Regarding table names to know of it.

For datasource we can know table names from RSA2 tcode.,
for instance for tcodes like where transaction happens, for instance ME13, sales order tcode VA03 etc:.,
How to know of this tables present at these tcodes, through F1 by playing cursor i can know it.
Is there any tcode to know table names of transaction systems of tcode vao3(sales order) or material orders etc:.
Can anybody please let me know on it.

In RSD1 check if the IO is also InfoProvider or not: if it is it can support also flexible update, othervise not.
For the InfoSource it is better to right mouse click on it and then show data flow to check if there are Update Rules on it. But it is all related to Flag in Master Data Settings of the IO.

Could you help me in indentifying the table name which will provide the this info.

I do not know such a table, but maybe there is another solution. If you start the "Transport Connection" and select your InfoObject with grouping option "In Data Flow Afterwards" you should see all queries under node "Query Element".

Regarding Table name in HR

Hi experts,
I've faced a problem in online appraisal. The process flow is appraisee->appraiser->reviewer through mail.
After completing the appraisal process, it displys in appraiser end. In PA30, under infotype 25, in diplays in the subscreen 'Appraisals where appraiser'. And the details stored in the related template.
But I want to know the name of the Tables where all the appraisal related data stored. It didn't stored any HRHAP related tables.

Can substitution strings be used for table name references?

Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to use substituion strings for table names in SQL queries. This would allow for me to edit all references to a table at one location. For instance, if a table name or dblink changed, I could edit the substitution string or application item to ensure all the queries reference the new table.
For example:
select * from &table1.
table1 would be the substitution string for the actual table name
I know this is possible if I used a pl/sql function returning a query, but I would much rather use a substition string in a SQL query.

Try this:
1) Go to SE15 (Repository info system)
2) Expand ABAP Dictionary
3) Expand Fields
4) Click on Table Fields
5) Enter the field name you want to search in field name or use wild cards with keywords in short decription field (like supplier ) and Execute.
OR
If it's a screen field, do a F1 on the field and click on Technical information on the help window popped up from Menu..this will tell you the field name along with structure or table name.

if the ODS is a standard ODS then you check the following way in SE16
(for custom ODS objects)
/BIC/A<ODS technical name>00 (Active Data Table)
/BIC/A<ODS technical name>40 (Activation Queue)
/BIC/B<10 digit number> (Change Log Table)
(for SAP defined ODS Objects)
/BI0/A<ODS technical name>00 (Active Data Table)
/BI0/A<ODS technical name>40 (Activation Queue)
/BI0/B<10 digit number> (Change Log Table)
and for Transactional ODS Object you will have only the active data Table. So you need to check with /BIC/A<ODS technical name>00 for the custom ODS objects and /BI0/A<ODS technical name>00 for SAP defined ODS objects.
