Regarding the Cisco license key

We just purchased new 3750X and got the Cisco license key from the vendor, is there anything I need to do with this Cisco license key? Like software activation?

For the benefit of others, here is what we found. The N7K was hitting the bug CSCtg95381.
Symptom
Nexus 7000 may punt traffic to CPU; so that the traffic may experience random delay or drop.
Further looking, ARP is learned and FIB adjacency is in FIB adjacency table.
Conditions
The problem is caused by race condition. Some hosts have not responded to the ARP refresh sent by
N7k which in turn trigger to delete ARP entry due to expiry. As a result the route delete notification is
sent to URIB from the process. However there is still traffic coming to given IP address as a result the next packet that hit glean resulting in triggering ARP and hope ARP is learnt from the host this time.
Workaround
(s):
Clear ip route < host>.
Not totally explains why it was working for certain client-server combination but yet the workaround is holding well for end-points when implemented.
There would be no host route for the destination server in the adjacency manager on N7K-01. The only thing thats there is the subnet route pointing towards the vlan gateway address. Implementing the work-around, a new /32 route can now be seen in the adjacency manager for the server.
The bug is fixed in releases starting 5.1(5). Planning to upgrade to 5.2(3a).

How do you delete the encrypted license key for an app?

Aperture freezes computer when opening. I've been given tips in Aperture forum that my license key may be corrupted. I've tried reinstalling Aperture, however it uses my key from previous install.
I have reinstalled latest update to SL, deleted Aperture and used timemachine to install an older version. Nothing seem to work. I'm hoping it is something simple. I have a bride waiting on her wedding pics and I am getting desperate. I don't want to go to LR but may have no choice.

Three things:
1. Open Keychain Access in your Utilities folder. If the key is stored there you can locate it and remove it.
2. Download Easy Find - VersionTracker or MacUpdate - and use it to search for both visible and invisible files associated with Aperture to try and locate the preference file in which the key is saved. You can then delete that file which should force Aperture to ask for the registration code.
3. If Aperture has an uninstaller (may be on the DVD) then use the uninstaller to remove it. That should then remove all traces including the registration key.

You can choose either 32 bit or 64 bit install before you use the Product Key.
But as Hans mentioned, if you use the product key on both, it will count as two installs of Office and you may get the error like "The Product Key is invalid".

Loose class files should be installed under the WEB-INF/classes directory - in a subdirectory which corresponds to your Java package. So, for example, the class com.foo.MyTest would need to be installed in the WEB-INF/classes/com/foo directory. You can also package your classes up in a JAR file and install the JAR in the WEB-INF/lib directory. Classes in either of these locations will automatically be available to the web application.
Note that this behavior is actually defined by the Servlet specification (see section 9 "Web Applications" in the Servlet 2.3 spec). You can grab the spec from:

A "Web Reputation Filters" key was downloadedfrom the Cisco Ironport key server.....

Recently we received an alert from our Ironport S370 appliance indicating that a new Web Reputation Filters key had been downloaded and placed into the pebnding area: EULA acceptance required. This key shows a 256 days validity however our current key still has 250 days left on it..... Why would a new key be downloaded when the old one still has so much time left on it? My undestanding is that a key is just used to enable a feature but being that the feature is already enabled and has several months of validity why would a new key be needed? I find it a little strange.

When Web Reputation Filters (WBRS) expired, all web sites that accessed using WSA as Web proxy will not get any reputation score and the filtering in WSA policies based on reputation score will not function therefore if for example accessing web site that has bad reputation score and should be blocked automatically by WSA when WBRS in functioning will not happened and all sites will be accessible without reputation score filtering (expose threats and strongly recommend to validate the feature keys).

ASA 5505 Failure replaced and need to move the license key?

Can someone point me in the right direction? My ASA 5505 died due to a power surge and I swapped it with a spare. I had Security Plus and a 50 user license and need to move the license keys from the failed ASA 5505 to the new one. I think this is totally unacceptable. For anyone else who uses a 5505 at home and has bought licenses and the hardware out of their own pocket, the idea here should be that you've already bought the hardware and the license. Seems obvious, right?
Yes I can see the license being device specific if not only because that's the way you've designed your licensing activation schema; but if I've just had your product fail and bought another replacement, there should be an understanding or agreement between Cisco and the user that we can reinstate any licenses we've already bought.
Do you really believe it's fair to make someone buy something from you twice, something that they've already bought from you? Do you actually believe that? I believe that the people in the Cisco Licensing department would agree with my viewpoint and I have a pending case with them for this issue right now. I will post my result here.
Make your products last and perhaps I can give credence to your licensing beliefs, until then your products fail and so does your licensing logic.

B&H in NYC still selling CS6 Extended for students. Is this legit? Will Adobe still provide the license keys for download?

If I purchase Photoshop CS6 Extended (student edition) from B&H website, will I receive the Adobe license keys? I tried this at another university bookstore locally and could not make this work. Got the impression Adobe is no longer providing keys to download this package. Help please.

We do not use the component. Net Report Designer.This module was developed (under Visual Studio 2003 CR-IX using the free license key which is coming with MVS) for one of our customers who wished to post the reports of his company, we thus composed the merge-modules by using its CR-IX server license.Today we wish to sell this module on our website, and prepare for this purpose a new compilation of the merge-modules under Visual Studio 2005.The problem of license arises again, since one needs on the one hand a license to install u201CXI R2 Server Packageu201D (for MVS2005 compatibility), and a license to build the single merge-module which will be distributed to the customers (is a free license key for build and distribute working merge-modules ?).
We would like to know the possibilities that you propose to carry out this type of scenario.
We are convinced that this module promotes the use of CrystalReport without replacing him since we do not integrate and will never integrate the component designer.

Has anyone tried the JDO tutorial provided with Kodo 4.1.2? Everything works fine until I try to create the mappings with 'mappingtool -p jdo.properties package.jdo'. Then I get:

I think the problem is getting Kodo to recognize the license outside of a web application. I am trying to use Kodo in a standalone application and obviously need it to recognize the license key.

the web application (I am also working on a standalone application). I think
the problem is that the code still requires the "old" solarmetric license
key next to the bea license key. I actually run into the same problem if I
don't specify both keys. Since I still have several important bugs already
open for months and registering an issue requires writing complete testcases
including manuals how to use these test cases, I actually didnt even bother
to register this one.

Unable to Use License Key

I downloaded Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04s - Full ABAP Edition with Web Dynpro for ABAP.
I am able to set up the same and i am able to logon to the NSP system.
But when i am trying to use my license key which i got from SDN it is saying the invalid license key. I tried with replaceing ZERO with "O" still it is showing the same. Could any body help me in this regard
