Regarding TEXT display in ME21n transaction

hi,
in ME21n tansaction, m getting TEXT ( Explanatory text for line item ) for some purchase order documents n not getting TEXT for some purch. order doc's. For this text Exit "MBCF0002" WAS USED. plz let me know wht to do.

That enanchement should be to updated the item text, so u need to insert a text if it's initial and/or the po is of a certain type: u should give us more detail in order to know when the text has to be updated.

this might be bcoz of control flow problem..
check properly where the variable for text is given in the script..
that shud b given just after line item printing..
if it is given in a diff text element check the program for the order in which u r calling the text elemnt...

Item level Info record PO text field in Purchase Order Me21n transaction

Hello All,
I have to enter some information in the PO info record text field (which is in Item level Texts tab of ME21n transaction ) using an user-exit at the time of creation/change of purchase Order.
Does anyone knows the user-exit and how to update the text field ?
Any help is really appreciated

Enhacement for removing case sensitive of the short text entered in Me21n

Hi very one ,
i want to write a enhancement to remove the case sensitive of the short text entered in me21n transaction code for service Number . ie .. whether i enter the text in captain letter or small letters it should fetch the exact data accordingly to the short text entered ( the respective service number should be retrieved ) , i think there will be some function module that will remove this case sensitive thing . plz help me out

It strikes me as odd that Apple would appear to make the use of both lower- and upper-case letters possible in the short user-name, leaving the possibility that upper-case letters might lead to some problems/conflicts down the line. It would be helpful if they'd provide some explanation about this. Anyway, as I said, I'm very far from being an expert in all this, and appreciate that people like yourself on these
forums are willing to provide helpful feedback.

How to display a particular transaction over portal as per its id

we have a requirement like this...
we have already developed some 200 iviews and the corrosponding pages...
now we want to develope an application either in web dynpro or pdk that we will upload over portal. that application will be having an inputfield for entering transaction number and a search button.
on the click of button our application must be able to search and display the corrosponding transactional iview already developed
plz guide on how this is possible

I don't think message input text allows to set URI property and it is available with MessageStyledText.
So if you want to achieve your requirement then you can take two items one message text input and other one as messageStylesText then if it is readonlymode then hide input text and render MessageStyled text and viceversa.
In this case you will be able to display links in case of Readonly text.

MM02 Purchase Order text display only

We have transaction variants with screen variants set up for transaction MM02 and want to make the purchase order text display only. This does not seem possible with transaction variants as the display only is greyed out for the purchase order text.
Is there an enhancement or exit available where we can do this ?

What happened?
    Error in the SAP kernel.
    The current ABAP "SAPLWB2B_HANDLE_WORKAREA" program had to be terminated

    ABAP processor detected an internal system error.

Can anyone help me solve the problem of text displaying very rough on my new ASUS PA279Q display monitor running off my MacBook Pro?

This is regarding a brand new ASUS PA 279Q, 2560 x 1440 IPS monitor. I'm connected via mini display port (into thunderbolt port on MacBook Pro) to display port on ASUS monitor; using cable ASUS included with the monitor. Mid 2012 MacBook Pro…full specs at bottom of this post.
I have resolution set at 2560 x 1440 which is the native resolution according to the ASUS spec. I tried the other resolutions available in my System Preferences and text displayed rough with those settings too. I've tried adjusting contrast, brightness and sharpness via the ASUS control panel and didn't solve the problem. Also tried calibrating via Mac's system preferences/display and that did not improve text display either. All the text on this monitor (no matter what software I launch, Finder, InDesign, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel, VMWare Windows XP, Windows versions of Word, Excel, Acrobat, etc, all are consistently rendering text the same way --- ROUGH and with "HALOS" around each letter.
All point sizes of text and at various scales, display very rough on the screen. (My comparison is the retina display of my MBP and a Thunderbolt…so those two displays are my expectations.) I'm using the same MBP for both a Thunderbolt display (at work) and this ASUS at my home office.
On the ASUS it's not as noticeable when the text is on white backgrounds, but I'm a graphic designer and compose images with text all day everyday. Not to mention the specs on this ASUS PA279Q indicate it's built for the professional so I would expect better text rendering. I haven't even addressed color calibration and balance yet, because that won't matter to me if the text won't display any better than it is now.
I was so hopeful after researching all the specs on this monitor it would be a viable alternative to the glossy display of the Thunderbolt display. (Which, I do love the Thunderbolt display for it's clarity and how it displays crisp, clean text at all sizes. (This ASUS actually displays text decently if I increase the text so each letter is about 4" high. Which is pointless for practical purposes -- that'd be like doing page layout through a microscope!)
I kept holding off on getting a monitor for the home office thinking the Thunderbolt would be updated soon. I'd be sick if I dropped a grand on piece of 2011 technology only to learn a few days later an updated Thunderbolt display hit the market! Not to mention, I'm praying Apple comes out with a less reflective Thunderbolt display. The glare and reflection is the main reason I looked elsewhere for a large monitor; hence my asking for help. Hoping the ASUS text display issue can be worked out. My expectation is for it to display like the MBP retina and Thunderbolt display text. That possible?
Alternatively, I guess I could do the Apple Refurb Thunderbolt at $799. And see if there's a decent aftermarket anti-glare I could stick on it?

I uninstalled those two items. It still runs slow on start-up and when opening safari, firefox, iphoto, itunes, etc. It's not snappy like it used to be. Any other ideas? Thanks.

You can upload the Long texts separately into the transaction using the CREATE_TEXT fun module
Need to pass the correct parameters like OBJECT,ID, OBJECTNAME and LANGuage with the proper declarations.

How to influence the text display of key figures in the interarctive DP

Hello all,
Does anyone know if there is a possibility (BADI, etc.) to change the text display of key figures (not characteristics!) in a planning book/data view?
I know that you can define a free text in the data view but still, this is only one fixed text and it cannot be changed.
Reason for the request: We would like to use the same key figure (and hence, indicate 2 different texts) for two different purposes (in different selections) without having to create a new data view.

if you dont want a new data view and might even go to the extent of creating a user exit for this ... here is an idea
- just create auxillary KF ( or use spare Temp KF depending on what you want to do with the data in the view) for each of these KF with the text
lets say you have KF1 and KF2 - create KF1A and KF2A
Make sure KF1A = KF1 and KF2a = KF2
Now depending on user you can display KF 1 and KF2 or KF1a and KF2a depending on the user by using macros USER() and ROW_VISIBLE(0)

You can find the text in ResourceEditControl**.properties file, which is available under com.sap.km.cm.ui\lib\km.appl.ui.edit_api\com\sapportals\wcm\control\edit..
The text is represented by the key txtUploadControl..

Go to the screen where u want to make the changes.
Click on System -> Status. Double click on the screen Number (like 1121).
Then on the PBO module screen click on 'Layout'. You will go to graphical screen painter.
Then DOUBLE CLICK on the column/field you want to gray out and on Attribute part, Program Input -> Not possible .(save + activate)
You will need an Access Key to change the standard SAP Screen...

Strange text display in pdf using adobe reader exported by Indesign CS5

Hi there,
I have export an interactive pdf from indesign CS5 PC version with version 7 update, and it looks fine in most of the PC and Mac Adobe reader.
But 2 of the computer had strange text display. One is the iMAC with latest version of Adobe Reader
<== you can see the text "78" and "454" are abnormal
But with the same computer using Safari with perview plugin is showing following result:

The pdf is embedded with following fonts and property:
Another Windows XP with Adobe Acrobat 9 will had same display as the iMac.
I ensure the Windows XP don't have the font installed with HelveticaNeue and the Mac is using OS Lion Bundle with that font.
Now the customer blame it is the problem of the pdf created by me and I had no idea how to explain to my customer and find out solution.
I had a trial version of CC but same result and no error during the export.
Any idea is highly appreciate. The customer hotline and the live chat is hopeless as they send me to this community to ask since I use CS5 not the latest version.

I had the fonts of Helvetica Neue bold light etc which created by Adobe and the font was created in 1993,shown in font property.
my PDF output is set to interactive not the print one. Other settings are default.
the purpose of this PDF is for user to print out and read on website. The funny thing is print out had no problem at all with HP and Ricoh printer using PCL 6 driver.
Despite Safari, the strange font happened in only Adobe product, other PDF reader had no problem such as foxit reader, xchange reader.
I tried to not embed the font but not able to do indesign, search in Google, it said it always embedded. Also that font family is preloaded in Mac OS.
I can try any test if there is a way to find out the solution.
or what should I do so the PDF should display correctly in all computer
