Regarding Turnkey Projects Procurement

Hi SAP Experts,
We have a client Requirement, which is Turnkeys Project procurement, in which
Step 1) The client awards Turnkey tender to Vendor which includes both the Materials & services,
Step 2) The client inspects the Material Made (Quantity & Quality) at vendors warehouse, & release a payment of 60% for executing the Project.(The Client wants to capture this process in SAP, although the accounting will not happen in clients stores)
Step 3) The Vendor then picks up the material & do installation at the required sites.(the clients needs the consumption data of material)
Step 4) The Client checks the work executed, & Pays accordingly.
How this process can be mapped in SAP.
Regards
Pankaj Verma

hi,
turn key project means where you start everything from scrap.
like designing the Architechture, hardware, installations etc.
everything  like starting from a vacant land to building a house.
B1 is  bussiness one i think
SAP has introduced Bussiness one software for small companies may that is B1 project.

  • Problem regarding JAVA project...

this is the brief discussion about my project :it actually automatically fillup the application forms or other forms on net
(on the sites mentioned).Actually the information that is to be fill up in application form is saved on the hard disk in the form of text file .N ow my project read this text file and fill up the application form on net.
I am actually learning core java and i want to know which book to follow for JAVA regarding my project(Means i don't know which book to follow after core java . THERE ARE servlets and JSP books,or others books) .i have not started it(project) yet.i am learning "core java from Head First Java".
and i even don't know what are servlets And JSP ,Why it is use????
and also tell me the books to followed for core java and then for Advanced java ???.If there are any good tutorial regading them ,then plz send me the link.....or email me at [email protected]

You need to be proficient in core Java (J2SE) before even thinking about starting on J2EE.
But if you want to learn more about what J2EE is, why not read the tutorial: [http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/JavaEETutorial.pdf]

  • FlexUnit 4 alpha 1.0 turnkey project available

For those of you interested, an alpha 1 build of with the new FlexUnit 4 features is available from the open source download site:
    http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexunit/Downloads
You can find a quick overview of the available features and new syntax here.

When you find bugs, please log them in Jira.
    Cheers,

    Hi msakrejda,
I had the same problem initially, I fixed it by using the swcs from FlexUnit 4.0 (i.e. not the beta):
    http://www.flexunit.org/?page_id=14
From what I could see the turnkey project was only in the beta download so to get this working with the Flex 4 SDK, use the turnkey project from the beta, but in the libs folder, clear out everything except "hamcrest-1.0.2.swc". Then from your 4.0 download, copy "flexunit-4.0.0.swc" and "flexunit-uilistener-4.0.0.swc" in to the libs folder in your turnkey project.
That worked first time for me (apart from 2 CSS warnings which can be safely ignored).
    Hope that helps.
    Paul.

  • Problem regarding SAP Project System & Material Management

    Hello Experts,
please check our process as below:
Order confirms than sales order and project will create
material of BOM is assigned to any activity in project so these material (RM) will be procured and consumed
assign activity for all work done on material to produce FG or SFG.
confirm activity whenever any work done like fabrication done so confirm and its cost comes to WBS.
than we have to subcontracting process so dispach SFG from this and receive after activity done by third party.
than more work is done and confirm these activity. than after all work done we get FG in stock. than delivery from project.
We are facing issue in above business process of our client as below:
    1. process of subcontracting using project system as we are not using production planning. how we get any SFG for subcontracting process.
    2. if we confirm all activities and consume all Raw Materials than how we will get finished good in our project stock for delivery.
    3. after delivery from project how sales order affects with regards to completeness of this sales document.
    Please help for this.
Note: Remember we are not using PP cos customer require detailed report of these process and capacity planning etc.
    Thanks
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
Assume this is my project structure & attached components. I will procure this components externally. After GRN, This components will be issued to network with 581 Q movement type.
Now we need to assemble this raw material to produce our FG, As these SFG are in our project stock. What we need to do for assembly process through PS.
Also throw some light over benefit of using PS-BOM interface ( CN33 ) for attaching material components.

    Hello Vijay,
<a href="http://www.sap.com/services/education/consultant/solutionacademy/index.epx">Here</a> you can find an overview of the different consultant training.
You have a track for Portal (<a href="https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/sapidp/011000358700003602072006E">link</a>) and also one for KM (<a href="https://websmp207.sap-ag.de/sapidp/011000358700003602162006E">link</a>).

  • Regarding direct material procurement in Classic scenario.

    Hello SRM Gurus ,
We are implementing SRM5.0 classic scenario, (SSP with CCM).
As per standard , Shopping cart for a direct material (Requisition for
stock) will create a follow-on document in SRM only (controlled extended
    classic scenario).
Client's requirement is that it should create a back-end PR in R/3 system.
Reason being, the client needs to have only one indenting system and one
    procurement system.
which BAPI in R/3 for PR/PO has to be used to create PRs or Pos from SRM. Similarly, RFC  which FMs have to be used to update status in SRM.
How to bypass the standard replication mechanism.
    Please help me..
    Thanks and regards,

    Hi
<b>Why not go for the BADI -> BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE</b>
    Or
<u>Alternatively using SPRO settings, you can change the standard behaviour of the system based on various attrbutes e.g., for a Particular Product, Item category, etc.</u>
    <b>Here is the Path ->
IMG -> Supplier Relationship Mnagement -> SRM Server -> Cross-Application Basic settings -> Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations, Purch. Orders)</b>
<b>Define Objects in Backend System (Purch. Reqs, Reservations,</b>
You perform this step only if you create your Materials Management documents in a backend system.
You specify the documents that are to be created in the backend system for a requirement coverage request.
The following documents can be created:
    Purchase requisition
    Purchase order
    Reservation
You enter a product category (such as office supplies, or hardware) and/or an organizational unit. The organizational unit contains the purchasing group that is responsible for procuring products in this category.
You can enter the product category generically, such as Office*.
    Note
The backend system is determined  using the product category in the requirement coverage request item. The item also contains the organizatinal unit.
You can use the Business Add-In BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE if you wish to implement a different logic for creating documents in the backend system.
    Example
If purchasing group 01 wants to procure materials from the category Raw Materials, a reservation is to be created every time.
If materials in the category PC are to be procured, a purchase requisition is to be created every time.
    Activities
    1. Enter the organizational unit and/or the category.
    2. Enter a source system.
    3. Choose the procurement type.
Reservation if stock is available, otherwise external procurement
The system creates a reservation if the material is subject to inventory management and sufficient stock quantity is available in the warehouse on the requested date.
Always reservation for materials subject to inventory management
The system creates a reservation if the material is subject to inventory management, irrespective of whether stock is available.
    Always external procurement
The system does not create a reservation, but always procures the item externally. In this case, you specify the type of external procurement.
The following options are significant if the system cannot create a reservation (for example, if there is no stock available or for a non-stock item) or the system must not create a reservation (choose Always external procurement).
Purchase order if item data complete, otherwise purchase requisition
The system always tries to create a purchase order. If the item data is incomplete (for example, the vendor or price is not known), the system creates a purchase requisition from the item.
    Always purchase requisition
The system always creates a purchase requisition.
    Always local purchase order
The system always creates a local purchase order.
    Hope this will help.
    Please reward suitable points.

  • Regarding a project in abap

    hi,
I am a newbie in abap.Could anyone suggest me some projects in abap.I have competed some main topics in it like abap dictionary, abap editor, internal tables. So i a nutshell i have completed the basics of abap.
I was wondering, based on my knowledge in abap, could anyone suggest me a project or a task, worthy to be submitted as a college project.
    thanks.

Here is an easy way.  Simple move it to a numeric with a length of 5 and then move it back to ZIPCODE.
    data: n(5) type n.
    n = ZDCM-ZIPCODE.
    ZDCM-ZIPCODE = n.

  • A question regarding Java project in ECLIPSE IDE

    A question regarding eclipse.
    No offence meant.
I have added a jar file to the current project in its build path.
This executes the concerned class file which is in the jar file.
If I remove the jar file from the build path and run the project,
it still executes that class file.
I tried building a clean project and running it,but still executes the jar file and the class.
Any idea why this is happening?

    A question regarding eclipse.

Any idea why this is happening? You have that class file elsewhere
or you have confused your problem statement.
Why don't you create a new project and add everything except that class/jar (whichever yu mean)

how to start? where to start?
    am new to development
can any one help me in this regard?
    jeeva

    Hi,
Start with Reports. What the client is using. What he is expecting.
If he got existing reports map the fields with Business Content BW Fields. Go to Business content and make a list of queries which are delivered from SAP. Explain them the KPI's. This should be good to start with. Also check the Tcodes they use.
Look for DataSources that get data from theses Tcode's.
Project Preparation (Initial stuff -- Do a conceptual review after this phase requirements gathering)
Collect requirement thru interviews with Business teams /Core users / Information Leaders.
Study & analyze KPI's (key figures) of Business process.
    Identify the measurement criteria's (Characteristics).
Understand the Drill down requirements if any.
Understand the Business process data flow if any.
Identify the needs for data staging layers in BW – (i. e need for ODS if any)
    Understand the system landscape.
Prepare Final Requirements Documents in the form of Functional Specifications containing:
Report Owners, Data flow, KPI's, measurement criteria's, Report format along with drilldown requirements.
Business Blue print (Functional spec-- Do a design review after this phase)
Check Business content against the requirements
    Check for appropriate
Info Objects - Key figures & Characters
Check for Info cubes / ODS
Check for data sources & identify fields in source system
Identify Master data document all the information in a file – follow standard templates
    Prepare final solution
Identify differences (Gaps) between Business Content & Functional specification.
Propose new solutions/Developments & changes if required at different levels such as Info Objects, Info cube, Data source etc. Document the gaps & respective solutions proposed– follow standard templates
    Design & Documentation
Design the ERD & MDM diagrams for each cube & related objects
Design the primary keys/data fields for intermediate Storage in ODS
Design the Data flow charts right from data source up to Cube.
Consider the performance parameters while designing data models
Prepare High level / Low level design documents for each data model. --- Follow standard templates
Identify the Roles & Authorizations required and Document it – follow standard templates
Final review of design with core BW users.
    Sign off the BBP documents
Realization ( Develop; Do a configuration review after this phase)
Check & Apply Latest Patches/Packages ...in BW & R/3 systems.
Activate/Build & enhance the cubes/ODS as per data model designs...maintain the version documents.
Identify & activate Info objects / Master data info sources / attributes, prepare update rules
Assign data sources .prepare transfer rules, prepare multi providers. Prepare Info packages.
Perform the unit testing for data loads….both for master data & transaction data.
Develop & test the end user queries.
Design the process chains, schedule & test
Create authorizations / Roles …assign to users..And test
Apply necessary patches & Notes if any freeze & release the final objects to quality systems
    perform quality tests.
Re design if required. (Document changes, maintain versions)
Final Preparation ( QA and Other final stuff before moving to production, Do a performance Review after this phase)
Prepare the final check list of objects to be released .identify the dependencies & sequence of release perform Go Live checks as recommended by SAP in production system
Keep up to date Patch Levels in Production system
Test for production scenarios in a pre-production system which is a replica of production system.
Do not encourage the changes at this stage.
    Freeze the objects.
Go Live and support ( to production and support)
Keep up to date Patch Levels
Release the objects to production system
Run the set ups in R/3 source system & Initialize Loads in BW

  • Regarding CE Project

    Hi Experts,
My first project is on CE 7.2.
I have conceptual knowledge in CE.
I have good practice with webdynpro java(NWDS 7.0.14) , Portal development and ESS and MSS but not real time experience.
so please guide me how to proceed with CE like where i can start and so on..
I hardly have one week's time to join a project.
Could you please guide me to install trail version of CE and also send CE documents.
    appreciate all your support.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Navyat,
As you stated you already have good knowledge of CE and NWDS so i don't think it will be difficult for you to work on the technology scope you should just get friendly with the new Enviornment of NWDS 7.2 which is slightly different in terms of IDE and few more things for a detailed change log you can have a look to this pointer [What's new in SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2?|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20d1fefa-ebf6-2c10-3eba-d12473683ff8] and [SAP CE 7.2 Sample Process Step-by-Step Guide|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/1012981f-8d98-2d10-1cb5-fb9affdd6fd6].

Depends on your experience and the technical knowledge you have. Yes, there are implementation / upgrade projects are going on. Whats on the existing company are there no implementation projects? are you willing to change the job then you need to search on the job search sites. Where are the requirements for project implementations.
If you are sound in technical and has exprience then you will get.

  • Info regarding upgrade project

    Hi Experts,
am going to join to do upgrade project (ECC6.0) till now i ve worked on up to 4.7 only, so what is required knowledge for upgrade project.
and what is unicode is it required for this?
    Thanks in advance.
    sudha.

    Hi,
ECC 6.0 does not support MDMP installations. For those systems, a Unicode
conversion needs to be done before the upgrade to ECC 6.0. A combined Unicode
conversion / release upgrade is another possibility. In such a project, the system is
upgraded to ECC 6.0 and migrated to Unicode in one step.
All this does not apply to your environment. Non-Unicode, single code pages systems
are still supported in ECC 6.0. You have to option to an upgrade to ECC 6.0 and migrate
to Unicode at a later stage. If you want, you can also do a combined Unicode
conversion / release upgrade project which does both in one step.
I cannot predict the expected downtime as it depends on many different factors such as
the database size, size of the biggest table, number of CPUs and amount of memory in your system.
