Regarding SOA Suite Certification

Hello Guys,
I am new entrant into fusion middleware. As you all know there are different suites that make up fusion middleware, And each suite has different components. I was primarily looking into SOA suite as I feel thats where most companies are implementing. Is there a oracle certified exam for SOA Suite. If not is there any part of middleware that has certification exam.
Thanks

hi,
Yes, There are two certification exam which is related to Middleware . 1. 000-669 SOA Fundamental 2. 000-667 SOA Architectural.
Also there are lots of tool -wise certification, let me know if you are using any specific tool.
You can mail me on [email protected] for more info and sample certificate exam questions.

    hi',
I have tried to find about 'Oracle SOA Suite Certification' however never been able to find anything,
Has any one in this forum ever appeared for Oracle SOA certification who can guide me how to do this.
I have tried to contact people in Oracle itself,
people in Oracle will very nicely give you an email of some lady in Bangalore taking care of this, you put her
an email and you get one standard templete which has practically nothing in it, you ask her what books to refer
she dosent know anything and she is the incharge of SOA certification in Oracle Bangalore.
Looks like either Oracle SOA certification is of no use/worthless or people want to keep the information hidden.
if someone has info about this certification please share.
    thanks

  • Certifications in Oracle SOA Suite

    Hi
I have cleared "Oracle SOA Foundation Practitioner Exam (1Z0-451) " year ago..
I like to go up the ladder in this. So what would the best certification program that i can learn and register.
    Regards
    Sesha

(Probably the reason people are shy to answer is that your questions are too many for a single topic and also your grammar makes it a bit hard to understand what exactly you're asking.)
Still, let me try to answer some:
    > Is it first basic certification to give you an aid to become an Oracle Service Oriented Architecture ?
You probably mean "to become an Architect". Nope, this is not the first choice. This one helps you to map Oracle products into SOA concepts. SOA concepts though are better be learned in separation to specific products, i.e. before taking an Oracle exam.
    > Is there any prerequisite to write this test , any mandotry requirement which need to do before writing this test?
The exam page clearly states that some prior knowledge is required, though it doesn't matter how you've got that knowledge.
    > How TOGAF is different from Oracle SOA suite certifications?
TOGAF is a general framework which compliant teams should follow to produce architectures/designs that are ... well, lacking unpleasant surprises. TOGAF can be applied to any IT architecture, not only SOA.
    > to become an Oracle Service Oriented Architecture one need to adhere all these stuff
No. As any question-based exam, passing it doesn't guarantee you know a thing about SOA. Instead, taking an exam is an opportunity to structure your own knowledge about the subject and close the gaps you have in your knowledge. After you did that, you do not really need to take an exam -- but the certifications look good on resumes.
    > i heared SOA is dead
No. Elvis is dead though. I'd prefer other way around.

  • Compatibility Check of SOA Suite 10.1.3.5. Over WebLogic 10.1.3.3

    Hi,
I am seeking one clarification regarding SOA Suite 10.1.3.5. installation over Weblogic 10.1.3.3. As per installation note available over the internet at various site I came to know that for SOA Suite 10.1.3.5 u need to install Weblogic 10.1.3.1. but I have installed the SOA Suite 10.1.3.5 over the Weblogic 10.1.3.3 coz I was already using the 10.1.3.3 as part of OSB11g installation. In my project I am using both OSB11g and SOA Suite 10.1.3.5 and both required different verison of weblogic server while I have installed both on same weblogic server version which is 10.1.3.3 in our lab environment.
As of now things are working fine in Lab environment but I have to take decision whether we can use the same combination in production server or not.
Can any one give some clerification on this issue.

    Hello,
Currently Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.5 is certified on oracle weblogic 10.3.1 only. It is not yet certified on Oracle Weblogic 10.3.3 (used by OSB 11g). When we say "certified" then it means that fully tested and ready to be used and in case any issue comes product vendor will provide the support.
So I will recommend that first of all you contact Oracle Support to get green signal (which I don't think that they will give) to use Oracle Weblogic 10.3.3 for Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.5 in production and IF (and only if) they assure you to provide support then go ahead and use this combo in production otherwise you will have to use 10.3.1
You may refer the certification matrix of Oracle SOA 10.1.3.5 here -

  • Query regarding installation of SOA Suite on Windows Vista 64 Bit

    Hi,
I would like to setup a development enviroment having Oracle SOA Suite 10g and Oracle Database Server 10g on my laptop. Please can anyone clarify whether these softwares are compatible with a laptop of below mentioned configuration:
    ===========================================================HP Pavilion dv9700t Notebook PC
Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
    Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.0 GHz)

    256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    ===========================================================
I have gone through the compatibility matrix. However, the compatibility matrix mentions that Oracle software is compatible with EM64T processor.
Request clarification on whether an Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T5750
(2.0 GHz) belongs to EM64T family or not.

  • Regarding Installation Of SOA suite

    Hi All,
I am trying to install Oracle SOA suite 10.1.3.1. Can i possible to use the R12 EBS suite db connection details for configuring SOA suite? or It requires a separate 10g db?
    Thanks,
    Manikandan

is it possible to install only some parts of SOA Suite, not the all available? For instance, I need BPEL and Business Rules, and thats it. So I wonder if somehow I can omit installation of other components. No with 11g release it won't be possible but logical grouping can be done while creating the domain by selecting appropriate template. I mean if you want to create a SOA domain only then do not select the BAM or BPM options and domain would not have those functionalities. Similarly if you need a BAM only domain then select BAM template only while creating the domain.

  • Query regarding integrating sun MQ with Oracle SOA suite 11g

    Hi,
I am new to SOA suite 11g.I have a requirement of connecting to Sun MQ 4.4 queue from Oracle SOA suite 11g.Right now, I have found a work around using java embedding by connecting to the queue from java code directly. Can I use the JMS adapter for this purpose? If yes what are the options of doing that.I saw there is an option of third party queue in the JMS adapter configuration wizard but could not get it to work.Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I think we can exchange only data types, i dont see any data type which can hold the object types.
If you find anything better let us know.
Constructing string xml and converting to xml is best option i can think of.

  • Question regarding Composite granularity in SOA Suite

I have a question about service granularity in a SOA Suite composite. In your experience, what is the best way to implement an Enterprise Business Service in SOA Suite?
Say I have a service interface/wsdl that looks something like:
    Customer
    + getCustomer
    + createCustomer
    + updateCustomer
    + .....
Would the operations on the service be best implemented as BPEL processes each living in their own composite, or as multiple processes in one composite with a mediator(based on the ebs wsdl) in front of them? I'm also using OSB, so I could do the routing there to each of the separate composites if I break up the operations into a composite for each. But that seems like the amount of composites would become unmaintainably high.
If I use the mediator to expose the ebs wsdl, then I would just use OSB for virtualization, throttling, etc.
Not too sure which way to go with this design, but any experienced input is appreciated. I did notice that AIA implements each operation as a separate composite.
    Thanks.

As per the AIA architecture we should use Mediator in EBS layer, because of below reasons.
    1. OSB is not part of SOA until 11g,
    2. You have to re write the code for exposing EBS in OSB Layer, thats a huge work.
Both Mediator and OSB does the same thing, ofcouse there are some differences
As per your design if you use OSB for virtualization, that is fine, but you will be having one more layer of virtualization before it hits the actual composites, which will definately hit the performance, extra care we need take for OSB layer.
In my current project, we tried both the approach that you wanted to try.
Approach 1 : Exposing EBS in OSB Layer.
Tried rewriting the EBS wsdl because the port information will not be available by default, without that we will not be able to create proxy services in OSB.
Then for how many wsdl files you will rewrite the code, then you need to update the MDS as well with those.
Did a small POC and then decided to go with as is. Probably we will have OSB layer in AIA 12 g
Approach 2 : We are using OSB wrapper for thirdparty web services and adapter services not the provider abcs services. I feel this is overhead.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • Regarding Oracle SOA suite patch

    Hi All,
From the following URL I find that :-
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html
SOA suite patch set 10.1.3.4 has been released.
However not sure whether this patch set can be applied on top of 10.1.3.1 version and that too on standalone Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.1. So will it upgrade 10.1.3.1 directly to 10.1.3.4?
Again if I am using the metalink for the 10.1.3.3 patch against patch no:-6906880, I am finding that the product name is only Oracle BPEL and not soa suite patch. So will this patch upgrade all soa suite components of 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.3?
Again for installing Oracle SOA suite on third party servers separate installers are available from:-
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html
so will only this installer be enough to install soa suite on third party servers or again according to the Installation guide we need to install soa suite 10.1.3.1 version also?
Please advice me which one to use to upgrade to the correct stable version from 10.1.3.1?
    Thanks.

6906880 is for the entire SOA Suite. This specific version is 10.1.3.3.1 MLR 8
They are now up to MLR 12, patch 7167518. If you read the readme for these, you'll see that they patch ESB as well as BPEL.
These patches are used for either the "Advanced Install" of the complete suite or will work with a standalone installation of BPEL or ESB.
From other notes I've seen, you should be up to at least 10.1.3.3.1 MLR 9.
Supposedly 10.1.3.4 is only up to the MLR 7 level so keep that in mind.

  • SOA Suite 11Gr1 on 64 bit windows 2008 R2 server

    Hi All,
Has anybody successfully installed and and ran SOA suite 11G on a windows server 2008 64bit?
I have managed to install the software but startWeblogic.cmd crashes after a few second and nothing is written to the log file, even
if I try to run the script as administrator.
I have looked at the certification matrix and only 32bit JVM is supported, but when installing, I pointed setup.exe to the JVM that came
with weblogic install, which is 32bit. I have recreated the domain twice already.
The client does not want linux/unix OS on their servers, so that's not an option.
This is what I have installed:
    2010/07/07 08:43 PM 265 979 476 ofm_rcu_win_11.1.1.3.0_disk1_1of1.zip --- Failed to run rcu.bat

    2010/10/06 01:24 PM 1 045 821 796 wls1033_oepe111150_win32.exe
The rcu.bat script failed to run from the server, so I ended up running it from my local machine, but the schema creation was successful.
    Any ideas?

It seems you have used 32bit installers on 64bit machine. Please refer -
