Regarding the various installations with Eclipse.

Hi,
Previously I have installed the jdk1.4 version @c:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10.
Then I have copied the Eclipse verison3.2
Then I have installed the jdk1.4 version at some other location c"\j2sdk1.4.2_10.
I have removed the jdk version 1.4 which was at c:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10.
Now If I try to open the eclipse its giving an error saying that
"     Error: could not open 'c:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_10\lib\i386\jvm.cfg'     "
Followed by
some eclipse warnings.
Please can anyone tell me how to change the jvm path to the eclipse.
Thanks.

swappolube speeds up the applications memory processing, it speeds up the data reading from the hard drive, its really awesome and not risky.
it doesn't matter if you overclock or implement swappolube first, its the same thing if you did one before the other, and no black plastic isn't required, its just that it has super fast transitions, but i recommand using 'theme customizer' you can get the same fast transitions with this awesome package, don't forget you'll find it in the settings after you install it .

  • Regarding the Post Installation and SP Level

    Hi All,
    We have installed NWDI on our existing EP Dev Server.Installation was successful but regarding the post installation we are in a thinking as how best we could patch the newly installed NWDI system.
    As our EP system is on SP 11and NWDI system on sp 9,Do we need get EP and NWDI Patch level in Sync? as there would be developers working from EP and BW as well on this NWDI server.
    Here My doubt is:-
    Do the Nwdi System needs to be in the same patch level as our EP system (as it is installed on EP itself.)
    Do we need to run the Template for the Newly installed NWDI only after the Patch Upgradation?
    Kindly Advice
    Regards
    Santosh.N.G

    the patch level of EP and NWDI should be same

  • The Building Installer with Robohelp

    I am using RoboHelp for HTML version 8
    So, the build engineers and others are wondering if there is not some way to cut down on the number of files or reduce the compiled help to a single file. Apparently, with chm files they just had to account for a single file. But they regard the current process as quite complicated, since they have to put lines in the installer for each of the Robohelp files, of which there may be over a 100 depending on the number of topics, etc. Is there some way I can help them out?

    Hi there
    If you are generating WebHelp, you really do need to consider ALL the output files to be needed. But that's only if you really want your help to function under all circumstances.
    Note that it should be possible for your developers to use wildcards to specify files. This means that instead of painfully adding entry after entry of this.htm and that.htm and theother.htm, they specify *.htm and all files in the folder would be included.
    Cheers... Rick

  • [Solved]Can't finish The Hobbit installation with virtual drive

    Is there any way that I could combine two iso files into one so that I could finish The Hobbit installation process.  I always get stuck at the point where it asks for the second disk and gnome-disk-utility won't unmount the first ISO because it's still in use by the installation process.
    I tried doing this
    $ sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop disc1-mountpoint
    $ sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop disc2-mountpoint
    $ sudo mkisofs -l -J -R -o dvd.iso disc1-mountpoint disc2-mountpoint
    and here's what I got
    I: -input-charset not specified, using utf-8 (detected in locale settings)
    Using BILBO000.ICO;1 for /bilbo.ico (bilbo.ico)
    Using AUTORUN000.INF;1 for /Autorun.inf (Autorun.inf)
    genisoimage: Error: '/media/dc/bilbo.ico' and '/media/live/bilbo.ico' have the same Rock Ridge name 'bilbo.ico'.
    genisoimage: Error: '/media/dc/Autorun.inf' and '/media/live/Autorun.inf' have the same Rock Ridge name 'Autorun.inf'.
    Unable to sort directory
    NOTE: multiple source directories have been specified and merged into the root
    of the filesystem. Check your program arguments. genisoimage is not tar.
    So here's what I'm currently trying right now.
    $ cat HobbitCD1.iso > The_Hobbit.iso
    $ cat HobbitCD2.iso >> The_Hobbit.iso
    Okay, so doing that didn't return any errors, now to see if I can finish the installation with the new ISO file.
    Nope it still asks for disk 2.  So the real question is how can I force the first disk to unmount so that I can replace it with the second disk?

    progandy wrote:Why don't you try this?
    Manually mount the first iso image, begin installation, forcibly unmount old iso, mount new iso, continue installation.
    Oh, you can forcibly unmount something?!
    (read the manpage for umount)
    Oh, whaddaya know, you can.
    from umount's manpage
    -f Force umount (in case of an unreachable NFS system). (Requires kernel 2.1.116 or later.)
    I dunno why I didn't think to check the manpage for umount.  Sorry, my bad.
    EDIT: Okay, so forcibly unmounting the iso didn't work.  I was able to force umount, but I couldn't disassociate the /dev/loop2 from the HobbitCD1.iso file.  losetup doesn't seem to support forcing.  I think that I better just install this under Windows and then copy and paste the installed files to my external hard drive and then move them onto my laptop from there.  =/ Not really what I was looking for, though.

  • How to schedule the various installations?

    Hi guys.............I am again seeking your expert guidance.
    So far, my n900 is working fine...
    Initially, I downloaded the Extra-Codecs, along with kmplayer and mplayer and the whole arrangement has solved the video related problems;
    I have also upgraded to the latest ver. 1.3( a few weeks back).........................downloaded and configured the n900 Repositories( Extras/ Extra-Devel/ Extra Testing)....only yesterday;
    Also downloaded Cutetube yesterday.........and it is working perfectly. So far no problems.
    Next I want to go for the........ FM Transmitter fix..........Swappolube............Office-Products..........Hildon's 9 home-screens................and then the Over-clocking.
    Here I need your help and guidance:
    How to schedule these downloads/ installations? Which one do I do first?
    Any other suggestions besides the above?
    Shall I go for the abiword/ gnumeric or go for the paid version of the Documents to Go?
    Whether Black-plastic theme is required after doing the Swappolube and Over-clocking?
    Later I plan to go for the Meego installation as well...but that can wait till the next April, when the version 1.2 comes out.
    Thanks.

  • Regarding the File Adapter with Code Page problem

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario where I am processing file at receiver end. The code page of the file is Cp037. When I try with this, I am facing the problem. Is there anyway where I can chage the code page of the file which is to processed by File adapter receiver.
    I have one idea but I don't know whether it is possible or not. It is to use XML Anonymizer Module.
    Please get back to me with your ideas.
    Regards,
    Achari

    Hi Achaari,
    Cp037 ( EBCDIC ) is not a basic but an extended encoding set which might not be supported by the file encoding parameter at the receiver file adapter.
    Either you can try the code page conversion using java code  as mentioned in  this[ post|Code page conversion;
    Please refer Problem with EBCDIC

  • Urgent:Regarding the Pre-Installation Tasks

    Hi,
    I have a scenario:
    Currently, i have installed Oracle AS Infrastructure(D'base 10.1.0.5.0) as a pre-requisite for installing oracle Content DB.
    My Question is : Is that mandatory that i have to again install oracle 10g database as pre-requisite before installing oracle content DB.
    Please help me.
    Regards,
    - Sri

    As long as you can perform all the pre-install steps using SQL*Plus (as the SYS user), and you can bring up and shut down the database, I think you will be fine. iFS manages it's own schema (default name: IFSSYS) and doesn't require SYSDBA or SYS access. The only time the SYS user is required is during installation and configuration. If your configuration is successful, you should be fine, as far as iFS is concerned.

  • I think I chose the wrong Installation Option - Now what???

    I installed Leopard right when it came out and love the new OS. But, at the time I did not know what the various installation options meant or implicated. So, I chose the first/default "Upgrade OSX" option.
    Now, I have not been having any specific problems, but I think my computer should be faster when loading certain apps and toggling around between spaces, dashboard, and multitasking. The more I read about the installation options, I feel that my mac would run better if I reinstalled Leopard using another installation option, like Archive and Install.
    Is this a true concern? Should I reinstall using another option to operate at full potential? How do I go about doing that... same as before? Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
    Phil

    Hi Phil Mutz;
    So far I have used Upgrade to install Leopard on five Macs, two of my own and three for friends. So far all of them are all operating just as they were with Tiger. From my experiences with Leopard, I suspect that your problem is elsewhere on your system rather then how you installed Leopard.

  • SAP ECC6.0 installation with Oracle RAC

    Hi Expert,
    Current we working on SAP ECC6.0 installation with Oracle 10G RAC on AIX 5.3. The RAC are running on two nodes (servers). And we are using GPFS filesystem (not running on HACMP).
    Overall we had completed the Oracle RAC installation (CRS+RDBMS) and tested the oracle failover and it work find. Now we want to start with the SAP installation (with HA). In the SAP installation documentation, it did request to create a virtual hostname on the node and execute the sapinst scripts with below command line.
    #./sapinst SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME=ascs00
    But if we are running on Oracle RAC + GPFS do we need to specify the virtual hostname? If not, which hostname i should use to install the HA for SAP?  Please advice.
    Regards.

    And then I'd continue with the documentation at:
    SAP on Oracle => SAP on Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
    There you can find several installation guides for windows/UNIX/Linux

  • Verify user pin on a smart card & load a cap file on a card (with eclipse)

    I have been able install JCWDE (Java card development Kit) successfully on eclipse.Basically all I need to do is verify user pin on a smart card.As in first set a pin and then verify it.
    To begin with I have referred many tutorials (here: http://www.javaworld.com/jw-07-1999/jw-07-javacard.html?page=1) and implemented the wallet code in eclipse.I have the cap file generated and the scripts generated.I am not sure how to load it on the smart card with eclipse.
    I tried to deploy the cap file but it keeps saying connected.Also when we initiate the applet I get the same result.
    output:
    Java Card 2.2.2 APDU Tool, Version 1.3
    Copyright 2005 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All rights reserved. Use is subject to license terms.
    Opening connection to localhost on port 9032.
    Connected.
    I have also tried : http://www.cs.ru.nl/E.Poll/hw/practical.html ........ but no luck.
    I have the wallet.cap ,wallet.exp ,wallet.jca ,wallet.opt create.script, select,cap-download.scripts files already generated in eclipse.
    How does a successfully implemented applet code on a smart card work?How does this wallet code work if it is successfully implemented ? Does it have like some GUI which prompts the user to enter the pin?
    Wallet code for reference :

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot for reply.But I am not sure as to how can I delete the simulator.
    All I want to do is write a pin on the smart card and verify it.But I am not being able to deploy the cap file or initiate the applet.
    Also for passing the pin correct me if I am wrong........ according to what you said and what I have understood
    If the code is like this :
    public static void install(byte[] bArray, short bOffset, byte bLength) {
    // create a Wallet applet instance
    new Wallet(bArray, bOffset, bLength);
    } // end of install method
    byte aLen = bArray[bOffset]; // applet data length
    // The installation parameters contain the PIN
    // initialization value
    pin.update(bArray, (short)(bOffset+1), aLen);
    Lets say my pin is : 1234
    then I would pass it here.....
    new Wallet(bArray, 1234, bLength);

  • Compiles well with eclipse but not with javac

    Hello.
    I am using Windows XP and eclipse 3.0.2.
    I have j2sdk-1_4_2_07-windows also.
    I built class files from the code below with eclipse.
    On jre, It silently runs and exits as expected.
    But when compiled with javac, It does not.
    It dumps a stack trace.
    Which compiler is right?
    public class ANullPointerException {
         private Object o = new Object();
         private Sub sub = new Sub();
         private abstract static class Super {
              protected abstract Object access();
              private Super() {
                   access();
         private class Sub extends Super {
              protected Object access() {
                   return o;
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              new ANullPointerException();
    }the stack trace was as below
    java.lang.NullPointerException

         at ANullPointerException.main(ANullPointerException.java:20)
    Exception in thread "main" I found 3 class files built by eclipse. They were
    ANullPointerException$Sub.class,
    ANullPointerException$Super.class and
    ANullPointerException.class.
    No missing or extra files found, I think.
    But I found 4 class files built by javac. They were
    ANullPointerException$1.class,
    ANullPointerException$Sub.class,
    ANullPointerException$Super.class and
    ANullPointerException.class.
    I do not know why ANullPointerException$1.class is needed.
    Thank you in advance.

    I found the answer myself.
    I have been setting the eclipse's .class file compatibility to 1.4.
    But it is not javac's default.
    So all I need to do is javac -target 1.4 ANullPointerException.java.
    Sorry for a noise

    Hi All,
    I was not able to solve the problem with MS SQL 2000, but I was able to resolve the issue with MS SQL 2005.
    You have to chhose the following settings while instalation,
    Service Account - Select one of the following options:
    1) Use the built-in System account for each service and choose Local system or Network Service.
    2) Use a domain user account, and enter the user name and password.
    Under Start services at the end of setup make sure that SQL Server and SQL Server Agent are selected.
    Authentication Mode
    1) Select Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication).
    This mode is required for a Java or ABAP+Java system.
    If you choose this mode, you have to set the password for the sa login.
    Note: The password for the sa login must comply with the Windows password policy.
    Collation Settings
    1) Select SQL collations (used for compatibility with previous versions of SQL Server).
    2) From the drop-down list select Binary order based on code point comparison, for use with the 850 (Multilingual) Character Set.
    I hope this helps!

  • Pdq deploy.. run deploy / installation with user admin & pass

    Does the installation need to display windows for the end user to see? If so, the Logged On User is usually correct. If the installation requires Administrative rights AND you still to display information for the end user to see then choose Run As Deploy User (Interactive). It will install with the deploy user's credentials but can still display windows or other items attributed to an interactive installation.

    Hi,
    how to set it to run the deploy / installation with user admin & password
    even if the log on users does not have right security to run the installation
    thanks..
