Regarding Video segmentation

If video contain 50 frames(eg 30 sec),i want convert into 25frames(eg 15 sec) ,with  same meaning...
I want to take middle of the frames  which i need,Is it possible with Labview.

This project concludes of four parts
1.Segmentation (Video to Image conversion)
2.Comparison (Copare frame using algo.)
3.Extraction (remove duplicate frames based on algo)
4 Summarization (Collect frames and form a new content based video)So, compressing that into a simple question instead of a convoluted one... you just want to remove duplicate frames from a video and save it to file?

Shane is trying to find out if you're working with material that's not in a fcp friendly format, like h264.  It's also possible that your sequence is corrupt.  Create a new sequence with the same settings, make the old sequence active, select all (command-a) copy (command-c), make the new sequence active and paste (command-v)

  • Video Segmentation Application

    Hi all!
we are trying to develop an app for video segmentation, specially using a region growing algorithm. we have some questions, let's see if anybody can give us some advice:
1 - we are checking JAI libraries. do you think we can get something from them? is java the right language to do this?
2 - is there any library in Java for video processing? (i.e. that allows us to get frames from a video).
3 - is there any library that can help us in implementing a region growing algorithm?
    thanks in advance

Java is very possibly a good path to take.
You may find java region growing algorithm software or similar by web searches, though that is not something I have looked for, or you could build your own in java.
Visit http://www.exactfutures.com/index02.htm and the links there for examples of how to use the java media framework for working with pixels and video analytics.

    Hello,
I'm not techno, so I am sure someone out there can help real quick!
Whenever I use my PC to playback some of the short videos I have recorded on my iPhone, some of the clips are upside down, or 'on their side', and I can't see how to rotate them back to the way they should be.

  • IMovie Clipping audio from imported video segments

    Hey all,
Using MPEGStreamclip with Quicktime MPEG2-Playback, I converted some VOB files ripped from a non-commercial DVD to Quicktime for import into iMovie. The original DVD is PAL format, so I set MPEGStreamclip to export the clips as Quicktime using the Apple DV/DVCPro compression for video and left audio uncompressed.
Upon conversion, if I open these clips with Quicktime Player, everything looks and sounds fine, beginning to end.
However, when I import these clips into iMovie, everything looks and sounds fine except the last six frames of audio for each clip is missing. Just gone.
The VOB files are just over one gig in size (the nature of VOB files, as I understand it) and once converted to QT are about the same size. The QT segments average about six minutes in length
Am I missing something very simple here?
    Thanks,
    Ron
MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.9)

... I believe Quicktime Pro can handle these ...
sorry to correct you, J, (allthough you give excellent advices so far...):
QTpro will convert the video-only of a mpeg... (loss of audio)
for converting AND demuxxing, you need 3rd party tools.
mostly recommended here, is the combo of mpeg2-plugin from apple.com (20$), plus the free tool Streamclip
for beginners, the other option is a very Mac-like app:
    DVD2DV (25/80$)

  • Video segments

I have lately updated from "Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0" to " Premiere Elements 12".  The old program gave me on the left of the working screen photo segments of each recorded portion of video that I could drag and assemble on my time line in any order.  Not able to find the same setup with new "Elements 12".
    Thanks,
    Gil

Tap the 'transistion' box inbetween each movie clip.  Change the transistion to 'None' - Done.

  • Flipping/Reversing Video Segment

I've been trying different words in the Adobe Help Viewer, but so far I have had no luck in what I want to do to my videos.
There are some segments I wish to flip over 108 degrees so the end is start and start is end.
    For example:
If you had a 5 second clip of a duck flying with his beak facing the right side of the monitor, I would like to flip it so it still plays normal but instead the duck is now facing the left side of the monitor.
Any help on this would be very grateful. :)
    Please and Thank You

Basic 3D Filter will allow you to do that.
Type "3D" in the search panel on the FX Window

  • Technical question regarding Video Preview options in Seq Settings

I am trying to wrap my head around some of the unique differences between FCP7 and PrP 5.5. What is the function of the Video Preview choices in the Sequence Setting menu? It seems standardized to I Frame Only MPEG with  other options depending on what your source footage is. Why would I use this setting as opposed to 1080 (for an AJA sequence made from Prores footage) or P2 (for an Adobe seq built from the same Prores footage) or Red which gives you no options then the one I just mentioned?
In FCP when things were rendered they were used when I would export the sequence. Is PrP 5.5 the same? If I am previewing a 1080 sequence in I Frame Only MPEG, does that mean on output the whole entire sequence and effects need rendering? What is the best work flow when using Adobe or AJA sequences in regard to this Video Preview setting? It is so different from what I am used to I want to make informed choices.

Maximum Bit Depth is only suitable when ingesting 4:2:2 material and exporting with AJA or BM
Oh, man... not again. This is not true, at all. Maximum Bit Depth has nothing to do with 4:2:2 AJA or BlackMagic. And Maximum Bit Depth is not just for use with 10-bit or  greater source footage. It can be used with 8-bit material--DV, H.264,  MPEG2, anything--to great benefit.
(The following is copied and pasted since I've written it so many times...)
What Maximum Bit Depth  (either in the Sequence Settings or in the Export Settings) does is  enable Premiere Pro to render and composite in 32-bit floating point  color. It has nothing (or at least, little) to do with the source  footage, but controls how effects and transformations that shift pixels  around are rendered. Any effect in the Effects panel that has a 32-bit  badge on it will benefit from Maximum Bit Depth--the expense is greater  memory requirements and processing time, but the payoff is a higher  degree of color fidelity and precision in the rendered image. Gaussian  Blur, for example, is a 32-bit effect that will show a great difference  between when it is rendered with MBD on versus when it is off--even if  you're rendering/exporting to an 8-bit format, like DV.
From Karl Soule's article on this topic, The Video Road – Understanding Color Processing: 8-bit, 10-bit, 32-bit, and more:
A DV file with a blur and a color corrector exported to DV without the max bit depth flag. We  will import the 8-bit DV file, apply the blur to get an 8-bit frame,  apply the color corrector to the 8-bit frame to get another 8-bit frame,  then write DV at 8-bit.
A DV file with a blur and a color corrector exported to DV with the max bit depth flag. We  will import the 8-bit DV file, apply the blur to get an 32-bit frame,  apply the color corrector to the 32-bit frame to get another 32-bit  frame, then write DV at 8-bit. The color corrector working on the 32-bit  blurred frame will be higher quality then the previous example.
A DV file with a blur and a color corrector exported to DPX with the max bit depth flag. We  will import the 8-bit DV file, apply the blur to get an 32-bit frame,  apply the color corrector to the 32-bit frame to get another 32-bit  frame, then write DPX at 10-bit. This will be still higher quality  because the final output format supports greater precision.
A DPX file with a blur and a color corrector exported to DPX without the max bit depth flag. We will clamp 10-bit DPX file to 8-bits, apply the blur to get an 8-bit  frame, apply the color corrector to the 8-bit frame to get another  8-bit frame, then write 10-bit DPX from 8-bit data.
A DPX file with a blur and a color corrector exported to DPX with the max bit depth flag. We will import the 10-bit DPX file, apply the blur to get an 32-bit  frame, apply the color corrector to the 32-bit frame to get another  32-bit frame, then write DPX at 10-bit. This will retain full precision through the whole pipeline.
A title with a gradient and a blur on a 8-bit monitor. This will display in 8-bit, may show banding.
A title with a gradient and a blur on a 10-bit monitor (with hardware acceleration enabled.) This will render the blur in  32-bit, then display at 10-bit. The gradient should be smooth.
What Maximum Bit Depth does is allow  Premiere Pro's rendering engine to have more room to run, with a higher  degree of precision. It's important to remember that rendering  internally is different than exporting--and even when you're "rendering"  previews, you're actually exporting, because you're creating composited  video files of one sort or another. That's why there is a Maximum Bit  Depth checkbox in the Sequence Settings--that affects preview files, not  exports. When you're using hardware MPE, you're always operating in  MBD--or more specifically, you're rendering in 32-bit linear color.  Generally, this is "better," though I've lamented about the negative  effects of linear color processing, e.g. annoying opacity differences on  dissolves, shaggy alpha channels, etc.
The bottom line is  that Maximum Bit Depth allows Premiere Pro to generate better  (subjective), more technically accurate (objective) output, regardless  of the input and output format.

  • Regarding video performance.

    Hi,
I bought a MSI P7N SLI Platinum 750i chipset based motherboard Sn. 010B0807485693.  After 8 months the board would not post, i.e. no display on the monitor even though the Harddisk LED and the CPU fans would run.
Handed over the motherboard to Microport, they sent it to Smartlink Network Systems Limited RMA Center N.R. Road Bangalore, I had to call up about 25 times to Smartlink and they took one month to give a replacement with the MSI P7N SLI Sn. 601-7380-010B0803214616. Got it on 18/9/2009.
The motherboard which I got from Smartlink is much older, as can be seen from the serial numbers.  The video quality, i.e. clarity, color as well as frame rates are very bad compared to the original motherboard that I had.
I now know that the original motherboard never had a problem, only the technician at the Microport, Bangalore shop had delibrately not plugged in the power cord for the 9600 gt graphics card and unnecessarily made me RMA my motherboard.
I want to know if the older boards (of the same model i.e. MSI P7N SLI 750i platinum) used a different technology than the new motherboards have?
Is there a way to improve the video performance on my computer with this older motherboard.
    Thanks.

All I can say about it is that, as far as I know, the P7N you got back, shouldnt be slower then the one you send in, they should be identical in setup/build.
I have the P6N platinum and the only difference between your and my board is that yours is able to run 45nm C2Q and has 2, I believe, PCIe 2.0 slots, where as I have 2 PCIe 1.1 slots.
But that doesnt make mine a slow board either, with current setup, see my sig, I have 0 issues or performance problems.
If you can, first try different videodrivers, be sure to delete old ones with drivercleaner or such.
If that doesnt work, might try a fresh install on seperate disk/partition and see if that helps.
But if performance still is bad, I would take it back, in my opinion you should not get an older/slower board back if you rma your new one.

  • Regarding new segment in Idoc

    Hi,
I have created a new segment ZDH_HAZMAT  for hazardous materials for the idoc type ZDH_ORDERS and released it for purchase order. Actually modifying the segment data for already existing Idoc segments (E1EDP01) is possible and i have done it using user exit MM06E001. When a new segment (ZDH_HAZMAT) is added, it's showing a syntax  error . Waiting for earliest reply.
                                                            Thank you.

    Hello,
You must keep a an IF condition like this in selection program's user exit.
         if Segmetn-Name eq <New segmetn>
             break <user name>
        end.
It must stop other wise the enhancing the standard Idoc type is wrong. And so you need to check whether it is activate / released the new segment properly.
All the very best for you.
