Regarding the certification

i finished my part1 of oracle 9i certification. i have my "program with plsql" pending. i was working as a database programmer and now have a break of 3 years. i want to update my oracle knowledge so that it will help me to find a good job. can someone give me info on how i can proceed with my certifications and courses and which one will be the best to start with.

I think u have finished Only sql, and u need to continue...
There are two tracks Developer and DBA..Or else u can learn sql and pl/sql alone for developer
One is oracle forms developer sql,pl/sql,forms & Reports
Another one is Oracle DBA sql,pt,fund1 & fund2
Or else u can learn sql and pl/sql for developer do the certification it enough and further u can do later

I am planning to take the certification for Oracle 10g database Associate, and am confused about the codes of the tests I need to take.
I have following queries:-
1) Is it enough to take 1Z0-042, to take Oracle Certified Associate, certification?
2) Is it necessary to take 1Z0-047 as a support for this certification?
3) Would I be considered for job openings if I get certified? (I mean the frequency of jobs). I know it is hard to answer this question, however I want an idea of applying for certified related jobs that accept OCA.

To become OCA you need to do the 1z0-042 exam and one of the following exams: 1z0-007, 1z0-051, 1z0-047.
Becoming certified will put you in front of many people, but what employers are mostly looking for is experience. Many companies require a certification for the person to be even eligible for the interview, others use it as a differential.

Experience regarding the "SAP Associate Enterprise Architect"certification

I would appreciate some input from someone who has taken the above mentioned certification.
Is the Curriculum sufficient and (roughly) how much preparation is needed before besides the various courses before the certification?

passing for this exam requires a broad and thorough understanding of various aspects of eSOA and SAP-products combined with essential architecture skills. it is a pretty new exam, first announced at TechEd 07. too many failed the exam here in the Netherlands, earlier this year. SAP gave those people a second chance.

How can I prepare for the exams?
Concept is tested. If you understand the concept, you have a better chance of answering the question than trying to remember the actual bullet points in the academy course material.
Use the online help to find and review the concepts covered in the certification course material. The information in the online help is presented in a different format to the course material and will therefore solidify the concepts presented. You will be much better prepared to answer the questions regardless of how the question may be worded. This really works.
How many levels will the exam will be conducted?
The certification exam is conducted in three levels, associate, principal and master. If you are a first timer then go with associate level, and there aftre gaining experience you can enhance your career with other levels of exam.

Query Regarding OCP certification

Hi.. I am planning on giving the OCP (1z0-043) certificates in a couple of weeks time. I am also planning to give the 11i Apps DBA (1z0-033) right after that. I have already cleared the OCA certificates a year ago.. Now, what i would like to know is Can i give both the certifications(1z0-043 and 1z0-033) in a span of two weeks and then attend the instructor led class or is it necessary that I have to clear the 1z0-043 first, attend the instructor led training and then only give the 1z0-033 exam

First of all 1Z0-033 is not for Oracle 11i Apps DBA Exam. It's 1Z0-233 - 11i Install Patch and Maintain Oracle Applications - Oracle 11i Applications Database Administrator.
Step 1:As you have already completed the OCA, then you will have to write the Oracle Database 10g: Administration 2 - 1Z0-043 Exam, then you will become as Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional – OCP.

    I want to do HCM certification, SAP was changed the pattern as Associate, Professional and Master.
I'm Abaper so that Can go directly Professional Certification instead of Associate
I was very familiar with HCM but I didu2019nt work in HCM but flow and knowledge is there so that Can I go for Professional Certification.
One more question
There are 2 methods to reach certification
                          1. e-learning : 200 hrs or 5 Months    its about Indian Rs : 180000/-
                          2. Directly with Mentor                      its about 3Lacks

   I do not have HR module experience but I have knowledge of HR Configuration. Basically I do have 2 years of experience in ABAP.
            Is this enough for Professional certificaton. If the certification questions asked from Real Time or from Exprience I may not able to answer those questions.
           Is Professional questions from TAB Materials or they will ask Experience Questions
            I'm still confusing which one I have to Choose either Associate or Professional

Regarding OBIEE certification

Hi All
I'm looking for some advise on how to go about certification in OBIEE. According to information at education.oracle.com, we need to attend training courses before taking the Siebel Analytics Application Developer exam. Is there any change in the certification path where the course/training is not mandatory to take the exam. I would like to start at the beginner level certifications. Would really appreciate any help in this regard.

If you take either course from oracle university you only need to attend one hands on class ... you will not receive 10g DBA OCP without it. (10g DBA OCA does not need it).
If you are taking the course via a WDP instiute, which is more econmical but risks lesser quality, this is less clear to me whether the complete course has to be attended {thread:id=1065168}

Experience may often be more important than certification. I would image the market for DBA's with certifications and little experience is saturated in many parts of the world.
Previous experience in a related business area can help. As you KPO and bigdelboy dunno you should hve a better answer than I; i merely try to mainly do cerification process logistics and strange humour.

You define the Courses, Offerings and Classes for certifications in the OLM catalogue just like any others. Once they have been defined, you can then define the cerrification. Part of the certification process is to choose the course or courses that make up the components of the certification.
If you cannot see the courses you want, it may be because the Course does not have any valid Offerings or Classes
The view that OLM uses to show courses available to the certification includes looking for 'valid' courses so there must be some classes defined which are possible to enrol in.

I have a root CA and a sub CA both windows 2008 R2 ent. I want to generate another Sub CA certificate from my current sub CA however when I try to do so either via web or csr file I get the below error:
The certification authority's certificate contains invalid data. 0x80094005 (-2146877435). Denied by policy module.
I have confirmed that the basic constraint attribute for my current subca is none so I should be able to generate a certificate for a new subca.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

According to your description, you want to build a new CA which is under an existing sub CA (one of your two working sub CAs) to issue certificates to other devices, am I right?
Based on my research, to achieve this, we need to install another
Subordinate Certification Authority. During the installation process, this new sub CA will generate a certificate request to its parent CA.
“The subordinate CA cannot be used until it has been issued a root CA certificate and this certificate has been used to complete the installation of the subordinate CA”, I quoted this
sentence from the article I posted in my last reply.
Therefore, in your case, the process flow should be like:
Install a new sub CA.
Generate a certificate request to its parent CA during installation.
The parent CA approves this request.
Installation of the subordinate CA has completed.
The new sub CA issues new certificates to other devices.
Please feel free to let me know if this method is not working.

I am preparing for the 11g certification and wanted to know the level of detail of the Map questions. What kind of questions can one face in the certification exam with respect to Maps.
