  • Very urgent - Regarding variables on Multicube.

    Hi Experts
    I created a multicube using two basic cubes(one for R/3 data and another one for CRM Data).
    In my reports i want to put 2 variables for CRM(Debit memo date) and R/3 (Billing Date).
    when i execute the report without entering any values for both the dates i am getting the values from both the cubes.
    If i enter the dates in selection condition for both the variables i am not getting the values.
    If I enter one variable value and viceversa i am getting the values from the respective cube.
    so why i am not getting the valuse by entering values for both the varibales in selection.
    Thanks
    Shiva

    Hi,
    Both dates are based on 0CALDAY. Looks like you give different selections for 0CALDAY and the system doesn't understand which one to use. Try to give the same dates for both variables. Will it bring any data?
    Which selections have you tried already?
    Best regards,

  • Regarding Variable Proc. Typ REPLACEMENT PATH

    HI EXPERTS,
    CAN ANY ONE EXPLAIN HOW THE REPLACEMENT PATH VARIABLE TYPE HELPS IN REPORTS AND IN WHT SENARIOS WE CAN USE. PLZ EXPLAIN THIS WTH AN EXAPLE.
    REGARDS
    RAMAKRISHNA K

    Hi Ramakrishna,
    just go throw the below description.
    Replacement Path
    Use
    You use the Replacement Path processing type to specify the value that automatically replaces the variable when you execute the query or Web application.
    Integration
    The processing type Replacement Path can be used with characteristic value variables, text variables and formula variables.
    Features
    The following options are available:
    Replace with Characteristic Value
    Text and formula variables with the processing type Replacement Path can be replaced with a corresponding characteristic value. In the variables editor, on the General tab page under Reference Characteristic, specify the characteristic that is to be referenced by the replacement. In the Replacement Path tab page, you can choose whether the variable is replaced with the From or the To Value and with the Key or the Name of the characteristic value. You can also specify the Offset Start and Offset Length for the output.
    Replace with Query
    Characteristic value variables with the processing type Replacement Path are replaced with the results of a query. In the variables editor, on the Replacement Path tab page, select the query whose result you want to use as the variable. You can now process the data result of the selected query as a variable in a different query.
    Replace with Variable
    Characteristic value variables, hierarchy variables, text variables and formula variables with the Replacement Path processing type can get their values from a different variable.
    The following prerequisites need to be fulfilled:
    Variable
    ●     The variable must not be input ready
    ●     The variable must represent a single value
    Source variable
    ●     The source variable must not be a hierarchy node variable
    ●     The source variable must be input ready
    ●     The source variable must be available in the query
    ●     The source variable must represent a single value or an interval
    In the variables editor, on the Replacement Path tab page, specify the source variable from which the value is to be determined. The value is either determined from the key, the external attribute of the key, the description, or the attribute value. You can specify an Offset Start and an Offset Length for the output here.
    The variable is replaced on the variables screen upon each data release.
    Activities
    In the variables editor, on the General tab page, choose the processing type Replacement Path.
    Example
    If you specify a variable as a characteristic value, you do not have to give a text for the characteristic value right away. Instead, you can fill the text field dynamically, according to the characteristic that you use for the variable when you execute the query. To do this, define a text variable with automatic replacement.
    Regards,
    Shailaja

  • Regarding Variable entry at the query runtime

    Hi
    In the Query Designer they have taken many variables which are user entry but when I run query I am getting only few options where I can enter values and other variables are not displayed for entry and they are taking some value as default though thay do not have default value. When I check it in Query Properties all Variables are displayed but at the Query Runtime very few are displayed.
    Please suggest me how to get all options at the Query Runtime  to enter the values. It is very urgent Plz send ur suggestions soon.
    Points will be assigned.
    Regards
    Balaji

    Balaji,
    I suspect some of your variables have been personalized. Run the query, when it's run then select Change query - Change variables values from the Bex toolbar. Have any variables little yellow smiley faces on the right hand side of the input area?  If so you may want to remove the personalization by selecting each face and select reset personalization.

  • Regarding Variable currency and unit values

    Hi
    All I am receving variable currency and quantity units while executing a particular query. For currencies I am getting AU, EA, Etc. For Quantity also I am getting AU and EA. Where as I want all the currency values as INR and for Qunatity as EA (Each).
    Is there any setting that I have to enable to get such results??
    Regards
    Jay

    hi jayanth,
    u are loading data in different currencies, due to that u r getting these results.
    you should make a currency conversion rule that would direct all of ur currencies to INR depending on exchange rate in transaction RRC1.
    Then depending on ur requirement you can change the currency of ur data either in update rules or while maintaining the same in the query properties for the key figures.
    hope it helps,
    ajay

  • Regarding Variable

    Hi,
    Can any one help me to solve my problem.
    I am having a query based on infoset.For one of the info object when i am trying to restrict it, in the pop up window under the variable tab i am not finding any global variables, but when i am trying to create a query on infocube & restriction on the same info object here it is showing the global variables.i am not getting why it is not showing in infoset.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    shaik.

    This seems to be the way SAP designed it to work in InfoSets, although I agree that it is confusing.
    This behavior appears to be related to the technical names assigned to the characteristics on the InfoSet. They do not use the actual InfoObject names, but a generic name that looks sort of like a navigational attribute, except with 3 underscores (e.g., ZxxxxIS___Fnn).
    Of course, the workaround is to create a new variable for the InfoSet characteristic that behaves the same as the one you would have used on the base characteristic.
    Hope this helps...

  • Regarding Variable Substitution

    Hi Everyone,
    I am using Variable Substitution for the target filename. target structure is shown below.  I want to capture ProductionStartDate and ProcessOrderNumber from the payload. How do i specify them in the Variable Substitution table under Reference
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <ns1:Root PublicationDate="2009-07-02T06:30:38Z" xmlns:ns1="PMI-SAP-PSS4">
      <ProcessOrder ProcessOrderNumber="222222222" ProductionStartDate="2009-07-01" ProductionStartTime="12:08:00" Action="CANCEL">1-20090701-222222222-c.xml</ProcessOrder>
      </ns1:Root>
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi,
    Please see this example, it will help you to form yours:
    If the variable refers to an element in XML schema, add the prefix payload: to the information under Reference. The reference then comprises a pseudo path description in the form of a comma-separated list with the schema namea,na,nameb,nb,....
    namea,nameb,...corresponds to the element name and na,nb,... corresponds to the occurrence of the element name at the respective level in the document.
    The description begins at the root of the document and ends at the respective element.
    To reference the element that is in bold in the example, the following expression is used: payload:root,1,e1,1,e2,2
    The parser searches for the first occurrence of the root element at the first level. It then searches for the first occurrence of e1 at the second level and for the second occurrence of e2 at the third level. The content of the last element (u201CExample Valueu201D) is set as the value for a specified variable.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <root>
      <dummy>
         <e1>
            <e2>Data_1</e2>
            <f/>
            <g attr="abc">text</g>
            <e2>Data_2</e2>
         </e1>
      </dummy>
      <e1>
         <e2>illegal/value</e2>
         <f/>
         <g attr="abc">text</g>
         <e2 attr="fghij">Example Value</e2>
      </e1>
    </root>

  • Very odd behavior regarding variable naming with DataService.fill()

    I'm experiencing this odd behavior in LCDS 2.5, wich pertains
    to variable naming for the objects returned by a DataService.fill()
    call. I ceated a simple destination with a Java adapter. the Server
    side Java data object is defined as follows)
    package test;
    public class RepositoryObject
    private String m_strObjectId;
    private boolean m_bIsValid;
    private long m_lSize;
    [public setters and getters here]
    On Flex side, the ActionScript value object is defined as
    follows:
    package test
    [Bindable]
    [RemoteClass(alias="test.RepositoryObject")]
    public class RepositoryObject
    public var m_strObjectId:String;
    public var m_bIsValid:Boolean;
    public var m_lSize:Number;
    public function RepositoryObject()
    The FDS destination definition (in
    data-management-config.xml):
    <destination id="testDs">
    <adapter ref="java-dao" />
    <properties>
    <source>test.TestDS</source>
    <scope>application</scope>
    <metadata>
    <identity property="m_strObjectId"/>
    </metadata>
    <network>
    <session-timeout>20</session-timeout>
    <paging enabled="false" pageSize="10" />
    <throttle-inbound policy="ERROR" max-frequency="500"/>
    <throttle-outbound policy="REPLACE"
    max-frequency="500"/>
    </network>
    <server>
    <fill-method>
    <name>getObjects</name>
    </fill-method>
    </server>
    </properties>
    </destination>
    What I figured while debugging into the client was is the
    data returned by the service (I'm using the mx:DataService call)
    returns objects whose variable names
    do not match my definition:
    m_strObjectId becomes objectId
    m_lSize becomes size
    m_bIsValid becomes isValid
    I wonder why that renaming??? Basically "m_str" prefix was
    stripped and capital "O" became lower case "o" for my first
    variable etc.
    For instance, in a datagrid cell renderer I could not
    reference the returned value as {data.m_strObjectId}, but if I use
    {data.objectId}, it works.
    Any ideas why this behavior (which I found confusing and odd)
    would be greately appreciated.
    Robert

    The latter, as "getM_strObjectId " is an ugly name... don't
    tell me that causes issue...ok kidding, I got you. The
    setter/getter names are important in this context.
    Thanks a lot.
    Robert

  • Regarding Variable Tracking in Weblogic Integration Console

    Hi,
    I am new to WLI. I am testing the process using JProcessUnit.
    To test my business process, in my test case I am retrieving the process variables. For that I have to make the Variable tracking on through WLi console-system configuration. However this option is not visible there. I set the Default Tracking Level to Full. I am able to see Default Tracking Level & Default Reporting Data Policy. And there should be the third option as Variable Tracking according to docs but its not there.
    When I am going through the docs of WLI there it is visible.
    Could anybody help me out in finding the Variable Tracking on wli console? <b>Its argent</b>.
    It will be the great help.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Regarding Variables declared i n Subroutine

    Hi All,
      Can any body give me information about how to capture the data types of   Variables declared in Subroutine?

    Hi Aruna,
    You can use the DESCRIBE command and get the data type of the variables used in the subrotuines.
    do a F1 help on DESCRIBE <field> command and you will get more details. DESCRIBE command can be used for tables as well as for the fields.
    Cheers

  • Regarding Variables Documentation

    Hi Gurus,
    Can any one direct me to tutorials or documents that emphaize on usage of OBIEE variables with practical scenarios other than Oracle By Example on OTN.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Sreekanth.

    Not really links or docs as such but common uses :
    reserved OBIEE RPD settings (Security, Default Dashboard etc) :
    USER, GROUP, PORTALPATH, LOGGINGLEVEL, WEBGROUP etc
    Time Based values - use init block to populate variables to hold :
    Current period, previous period for evaluating in answers / default values in prompts etc.
    ETL / Cache Clearing
    ** e.g use init block to retrieve last ETL date for cache clearing, displaying in dashboards etc.
    Theres a few, be interesting to hear others!
