATA.
use the following statement to retrieve the data from cluster and comparing it
        IMPORT IT_CLUSTERDATA TO IT_COMPAREDATA FROM DATABASE indx(zn) ID 'IN_8085'.
        Compare IT_COMPAREDATA with IT_FINALDATA
If sy-subrc = 0.
Means there are no changes, and no output required
Else
Pass the data to XI interface, And store the internal table in the same INDX table, using the following statement
EXPORT IT_FINALDATA to IT_CLUSTERDATA FROM DATABASE indx(zn) ID 'IN_8077'.
Endif.
In this can we deliver the changed data at every single consecutive run.

This is something where HR Interface Toolbox (PU12) can be very helpful, it will take care of changes from one run to another and you can configure it to send changes only in next run. But, you will need some ABAP in its user exits to restrict the data after 1999, and any other restrictions that you might want.

What is the significance of Procurement Priority in a T-Lane ?. Say, if I have two T-lanes for the same product and location combination with different Procurement Priorities, what effect would this have in SNP hueristic run.
From the help I read that, SNP takes Procurement Priority field into account if automatic cost generation is used, and have set the Procurement Priority of PPMs/PDS or Procurement Priority of Transportation Lanes indicator in the SNP or deployment optimization profile.
In which screen exactly is this Procurement Priority of Transportation Lanes indicator set in SNP ?

The system uses the procurement priorities of the sources of supply with zero being highest priority.
From the help I read that, SNP takes Procurement Priority field into account if automatic cost generation is used, and have set the Procurement Priority of PPMs/PDS or Procurement Priority of Transportation Lanes indicator in the SNP or deployment optimization profile
If the priorities are the same, a source of supply with low costs takes precedence over a source with high costs. The costs might consist of transportation and procurement costs. The system determines the costs automatically in source determination.
If the priorities and the costs are the same, in-house production takes precedence over external procurement.
SNP optimizer basically determines the most cost-efficient solution, its sourcing decisions are also cost-based, which means the optimizer does not take into account procurement priorities
Deployment determines the destination locations to which the product stock is to be distributed. Therefore, deployment only considers transportation lanes as sources. So,deployment optimizer generally decides which source locations to distribute available product stock to and which means of transport to use, based on the lowest total costs and by considering all restrictions (such as transport capacity) In doing so, the system may also take detours into consideration.

In the Tcode /SAPAPO/SCC_TL1-->Product Procurement, you set the Procurement Priority.

Shift scheduling in SNP Run

We are trying to use APO for Shop Floor Planning.
I want to know, can SAP - APO (Optimizer Run) give shiftwise planning instead of day bucket ? i.e. instead of daily requirement, 3 shifts requirement saperately ?

Hi Rajan,
SNP is bucketed planning and the most granular bucket is a DAY.
So in SNP you cannot do shiftwise planning. You need to use PPDS for shiftwise planning.

While running DP91 for PS project order we can create PS Billing Request. In this billing request I need to add one more line item by swapping Qty with Amount and Amount with qty.
Please let me know where (user-exit or BAdi) we can write the logic and is there any BAPI available to add one more Item line.

Hi All Gurus,
Can anyone of you tell me what is the outputs of followings?
1) Suppose we put MRP Type PD ,Lot-size- EX,Min.Lot size -5, Availability check 01,then what is the o/p after MRP run?
2) we put MRP Type -ND,lot size -EX,Remaining same as above .
3) we put MRP Type -PD, Lot size-FX,Fixed Lot-100,Remaining things are same as above .

Please find the answer as below
1.The MRP will generate Procurement proposals for the order quantity.i.e the effect of EX-lot for lot order . If the order quantity is less than 5, then also the procurement proposal will be for 5nos.i.e effect of minimum lot size.
2.Since MRP type ND no planning i.e. no requirements generated.
3.The MRP will generate procurement proposals for quantity 100. If more nos required, then many procurement proposals each for quantity 100.

This is also possible that might be you don't have write permission to the myclasses directory of your jdeveloper.
If that is so ask your sysadmin to assign full write permission to your necessary directory.

Do we follow any naming convention for the name of the setup run while doing LO Extraction.
What are the names that we can give. Does it need to be referred at later point of time.

...ah, just to add some more info...
When you run a setup, flag 'new run' checkbox and insert a name (as you prefer) to the job.
If, for any reason, your job stops (for system down-time or for any other reason...), you don't need to start everything again, but it's enough to DO NOT flag 'new run' checkbox and to insert the same name of your first job: in this way the setup will restart from the same point where it has been blocked !

Regarding Engine Run state using PAPI Client

Is there anyway to find if ALBPM Execution engine is running using PAPI Client?

i am getting an error class names date.jsp are only acceptable is annotation processing is explicitly requested
i have saved this file by name date.jsp
and when i run this .jsp file in commant prompt i am getting an error
so what should i do
do i need any extra software to install to run the jsp

The standard way to run a jsp page is to deploy it onto a server as part of a web application, and then access the page through the browser.
Tomcat should take care of compiling/running it for you.

Hi,
If that report is being used as a batch job, then u can use transaction SM37 to know.
Goto SM37 --> Put Jobname as *, User name as * Put a date range and the ABAP Program name as ur report name.
This will give u the list of the jobs which have been executed in the given date range and are using the report.
