Regarding Web AS requirement

Hi All,
I am new to Web AS and I need help in one issue. We have to design a query in such a way that when we select one option in either Radio button or using Drop down, we need to select Net Value or Gross Value and display the values accordingly. How to do it in Web Application Designer.

I am running SL Server 10.6.2, wiki works but when a person clicks an attached file in a wiki and then selects "open" they get a login popup with the notification The server at Mac OS X Server Web Services requires a username and password. Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
Back up all data.
Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

it says:

Yes it is 300 seconds and non-configurable to prevent DOS by depleting IP address on Guest wlan/vlan. There is an enhancement request filed esp. for your situation with Pre-auth ACL.

WebAS access via Portal: Web Dispatcher required for load balancing ABAP

Hi Folks -
We have EP 6.0 SP18 (Java only, WebAS 6.40, Unix/Solaris). The portal has a CI/SCS and one DI so we have a Web Dispatcher to load balance the portal servers. This works fine (and provides port 80 access).
This portal will provide access to HTTP services from an ABAP WebAS (6.20 with 6.40 kernel, Unix/Solaris). A landscape configuration entry has been added to the portal for this ABAP system. The ABAP system has a CI and multiple app servers, all capable of handling HTTP requests. This will also require port 80 access.
1. Will we need an additional Web Dispatcher to load balance HTTP requests to the 'backend' ABAP WebAS system, or will the portal be smart enough to handle the load balancing itself (perhaps based on the information in the landscape configuration)?
2. If the portal itself handles the HTTP load balancing can you point me to documentation (so I can make sure I have proper configuration)?
3. Are there any changes to this with NW2004s Portal (we plan to upgrade soon)?

Q1. If you create a system object from the "SAP system with load balancing" template in portal and configure the object to point to your CI (msg server), the LB should be handled.
Q2. Portal load balancing is handled by the message server. If you point a test URL to the port of your message server, you will notice that you are issued a redirect the URL of your dialog instance. The web dispatcher is just a proxy (with some intelligence). When a request is made to the WD, it makes a connection to the MSG server, the list of active instances is queried, a redirect is made to that instanct. If you use WD, that connection can be proxied behind a standard URL. If you connect directly to the MSG Server instead, you will notice your URL change, just as it does on the service marketplace.
WDs are good for providing services, masked (proxied) behind virtual names. If you do not want the customer to see a physical URL of the server, use the WD. There are lots of other solutions that can do this too though such as Apache, ISA, Juniper devices, Cisco LDs. WDs have a very low performance threshold though, especially if you use SSL. WD is a performance bottleneck and should be benchmarked to see if it is right for your application.
Q3. No changes this architecture in 04s.

We have a requirement that C4C Standard BO - Standard Inbound Web Service to be called from External Non SAP System say X.
Now before the Web Service post anything to Cloud directly, we want to involve Custom logic/code to determine certain information based on Incoming Country field.
- Is this logic possible under SDK for Web Service.
- If yes, please mention steps OR illustrate some example OR provide link to existing help.
- If not,do you believe, its good idea to do required logic in ECC etc so system X calls ECC Web Service which internally executes logic and calls C4C Web Service i.e. flow would be system X consumes ECC Web Service A and ECC consumes C4C Web Service.

WEBi reporting requirement

Hello All,
I am stuck with one WEBi requirement. The requirement is as follows. I will try to make it simple.
I have one BEx query from which i am getting data Cost Center (0COSTCENTER) & Actuals which i am displaying in WEBi report.
For example BEx 1:
CC1   100
CC2   200
CC3   300
CC4   400
I have another BEx Query which shows data as Sales Organization and actuals .
For example BEx 2
SO 1000
Now in WEBi i want to do a calculation as follows using above BEx queries as follows :
CC1   100   (100/1000)*100
CC2   200   (200/1000)*100
CC3   300   (300/1000)*100
CC4   400   (400/1000)*100
I hope the above example is clear enough. The problem i am facing is how to use the amount from the second BEx query to use against each cost center amount from the first BEx query in WEBi .

Here i am putting a screenshot to give you detail that it does't work for me.
Actuals YTD is coming from Query 1 in which i have hierarchy for cost elements.
Actuals is coming from Query 3.

Bapi as web service - required by schema description

I exposed a BAPI as a web service. Lets take for example the bapi to update / change a business partner. When trying to update for example the first name I have to create a complex type: centralPersonData and I have to create ALL simple types that are subtypes of centralPersonData even when I only want to change one of this attributes otherwise I will get a:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.XmlMarshalException: XML Serialization Error. Property [...] of class [...] must exist and can not be null. This is required by schema description.
I know that I get this error because the XML element tags are not created when I do not initialize the values. In the moment I initialize all values "by hand" and have to write sometimes about 50 lines of code only to update one value. Is there a better way to solve this?

i have built one application i.e. one program in ABAP, which has some 10-15 Dialog Screens in it, but the requirement is to call that program from an external Website , i am totally dumbstruck, and have no clue on how to do it, my last Query was answered by you, so i am directly adressing you, as u said, we can handle this kind of situations with Web services. Please explain me in detail, if its possible with an example.

Hi,
SAP has a number of different ways that data can be presented to or obtained from a web page.
- If the web page is to be built using external tools that just want to call SAP as an interface, then the Web Service is probably the best choice. This requires you to build the business logic independant of the screen logic as described by Rich.
- If SAP is to produce the Web page, then tools such as BSP, Web Dynpro and ITS can be used. BSP gives the best presentation at a cost of having to code to handle some browser peculiarities. Web Dynpro gives slightly less flexible presentation, but is more stable in handling supported browsers and is SAP's preferred way forward for web presentation within a company. ITS is older technology and requires more HTML and Javascript coding, but can provide a simple front end for Dynpro based screens (eventually these will need to be migrated to BSP / Web Dynpro as SAP reduces support for ITS - they are already moving most internal services, and have made documentation on the ITS almost impossible to find in SAP Help).

My Military web site requires a certificate. My certificate that is loaded on mycard reader is a .cer file , foxfire wants a pkcs12 file so I can't load my certificate in foxfire.Why does foxfire not accept my .cer ?

When I try to go to web sight https://sscc-fe-03.med.navy.mil/EXCHANGE I get the message "this page requires a client certificate. I have a Activcard card reader hooked up to USB port with my security inserted. I try to import my certificate into foxfire and it will only accept a pkcs12 file and my certificate is a .cer file. All the checks I do on my card reader show it is working properly and my security card works fine when on work computer but at home I have this problem. How can I get foxfire to accept my .cer certificate when I try to import it or read it off my card reader?

I am running Firefox 12.0. It is not able to import the p12 files which wasn't a problem on the older versions or IE. The error message is either:
PKCS#12 operation failed for unknown reasons
or
Failed to decode the file. Either it is not in PKCS#12 format, has been corrupted, or the password you entered was incorrect
The p12 file I am using is from a certificate test suite from the department of defense. and the file works fine on IE.

I have a Table in my view and I want to export the data in the table in Excel. I have a pdf Exporting Context Data into Excel Using the Web Dynpro Binary Cache
It talks about the Sample Application WDExcelExport.zip. I am unable to locate this zip file
Also for using Web Dynpro Binary Cache do I need to add some other JAR files in the classpath.
Is it possible that apart from saving the data in excel, can the data be saved in some other formats eg .html, .txt, .pdf

IC Web Client: Requirement: After click on button END back to CALL LIST

we are using CRM 2007 (6.0).
I have to implement the following requirement:
When the user clicks on the button END in Interaction Center the user should come back to the CALL LIST.
Right now the the system always is getting back to IDENTIFY ACCOUNT. This is not very comfortable for the user as he or she has always make a view clicks to come back to the call list in order to call the next account (customer).
I tried to implement the required behaviour using rule policies (Intent Driven Interaction).
I customized the following:
If
Current Event Equals Interaction ended
Then
Navigate To ( Navigation Object type:Action = "IC_BT_IHI:B" )
Now I am pretty sure that the event 'Interaction Ended' is the right one, BUT my action is not correct! The system does not jump back to the call list.
My problem is that I can't find the correct action which gets me back to the CALL LIST!
Or is there another way to implement this requirement?
I would really appreciate your help!

How to deploy and start PHP web services required for a process

i ve implemented some php web services. One of them is ManagePatientsImpl.php class
and the corresponding ManagePatients.wsdl.
How can deploy it? What are the files required apart from them?
In addition there are some GUI-files. Should these files be deployed together?

A question regarding Web Service Client

Hi,
I read the tutorial "Creating Web Service Clients with JAX-RPC" and I coundn't understand something.
The code conatins, for example: (Stub) (new MyHelloService_Impl().getHelloIFPort()); Since it's a stand alone client, how it suppose to recognize MyHelloService_Impl()? Should it be added to the project libraries? What did I miss here?

The wscompile tool generates class files required by the static stub client. The HelloClient program creates a stub as follows:

The wscompile tool generates the HelloIF_Stub and HelloWorldService_Impl classes and places them in the build/classes/server/ subdirectory. To construct the HelloIF_Stub name, wscompile appends _Stub to the portType name defined in the WSDL file:

Web server requirement

Using DW I created a simple flash slideshow. It works fine in test but when I move the page, photos and file to the production server, it does not show. The first time I tested it on the test server, a message came up and said it was installing something. I think the web server must also need this installed but I don't know what it was that DW installed. Can anyone tell me if there is a requirement I need to install on the production web server?

You'll probably get better results if you post this in the Dreamweaver forum:

That said, you don't need to install anything on the web server to run a Flash slideshow. The browser needs Flash Player, but most browsers already have it installed. If it works in your test environment and not in your production environment, I'd make sure you uploaded all your files to the correct locations on the web server.
