Regarding two tables in a page of smartform

Hi SAP Gurus,
My issue is as follows,
I am having two internal tables . I need to print them in a page in two blocks. i have created two tables in the main window and diplaying data, the problem is , the second table started printing after the end of first internal table data is displayed on last different page,
what i need is print the data in two tables on a every page simultaneously.
please help,

We can not have more than a [main window|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/81/485ebad94f11d3968f00a0c930660b/content.htm] in a page it seems.
Let me watch, anyone can have a good solution for this.

Cannot get long table on second page of Smartform

I want to create a Smartform with 2+ pages. The first page is a letter, and the second and subsequent pages contain a table which could be one or more pages long.
If I put the letter in the main window of the first page, and the table in the main window of the second page, I do not get a table.
If I put the letter in the main window of the first page, and the table in a secondary window of the second page, then I get the table. But it truncates at the end of the page. It does not go on to multiple pages.
If I put the table on the first page in the main window, then I get the entire table for as many pages as it takes to contain it.
I want the letter on the first page, and the entire table on as many subsequent pages as it takes to contain it. What am I doing wrong?

Define the letter in the first page....if you think that the data is constant for the letter then define it in the secondary window itself and if you think its not then go for main window and in that table...
Now coming to the second page define the data in the main window and also apart from that define the third page also which should be same as second page....
in the second page set go to as third page and in the third page set go to as third page...

and amount of data is also not fixed for table .

Hi Digvijay,
Yes it is possible to show multiple table's data in a continues manner.
In smartform onlt the Main window could be extended according to the table length i.e if the data in a table exceeds the main window height, it is continued in the next page.
So you can declare as multiple tables in the main window.
for example if u have 3 internal table which r needed to be printed in a continues manner u can declare 3 tables in a main window which would be printed one after the other in a continues manner.

I have a requirement in a smartform where i need two tables in every page. These tables should repeat on every page with regard to the data thats getting populated in it.If one table has more data it should not push the second table completely from the page.

If you see in real time printing of Smartform documents like PO or SO or Invoice
we will see two tables data one is header data which will have a single record per document and Item data which will have mulitple records.
So header data is fixed in all pages and the Item data is printed in MAIN window and overflows to other pages depending on the data.
SO Item table data will be printed in number of pages where as the Header table data will pe constantly printed on the header part(top part) of every page.
so you can handle the 2 internal tables data as above

InitAllRows of two tables

Hi
when I add two tables in a page, in jsc, the generated javascript defines initAllRows() twice.
this produces javascript errors. I think the element's name should be a parameter.
function initAllRows() {
var table = document.getElementById("form1:table1");

var table = document.getElementById("form1:table2");
table.initAllRows();
}

The element's name doesn't have to be a parameter. You just need to change the given parameter to the actual element ID.
The exact form of the element ID depends on where the table is in the page hierarchy.
For example, if the table is directly on the form use "<form_name>:<table_name>".
If the table is embedded in a tab on tabset use "<form_name>:<tabset_name>:<tab_name>:<table_name>".
That should take care of the problem.

How to link two tables?

Hello,
I'm trying to create invoices with Pages, but my question is how can I link two tables in one Pages document?
Or having two Header Rows with some 'normal' rows between would also be great. (even better)
I'm trying to calculate my subtotal etc. below my overview of articles.

(1) no way to link two tables in Pages.
(2) you may have several header rows, several footer rows but you can't have standard rows between header (or footer) ones.
You may achieve what you describe without the asked feature.
Use correct ranges and you will be able to calculate subtotals.

I am Passing Two Internal Tables from Driver Program to Smartform it is going to dump and message is showing like this " one of the parameters eded according to the interface description was not specified ".
When i am passing one Internal Table Output is coming Perfectly. Is there any restriction for passing of internal tables.

Check the names specified in the smartfrom and FM whcih you are calling in the driver program. Both might be different....

How to Print two pages in smartforms

Hi All,
How to create two different pages in smartforms.In my requirement the first page contains Table data in main window and in second page only the hard coded desription should be printed containg instructions,but the second page is mandatory after first
page is completed,the first page may have n number of pages after printing those pages my second page should trigger.Help me if any one knows.

hi ,
once a main window size is declared , then that space will be placed in each page created.
eg. if a table with header and footer is created, first of all the space for header and footer are allocated and body page is allocated.
so we cannot dynamically change the size of the main window , even it is a copied main window.
Otherwise another option is to continue the main window into the second page.
for that first page main window -> create table -> add page break command to page 2 -> hard code description in template.
page attribute for first page --> GOTO assign same page ( for continuing the same page)
Page attribute for second page --> no need default is enough

do you mean you have 2 header data n corresponding line items or do you have 2 internal tbale data or something else.

How to print grandtotal in table footer only in the last page in SMARTFORMS

Hello Experts,
How do I print the GRANDTOTAL in the table footer only on the LAST PAGE in SMARTFORMS.
What I have done is in the text element of CELL1 of the table footer i wrote the folowing logic but not working.
/: IF &SFSY-PAGE& EQ &SFSY-FORMPAGES&.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
I even tried this.
/: IF &NEXT-PAGE& EQ 0.
* V_SUM.
/: ENDIF.
but still it displays the grand total on all pages at table footer.
How do i go for this experts.

HI Nambiar,
To print the grand total only on the last page then create the secondary window --> create the text node for the grand total -->In the condition tab check only after the end of the main window.
This grand total will be displayed after all the items and end of the main window.
Footer in the table displays as the subtotals i.e on every page total is displayed..

Odd/Even pages with data from two tables

Hi Forum,
Can you please extend help/suggest with the following scenario:
I have two data tables and one table records needs to be printed on odd pages (Front page) and the other table records need to be printed on even pages (Back page). I need alternating front and back pages based on data records in the tables. Also second table will be having lesser records when compared with first table.
I'm able to get the alternating Odd/Even master pages. But the first table is being printed in both the odd/even pages first and then the second table is being printed in both the odd/even pages. How can I restrict the printing of the first table on odd page and second table on even page?

You can play with pagination tab in your LCD tab, but I have never learnt enough to be able to use it effectively.
If I were in your shoes, I would alter the DDIC structures in the backend so you will only display it in the form, without any suicidal actions through the pagination, scripting or similar stuff.
How: If you need to alter pages, you can do that in your backend, right?
Like you can have a structure page with attributes:
- up/ front: data for the front page
- down/back: data for the back page
and you will alter the data in the table with this structure as a line in your ABAP program and will use to form to display the trnaformated data only.
Well... I don´t tell it is clear/right/ proper solution and cannot tell if there are any obstacles which will not let you use this scenario in your case, but you could consider this as an option...

This is not at all problem...define the two tables in TABLES TAB... so that u can pass from driver program.
If you could explain me the requirement clearly.... i may help you in this regard....
if you are expecting to print the values of two table values in table.....
1) with in the table use first table
2) use the program line or loop to read the second table using where condition....

Ok, because I still not see the issue here - you can develop whatever you like, so why should I implement something that does effect a table when I do not want to effect that table..... Anyway, what would you like to do exactly with that button? Perhaps then I understand your problem.

You have one table. There you display the items with field value X. Ok, and when you press a button you want them to be -
removed from the client?
Well, to be honest. JSP is stupid. It does not know when you press the button, what values are displayed there. Only when it is a button of a form and the form was informed about the GUID of these items - then you can work with these GUIDs. I think in your case the easiest way it to say: If I press the first button, then please do this and that on all elements that contain an X in the field, and if I press the second button, do something else on all items without an X in the field. So the easiest way is to do the select statement again in the coding.

Two tables in the same uix page

Hi! I work with Jdeveloper and UIX with the framework Jheadstart. I need to save data of two tables at same time; i mean , two tables in the same page which save with the same submitbutton. i have made some tries editing the service file, some templates and of course the page, but sometimes it works and sometimes not, i dont know what's happening and i really need to resolve this problem urgently. i hope someone can help me and i'd thank you a lot.

Two tables on the same page. Is it possible?

I followed the multi-slect sample in Winston's blog and everything is working. However, when I tried to put two tables on the same page, the selections are all messed up. When I looked at the code again I realized the line
RowKey rowKey = (RowKey)getValue("#{currentRow.tableRow}");
in the setSelected(Object object) method.
In the case that there are more than one tables on one page, how does the code which table it is refering to? Or how the code should be different so we can have multi tables with selectable rows on the same page? Thnx.
