Regarding Timed Controlled Sync in smart synchronization

Hi,
The MI documentation says that Timed controlled sync is not supported with File I/O in smart synchronization.
Is there any difference between Timed COntrolled sync and timed two way synchronization which is performed using timed two way sync bos (T01)
If they are same, does it mean that any application using timed two way sync bos, should have a mobile database.

using this help , we can change the parameters in the MobileEngine.config file , so that it support time controlled synchronization.
Time Controlled Synchronization
Synchronization start automatically at a defined time interval as a background job.
i think file system is not so secure and not so easy to retrieve the data . there are chances for errors diring synchronization .If one error happens , that can damage the file system data base .
so in general , replace the file system with database (DB2E or MaxDB ) is the best option.
In the case of databases like DB2E , we can even administrate the database using proper GUI administrators ..

Hi sre .... do u wana copy F2 to credit/debit memos or credit/debit memo REQUESTS?
Note that debit memo request is a sales documt n debit memo is a billing document.
I think u wanted to say the the REQUESTs. Coz that is the general requiremnt. But SAP has already provided the copy cotl from F2 to L2(debit memo req) n f2 to G2(credit memo req). So by t-code VTAF(billing to sales doc), u may see that....
Otherwise for copying F2 to debit/credit MEMO, go to VTFF code (billing to billing copy cotl).. Here also SAP has given the copy cotrols u want..

Can I use my Maschine knobs to control multiple instruments "smart controls" in LPX independently?

Can I use 1 hardware contoller to control multiple instruments "smart controls" in LPX? For example....if I mapped 1 instrument's smart controls to my maschine contoller would it overwrite them if I mapped another instruments smart controls to them? I'm wondering if I can switch between mapping's based on which instrument/track I have selected. I know I can do this with quick learn feature....problem is you can only use 1 knob with it.

Thank you for your help, my example is working. Please look the my revised example and let me know if I'm making it more complicated than necessary. In order for it to work,
1. I created a cluster on my front panel to hold the control group reference numbers,
2. Converted it to typedef,
3. Used bundle with name to stuff the control reference numbers into my RefCluster,
4. Used the RefCluster typedef in my subVI,
5. In the subVI, I had to add a variant to data command before using the data.
I also extended the example to actually change values on the front panel to verify that it worked as I intended.

Smart Synchronization Without calling BAPI wrapper

I am very new to SAP MI development...
I wanted to know that
is it possible to call BAPI directly not calling with use of BAPI Wrapper?
is there any other way to do Smart Synchronization where BAPI wrappern not required?

if u directly want to call the BAPI u will need to call the underlying RFC related to that BAPI.
This is done through Generic Synchronization.
Please refer to documents on help.sap.com and MDK for further help.

.Mac slideshow timing control.

AJAX slideshow with its snazzy look, but lack of timing control made it a poor implementation. I had cracked it. Here is the procedure:
1. Download: http://hac.95mb.com/dotMac/Arts_files/KBDIF.js
2. Put KBDIF.js in the same folder as slideshow.html --> typically: Photos_files folder
3. Edit slideshow.html
3a. open it with TextEdit
3b. search for 'slideshow.js'
3c. insert:

just below:
<script src="http://www.mac.com/1/slideshow/scripts/slideshow.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
so it looks like:

That's it, you just added timing control. Keyboard inputs:
1 - 9 = number of seconds delay between slide.
0 = 10 seconds delay
Note: When AJAX slideshow first starts up, there is a 10-15 seconds delay for the slides and thumbnails to be loaded. I can't control that, unless I hack a lot more of AJAX js.
And default delay is 5 seconds.

Amazon MP3 files won't sync in Smart Playlist

For the last couple weeks my Amazon MP3 files are in iTunes, sync to iPod but won't sync in Smart Playlist. iPod Touch 5, iOS 7.0.4
My entire library is MP3. I keep no AAC files and very few iTunes songs because it is an additional step to convert them. My songs are used on multiple devices, including Android and I have a fear of commitment. It isn't that I don't trust Apple (okay it is) but I don't trust anyone. I'm against proprietary anything. If I couldn't keep it in MP3 I wouldn't have an iPod.
I bought an album and several songs and they sync to the iPod but not to any created Smart Playlist. It is kinda weird. I changed the list to only an hour and that made the list entirely the new songs but when I did the sync to my iPod Touch 5, different songs were there. Same number of songs, same display of time. When I look in iTunes under iPod, it says the correct songs are synced. The iPod itself tells a different story.
The songs are on the iPod. I can find them individually and play them, no problem. The Smart Playlist is for songs not played in the last 30 days, better than 3 Star rating. I deleted the Smart Playlist and created an new one with a different name from scratch, same result.
What gives?

Is there a way of persuading iCloud to sync the smart groups I have in address book on my Mac

I have a small number of smart groups in address book on my iMac. but these do not sync through iCloud to my Macbook or iPod touch. Everythin else syncs even ordinary groups, but not the smart groups. Is there a way of persuading iCloud to do it? I can fully sync my Macbook contacts by exporting an archive from the iMac and then comying and importing this to the Macbook. But this is old technology.

IPhone 4 Fails to Start Sync Wifi, Smart Playlists Won't Sync Wifi or Wired, and Missing Artwork iTunes Screensaver

I recently deleted a few gigs worth of photos off my iPhone 4. Ever since I've been having trouble with a few things. All software is up to date. So far here are the things I've noticed that seem suspicious.
iPhone fails to start sync using wifi. It times out on Step 1 (starting sync) or Step 2 (backup). I've tried closing and reopening iTunes, restarting the MBP and iPhone, and deleting my iPhone backup. In some cases iTunes loses the connection to phone and won't come back. It syncs fine using a USB cable, but won't get past step 2 using wifi. I hate wires so I would prefer to do this over the air.
My smart playlists no longer sync. I've tried unchecking the boxes and selecting them again, but nothing. Duplicating an exisitng smart playlist and selecting it to sync seems to have worked for now, but I'm concerned about now being able to add my original playlist. Sounds like a larger issue to me.
My iTunes screensaver on my MBP no longer displays artwork. It says there is no artwork to display, but iTunes still has artwork in it.
I've read numerous threads about all these issues. I know there are many people out there having these problems. I just haven't found a good solution for any of them. Everything was working beautifully until I tried to clean up some old stuff on my phone. Apple is playing dumb according to the people that have contacted them.
I'm running:
OSX Lion 10.7.4
iTunes 10.6.3
iOS 5.1.1

Hello,
Your error message is related to GUI_DOWNLOAD, which is a frontend function.
You simply cannot use it in background, because it puts a file on the
frontend PC where you start the function (WS = WorkStation).
Note that GUI_DOWNLOAD is intendted to be used for dialog user
and will not run at BACKGROUND.

Can One Sync a Smart Mailbox to .Mac???

I use a smart mailbox for all emails that need attending (if message is flagged.& if in Inbox) now, I would like to have that "smart" folder sync to my .mac account somehow, as it is IMAP there must be a way... any ideas?
I realise anything in my .mac account, which is in my inbox stays online too, but i have three main mail accounts...
A long shot... but ideally i'd like to be able to remove the flag from .mac (online)
Any Ideas.... Anyone?

Sync a Smart Folder with it's contents to .mac?

I use Mail with a few smart folders to organise things.... not a power user by any means.
Here is a problem i'd love to find a solution for.
I subscribe to feeds in Mail.app on my main mac at work, during the day i'll flag the ones which i'd like to read further. I use a Smart mailbox to show me only flagged RSS. now, what i'd like to happen is for that Smart mailbox to sync with my .mac account somehow, so when i get home i can read the feeds at leisure...
Any Ideas?
I do know i could use a different app for my feeds, or google reader, but i like keeping things in one place as much as possible..

OK. Today, i finally found half a solution. . .
pretty simple. but works for now- unfortunately I have to manually sync...
so-
I created a smart folder with all flagged feeds in Mail.app
I wanted to view my flagged feeds on my other macs
I didn't want to use yet another piece of software, or web based app.
My simple solution is - keep a folder on my me.com server named RSS...
Now, go to your smart folder, drag and drop all the flagged feeds to your me.com folder.
head home, read feeds, unflag, or better delete when done...
now, can anyone tell me how to create a rule or some-such to make the moving of flagged feeds to my me.com account automatic?
Rules don't seem to have "flagged" only as an option.

How to make my computer control sync

I want to have iTunes sync with my iPhone controlled by my computer. In other words, only changes made on my computer are sync'ed. Changes made on my iPhone would not sync onto my computer.

Playlists are stored in the file iTunes Library.itl. If your backup method includes versions then you restore temporarily a version of the library that includes the playlist, export it as an xml or m3u playlist file, then restore your current database and reimport the playlists. Alternatively you can try option/alt starting iTunes and accessing one of the archived library files in your .../iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries folder, export the playlist, then switch back to the main library file in the iTunes folder before importing the playlist.
