    Hi All,
I have one issue regarding version checking in diffrent systems!
<b>I want to know has version been checked in the different systems, if an existing object is being changed / enhanced?</b>
I need to know the above when i am using one program name from other.
Suppose <b>X</b> is my main program for version checking in diffrent systems.
I will be calling <b>X</b> Program from <b>Y</b> Program and <b>i need to know has version been checked in the different systems, if an existing object is being changed / enhanced?</b>
    Can anybody solve this issue!
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,

    Hi Deep,
             Try these FM "FM_AUTH_CHECK_VERSION", "/SDF/CMO_COMP_VERSION"  and "DBSYCHK_COMPARE_VERSION".
             Hope this might help you.

I have a comment.  I am very upset with Photoshop and all your tutorials regarding the quick select tool.  I have watched many tutorials and read instructions until I am blue in the face.  This tool does not work.  It is all over the place and all of your tutorials make it look so simple.  How can you advertise this as a viable tool when it just doesn't work?

It is all over the place and all of your tutorials make it look so simple.
This is a user to user Forum, so you are not really addressing Adobe here, even though some Adobe employees thankfully have been dropping by.
How can you advertise this as a viable tool when it just doesn't work?
Concluding something does not work because you fail at using it is not necessarily always justified.
The Quick Selection Tool certainly has limitations, but your post seems to be more about venting than trouble-shooting – otherwise you might have posted an image where you failed to get an expected result.

  • Older versions of Developer Tools?

I am a Mac newbie. I'm also a newbie at Java (just getting ready to start teaching myself). I have a G3 Blue Clamshell laptop with 192 megs of RAM and I'm running 10.3.12. I can't run the latest version of OS X because it requires at least 256 RAM. I've tried installing Java142Update1Tools.dmg but it says it can't install because I don't have the Developer Tools installed. But I can't find the version of Developer Tools that will work on my computer. I haven't been able to find any links to the older versions of the Developer Tools and/or XCode.
Does anyone know where I can find these? Thanks in advance for any and all information you can give.

I'm fairly sure you want Xcode 1.5. It may be on your 10.3 disks already, or you can download it from here:
    http://connect.apple.com
Log in (get a free online membership if you don't have one) and go to Downloads, then Developer tools. Search for "v1.5" (no quotes) and you'll be in the right place. Warning, it is pretty huge (372 MB).

  • Does the OEM 12c console show DB objects, same as old versions of OEM Java Console?

I have read all the documentation for Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control.  Does any piece of this product show database objects in a tree style, like the old OEM 10G java console?  Please be specific with instructions.

    Hi Dawn,
12c is more advanced with high end capabilities when compared with 10g.
Many new features were included, with lot more stack changes. The old 10g uses the AS as it middleware, but the new 12c uses the WLS (Weblogic) as its middleware.
To understand what is 12c and how it is different, follow the below URL:

  • How do I install a foxit button on my tool bar? I recently upgraded to the latest version, but my tool bar does not contain a firefox button which is need for certain tasks, such as private browsing.

I had an existing laters 3 point whatever version of Firefox and recently upgraded to Firefox 10. This new version still has the old toolbar across the top, but there is no "Firefox button" which one has to use to activate certain action such as "private browsing." Is there anyway I can install the button on the toolbar, or is there a way to change to the new version 10 interface which includes the Firefox Button. I would prefer the former (the old configuration with the tool bar on top, but if that cannot be done, how to I migrate to the new configuration which apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks for any help you can provide. I have Windows XP.

If you have the old fashioned toolbar, you can still go into Private browsing by clicking Tools, then "Start Private Browsing". All the options that are in the Firefox button are in the old style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.
To enable te Firefox button, go into View, then Toolbars, then uncheck "Menu Bar". You should have the Firefox button.

  • How to load a new version in  Central Management Console

HI I am new to  Central Management Console  and need to replace a program there with the new version.
i am not seeing how this is done.
i have gone there and located the current report. but i don't see where you replace it.

Hope you have already got know on how to add new programs to CMC. (CMC->Folders->Manage->Add->Program file->Browse and select the program)
    To replace...
If you are using SAP BO XI R3.x, you can use "Import wizard" or LCM for replacing \ overwriting the existing version of any objects (Programs, Crystal, webi reports etc..,) from one environment to another (Dev-QA, QA-UAT, UAT-Prod).
If you are using SAP BI 4.x, you can use Promotion Management which is integrated within the CMC to replace or overwrite the existing version of any objects from one environemnt to another.
To know more about using Import Wizard - http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-20523
To know more about LCM or Promotion Management - http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/xi31_LCM_User_en.pdf
Note: If you are using LCM in R3.x or Promotion Management in BI 4.x, you can also utilize the "Version management" to manage your versions to keep track off.

  • Regarding version control

    Hi,
Could u please help me out in giving some ideas of version control in sap?
First let me give some example as follows:
First if i develop something in the developement server then later when i transfer to the QA server and later to production server then is there any change in version.
Please give me a details of this issue????
    Thanks,
    Batista....

    hi priya,
    Version Control
Version control is a mechanism that helps maintaining the revision history of a development resource and tracking the changes done to it. It defines a set of constraints on how a development resource can be changed. A development resource that complies with the constraints defined by the version control is called a versioned resource. When a versioned resource is modified or deleted, a new version is created for the resource. A unique sequence number is associated with each version of the resource created in a particular workspace. This sequence number identifies the order in which the versions were created in that workspace. The DTR graphically represents the relationship between the different versions of a versioned resource in the form of a version graph.
For the representation of version graphs, this document follows the conventions shown in this figure.
The figure shows the meaning of the symbols in the version graph.
The following changes are tracked by the version control mechanism of the DTR:
    ·        Addition of the resource to the repository
    ·        Modification of the resource in the repository
    ·        Deletion of the resource from the repository
In all the above cases, a new version of the resource is created.
    Production Delivery
    Packaging
To deliver your product, you have first to package it. There are different packages you can use for shipping your product to your customers:
&#9679;      Software Component Archives (SCAs) – this is the standard way to deliver software for the SAP NetWeaver platform.
&#9679;      Software Deployment Archives (SDAs) – for top-level applications you can deliver only the executable part of the software. You can directly deploy the SDA file.
&#9679;      Public Part Archives (PPAs) in Development Component Interface Archives (DCIAs) – for reusable components (Java EE server libraries, Web Dynpro components, Visual Composer components and so on). You can deliver only the metadata of the components. DCIA can be included in SCA file too.
    How to do that?
Using the command line tool provided with the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment you can:
&#9679;      package a collection of components into an SCA including only the deployable archives. This is required if you do not want others to reuse the delivered components.
&#9679;      package a collection of components into an SCA including the deployable archives and the corresponding interface archives. This allows customers to develop against these components. Those customers can directly import the SCA into their own SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) or into an SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio local installation.
&#9679;      package the public parts of a component together with the required metadata into a DCIA (and further into an SCA).
&#9679;      include source code into an SCA.
&#9679;      unpack a deliverable archive and drop the result into an existing version control system for example, or directly import them into an existing Design Time Repository (DTR).
Delivery of Source Code for Further Customization
In addition, you can deliver source code to your customers to allow further customizing or add-on development. The deliverable archive may contain sources for:
    &#9679;      individual development components (DCs).
&#9679;      a collection of development components, for example a whole software component (SC).
    Example
A customer can add a new source compartment to an existing configuration, and then locate that compartment in the file system where it is accessible by the version control system in charge. Then he or she extracts the sources with the command line tool to the compartments root directory and refreshes the configuration in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio. The compartment tree is populated with components from the archive. Afterwards, the customer may put those components under version control. Deliverables that contain only individual components may be treated accordingly.
This mechanism may also be used for other purposes, for example for setting up a simple backup and restore mechanism for components in Developer Studio, or sharing DC sources without having a central version control system: a developer may pack a compartment and store the resulting SCA on a central share or backup system. Another developer may take that SCA and import it.
    Limitations
Note the following limitations connected with this kind of source code delivery:
&#9679;      There is no support for handling conflicts when different actors in a delivery chain develop independently in the same source code. You cannot prevent the customer from modifying delivered sources. When you ship a new version of the sources, there is no special support for updating and no support for merging the update with modifications done by the customer. You and the customer have to agree on a process how those conflicts are handled. For example, the customer can decide not to import the update you deliver directly into the active development line, but to unpack the delivered sources to some unconnected sandbox system and perform the required merges manually.
&#9679;      When you deliver source code to customers, it is important that you also deliver the required libraries and generators that are needed to build these sources. For example, it may be necessary to ship some archive compartments that contain used components.
&#9679;      There is no support for delivering deletions in a new version. If a source file was deleted, the customer has to manually ensure that the file is also deleted in the Developer Studio or source code management system.
&#9679;      If a customer prefers to work with the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI), this customer cannot directly import the source delivery package into the NWDI landscape. Between NWDI landscapes at different places, sources usually are exchanged through a more sophisticated export format that contains not only the pure source code, but also the versioning meta information of the exporting DTRs. This ensures that the importing repository can detect conflicts that arise due to modifications. If this versioning information is not available, the only way to import source deliveries is to unpack them to a file system and manually put them under version control with the Design Time Repository perspective of the Developer Studio. In case of an update, the customer would have to check out all affected files, merge them with the new versions from the source delivery, and finally check them in as a new version.

    Hi,
Have a look at SAP NOte No-

here is the text of it -
    >>>>>>>>
    Summary
    Symptom
When you activate transfer rules, the system issues error message DO 313'ParameterID & is not contained in table TPARA' or error message RSAR 274 'Data element for InfoObject & could not be created'.
    Reason and Prerequisites
This is caused by a program error.
This error occurs only if you have assigned a parameter ID to the affecteddataelement but it is not contained in the TPARA table. You can check this on the 'Additional attributes' tab in TransactionSE11.

    Hi Marinel,
The support for XSD import is limited on 10.1.2. If you can, you should consider moving to the 10.1.3 preview as the support for document style web services has improved. The other option will be to inline the schema in your WSDL.

  • New version of JRA tool

A new version of the JRockit Runtime Analyzer (JRA) tool is available
    for download on http://dev2dev.bea.com/products/wljrockit142/index.jsp
This version includes bugfixes and an updated look-and-feel. You need

    What is JRA?
The WebLogic JRockit Runtime Analyzer (JRA) is an internal tool used by
